London for Men

In the past I had the 3.4 Oz black cap version of Burberry London for men and it was very sweet spicy and lasted a good deal of time. I decided to re-up on it since I ran out and the version I received has a silver cap. It smells very different. It still has a spiciness to it but it's much lighter and fresher and not as sweet. I'm bummed because it also lasts a hell of a lot less time and projects less too. If you buy Burberry London for men and you loved the vintage formulation they used to have, I do not recommend buying the reformulated bottles with the silver cap. Even though it's relatively cheap it was also relatively disappointing to see that they've changed to a lighter and fresher version of what used to be Christmas in a bottle.

A Little fresh and spicy, smooth tobacco, smooth cinnamon, rich hint of lavender and bergamot. Great gentle and sophisticated scent, Great job Antoine Maisondieu. 👌

I have been wearing this fragrance since 2008, so for me this review covers 18 years of experience with this scent. It is surprisingly mild and unassuming, making it something I can wear without worrying. This makes it a keeper, something to go back to time and time again. The main notes i've always gotten from this fragrance after 30+ minutes of applying it: black pepper, leather, cinnamon and dry tobacco leaves. On my skin, it is not sweet at all. It is mostly a dry black pepper aroma and an oldstyle leather aura around me. It is incredibly warm and welcoming. At no point it is overpowering or causing headaches. The notes are very natural. It is definitely best as a winter fragrance. It is compatible with cold weather, even snowy or almost arctic environments. Positives: contrary to popular opinion, this is actually quite long-lived on the skin. It leaves a subtle earthy tone for the whole day. But if you are a perfume afficionado, you might disappoint that the base notes are not strong enough. After a couple of hours, it creates a noticeable aura, but it doesn't smell like you are wearing a fragrance. Downsides: it appears to perform in a different way on different skins or different times. Some days the cinnamon is more noticeable, and the aroma resembles a sweet cinnamon roll. On other days, the black pepper is dominant. How to wear it: on clothes and wrists. This fragrance will stay for several days on clothes.

The scent of London, lavender and smells like a field full of flowers in England.

When snow hits the ground, you know its time to bust out Burberry London. The light cinnamon and wood notes sit just under the sweetness of the citrus. It is no joke how much this fragrance reminds me of Christmas. A comforting and joyful scent. Longevity is good, usually in the ballpark of 6-8 hours. In my opinion, the projection is above average, and not too overbearing with the spices. Longevity: 8/10 - Projection: 7/10 - Overall: 7.5/10

Just smell a Christmas tree, thats exactly what this smells like.

I love this scent, the opening is great the flower-citrus mixes surprisinlgy well with the other notes, that was one of my concerns but they aced it! It ages into a super soothing tabacco oriental mix great price. As for complaints the silliage is weak it lasts a good while but i wouldnt reccomend it as a daily or date fragrance though it can work for dates there is better options,overall great price good winter/fall frgarance.

As I had a small bottle shipped (at a decent price), I read a review here that warned young people that this scent smelled old. I am here to second that opinion. I love cinnamon, I love Christmas, but this cologne smells like cinnamon/anise flavored licorice with a base of dust from your grandparents attic. It's not the worst thing I've ever smelled, but if I wore this anywhere I think I'd be laughed at. Gift it to your dads

Someone said this smells like guess seductive noir…. Absolutely NOT! 🙂↔️ I had a chuckle with that one girl!! no this is 100% man during Christmas chopping down the Christmas tree and bringing it home and putting it up while I’m burning a spicy woody candle and he’s smoking a pipe!! roar!! meow🦁 It’s all the smells of Christmas 🎄 hot *to gal below GSN?? Is basically Mon Guerlain but make it cheaper… lavender vanilla.. the lavender in this BL? Is more of a introducing partner brief appearance makes it pop and then the spices take over whereas in guess seductive noir, it’s initially lavender then I believe some Iris or Oris and it gets deeper and more velvety it’s just totally different vibe! I will agree? Both are sexy!! And they would go Great on a date night if the girls wearing that and the dude is wearing BL!? Niiice mix!! oh shoot now I need to layer that!!! 🏃♀️ I have them both and I don’t think I can wait till winter to try that! Ha cool I’m not making fun of the cute girl below who said than she seems very nice! 😊 but I had a little chuckle when she said that I’m like girl no you don’t smell that!? but maybe she does anyway Burberry London is amazing and it’s definitely a manly man a London manly man… scent do I wear it??? OH F YEA!!! I am a sucker for cinnamon and spice and anything nice I wish I had a man to give this too!!! 😢 but men suck and I’m deconstructing and decentralizing men atm 💁♀️ so I’ll wear it instead… ha

This fragrance is so good! Masculine tobacco with cinnamon but with a nice sweetness to it. Smells like you are walking through early 1920’s London during Christmas time. Very nostalgic scent and absolutely my go to for the holiday times. Subtle but very addictive

a classy tobacco fragrance at a great price. You can pick up a 100ml bottle for around $60. I enjoy layering it with Red Tobacco, as it adds more depth and makes the overall scent even more interesting

I love this - on my husband. Every now and then I'll spray it on myself, hoping for it to smell as good on me, but it never does. On me it stays quite sharp and doesn't mellow into those deeper warm tones. To me it's kind of similar to Guess Seductive Noir, which gives me the same warm deep spices smell, so I wear that instead when I want to matchy match my husband. We discovered London together and it's now his signature scent, and his last name is London, so it just feels right!

Weak but delightful!

Masterpiece. Relegating this classic to simply a winter or Christmas scent is a crying shame.

This scent gives me Pacific Northwest log cabin vibes. It's inoffensive and actually quite wearable in the summertime as well since it's not a heavy fragrance. I wore it today and though it doesn't have the strongest projection, I would say it became a skin scent at around the 6 hour mark. I think it's such a confident feel good kinda scent that's office safe!

Smells like ginger snaps. Every time I go to Walmart, I have to apply the tester to myself. It's quite nice.

I dunno about current batches. But, I’ve got two bottles from 2018 & 2019 and they both last well over 8 hours. At no point is it projecting strong. But it does last and it does smell like a gentleman. It does bring nostalgia, since it was my signature scent in my 20’s, but I don’t get the Xmas vibe

My fiance wore this when I first met him. He has quite a few fragrances in his collection now but I still say that this is my favourite. It’s warm, cozy, effortless.

Nearly completed my second 100ml bottle of London. I’ve had London a long time. Can’t believe I haven’t provided my input on this superb fragrance. I wear it fall and winter in mild Mojave desert climate. So it’s a little cold but not bone Chilling cold where I live. Nearly a compliment almost every time I wear London. Product value is through the roof with this one. Spend a little and you have an alluring spice, cinnamon, fall and winter time fragrance that doesn’t cut corners on quality. Moderate projection. Think deep evocative joyful memories of fall and winter occasions embedded in this fragrance. Price=excellent. Scent= top shelf and original in contrast to say scents like stronger with you/azzaro wanted lines. I will always have London in my collection!

My ex wore tha long time ago. One of the first guys I knew who wore a scent. It made me crazy. I still smell it at the mall and get weird.

Burberry London smell like Christmas. It's that simple. Does it smell exactly like a Christmas church service? No. A photorealistic tree? No. Christmas cookies? No. Burberry London smells how Christmas feels and smells, warm, cozy, safe, slightly sweet, very lightly spicy, and woody. I bought a new bottle with the chrome cap and clear bottle. I unfortunately must report that there has certainly been a reformulation. The scent DNA is nearly identical in air, on paper and on skin so that is a huge positive. Although what used to a great performing fragrance is now simply average, in my opinion. I disagree with the reviews that say the new formulation is weak but I will agree that performance has decreased. I believe this is due to recent regulations regarding the use and dosage of oakmoss in fragrances. New bottle designs and reformulations are often a sign of bad things but I believe London will continue serving it's purpose exactly as it should for me. I can confidently say this because I wear and love London for about 25 days out of a 365 day year. I start wearing London on December 1 and wear it right up until Christmas morning after that London goes back on the shelf. Could I wear London in fall and right through winter until spring? Absolutely! I don't scoff at anyone who decides that Burberry London is their cold weather scent. It's great. But I tend to believe that ritual is a good thing and Burberry London being my "Christmas fragrance" is something I quite enjoy. - Overall: 8/10 - December 1 - December 25, Day or Night - Situation/Location - December 25, 745 AM, Toronto, Canada... used this in my sophomore year of high school and used it upppp now I'm a sophomore in college and ran into it at marshals for $30-1.6floz, and the bottle is different now it's clear. The last one I had looked like the picture and was a dark brown you couldn't really see through, but the scent is exactly as I remember a dark tobacco cinnamon, perfect balance, if it had a good splash of vanilla, I could compare it to herod but lower quality

The first time I saw it on a store shelf, I grabbed it purely because of the name and the look of the bottle (that unusual fabric), since I’m a fan of anything English. But once I actually smelled it, I rushed straight to the checkout without a second thought! An incredibly rare case where form and content match perfectly. This is one of my all time favorites and my favorite of the Burberry for guys. I LOVE fall and this perfectly encapsulates the fall vibes. It's warm, gentle, and spicy. It smells like sipping warm chai tea, on a chilly day, by a warm fire, in an oversized sweater, with a great book. This is a scent that makes ME feel sexy in a subtle bookworm kind of way.

I see many comments about crap performance. To my nose it's fine. I can still smell it after a working day and I don't think I have superpowers. If not in all the cases below, in some of them at least I'm suspecting olfactory fatigue. It has moderate to above moderate performance, depending on the spraying routine. Definitely not below moderate.

When I bought this at Ross I thought I was buying the original Burberry but I didn't realize that London was the name of the cologne. I much prefer the OG. This has warm Christmassy notes to it. It smells like cinnamon and nutmeg. A small bottle was $35. And although it smells fine, the cologne lasts about 45 minutes. After that it's a skin scent for a couple of hours. Way to weak for the pricepoint. For that I have to give it a dislike rating.

I love the way this smells, but the longevity is ABYSMAL. Cinnamon, clove, leather, new car, cedar wood, hint of vanilla. The tobacco is more pipe tobacco than cigar. But man, this EDT lasts like an hour tops. A tiny bit more on clothes. If I could get this to last all day, it might be in my top 5.
