What is the whole point of niche perfumery? It’s not meant to please everyone—that’s the general rule; they blend the highest-quality essences, throw in something unexpected, and—voilà—it becomes art !!! :) In this particular case, that "something extra" is leather—but mind you, there are all kinds of leather notes out there. After a brief, non-intrusive synthetic opening, notes of strawberry and caramel emerge—though the caramel isn't overpowering—followed by perfectly balanced rose, amber, and leather. Getting back to that leather note I mentioned: it is incredibly smooth and likable. It fits the composition perfectly. While it leans slightly feminine, a man could easily wear it too. I’d say it’s the best strawberry-forward fragrance I’ve ever tried. A success. However, the benzoin note at the end just doesn't work for me.

Beauty in the Balance, some fragrances are easy to understand from the first spray. **La Capitale** isn't one of them. On my skin, it opens with a beautiful fruity sweetness, but before you can settle into that, a soft leather note quietly makes itself known. Then there's this hint of chocolate that doesn't scream "dessert", it simply rounds everything out, giving the fragrance warmth and depth. None of the notes compete for attention. Instead, they take turns telling the story. What I appreciate most is its balance. The leather is never harsh, the fruit is never juvenile, and the chocolate never becomes overly sweet. It feels elegant without trying too hard. To me, this fragrance shines brightest in the spring and fall, when the air is cool enough to let those contrasting notes breathe. That said, I wouldn't limit it to those seasons. It's versatile enough to wear whenever you want something that feels polished, unique, and just a little unexpected. Stay Priceless.

This is an astonishing fragrance, by an astonishing fragrance house, my all time favourite fragrance i have ever smelt by a huge amount, it is so classy, it is great for using during the colder months and it also works in the summer however it may feel too cloying in the heat for some. it is blended perfectly with the strawberry and caramel, with a hint of leather but not the overpowering type, it is a smooth. and classy type. it is certainly worth the price, especially if you can find it on discount

Obviously not everyone’s idea of this fragrance but this is genuinely my favorite fragrance I have ever smelled so far. As someone who doesn’t like leather that much in fragrances this is done perfectly. With the notes being full of sweetness, it would be expected to be a feminine. Instead it is balanced because of the leather. You get a very realistic strawberry and peach but the strawberry really takes the reins. While the strawberry and peach are nice and sweet the leather and caramel combine to make a sweet and very elegant leather scent that keeps it from being overbearingly sweet. The quality is very much there. It is one of those scent you just have to smell when you can. 10/10 perfection.

First day of trying La Capitale by Xerjoff. My bf thought I sprayed Naxos. To me it is different, more weak, smell by itself is ok, but nothing wow amazing. I almost couldn’t smell it on myself, not long lasting and not much of strawberries. Will use my sample, but not worth a full bottle sorry

Strawberry is the only element I can truly pick out. It's fruity, very sweet, but there's something in it that keeps it from going overboard. It may be the leather and amber. I was really looking for a grown up refined strawberry this summer, and this might be it.

I like a lot of Strawberry fragrances, this however was a bit different It's buttery smooth and well blended, you cannot tell the "edges" this scent has has, to be expected from xerjoff. Now, Idk how this smells in the air to other people, but smelling it up close on my hand it was too sweet, dense and cloying, the sweetness felt dialed up way above the "accepted" limits And again, this may be intentional so that the wafts in the air it produces leave an impression on some people, because a quick waft can't be cloying.

I don’t smell the strawberry. I do get hints of peach skin. It’s a sweet but not too sugary perfume, and the drydown is delightful. Worth its price tag.

Smells very synthetic peachy almost medicinal but it's nice. Don't smell any leather in here at all. If it was less synthetic smelling this would be a love. Don't smell any strawberry milky elements in this at all either. It's just very peachy and florally.

To describe it you only need 3 ingredients: Strawberry, Caramel and Leather. It is well made, and in my opinion one of the more unique scents from Xerjoff. I Could imagine this going well in an evening bar/club setting.

I’ve been dying to try this for almost 2 years now. I finally did get a sample but was too small to really get the full wear, but it did smell pretty good(perfectly unisex btw). A few weeks later I bought a bigger decant of this and the first day of wearing it out, no kidding, I get 5 compliments within 4 hours of applying it. I was lowkey geeked ngl, because I never get compliments likes that. I also wasn’t really expecting it to smell how it does. It smells like a strawberry milkshake with caramel drizzle next to some roses. Would’ve loved to have the full bottle but summer is around the corner and this fits every season….but summer Update: I just got another compliment

Grabbed a sample of this and didn't love it at first leaned a tad too fem for me but over time revisiting I learned to love it BUT then I pulled the trigger on a fb and unfortunately this has been reformulated the current is much thinner and doesn't last nearly as long... dammit

It just doesn’t hit for me 😞😞😞 and I was so looking forward to it , my nose doesn’t even pick up on the strawberries . All I get and my body chemistry gets is Ginger, Leather and a hint of caramel 😕 maybe I need to let it macerate. So disappointed ☹️ 5/10

La Capitale is nice and special- youthful and pretty. I like it! The opening has a distinctive, fresh smell of real strawberry, wrapped in sweet caramel, paired with a subtle, well-blended leather note, along with a peachy, fruity freshness. I adore the beginning, yet that feeling doesn’t really last for more than an hour. After that first hour, La Capitale starts drying down into a distinctive Xerjoff DNA (think Erba Pura dry-down), but the strawberry remains present, which is what differentiates it from the rest. It becomes increasingly sweet- almost syrup-like- most certainly cloying in hot weather and perhaps a bit overwhelming for my senses. The longevity and sillage are solid- it really stays on. If it stayed the way it is in the first hour, I would want a full bottle immediately. Given that it becomes quite sweet, I’m still not sure whether it will make my “I want it” list.

it's not really what i was expecting. i don't smell the caramel or vanilla at all. i think i may be picking up on the peach, strawberry and leather. to me, it just smells like a giant gummy bear. kinda weird

Xerjoff La Capitale is my first niche fragrance, and it truly feels special. The blend of strawberry and leather is beautiful, unique, and very addictive. It’s rich, smooth, and leaves a strong impression. An unforgettable scent and an easy 10/10 for me.

This is magnificent perfume! I been into perfumes for many years by now and La Capitale is first perfume i feel like its me in a bottle! Ive own this for a while now and i can confidently say that this is my signature scent. La Capitale is amazingly blended sweet perfume, oud and leather gives it body and makes it unique. Ive never smelled anything like this before. It got masculine edge but its a quite feminine fragrance imo. When wearing this i feel confident and well-groomed. La Capitale is expensive smelling perfume. Im wearing it year around but mostly i use this in fall and winter times. This is heavy perfume, might get to cloying in the summer heat. Im happy that i found this masterpiece of a perfume!

SCRUBBER DUBBER! The notes look like this could be the next big thing, the opening isn’t too bad with the strawberry and leather but the dry down smells like every other cheap Arabic perfume that would be sold on tik tok or those booths in the shopping malls! No wonder this on discounters everywhere

If someone spilled their fruit liqueur all over a leather car seat, and the car is dirty. Doesn’t work on my skin and shares that sweet-synthetic-oudish note I find in a lot of cheap middle eastern frags.

A more grown up, sophisticated, less cloying, Britney Spears fantasy 😅

Take the Urba Pura fruity accord...turn up the peach and add caramel and leatherish notes(labdenum). Thick and heavy and milk like quality. Reminds me of someone drinking alot of strawberry daqueris and peaches and then puking. People glaze this, but its just not for me. I do like Erba Pura (prefer Kirke). I love Xerjoff bottle and Frags are always long lasting and projecting; but I dont like like any of them (Except Torino 21 --Thats a banger). This is a scrubber. 2/10

smells a lot like fruity strawberry gum

I personally feel like this shares some dna with Erba gold. But imagine that with the dry down of nomad from Bond no 9. It’s so good and lasts a LONG time

this perfume is something. Few things Id like to give my opinion on. 1. It is NOT too feminine. Yes its super gourmand and fruity, but I get just enough leather in there to make it smell masculine enough. Its definitely in the unisex territory. 2. To me, this is an all year scent. Yes its gourmand, but the strawberry is so juicy that I wear this in summer as well. Maybe not in an extremely hot day, but on an average summer day I totally wear this. the caramel is definitely there, but the strawberry is juicy, I wouldnt say its cloying. 3. Ive heard people say this is like a strawberry cheesecake. I disagree. Maybe after 20 mins of dry down it gets a bit more cheesecakey, but to me, the strawberry is so juicy that it smels more like strawberry and caramel syrup put together. I dont know how to describe but I dont get warmth from the strawberry, I get juicyness. Performance is great, I get 6-8 hours from this. If youre a strawberry fan, you can definitely daily this, but its best for special occasions. Then again, if you like strawberry I can absolutely see someone rocking this daily.
