Not worth the hype. Very synthetic and awful medication like smell.

This smells like rubber and dust from a Thrift Shop. I hated it. My mother began to like it, took it over, and used the entire bottle. I knew instantly when she put it on. That smell of dust was awful. This does not smell at all like BR540. Don't waste your money.

I got this perfume for Christmas and HATED it on first smell. I am prone to headaches and very sensitive to musk - I can't stand the AG cloud body spray because of this - and that was all I got from this initially. Left it sitting after those initial sprays, came back to it now half a year later - more just to see if I could use it for layering - moisturised my forearm, gave it one spray and it smells... really good?!? It's warm and spicy in a way that reads slightly more cinnamon to me than cardamom but in a really soft way. Spices are another thing than can trigger headaches for me (despite my love for them) but here the cardamom is complimented by the praline, bitter orange. This is very long lasting but easy to overspray. I've also found that you need a well-moisturised patch of skin for the notes to sit nicely This will be my go-to for in the office in autumn.

I have the older bottle with the PINK cap. Anyone else? Still not sure if ANY of these clones really work OR is this a big scam ? NO CLONE comes even close to having that "cotton candy in the AIR atmosphere" that the REAL BR450 has. NOTHING comes close. 80% of the clones smell like the EXTRAIT which is the "medical glove one". This "medical glove one" is NOT the "cotton candy " one !!!!!! The frustration from this is is making me not want to spend any money on food or gas or clothes for a FULL month in order to comfortably purchase a $350.00 (PLUS TAX !!!!! )bottle of the REAL stuff at the mall. In the world of clones; WHY can't they crack the code on this one ? Save me some money, dammit. P.S. I was never paranoid about buying a FAKE fragrance online - but with BR540 - I am terrified. I will only buy this in a retail store.

Easily one of the most complimented fragrances in my collection. As someone who loves ambery and sweet scents, this was an easy love. It's warm, addictive, and has a way of making people ask what you're wearing. I especially love layering it with VS Midnight Bloom mist and lotion - the combination is sooo good!! I know the Baccarat-inspired DNA isn't exactly unique, but there's a reason it's so popular. It just smells good. Even after trying many other fragrances, I still enjoy reaching for this one. 9/10

Sweet leather and metal. Definitely get praline and amber. Holds for 12h+, extremely easy to oversprey. I do not hate it. But not overthrilled with joy either. Can see it works for me in small doses, in autumn. Definitely smell and try it before purchasing, do not go blind bay because of a price.

smells like throwing baccarat rouge on a very used bong filled with the water after several days of smoking cheap weed like crazy, has that nasty bong water odor, like REALLY STRONG, take the sweetness ans safron, of baccarat, amplify it by 5x and then add a super powerful dirty bong water concentrate, add safron and sweetness, bom, red temptation, bought it to not look like a cheap hoe after smelling all the ones Zara had back then on 2022, and damn, regret it in less than a month, after getting pregnant my nose got super powerfull and this shi+ was nasty, had to trow it to the garbage as i could not stand the smell, if you are curios of baccarat, don't buy this monstrosity, after smelling Soleil Blanc and Coconut fizz, i just couldn't stand this hellish smell, i totally get why my baby daddy abandoned me, I smelled like Bong water with this shi+ , poor dude

Cheap perfume smells cheap... what a revelation and a reminder to myself to never buy a a dupe ever again. This perfume smells like rubber gloves and egg whites and it is extremely vomit inducing. It might be the one perfume that my colleague used to wear because I remember feeling like I was going to pass out by noon from a scent very similar to this. Better off buying an inexpensive or an outdated perfume from a legitimate brand. At least the dry down is complex and pleasant than... whatever this is. It smelled good at first when my classmate used to wear it in class because it smells clean and powdery, I don't know how I missed the unpleasant notes and well... OMR 4 later and now I know.

I hated it when I first got it now after a couple months it smells like nail polish remover and really strong chemicals for the first half an hour but after that it smells like a sultry autumn day and lasts FOREVER on clothes genuinely can smell it on clothes after a wash

I wanted to like this and understand why it is so popular, but I just can't. First couple of wears, fresh out of the shower in the morning, got to my office and not an hour had gone by when I start smelling like sweat. Stale and cold sweat and the smell wouldn't leave me for the whole day. It was headache inducing. And I say this as a big fan of Zara. So it's a no from me.

genuinely the worst perfume i have ever encountered i literally get headaches and gag reflex even THINKING about it. smelled it once and had to fight off the urge to vomit every 10 minutes for the WHOLE day. ITS AWFUL😭😭

Updated review, it’s like the newer versions don’t last as long . The ones I purchased a couple of years ago when it first became popular were very long lasting so something has changed. I definitely won’t repurchase because the newer batches are weaker. The older ones would last on clothes for days. I hate when they change the fragrance. This was my third purchase and it’s weak.

I bought this perfume because of the longevity and sillage. Both are non-existent but this seems to be the case with most perfumes that are renowned for these things. Its a very lovely smelling perfume but absolutely zero lasting power and no sillage at all. Super disappointing.

I was not Crazy for this at first. However my bottle is over a year old and it's been used regularly. It has developed a bit: now it's more distinctive - more of the "cotton candy" note. I have a nice big collection (too big if ya ask me) of BR540 clones and this one is stepping up to the front of the line. Zara discontinues RAPIDLY ; if you have any intentions of buying this - do it NOW. Or it will go for $100.00 a bottle in the future. My bottle is clear with a PINK cap so I don't know what's going on with all that.

Smell like cotton candy vape the hoodlums on my street huff and puff on. Would make it my signature if not for that connection

loving the mossy, leathery smell with some citrus in the background. i normally don't like the smell of leather but this smells unique, classy, expensive. great for nightouts, but i just wear it at home for no reason.

went to the Zara store looking for clothes and I kinda got drawn into the girls hounding the perfume shelves. so I was trying to smell golden decade (love it, lasts 4-5 hours on me) BUT THIS GIRL DIDN'T HAVE THE MANNERS TO SAY EXCUSE ME and just grabbed red temptation in front of me sprayed it on the test strip super close to my hand and I got the weirdest sniff ever. Red temptation is so strong. I described it as old lady from church who went to the dentists office. Sharp powdery and mossy notes. It's as if she smelled like those white flowers being sold by the church and squeezed all of its oils and doused herself with it as she sweated under the hot sun. Did not wipe off that sweat and marinated in it. Smells clinical. Cold. It's not sweet at all VERY REPULSIVE.

I bought this as a blind purchase including the elixir version, but unfortunately none of them worked. It honestly smelled like a diesel infused spray maybe with a slight reminiscence of something sweet and approachable. It was so heavy, sharp and overpowering. Straightforward and bold scents. I did try to unite myself with them, but had to give up and gave both of them away. I am totally dumbfounded that this actually works for some people and that it has gotten so much hype. But if they do, this lasts long and has quite a big projectivity. I would never recommend it though. In my opinion there is so many other, interesting perfumes out there I would not waste any more money on something like this.

Ambroxan bonanza, with some medicinal bitterness from the saffron and lightly sweetened by the orange and praline. Very much BR540, this is like the dry down captured in a bottle. Major sillage, lasts all day on skin and double on clothes.

if I could purge the Earth of one fragrance, it would be this one. It seems as though every woman in my city owns this perfume to the point where it has become synonymous with my morning commute. RT has a way of devouring every last molecule of oxygen on whatever mode of public transport you are trapped in and making you instantly feel travel sick. It has actually managed to make me miss the Sol de Janeiro epidemic of last year. Maybe I'm just being a player hater. I have begun to detest the real deal BR540 just by association with this dupe. Apologies to those who are a fan, but this is the smell of retail hell and it is suffocating.

Bought this on a whim because it was cheap. When I spray it the top notes immediately vanish and it smells like a synthetic, smoky musk. A bit spicy, a bit woody. For some reason, it makes my clothes smell like they've been pressed. So, sometimes I spray it on my neck when I'm wearing an airy satin shirt in summer. I don't think that's how it's meant to be used, but whatever.

this is honestly such a unique scent, and i mean that in the best way possible. its very warm and mossy but also a hint of leather or metal. its so unique to the point where im not even sure if im even able to pull it off. this is what i imagine a avant garde runway model would smell like, but again if youre not that you can still very much enjoy this perfume, unless youre boring that is.

Red Temptation smells like burned sugar or caramel with some woody and Smokey base( cigarettes smoke?) ..,some leather note?; I'm not sure but ....that's why I like it...bcz of the smokiness..It is sweet but deep in the same time! I bought a small bottle just to try it...if BR.. smells like this...then I like it! I have not tried BR yet!

This might be the most complex and interesting perfume from Zara. Definitely mossy and definitely earthy. Very deep and sweet, but not something I feel like I could pull off. Never smelled BR540 but I probably won't be buying if it's anything close to this 😂 it's kinda polarizing even within myself, I don't know if I like it or I don't but I wouldn't mind someone being close to me wearing this.

The best BR540 dupe in my opinion - amazing value for money! I don't feel the need to invest in the real thing now :)

so uh where… where is the perfume? I cant smell shit. It genuinely does not smell at ALL. I’ve heard that many people can’t smell Baccarat Rouge 540: I guess I can’t smell the dupe either! Picked it up just to know what the hype was about, knowing it’s not my cup of tea, was amused by the fact that there was nothing to sniff. Not a safe blind buy.

I don't know if I got a bad batch of this but I literally can't smell anything at all? I've tried both overspraying and only spraying it a few times on my clothes, since they tend to soak and hold onto fragrance a lot better, and I literally smell NOTHING lol. It did, however, leave stains on the shirt I sprayed it on today, so it's definitely *there*, I just can't smell it at all. Has anyone else experienced this with this fragrance?

Insulting to my nose. The second I open the bottle it’s an overwhelmingly bitter and sharp scent. From the top I only get BITTER orange and a bit of sharp spice, none of the warm praline or flowers, just overpowering moss and musk from the bottom. It’s synthetic and for me leans slightly masculine. Remeniscent of Ariana cloud for sure.
