Let it sit for a couple months after initial sprays and it becomes a fantastic alternative to Dama Bianca. It has that same vaguely berry, candied violet/iris, citrus, lotion-y, vanilla vibe of the original. As the bottle sits it perhaps becomes a bit more powdery and a bit sweeter than what it’s duping. The performance is passable. It’s not much of a projector, but it does last a good amount of time. As much as I do love this, I gotta agree with folks who are saying the atomizer sucks.
Does anyone smell the most luxurious writing ink when they smell this? Powdered vanilla and soft white florals dipped in a bit of ink. Lovely to me
when i bought this scent, i was very new to the perfume universe. i discovered this through people on tiktok calling it ethereal, fairy-like, angel-like etc, so i was immediately so hooked and blind-ordered it within 2 months of discovering it! when i first tried it i was quite disappointed because my idea of fairy or ethereal wasn’t anything like this. it smells kinda grown (i was nearly 20 at the time), a bit powdery and so on. however, since letting it sit a bit on my desk i’ve returned to it. a year later, i have started to really enjoy her and have been spraying myself with her many times this summer. so this one definitely grew on me! for reference, my taste is always creamy, airy white florals and vanilla! i didn’t know this when i first purchased her. but it’s incredible how your nose can change opinion so drastically in less than a year! ♡
This one surprised me. I have never tried the inspiration for Junoon Noir so cannot speak for that. But this one started out pretty loud and I almost scrubbed it right off. But now, 10 minutes later, it is a light, beautiful powdery floral. Once the fruit dried off, I really enjoyed this one.
I love it so much. It’s a linear fragrance that’s very powdery. On me I smell the violet, vanilla and kumquat (I think that’s what it is because I can’t place the smell). There’s a slight inky quality to my nose that comes from the violet but I like it. It lasts a full day on clothes but only 3 hours on skin. Very light projection. I touch up during the day once it’s starts fading.
Pretty but smells a lot like the Watermelon Sour Patch to me, likely due to the strong lime note. Not getting violet or vanilla yet but I'll give it some time for that hopefully. Atomizer is atrocious.
This may very well be my number 1 favorite perfume that I own and I own quite a few. But you may need to let it macerate because at first I wasnt a big fan. Once it fully comes together though, its such a soft vanilla fragrance. Theres this fruity hint to it which I imagine is the kumquat. Its not tropical or heavy on the fruit though its mainly this very lightly lotiony (its what makes this perfume elegant in my personal opinion), lightly fruity, citrusy and this very realistic vanilla (not vanilla in an edible way, this isnt gourmand). This perfume can literally be worn anytime, any season and anywhere. I even like to put it on before bed sometimes because its comforting while being elegant. Its not screaming for attention, definitely not beast mode. It does linger though and has good sillage. Its just quite and confident. ❤️
This smells "smudge-y" . I have had it for a while and it just smells like a confusing mess. Do not blind buy.
This is my absolute favorite blind buy of all time! Smells and lasts like it should be at a much higher price point than it is. Violet is very much the star of this show, and she performs beautifully and plays nicely with the cedar and musk in the base, especially on warmer autumn days.
This is a really beautiful fragrance, and on my skin, it performs quite differently depending on the weather! In colder months, it comes across as more powdery, with prominent kumquat and citrus notes in the opening before settling into a soft, powdery violet. In warmer weather, it truly sings. The heat seems to melt the bright top notes into the violet, creating a smoother, more seamless blend that feels less powdery and more sweet candied. When it blooms in the warmth, it's absolutely gorgeous. The violet remains bright and airy, but takes on an almost ethereal quality before gradually melting into a soft, comforting vanilla base. Wowee, this stage is what made me fall in love with the fragrance! I see this as a perfect summer wedding day fragrance for an angelic bride. Performance is excellent for me in cooler weather and I get a full day of wear with no touch up needed. In summer, it fades slightly quicker, but I don't mind for a scent profile so dreamy. Easily one of my top 5 fragrances for life!! (I can't comment on any similarities to Dama Bianca, as I've never smelled it.)
I don't really see why this is hyped so much. I find it synthetic, linear, bit screetchy and sometimes nauseating. The atomizer is another thing - It's a squirt and not a spray. But .. it's a longlasting scent and that's the main positive point.
I was really looking forward to receiving this, and while it's nice enough straight out of the box, it's disappointingly similar to M. Micallef's Mon Parfum Pearl, which I already own. Still, sillage and longevity good, so will wait and see what happens after maceration.
I finally got this after hearing about it for four years!! 🤦♀️ I love it! I guess when peoples said powdery? I worried ? but it’s not like THAT kind of powder. It’s ethereal ! NO baby powder vibes! It’s truly an airy simple sweet fairy like candy violet. I love it! by buying JN, I know I will definitely get the OG at some point! Perfect for spring fall days! But not for too hot or humid… happy blind buy! My only disappointment? It’s so dang weak!! Ugh so I’ve heard both are weak…reminds me of my love for Cloud. Both are soo lovely, and I can’t smell them and I don’t think I’m anosmic as I don’t think anyone else smells is ehh there has got to be some kind of dope for Dama Bianca and this one that I can smell!?
I just deleted my original positive review. This is awful .. I have been living with it for a while and .. it went to "the back of the shelf" . Physically and mentally . This is very thick and STUFFY . It's also too familiar if you know Arab clone houses. (down) GRADE: C minus minus. Boring + Familiar + Stuffy = Do Not Blind Buy ! After this - I am going back on my "no buy".
This a good perfume day , with , finally, warmer weather...Junoon Noir really shined. She's taken her time to show me herself. Read below at Fragrance Enthusiasts comment. Very accurate to my nose. Unfortunately all negative comments here are either due to an unripened bottle, different chemistry, or something else. This my dear friends is a scrumptious candied violet! I used to own Guerlain Insolence...that is a lovely violet...but not quite to my liking. These Middle Eastern perfumes really know how to create a Decadent perfume, so rich and without all that dreaded denatured alcohol. So I think this perfume is for any violet enthusiast, or floramand lover. That sugary violet is to die for!
After my bottle of Dama Bianca came and went - I knew I needed an alternative. This is 95% close, ommiting that lime heaviness that comes with the inspiration, and adding a slight oriental dry down. As a guy, not many can get away with this fragrance but it really does turn heads and get the nose working. Lasts a good while too - drying down into a creamy, almost Asian vanilla orange. Can't wait to check out this line!
It smells like a magical soap bar, I don't know if in a good way or a bad way yet. The scent itself is really good, balanced, sweet but not cloying. It is a good perfume that's for sure, I don't know if it's really my thing but this is a matter of personal taste.
حلو كعطر يومي ناعم وانثوي، اظنه يناسب الايام البارده اكثر او بالربيع.
I love this one! Could wear it every day. Packaging is sleek, but the black is a little misleading. The sprayer is shite. Longevity is good.
I can't smell any violet, just a dusty powdery vanilla with a citrusy fruit that sits close on the skin. Not exciting to wear, it's a kinda boring vintagey fragrance.
i love dama bianca but my wallet does not. so i already knew i would love the scent profile but i wanted to see how close junoon noir came to it. it's spot on !! the only difference i can find is that dama bianca is a little more heavy and junoon noir is a little lighter. which i don't mind, i actually prefer it as the weather is getting warmer. i've sprayed a decent amount wearing it and it didn't cloy which is good. the longevity is moderate, lasts a little longer than DB on me but nothing crazy. i saw a lot of people disliking the bottle but i'm not sure why. the bottle seems good quality, the atomizer is kind of direct but i kind of prefer that so i'm not getting a taste of my frag while spraying my neck. but i can see why not everyone would agree. all in all, a purchase i don't regret and can't wait to wear all the time !!! will update in the future if it gets creamier like others have said :)
I hate to be very critical, but I must say I have diverse tastes in fragrance and a very large collection and this is one of my most disappointing blind buys ever. All I get is an overwhelming lime. The lime is so intense it makes my eyes water. The entire fragrance journey is lime in the opening and lime in the dry down with absolutely no other notes. It is as if your entire body has been doused in lime juice from only one spray of this perfume. It is a complete scrubber however it is beast mode and will not scrub off. I have now had my bottle for about 5 months and it has not changed at all, I’ve concluded it isn’t going to change. Perhaps there is something wrong with the bottle I received as this is honestly garbage. I like lime but if I ever smell this again it might ruin lime for me. I’m pretty surprised by the fact that no one else seems to be having this experience with this fragrance.
Sisters with Fayora by Paris Corner, this Junoon Noir is the 'darker', deeper gourmand version. I feel like it's the violet note that gives it that darker side. Compared to Fayora which has a passionfruit note, the Junoon Noir fragrance gives me a more robust gourmand with a milky note, plus almost a chocolatey-note as well. I feel it could lean more unisex than Fayora, but still easily and absolutely adored by females! If I were wanting a sweet, smooth gourmand fragrance to even out my collection - this would be it!
This perfume is so dainty! I have my bottle for a year now, and it's a bit creamier than when I initially got it. I don't get to wear it often though. I feel like I should wear it when I'm attending a wedding or something. It gives off wedding vibes to me. Comparing it to Dama Bianca, Junoon Noir's more creamy, while Dama Bianca's more citrusy on my nose. Both are great imo.
the opening of this fragrance is quite sour for my taste but the vanilla already shines through. also, it is very reminiscent of cheirosa '40. i've never smelled dama bianca but i trust the many noses that say they're similar. it is linearly vanilla, citrus, violet, cedar in that order on my skin. very cozy, intimate, classy. although i barely get any of a powdery accord on my skin, i still find it airy in a sense. pretty safe for all seasons and good potential for a signature scent. while it was a successful blind buy for me, i would not say to blind buy unless you have experience with '40 or dama bianca.
Right out of the box, I get this beautiful candied violets. It’s perfect for a chilly spring day. It’s airy, sweet, and long lasting. The packaging is really nice. The box it comes in has a bed that conforms to it perfectly for it to travel and ship to me safely. The bottle is black so it’s protected from light, and the atomizer is nice. Kind of reminds me of smarties and flowers like a Valentine’s Day kind of scent. I could see it being a signature kind of scent.
I dont know .. kinda boring :/
They need to change the presentation, though. This bottle is so bad 😅
The perfect alternative to Dama Bianca, its ingredients include: light and hope, innocence and violet, dreams and vanilla.
I usually don’t like very powdery fragrances, but this one is delicious! Fluffy, sweet and comforting. I have nothing like it in my collection.
