Chrome Pure

A fresh and creamy blend of citrus and woody notes on top of tonka and a light and airy musk. As it dries down you can pick out the orange blossom and subtle green tea notes. It definitely has a kind of sunscreen/tropical feel to it, but I've found that the fragrance works better in slightly cooler weather. The performance is ok. Very good value for money. Overall I like it, but I don't know how often I would pick it over the other freshies that I own or have decants of. If you typically dislike aquatic fragrances then you might want to give this one a try.

This is an excellent twist on the og. The opening is very bright, fresh and a bit spicy . When it drys down it becomes sweet, creamy and smells like the most expensive sunscreen ever. Very versatile and gives your clothes a nice creamy vibe after a few days. It last about 8-9 hours on my skin and projects decently but nothing crazy. Might be a little too strong for summer time. Yall should buy it 100% 9/10

My nose perceives this much differently than everyone. I get the citrus, but it’s like a creamy, spicy citrus. This is a cold weather/fall fragrance to me.

A well balanced clean fragrance, it gives a fresh laundry vibe, not a blind buy imo, doesnt last that long, 6/10.

For those of you who find many citruses and aquatics a bit played out or done to death, I would endorse you to try this one out, you may be pleasantly surprised. After the initial fresh citrus blast, it turns to a lovely masculine powdery scent that's most suited for casual occasions during the day. A great addition to the Chrome line overall, different from the original and I guess more modern since the powdery effect gives it a more popular character. It’s too bad that this flanker has been long discontinued now. There are improvements and profundity in the composition. Its performance gives me an overall above average wearing experience - with strong projection for the first 2 to 3 hours, and a better-than-average longevity of 8 hours on my skin. Which is pretty good for a fresh/warm weather edt concentration. Pure also brings some new ideas to the Chrome line, particularly the heart accord of Akigala and Pepper woods, which stick around for most of its life. I don't see why people would think of this as generic because it is pretty unique. Ignore the hate, try to keep an open mind to this and give it a try because you might like it as much as I do. I was able to pick up a 50ml bottle online (Fragrance Shop) for $30 several years back. I haven't checked lately what the prices are looking like, but I'm sure there are still unsold bottles floating around on some discounter sites.

It’s an instant mood-booster that smells clean, sun-kissed, and incredibly cozy at the same time. Unfortunately, Azzaro has discontinued this gem. Anyone who managed to snag a bottle (especially as a second-hand find, like I did 😎) knows it’s a true treasure. On my skin, the longevity was outstanding: I applied it around 2 PM, and by nighttime, the fragrance was still going strong. The next morning, it was still there—closer to the skin, but definitely noticeable. The projection was moderate for the first hour and a half, leaving a subtle, pleasant trail without being intrusive. It’s a highly versatile daily driver that fits perfectly into your routine, whether for work, college, the gym, or a casual summer night out. 📊 Quick Summary Longevity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Amazing lasting power, easily survives until the next day) Projection: ⭐⭐⭐ (Moderate, smooth scent trail for 1.5h) Vibe: 🏖️ Clean, creamy, and coastal (Discontinued treasure)

My favorite in the Chrome line. Has a creaminess to it that I personally think works well with the Chrome DNA. Even with that creaminess, it’s still a fresh scent. Really nice. If you can find it and love freshies - it’s worth a look.

My friend wears this and it surrounds him like a cloud. It seems to last forever on him. It's very fresh, like a male version of Valaya.

Best Chrome flanker. Dares to be different, steers a bit away from the original DNA, has a nice sweet creamy dry down, it's pleasant, versatile, doesn't smell cheap, above it all, this is immensely nostalgic, one of the better bang for buck scents out there.

I got a sample of this when it first came out. The opening wasn't anything that I really liked (mostly citrus), but the drydown was amazing. Idk what it was but it was very unique and made me want to buy a bottle just for the drydown. I ended up buying a tester online and for whatever reason the tester I received didn't have that unique and addicting drydown I got from the sample. I eventually traded the discontinued bottle but whatever was in the original sample I got was amazing. 4/10 for the tester 9/10 for the dry down that I experienced with the original sample I got

Chrome Pure is a good flanker for guys who want to smell fresh and tropical and put together without being too loud or overwhelming. It’s great for spring and summer, for work, casual hangouts, or even a low key date. Super easy to wear, and honestly kind of underrated for the quality it delivers. it has good performance too 8.2/10 I would buy again.

this cologne is really powdery and kinda flowery too. might be too much for some people, but i think it’s just enough, not too over the top. i don’t wear it a lot though, just feels like it doesn’t fit me. still a nice scent. 7/10

Continuing my re-reviews of “scents I bought a long time ago and haven’t worn” When I think of azzaro, generally I think of cheap scents that are routinely on the shelves of tj maxx, Marshall’s, etc. While that may be true, if I saw this one, I’d for sure buy it. It’s a soft, watery, musky, sunscreeny scent that is generally very pleasing. Obviously expectations should be tempered to a certain extent - throw “natural” smelling out the window - but if you need a scent to throw in a backpack or something that smells great that you don’t concern yourself about the level of the juice in the bottle, this could very well be it. Not sure what I said in the past, but I find this enjoyable now and will definitely pull for this over the summer.

Good smelling fragrance for summer but doesn't last long

Smells just like Jack of Clubs. Meh. I fucked up blind buying it. Not cuz it's bad. A little fem maybe. But it smells like frags I already have

my only blind buy gone horribly wrong. smells like some kind of sunscreen like reviews are saying, doesnt even smell like a cologne tbh idk what this is. smells mediocre at best from atomizer and worse on my skin i had to wash it off after trying to convince myself it was okay. on the verge of giving me a headache, also awful bottle

Love this fragrance - I find it unique. Citrusy peppery and aquatic - I own Chrome Extreme and the OG. Pure is my favourite. Affordable and Versatile - strongly recommend.

A surprisingly elegant and affordable fragrance. This is a bright, citrusy delight with a luxurious, creamy base. It's incredibly versatile, while also being unisex as well. Comparing it to sunscreen is a disservice; it's far more radiant and sensual. This will be a summer staple for me. Update: I need to mention that the dry down is a bit disappointing, now that it’s been macerating for the last couple months. Far too peppery, and loses the beauty of the top notes.

Beautiful fragrance. Does NOT smell like sunscreen to me at all. The opening is pretty nice, I smell mangoes, tropical fruits and citrus. I wish the opening lasted longer. When it dries, it smells like hay, tobacco, grass, wood, really masculine. Got it for 27$

This is kinda meh and smells like sunscreen, but it’s an excellent restroom/room spray that only cost me $30 for 100ml so it’s great to use after a good ole sheeit lol

Opening smells like home brand shampoo, kinda cheeks. Dry down smells like a less sweet and dense le beau with some earthy nuances underneath. No complaints for what I payed I guess.

"Happiness is just around the corner" - this is the slogan of this perfume on the official website. And it suits its essence very well, as does the white matte bottle. This is a clean, moderate scent of sweet tonka beans, water notes and mate tea. For me, as for many, the aroma smells primarily of coconut. It's strange, although there is no coconut here, some combination of notes gives this smell. Stands out from the Chrome line. Least similar to all the other flankers. I like it very much.

I just couldn't get. Blind bought it because of a good deal. How good a fragrance is subjective. But I just couldn't get it. Smells like tanning lotion.

I don't get this. I don't see coconut on the breakdown but somehow it smells a lot like tanning lotion with that coconut you smell at the beach. It has more to it then that but that's what I get when I first spray it. I wouldn't buy it again , it's just too much like coconut rum & tanning lotion at first for me to like .

Long lasting and strong projection on my skin. On the other hand, very sharp and synthetic smell (after 15min on skin) for my nose. I think it is cedar note that I do not like how it is blended here, not sure. It is not blind buy safe..

I first tried this fragrance not knowing what it is - I just sprayed a sample that I got in Sephora all over me... And I got intrigued straight away. 😯 Such a soft musky cuddly scent. I thought it must be something upper scale, maybe some 1990s classic? What was my surprised when I checked the sample and it was one of Azzaro's Chrome. I am not a big fan of "refreshing" summer citrus fragrances, I like heavier amber, oud, musk and spices perfumes but this one really got me. ❤️ It is very sophisticated, classy and conservative. Simultaneously I find it quite unisex, I think girls could rock it as well as guys. ✨ In my mind it awakes visions of spring aura at Place Vendôme, white interiors of rooms in l'Hôtel Crillon and summer evenings in Hamptons. It really is much better scent then brand and price would indicate. 🥰 It's sweet, open nicely in warm weather, I do not feel much of the citrons, but there is some orange blossom mist and definitely tonka. I can smell coconut - something like JPG Le Beau. But musk - musk play the first violin in this concerto. I disagree with all comparisons to "fresh linen" "sun lotion" or "cleaner". 🙄 The musk is s must! 😁 The fragrance makes me feel similar to old Givenchy's Pi or old Dior Pour Homme (or Dior Pour Homme Original - as we call it these days). Sure, it is not the same level of olfactory craftsmanship but just to give you a hint of the vibe. 😁 What I like is impressive sillage and durability. With 5 sprays it goes for hours and on clothes I can feel it few days after. This is a value that I always appreciate in fragrances. In the end - if you like musk, and you look for something that have character but is not cloying during summer and heat - give it a try. 👍🏻

Not a fan of clean/creamy fragrances, but this is amazing for me. This is the smell of white color. So chilling, relaxing, clean, elegant and unique. A summer alternative for classic sshower gel or aquatic men fragrances. Very different from everything else from Chrome line.

The opening is a bit harsh and very cleaner-like, but once it dried down, it definitely gains some fresh and sweet smelling legs. I initially disliked this quite a bit, but after letting it sit for a few weeks with some air in the bottle, it's made a complete turnaround for me. The tonka gives it a nice sweet base and I'm finally starting to see why others have mentioned "coconut" in their descriptions. It's not quite the kind of coconut I've been searching for, but I think it'll work out great as an after shower, or after pool spray. The performance is as middle of the road as it gets. It's not strong, but doesn't fade away within a couple hours either. Sillage is OK if you're spraying in the right places to create that scent trail. Overall, I do kinda dig it. I certainly like it quite a bit more than when I had first picked it up. For the price, it's a good deal.

Vile. This is just vile. Imagine a classic men's cologne with coconut. I was hoping for a nice tropical scent for summer but this is just Azzaro Coconut. Even if it smelled like suntan lotion or a pina colada I would have liked it but it doesn't. Rating 2/10
