Omnia Amethyste

As soon as I sniffed this on paper at the duty free, I felt like I was being hugged by a cashmere. It was warm and powderey, but not grandma like. I love iris in fragrances, and this is a softer more youthful take on Prada's Infusion d'Iris. I love the heliotrope, it provides this almond-like powder without the playdough dry down I usually get with an actual almond note (think Shaghaf Oud Tonka). Overall, this is just a very elegant and comforting fragrance. The florals and citrus (not a punchy citrus, but you definitely smell it complementing throughout), and the touch of woods are all balancing well. I'm happy I picked this up at duty free to fulfill that comforting almond fragrance I wanted in my collection.

In the opening, I get a light, powdery violet, though it fades quite quickly. It doesn't smell like violet candies to me, but more like soft violet petals. I suspect it's the iris mimicking the scent of the flower! Interestingly, the iris never turns lipstick-y or cosmetic on my skin. There's a slight dryness to it, but the heliotrope keeps it from feeling cold or melancholic. The heliotrope soon swoops in and is definitely my favourite part. It adds a lovely nutty, almond like scent that warms everything up. I'm becoming quite fond of heliotrope and I think it might be my new favourite note!! I don't really notice any of the listed top notes or even the rose. For me, this fragrance is all about the purple florals, which gradually settle into a soft woody base. The woods remind me of a gentler version of the dry, paper-y woods in L'Eau Papier. I notice someone else made the same comparison in their review below, and I completely understand what they mean! This is a pretty, delicate and understated fragrance. It wears very close to the skin... almost too close! Projection and longevity are weak, I have to say. One thing I do notice is that it never turns soapy or old-fashioned on me. Instead, it feels romantic and feminine without being too much.

I wear this as a guy lol I just love the damn iris. This is my Dior Homme Intense when it's hot out there.

I had this years ago, it was a bit dated smelling, reminded me of my grandmas bathroom, soapy, powdered, fresh. Didn’t hate it, but it lived in the car to cover up the smells of weed

Loved the top notes but like a drop d'issey it's ruined by dirty oud or synthetic woods. Just rank and I had to scrub them both. Such mismatched top and base notes. Neither is clean.

Smells like a sad iris. Something in it that is soft and melancholic. Didn’t suit me personally. Found it boring.

Omnia Amethyste is a fresh, very green scent, and on paper it seemed like something I would fall for instantly. There’s an airy clarity to it, a cool wash of greenery that promises softness beneath the crisp exterior. But on my skin, the bitter grapefruit and sharp green notes stand out a little too boldly. Even once the fragrance settles into its smoother, slightly sweet background, that initial bite stays just a bit too present for my taste. It also doesn’t last very well on me. After that vivid, almost bracing opening, the fragrance fades sooner than expected, leaving only faint traces of the gentle, amethyst-toned softness it hints at. It’s a pity, because the quieter part of its personality is the one I enjoy most. I can absolutely understand why others love it, though. There’s an elegance in the contrast it creates - the interplay of tart citrus against a velvety base, the way its freshness stays bright and clean while it’s there. If there were just a little less of that bitter sharpness, and a little more staying power, I think I’d be able to love it as much as its many fans do. As it is, Omnia Amethyste remains a scent I admire from a distance: beautiful in concept, but just not quite right on me.

Different scent memories and associations are what makes reading fragrance reviews interesting for me. It seems like a lot of people describe this scent as serene and subdued. For me this is the opposite of calm. This is the scent of a lilac bush bursting with flowers in the middle of a spring rainstorm. You’re drenched and muddy from waiting for your beau to appear at the agreed upon rendezvous point in the middle of a well manicured garden. Tempers are high, yet there is so much longing. This is the rain scene from Pride and Prejudice 2005 in a bottle. —- Anyway, for me I smell lilacs, aquatic green notes, heliotrope, and grapefruit appears every so often depending on the day. I’m also smelling a peppery facet. Longevity is an hour with low sillage.

No, just not anymore. Used this when i was really young, cause the packaging was lovely and i was in my early 20's. I recently smelled it again, ( couldn't believe it's still sold 20 years later at Sephora ) and it screeches so bad I have no idea how the people in my life survived this. Instant headache. It's so violent and pungent and not in a good way, and at the same time like someone else said, sillage is zero, gone in 10 minutes. ( But it will make your stomach sick first before saying goodbye ). This is like the "purple eyeshadow" you have in your makeup palette, that looks so good on other girls in the magazines ads and influencers online, but never on you or any regular human. No matter how hard you layer it, smudge it, or what color you pair it with, even a powdery Chanel warm brown can't save it. Put it down. If you are feminine and soft, do not stop here, the world is your oyster. If you are young and inexperienced, this is one of the worst Bvlgari you can own. Search a bit more, and you will find amazing things, even within the most beloved brand, in your price point. If you are a bold woman who wants to leave a mark, please please i beg of you, look elsewhere and you will find AMAZING bold signature fragrances to leave all of us a great memory of.

This is more of a mist or spritz or eau fraiche, not EdT. Its pretty, but virtually non-existent after 10 minutes. It's sweetly powdery, but if you forget to sniff more than 10 minutes after applying, then forget about it-it'll be gone. Definitely wearable, but absolutely not worth it at this price point, you'd empty the bottle in a week.

This scent is ethereal and elegant. There is definitely a powder note here with the Iris really taking over. There is a slight note behind everything that smells like flower water from a vase (but minus the rancid smell you would get from that). The flower water note leans slightly metallic, just whispering behind the Iris. This is truly a soft, aquatic, green, powdered floral scent. The wood in the base gives off antique store vibes, ever so slightly. The composition is soft and comforting. This is truly a gorgeous and unique scent. It is a very mild fragrance, so you really need to spray quite a bit of this to smell it.

Such a beautiful and fresh smell! Got it as a sample from a flight, wish they still made it. Does not last very long, but its a very pleasant smell great for spring. Wish it were a bit stronger

This is so good and fresh with green notes. Smells like a cool spring morning. Unfortunately only lasts 1 minute on skin and barely lasts on clothes neither. Not worth the price

This became my signature scent; however, it doesn’t last long. I had to respray. This is a compliment getter. On my skin, it is not for summer. It smells good on me during cold days but on hot days, it smells like johnsons baby powder, which I don’t like. I wish I find a perfume with the same scent that is not too expensive or I hope they would create an EDP version.

I have an older version, so I'm not certain if the scent is the same as the one in the new packaging. I really enjoy this fragrance when I want to feel fresh,clean like I've just stepped out of the shower. It has a pleasant floral powder scent that isn't overly mature (definitely not "granny vibes")— clean beautiful scent that’s easy to wear for any time! hands down iilove it. 😘

A classic! Gentle, powdery, green. It's sophisticated and so beautifully blended. I remember reading someone suggested this as a replacement to Sensi. It is not; Sensi was golden, not purple. All the florals in this: iris, bulgarian rose, heliotrope are present. The florals stick around through the woody drydown. Incredible.

I like the floral scent — it gives me the vibe of expensive wardrobe sachets, in a good way. It’s clean and feminine. But it’s weak on my skin; I can barely sense it after a couple of hours, even when I use more sprays than I normally would with other perfumes. I tried layering it with Molecule 02 for more depth, and it was amazing, but still pretty weak

Well, it's a Bvlgari, that's for sure. It's an EDT, so have in mind it's pretty mild, but it's quite suitable for spring and summer. Think a rich mom in the 2000's. You need to douse yourself in it in order for it to last. Wish I were joking. Opens similar to most Omnias, a bright, elegant aquatic, which then opens up to a floral nuance. There are hints of powdered iris peeking out, but just barely - it's still quite calm and centered. I find the drydown to be a bit reminiscent of Flower by Kenzo, slightly creamy but floral. Maybe an illegitimate child of Lanvin's Arpege and Flower by Kenzo? Hm. It's pleasant and creamy on the skin after a while, either way. The hand cream comments are dead on. It's a good one for summery date nights, and I think it's quite nice and entrancing on the skin, as after the sharp citruses wane in a minute or two, what remains is an almost velvet, opulent juicy violet flower.

A classically elegant, feminine floral composition. I seem to detect a hint of violet, though it is not listed among the notes. The fragrance is smooth throughout, and after its perceptible opening, the sillage settles into a skin scent that remains for several hours. A truly pleasant experience.

Smells like what the if the preppy girl at the private boarding school would wear. Super acrid to my nose for the first 5-10 minutes for some reason, might be the violets - it's almost overwhelming a hand cream type floral. But it dries down to the most delicate, feminine but grounded woody rose. Smells rich and is pretty versatile, easy grab for the office, drinks after work or brunch. Lasts nearly the entire day on me.

This is my current signature. I am very picky with my perfumes and its rare for me to enjoy one as much as this one <33 It is very well crafted, versatile and effortless, my favorite powdery purple floral I have smelled so far. I dont get any grapefruit or rose to be honest, its mainly a makeupy powder with a mix of purple florals that I would describe as green lilac, a clean non vegetal iris and sweet almondy heliotrope. On my skin its slightly warm and the heliotrope really comes through, which reminds me a little bit of the slight nuttiness in leau papier. But overall theres more to this one and its not as dry and “sterile”. Theres a tiny bit of a nivea cream vibe going on as well. On my clothes it is definitely more floral, green and colder. Sits close to the skin and not very long lasting sadly :] I have an older bottle, dont know if the scent in the newer bottles differs.

Smells like dewy lilacs on a crisp sunny June morning. Really lovely smell but sadly it vanishes almost completely within an hour so I would not purchase it. Smell: 7/10 Longevity: 1/10

Your flip phone buzzes with texts, your room smells like Moonlight Path body lotion. You spray Omnia Amethyste on your scarf, grab your iPod and head out into the evening.

I had a tester of this that I used today. It's such a beautiful, feminine, soft, airy and powdery scent. It reminds me of parma violets! This must be the iris note. Soooooo magical!! I've been searching for so long for my perfect spring/summer scent and if this had better sillage and longevity I would definitely be buying a full bottle. Most of the spring/summer perfumes that I've tried so far have been too citrus forward which I find unappealing. So when I smelt the opening of omnia amethyste I was sooooo excited!! At last I thought! My perfect spring/summer fragrance!! Alas my search continues 🥹 as unfortunately it sits too close to the skin and after an hour I can barely detect any scent at all. If they ever bring out an eau de parfum I would definitely buy a bottle. As it stands, the eau de toilette is way overpriced for such a weak product. I'd have to overspray repeatedly throughout the day and that's just a pain. I guess it must depend on each person's skin though as some reviewers say they get several hours of longevity. Shame I didn't as the scent profile is divine! 💫✨️ Edit: I came across a bargain 30ml bottle and purchased it! Am loving it! It does actually last a bit better than I had originally thought and my sister said that the sillage isn't bad as she could still smell me down in the kitchen after I had gone back upstairs. She loves it too and says it's her perfect fresh laundry scent!
