This fragrance successfully bridged the gap between East and West regarding the oud note, which some find jarring or overly animalic. Perfumer Chris possesses a keen eye and has found a way to satisfy both sides by adding rose and fruit, blending them in a way that avoids vulgarity. The result is a sophisticated fragrance that garners compliments from everyone. Overall 9/10

This perfume absolutely reeks! I read so many positive things about it online and Lo and behold I found it in selfridges and sprayed my arm. Big fat mistake! Awful! I tried scrubbing it off with a baby wipe. No luck! This thing sticks and it stinks! Sorry!

I don't think the notes description fits... like, at all. This opens up with cognac, then it becomes VERY rosy. There is barely any oud. It's like a slightly better version of Rose d'Arabie - without the mushroom/yeastiness Rose d'Arabie has. It doesn't smell fake candy on me. It doesn't smell other flowers either. Quite a flat smell too, just like Rose d'Arabie. Good for an evening rose perfume, but not something that hasn't been attempted recreated several times.

Compared to Ombre Nomade, it’s fruitier, less oud-heavy, and more unisex. That’s really the only difference.

I love oud and this is not it. Sad! Tuff name would be perfect for gifting sad it doesn’t smell good. They really brought those plastic fruits of erba pura and threw them with oud and the result is plasticky cheap oud

For me a bit Hate to Love roller-coaster. I don't remember how the opening smells. And honestly? I don't want to remember at all! At ALL! It easily makes my top 10 worst fragrance openings I've ever tried. When I first sprayed it, I genuinely hated it. I couldn't believe Xerjoff would release something like this. But then... 5 to 10 minutes later, everything changed. The woody, floral, and slightly oudy notes started to emerge. A beautiful scent began to radiate. If you can survive the opening, it transforms into something I would genuinely enjoy wearing. But here's the catch: after about 2 hours, all that was left was a floral scent. No oud. No woody weight. Just flowers. At that point, I'd say it leans more feminine than unisex, at least to my nose. Performance? Absolutely insane. I sprayed it on my arm around 3:15 PM. By midnight (12:15 AM), there was no projection left, but I could still smell it on my skin. And when I woke up at 5:30 AM, I could still faintly detect it on my arm. That's almost 14 hours, and I haven't even tried it on clothes yet. I'm pretty sure it will last 24+ hours on fabric, just like Naxos. So calling this a beast-mode performer wouldn't be an exaggeration. The Xerjoff quality is undeniable. None of the notes feel synthetic. The ingredients scream "premium." You can always count on Xerjoff for that. Would I buy it? Well... I don't think so. Not when Naxos exists. But if I had to choose between this and something else -but not Naxos-? Absolutely! Even though I find it leans feminine, it still worked beautifully on my skin as a man. No issues there. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone curious. But I also want to remind you: there are better Xerjoff fragrances out there. And better fragrances from many other houses too. Bottom line: Survive the opening, and you'll be rewarded with a beautiful, high-quality floral-woody scent with insane longevity. But still, if someone says "Xerjoff", my personal answer is just one, "Naxos".

Reminds me a lot of Ambre Levant This scent profile isn't unique by any means, you can find at least a 100 variations and takes on this if you went to local perfume markets in the Middle East

My sister received it as a gift from a friend that didn't like it. Everything bad and every bad stereotype that people say about arabic perfumes is true for this one. It's so cloying and heavy even in winter. It gives migraines. It doesn't wash off easily. We have to hid it from our dad because he loves it but everyone in the house hates it.

More Than Words is currently one of my favorite oud fragrances. I really appreciate how it's not like a lot of oud fragrances that are currently on the market; oud, saffron, raspberry, ugh enough of that already. More Than Words has a more exotic edge. There's something mysterious and dare I say, ancient about this fragrance. Chris Maurice really excels at creativity in his work.

An extremely intense, heavy, wine-like, even vinegary, very tiring, sweet and sour perfume that no one should wear. I'd say it's Xerjoff's most ordinary work. It smells cheap. Although I generally don't like rose and oud perfumes, if you're looking for a perfume with high sillage, wearable, high-performance, and artistic qualities, get Jean Marc Sinan/Sinan perfume. It's quite hard to find, and its lasting power is measured in months, not hours. Moreover, it's extremely characterful.

Top of the line oud rose fragrance. The tiktok fragrance craze has brought in a bunch of immature noses which is why high end frags like this get compared to cheaper dupe brands but dont be fooled. This is a high quality fragrance thats been blended beautifully. A sweet rose and oud

Анонім★★★★★

insanely beautiful ! a thick juicy sweet and tart floral fruity (apple jam like to me) feel with some dry woody a bit leathery smoky oud accord and some feral musks. there is some sot of incense like feel that pairs beautifully with the fruits, florals and woods. the oud accord reminds me of ombre nomade, but its toned down alot here and sweet fruity floral notes are at the forefront. one of the best rose oud "accords" out there imo.

Nose Note #1030 I don't know if I'm dissapointed or not. I love the Ombre Nomade adjacent DNAs and this is just one of them... A lot like much much MUCH cheaper Lattafa Oud Mood and Opulent Oud... Go figure... Still a great scent, but considering the embarassing similarity to the UAE dupe brand in quality and scent and the steep price of Xerjoff I guess I'm a bit upset. 8.5/10, it still deserves all the praise

Was really excited to try this after success with purchases of Naxos, 40 Knots and Torino 21 from the house. Sadly all I’m picking up is the smell of Vicks Vaporub even two hours after spraying onto skin which is odd as in the air I I don’t pick that up and it smells stunning. Well blended and not screechy but just has overly menthol smell to me. Sure others will find this to their liking so I’ll give it a 6.5 out of 10.

When Xerjoff - More Than Words was first released, it was a fragrance predominantly worn by men. Over time, however, it became highly popular among women as well, driven by their search for potent, high-performing scents. In my opinion, it is a textbook definition of a true unisex fragrance. If we wonder why this specific perfume achieved such massive fame among Xerjoff’s extensive lineup, the absolute answer is its longevity. While I find it to be a deep and complex scent, at its core, it is nothing more than a classic rose-oud combination for me. To truly enjoy this fragrance, the temperature needs to be below 7°C. Even a slight warmth will completely suffocate both you and the people around you. Some mention notes of olive, others describe it as overly sweet; personally, I couldn't pick up any of those. Yes, there is some sweetness, but it is definitely not overwhelming. It is simply a fruity, rosey oud. It is absolutely not a perfume I would ever choose to wear.

It's that time of the year again when I begin my search for some new summer fragrances. I typically add three or four to my rotation; a couple for hot day wear and perhaps a couple more for warm summer evenings. Following a recommendation, I purchased a sample of More Than Words. It is definitely a fragrance for cooler summer evenings rather than a freshie for high heat and it works well in a dressed-up setting. Last year, I wore Xerjoff's Naxos 1861 for such occasions, and More Than Words is a great alternative to that. In the opening, I get a strong, sweet, fruity liquorice note, at the base of which is oud. For me, the vibe is Middle Eastern rose-oud rather than traditional oriental amber-spice, though there is, of course, a subjective element to this. I'm not overly keen on sweet fragrances typically, yet I do like it here, as it has a depth and richness to it. After the opening phase, the sweetness retreats and the oud and amber notes begin to stand out, while the early fruity notes dissipate and are replaced, for me, by floral notes, mainly a grainy, dusty rose. It slightly puts me in mind of SL's Santal Majuscule, which is another summer evening favourite of mine. As More Than Words settled down, it remained fairly linear for the next 2-3 hours, before developing a more smoky, woody, and herbal accord, alongside the deep, resinous amber and oud notes. It was still evident on my skin and projecting after eight hours. Tested: 1 ml decant Seasons / occasions: Spring and summer dressed-up evenings out Key thoughts: Good alternative for Naxos 1861. Plays a similar role in my mind, so might be a good buy after I finish the Naxos. Overall rating: 8.5/10 Buy full bottle: Possibly

The Perfect wedding scent I don’t know why Xerjoff new releases are lacking of creativity and I miss the performance of the old batches the pre 2021 reformulation

Анонім★★★★★

The opening smells like olives, but that's okay, it disappears after ten minutes. The dry down is an absolutely perfect rose and oud combo.

Анонім★★★★★

In a store, I was only able to squeeze the last one and a half drops out of the tester and what I got was green olives in a salty brine - which I prefer as a side dish. I had to order a decant. It was delivered a couple of days ago, and I only had time for a quick check with two sprays on my wrist, but there were no olives whatsoever. Actually, the scent was really nice. If I were a betting man, I would bet on a drop of Laotian oud in the top, a drop of sandalwood, and cedar and two drops of amber in the base. The rest is a great dose of Bulgarian rose water with some sweet and sour berries(raspberries maybe), and something green like lily-of-the-valley or more like cassis... hmm. It definitely has a Xerjoff signature which means a big-time mass-appealing fragrance. I will happily come back to this scent when I feel like it.

Damn man I just love this one. So sexy.

This is a very close copy of wisal by ajmal. Which is an older scent. very smooth and very popular is Arabic region. So popular that there is few flankers of wisal. I am amazed only 1 person pointed it in the reviews. This smell was my first obsession of perfumes. Although it used to be advertised as Female scent its a unisex smell

Анонім★★★★★

I can see how people may not like this at the opening, but the dry down is phenomenal. Personally, I like the opening and the scent profile as a whole. It is a true unisex fragrance, and I think would smell great on anyone. Just for shits and giggles, I layered this with Renaissance and it actually smelled amazing lol.

Анонім★★★★★

If I were to briefly describe this scent, it would be like rose and plum in a vodka bottle. If you ask who it would suit, it might be the scent of a gentle, elegant, slender, shy, clean-dressed accountant girl/boy.

Анонім★★★★★

A little too much. Not for me. Fruity and a weird tangy smell

Анонім★★★★★

This is a beautifully crafted fragrance that really stands out. Right from the start, I pick up a smooth blend of roses, fruits, and soft woods that come together in a very elegant way. The rose is definitely the star here, but it’s done so well that it never feels overwhelming or old-fashioned. As a 45-year-old male, I don’t typically gravitate toward rose-heavy fragrances, but this one completely changed my perspective. It leans slightly feminine to my nose, yet it’s balanced enough that I truly believe anyone can wear it with confidence. Overall, this is a refined, unisex scent that feels thoughtfully composed and incredibly wearable. I would sample this on skin and allow a full dry down, if you do not enjoy rose and Oud this is not going to be your cup of tea

Анонім★★★★★

It starts with fecal notes due to the Oud, then it starts to fade few minutes later (or you get used to it). Then some white/yellow/red floral notes arise. Not for me, definitely.

Анонім★★★★★

It's in the realm of oud maracuja without the passion fruit note, however, it is still fruity fragrance. The performance is amazing. Rose d arabia is dryer less fruity heavy on dry notes like oud and oilabnanum, mahiir gold is way too smooth and silky and apporpaite quality for the price , ombre nomad is a different genere, the one mysterious night is the closet one to the same idea of this fragrance and it's really good quality if you can find it get it instead of MTW, radical rose is also a different idea and it pictures rose with patchouli giving vibes of old fermented rose that you left in ancient book. T I guess this wraps up everything

Анонім★★★★★

Masterpiece.. Smells like boozy plum with some clean rounded saffron and oud, tiny bit animalic but still clean and juicy. Then it starts to smell more like sweets and less like cognac plum, the smell is vibrant and bright but sweet and dense with very slight incense in the background. There’s a funk to it it’s slight to me, but sometimes I perceive it more than others. I love it tho and its rounded off perfectly by the saffron rose and ambergris, they clean it up and all together the smell is beautiful and is miles above Oud Pashmina by Montale, they smell quite similar but this has a beautiful bright shine that pashmina does not. To me the smell sparkles and is vibrant I think can be worn all year tbh but with some caution in summer if you care haha.

Анонім★★★★★

Brutal performance scent, rose (disguised under the "floral notes" phrase) and fermented fruits smell prevails, I don't get much oud. I don't understand how many voted it as a masculine scent, it is an unisex at best. Definitely NOT a safe blind buy like Naxos or Erba Gold, can cause nausea (did to me, altought I'm used to strong niche fragrances), the longevity is just irritating, you'll get tired of smelling it for 12 hours or more. Not office friendly, not very versatile at all. Definitely worth the money, but try before you buy.

Анонім★★★★★

It’s not my cup of tea, maybe you’ll like it if you try it.. Fruity oudy blend in a very very heavy way i would describe it, many old people may like the smell, but I don’t, regardless of the 15ml bottle i have, thank good I didn’t buy it 100ml. You got to try it very complicated perfume.
