Rabbit

Yummy, but surprisingly generic.. I really wanted to love Rabbit because the notes are literally how I would describe the essence of me! But unfortunately, I just get that same generic “perfume” smell that I seem to pick up in most fragrances. On my skin chemistry, I don't get any of the green, vegetal, or hay notes. The floral and deeper amber/musk notes are the main things that show up for me. I can recognize a sweetness underneath it, but something overwhelms the individual notes for me. It does not smell like carrot cake imo. Not really a gourmand for me. I never have liked traditional perfume to be fair, but LUSH perfumes got me into exploring more fragrances the past few years. I wanted to try Zoologist because people describe this house as very unique. It still smelt "generic" to my particular nose. Rabbit is not for me, but it was definitely worth trying! I tried it for a few days and my girlfriend kept saying it smelt like "old lady perfume". I resold my 10ml bottle because it was good enough, but I think I'd rather find something that is more interesting.

i love vanillas, but i hate "green" smells. putting them together like this, i had no idea what i was missing........ first spray, and it was almost nauseating. but as it dried ..i quicky FEEEEEELL IN LOVE. this perfume is so unique. its a patchouli but NOT a patchouli. im so confused every time i spray it, but i love it so bad, i cannot stop smelling myself like an animal.

Im sorry but I found this foul. It smells like a wet biscuit in a rabbit hutch. Just so cloying, so sickly, so gourmand in such a hyper realistic way. I actually find zoologist very inspiring and some of their other scents like bee and dragonfly are absolutely divine. However this one disgusts me I’m sorry. I think a lot of people force themselves to like this fragrance because it’s cottage core and cutesy and whimsical… but the truth is this is one of their less well done scents.

this is so cute! rabbit is one of the most popular zoologist scents and it lives up to the hype. it smells so cozy and warm. I love how it's a gourmand without being too vanilla or too bakery. I think it's a perfect balance of soft and sweet. I do wish it projected better, though

Its smells like dropping a slice of carrot cake into the grass in the countryside and picking it up to smell it right where it fell. The earthy green scent of fresh grass blends with the warm, spiced carrot cake, creating a surprisingly natural and comforting aroma.

Original mix of fougère and gourmand. Yes, first thing I got form this fragrance is its originality, it is a mix of two styles apparently incompatibles, fougère and gourmand, we have citrus in the opening plus green hay accord with some musks and earthy patchouli but also a fruity carrot cake spiced with cinnamon and vanilla sweetness in the base and... it works! It is so good and "new", it doesn't smell like anything I smelt before and it fits so well with the image of this cozy rabbit running in the hay fields with some flowers blooming here and there and then going back on its subterrain lair to cook the most delicious spiced carrot cake. Such a brilliant work from Fanny Bal, kudos. Trying to identify the materials I can pinpoint the bergamot, some cumarin for the hay-almond note, carrot seeds (ths is interesting because they are usually used for the iris accord, while here without any syntetic or iris absolute they take the center of the "cake-biscuit" accord and at the same time they contribute to build the violet accord togheter with probably some hedione and some galaxolide) and off course I can smell a "mild" patchouli that gives both the green feeling and the earthy facets. Overall this is a very cozy fragrance with great originality, you can take it as a sweet fougère or as a green gourmand if you want but in any case it remains very enjoyable, relaxing, beautifull. It's longevity is quite good, you get a lot going on for many hours until it lays down in a cozy vanilla-"furry" musk (I still dont' know how those musks from zoologist are always able to accord perfectly with the mood of the animal represented, plumy for the snowy own, furry here for the rabbit ecc... I'm pretty sure that they are built around galaxolide but still cannot figure how to complete the accord to give these wierd and original facets). Its projection is average, nothng bestial but well present around you, and it is so nice you can wear it whenever and wherever you want without offending anyone. Pricepoint is the usual zoologist and this time it is well deserved imo. It is not a fragrance I will use massively but from a perfumery point of view it is so good and original that I needed at least a 10ml. Worth at least sampling for everyone.

Smells just like an apple muesli. Probably because of the hay, cinnamon and apple notes. I like it, it's cozy and fun.

This scent really brought me back to my childhood when my grandmother used to make earl grey tea with milk (not sure why because the notes have nothing to do with tea), my friend also pointed out this smells like bubble milk mochi. This is incredibly comforting and warm. An amazing perfume for gourmand lovers. On my skin this performed relatively linear, there wasn't much development. The drydown was creamy and you could really feel the biscuit with a hint of hay. Not sure if I got any carrot from this, opening might have had a bit of apple.

the first few seconds seemed very promising - carrot cake with a faint fur note in the background. however, as this fragrance dries down, it becomes sickly sweet and insanely powdery. there's some carrot in the drydown, but it's not strong enough to balance out the sweetness. i can't smell any apple notes either. i don't see myself wearing this any time soon, but i understand why some people like it. it's a true gourmand, especially at the beginning.

Wow this smells so good. The apple feels correct here, which it didn't fit with Cow imo. I'm getting carrot juice, just a tad sweet. The cinnamon is just the perfect amount. I typically hate cinnamon scents but this is lovely. It smells warm and fresh at the same time.

The opening was straight up carrot cake. The cinnamon mixed with the carrot/apple, along with the vanilla/biscuit base, comes together beautifully. Amazing. Eventually it turns buttery as the biscuit note shines through. There is also a slight greenness and earthiness from the hay. A super unique gourmand, perfect for Spring/Fall.

This fragrance is hard for me to describe because I’m getting several images simultaneously, and it’s leaving me confused. For starters, I get literal rabbit here and metaphorical. Regarding the former, I get this sweet bunny fur accord with a bit of a dirty hutch or used bedding. In terms of the latter, I feel theres a strong cottage core element, with candied hay, cold sprinkled cinnamon, and a carrot biscuit (so both vegetal… and sugary). But unfortunately, somewhere along the line, this kinda just became… nauseating and messy. I can see the image, but I think it was too ambitious and should have been edited down, or taken down one specific path rather than trying to do both. Too many ideas and notes and accords just weakened the overall composition. In the end, it’s got this nauseating quality because there are synthetic, chemical tones. These facets are a little like… artificial sweetener, and maybe a touch of dusty plastic. Sadly, this was a scrubber. I was just overloaded with synthetic AND atmospheric friction.

I was so excited to try this. After reading a lot of online discussion, I thought I had a decent idea of what Rabbit would smell like and figured I would like it. To my surprise, Rabbit smells even better than what I imagined. From the first spray I was hooked. I get fresh fields, apple pie, and cinnamon. It also reminds me of autumn and vanilla candles. It’s decadent and pretty. I also really like the balance between nature and food. The hay / grass / violet notes keep it from being a pure gourmand smell and give it more of an outdoorsy feel. It’s a little fresh, a little spicy, a little sweet, and a lotta cozy. If I had to describe this perfume in one word I’d use magical. I love the cinnamon, vanilla, and hay in the dry down and I probably look like a crazy person with how much I sniff myself wearing this perfume. Fair warning: Rabbit is crazy strong. The first time I tried it I used three sprays thinking it would be airy and light. For the next few hours i was in a delicious but also overpowering cloud of Rabbit. It was almost too much. A lighter hand is recommended. Anyways I’m probably gonna order a full bottle of this, I love it so much.

If you like this scent but found something inside sickly or cloying try Guerlain Eau de Lit. Its about 60-70% similar. It has to be the musk and cinnamon. Also, if you like this scent but as a room spray or aroma try Melatonin spray by Dr Teals. Or the bath soak. Now those 2 are almost interchangeable! Someone else mentioned it on here and I had to see for myself. Knowing people here talk and usually it's wrong info. That call out was very similar for once.

A very cozy warm biscuit smell with a hint of hay and rabbit fur but very pleasant.

Very feminine, dry biscuit smell, sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. Almond is usually a hit or miss for me and unfortunately for this fragrance it was a miss.. it smelled very cloying on my skin (to me). Rabbit definitely isn't my cup of tea but despite this, I know a lot of people in the perfume hobby sphere claim they get "chased down" to get complimented (which is obviously bs) but i actually DID get complimented on this perfume twice in one day wearing this, which was very surprising since that never happens to me.

Absolutely hated it on my first sniff. Smelled like rabbit's fur mixed with hay and something sweet, and not in a good way. As someone who used to have a rabbit as a pet, I have to say that the smell was pretty accurate, but also way more nauseating than the real thing. My mom instantly said "rabbit poop" upon smelling. I forced myself to use up the 2ml sample I got, and somehow managed to get over the nausea. Even got a little bit of cake/pastry notes others have described. Never ended up liking it though. Would I ever get this again? HELL NO.

I do like this one! One of the more wearable zoologist smells. Slightly disappointing in the sense that I had imagined a lighter, greener, spring fragrance. In reality, it is a sugary smell (synthetic almost?). My complaint for this is the same as harvest mouse, the strong vanilla takes over and creates a very one note fragrance.

It's spring fading into summer. You have all of the windows open in your house. Your kitchen-aid is running full blast. You've made a mess of what was supposed to be a carrot cake and it's all over your counter. You give up, climb into the bowl of your stand mixer and envelope yourself into the sweet concoction of sweet batter and fall asleep. You dream you're laying in a bed of clover in a very quiet meadow. This is a sleepy and sweet gourmand, starting relatively green but takes no time burying you into its deliciously biscuity embrace. Dries down into a lovely almost yeasty cinnamon. This is incredibly wearable for anyone that wants to smell like the field they host British baking show on. True to its name and its notes, absolute cinema.

When i first got this i didn't care for it too much but I let it sit for a few months and I like it a lot more now. (might also be because it's spring time and not winter anymore where i live) it's a nice scent that reminds me of farmers markets and hay fields. Its What i picture my stardew valley farmer to smell like 😆

Yep. Smells like you rolled around the lawn in the springtime then shoved a bunch of digestive biscuits in your mouth. Like an old storybook. Pretty awesome.

This is a nice fragrance and I’ve been wanting to try it for a while. Smells like a healthier carrot cake. The carrot and almond threads are distinct. My problem is that I feel like the carrot accord leans too savory and makes it smell like straight up food. It’s also surprisingly strong. I couldn’t escape the smell at my desk.

Wonderful sweet Gourmand. Delicious, sweet and addicting. If you are into the sweeter scents, you will probably love this one. Keep wanting to smell the bottle I have. 9.5/10

It’s really unfortunate what a synthetic gourmand bomb this is. If it had just a little more restraint in the sweet department, it could be great. But instead of feeling ethereal and magical — something out of a fairytale — it feels dense and cloying, like something out of a snack cake factory. It hits me right sometimes (and probably works okay an arm’s length away), but much like the biscuit note in Tonka Extraordinaire, I find its gourmand facets REVOLTING, literally sickly sweet. It’s too bad because when the greener and fresher bits peek through it sings! Have yet to try it on my skin, which I am worried about, because it usually pulls VERY sweet.

The most complex, angelic scent of all time. I am absolutely in shock. It feels like I’m actually smelling a bunny’s tummy or head, but in the best way possible. It’s sweet and rich due to the cinnamon, but also extremely fresh and green, due to the apple, carrot, green leaves and hay. The dry down is so biscuity and soft. It’s a story in a bottle. Genuinely makes me so happy and tearful at the same time.

You have to give this one a chance. Try multiple wearings before ranking rabbit. Do not smell this one time, you might think you hate it if you do. I thought this was bad at first, it’s not, has just the right amount of sweetness, enough to project well off your skin. The grass, green leaves 🍃 with hay, Patchouli, Vanilla, cake 🎂 🍰 🧁 Bergamot, apple 🍎, violet and musk are blended well, definitely a good release, haven’t smelled everything yet, this one my favorite so far. Great choice for sweet gourmand lovers. 9.9/10 Long lasting, addictive, unique, complex, great smell.

Okay this one is veryyy cute. I definitely think it’s sweeter and less subtle than Harvest Mouse, more of a gourmand for sure, but they do feel like they live in a similar little storybook field gourmand family. Right away, I get bergamot and greenery. The opening is very green to me, but not in a harsh way. It smells like fresh stems, grass, hay, that kind of thing. But even through the green top, I can already smell the sweeter parts underneath. There’s this biscuity vanilla accord, a little almond, a little carrot, and it gives the scent this soft sweetness that I really enjoy. As it develops, it gets richer and more gourmand. I wouldn’t say it's a straight up bakery, but it definitely starts giving me carrot cake vibes. Like carrot cake with cream cheese icing, but still sitting in a green meadow. It’s not just sugary cake. There’s still hay, patchouli, and greenery grounding it, so it doesn’t become too literal or heavy. I get the patchouli in the background, but it doesn’t smell dirty or overly earthy. It kind of rounds out the green notes and makes everything feel more grounded. I also think I can smell some amber as it dries down, giving it warmth and richness. The sweetness becomes more and more noticeable over time. I don’t really smell obvious florals, which is a plus for me, they’re just somewhere in the background structure I personally cant detect. This is more green, sweet, biscuity, carrot-y, hay-like, and warm than floral. Extremely wearable, very warm and cozy.

Unique gourmand. Lasts a long time on my skin. Smells good, has a fairly complex note pyramid breakdown of notes. There is a delicious mint accord, paired with the sweetness & patchouli, and cake, it's incredible. Didn't like this one at first, loving it now. The bergamot and green leaves, white almond and hay note with jasmine really help balance out the fragrance. My rating could increase, but for now it’s a solid release from Zoologist in my opinion. You might have to let your nose adapt to this one to really appreciate the blend of beautiful notes inside that mix together so well. Was very skeptical at first, almost thought about trading away this awesome creation, but I'm very glad I didn't. I can smell the potent sweetness with the Patchouli, with the flowers and green leaves and hay, absolutely divine to smell this one. This one is definitely a grow on your scent potentially. At least it was for me. 10/10 No doubt in my mind This one is perfect Zoologist, Great Job, Don't Change Anything with this DNA, Maybe a flanker, but do not change this formula, I beg you.
