Green and woody. You look at the clear and crisp horizon. The blue, almost white sky, the green forest. The cool evening air rustles the pine branches as a breeze cleanses the air. Your gaze is clear, you feel clean and free. Well-crafted, soft, and gracefully enveloping. A plaid flannel shirt, the woods, and a cabin. How beautiful!
Would choose this over EDP all day, this leans more mature and does not have that strong apple note. Perfect freshie for all occasions
Its decent but far overhyped in my opinion, theres better out there for less.
The opening is a hit of ginger and bergamot in front of fruity juniper berries before settling into aromatic sage and lavender heart. The base is a lovely combination of grassy cedar and patchouli.
Its drydown is similar to Eros Flame - it has that tingly sparkle. If you like it, its an awesome scent. To me it is another unfortunate blind buy. Not a bad scent, mind you, just not my cup of tea.
Love this. Layering this with Dior Sauvage EDP is a compliment magnet. Also amazing by itself. My greatest find of last year.
I wasn’t a big fan in the beginnig but I’m starting to like it more as I get used to it. As it dries down it gets a smoky and earthy character. Smells very woody and foresty on my skin. It smells like something a motorcyclist or firefighter would wear as an everyday scent. Not the most romantic fragrance. This is not a teenager fragrance, it is definitely mature.
after quite some time i just.. really have this love hate with this flanker 😩 ok so you'll know straight up this is edp's more mature version, no power punch sweetness no more, giving more clean and earthy aromatic vibe than the edp. BUT! the hate comes from when i overspray a bit, somehow the patchouli mix base is overpowering everything.. like seriously choking.. especially when i sprayed on my skin and gets heated up.. DEFINITELY less is more. then i started to spray on my clothes only.. fortunately it works better. then again, this is such beautiful clean mature scent character that i really love.. if only it doesnt have a risk to become patchouli bomb ugh😅!
This goes so far under the radar because of its younger brother. The lavender note makes this a deeper scent and honestly makes you forget about that hyped apple opening Every time I open this cap I get taken back to the most wonderful time in my life 10/10
The best YSL fragrance of all time. Hands down. What you should expect is an effervescent, bubbly fragrance with a deeper, more rich contrast to the original. Very complex flavor profile. This is at the sweet spot for being interesting and standing out while being a tasty juniper berry at the same time. YSL Y EDP is like the little brother to this scent who thinks he knows it all, while this is the esoteric rizz god that has transcended the game entirely. It's honestly very hard to find better than this and fair warning, many noses would find this too artificial. But for me personally It's a 9.8/10
I thought the only blue fragrance I liked was bleu de chanel parfum, I have always strongly disliked sauvage but this ysl intense is a cracker, really nice scent, more grown up and versatile, a clean crispness and soapyness, no sickly shower gel vibe like some of them like Dylan blue, it's more grown up and just smells like quality, fruity enough to smell great without over doing it. I got a 60ml for £55 which is good value and big enough when you have a collection, I think this is as good a scent as bdcp, love it.
Just ok if you like safe, boring, shop at the local mall designer scents. No life to it. No personality. Typical YSL stale smelling wood with some fresh up top. Smells like an introverted accountant trying to be daring. Not for me.
Smooth, versatile and masculine. Best of the Y’s to include the myself line. Myself EDP would win if it lasted longer however, it’s very youthful, better for younger guys. L’Absolu smells like dryer sheets to me, good, but boring and not very masculine. The iced and EDP intense are very similar. Iced is just lighter, brighter and doesn’t last as long. Everyone’s hyping iced when EDP intense literally smells the same just denser and lasts longer minus the mint note that only lasts in the opening of iced for about 10 minutes…. But ok. EDP intense, in my opinion is best value for money. 🤷♂️
Best Y flanker I've tried, between le parfum and the original EDP. Love the clean, soapiness of it, will be a go to for spring and summer. Does the simple, clean type of fragrance much better than much of the competition in my eyes, even within YSL's own fragrances (Myslf...). If you can get this one on a deal, definitely worth it. The performance is amazing too. Projects throughout an entire workday in customer service where I'm doing about 10k steps per shift.
I purchased a 10ml bottle. Im turning 35 his year, so i can smell im not the target..so generic and inoffensive ...its not me. Not that im special and agressive, but im a person old enough to know a bit of what makes me unique... And this fragrance doesn't let me show it...i will finish my 10ml bottle and see if my mind change...i would wear this at the club, but now i go maybe once or twice a year so...its not a bad fragrance but its not me.
My favourite mens perfume. A very safe fresh smell which I, as well as a lot of others, gravitate towards. I spent a while at the fragrance counter picking this out for my cheating ex back when my nose wasn’t so used to smelling perfumes. I smelt this next to Dior Sauvage Elixr and Bleu de Chanel as well as some other unmemorable ones. My untrained nose found them all pretty similar, but I remember I found Dior too spicy and Bleu de Chanel didn’t have such an intoxicating smell to it like this YSL one does. Luckily my ex didn’t really end up wearing this so I hope I’ll be able to smell it in the future without being traumatised. Might even buy it for myself!
I finished my bottle recently, and in the long term review I would say this is a very generic fragrance with Y DNA in it. It still has the backbone of the apple and ginger from Y EDT/EDP, but less sweeter and more aromatic. It opens with a very mild sweet tart citrus and dries down to an aromatic woody scent. Overall, it smells like a designer version of freshly washed clothes. It is no brainer and grab and put in on and you will good. You don't standout in this rather you would smell like a well put together person. I would personally choose Y EDT/Iced Cologne for summers as they are more fresh, airy and less sweeter than the EDP version, also the EDP intense is slightly sticky or cloying in high heat like 27+ degrees. And about the performance, it is very average. 1 hour of maximum projection and 2 hours noticeable if closer than 2 foot and after that it is skin scent for the next 3 hours max unless you overspray it by 4 more spray in which it will last 1 or 2 hours more. I have got more performance on the EDT than this one, also EDT and EDP are the best for compliments.
On the opening, the scent is very addictive and exciting smells like body shower gel. As it dives down the drydown it smells heavy synthetic lavender which I dont quite like. Longevity Is good. Projection is moderate. Overall: 7/10
Very underrated, in my opinion the best of the Y line!
This is still the only Y I own. I don't wear it a lot because I have so many options but the other day I was thinking I'm just going to sell it since I don't wear it. So I sprayed it on and was reminded of why I have it.
i remember when i first tried and bought this, i pictured swimming deep under the ocean, surrounded by dark blue water but not completely devoid of light, similar to the bottles color. now, i get less of the marine/watery feel and more of a mature take on y edp. it removes the green apple that y edp is known for and increases the aromatic and woodiness of it. the fresh bergamot and ginger disappears within an hour and leaves you with the sage lavender geranium common in ysl y. its aromatic, herbal and woody with a slight twinge of sweetness, and while it is suitable for the summer, honestly i feel like its better for the spring/fall, where it's not too warm nor too cold. i will say ive been getting a bit bored of this scent recently (and a lot of other designers in general ngl) but it still functions nicely as a dumb reach for work, gym, errands, etc and imo its a bit more versatile than y edp during colder weather performance is decent, projects decently and lasts 5-7 hours with 3-4 sprays smell 7/10 performance 7/10 price 6/10 overall 6.5/10, honestly if you want something fresh get y edp, if you want something more mature get y le parfum, its not too bad but i feel like you should go for one or the other
my gf likes this over sospiro vibrato
wth it is just ginger in this perfume
Bought mine the weekend. I must say I do sense alot of the drydown of D&G the One EDP in the opening and through out the wear.
My girl loved this more than the y edp. Should've bought this one since y edp is nerfed now. No hate tho I love that dna.
YSL Y edp opens better because of the apple note This one is good, but the edp is just better
I did not care for the Ode to parfum but for some reason there's something in the intense version that captivates me it's that Woody Juniper and the tone down sweetness it's just right in my opinion fantastic take on the DNA the best one in the line
The only thing that I am going to say is that this YSL stinks to my nose. It has a headache-inducing quality. Do not blind buy!
Its sorta boring, but it does it right. It smells incredibly high quality. I genuinely think YSL is the best designer.
boring. if I smelled this on a man I would find it very uninteresting. if you want cool girls to like your smell, find something else. if you like smelling like one of the ten safe variations of Man Fragrance, then go for it. maybe you'll find something interesting in it, idk. I probably don't have a nose for these types of scents because, again, boring to me.
