been dying to try this one only for it to be so meh and also $300
I absolutely loved it when I smelled it on the test strip. It was a cool and mysterious clean girl scent. But all I could smell on my skin was a cloying musk.
On myself it smells like baby wipes dialed up to a thousand and inspires nausea. I also do not enjoy smelling it on other people. And I definitely do smell it on other people! I can pick this scent out of a crowd anywhere and I smell it relatively frequently in the Southern California area. I'd say I smell it almost as often as I smell Santal 33 and I immediately know when someone is wearing it. A woman in my office showed up wearing this one day and I could smell her from all the way across the entire office (there are physical walls between us).
This fragrance smells likes expensive baby powder. As a man, that is not something I want to smell like but it is a very clean and slightly uplifting scent.
I like it. Smells clean, and a perfect unisex everyday scent. sadly, it doesn't last more than 4 hours on my skin :(
Interesting, as in you will smell this a second and third time to really differ out and understand the notes rather than enjoy the bottle. Forgetful to most, but you will remember not having a clear outlook on the perfume when sniffing it for the first time. More long-lasting compared to other Byredo perfumes, which are known for their faintness, but doesn't travel far from your wrist. Was able to hear ambergris and violet after a 3-hour flight.
If ur looking for something in the realm of pear shampoo, you’re gonna love this. It’s fruity and clean but more interesting than others
Just wearing this for the first time today. This fragrance reminds me of a paper factory... And I'm loving it! Projection appears to be good enough to fill an office room, silage is low though. Received one compliment at the bank so far... This is, by far, the most unique fragrance that I own. It starts out sweet with this fruity-flowery tone, I'm guessing thats the Sapodilla and the Violet. Then it hits this mid-stage where on me....it smells like paper, or a paper factory (if you've ever been to one). Stays there til the drydown where it becomes more woody, less sweet and almost sour-toned creamy soapy scent... It stays fresh and light the entire wear, however...so it's perfect for warmer weather! It stayed on my skin FOR-EVER but a shower got it off. 28JUL26 Update: Aaaaand the wife yoinked it...loved how it smelled and Its hers now lol. I'll order another bottle at a later date. =P
its clean but not in a soapy way, i bought it to feel cool and it worked
It's an everyday all year day fragrance and I agree with "smells like baby wipes". However, I don't find that to be a bad thing if you like clean, sharp, bright and fresh scents that are not soapy forward. Unisex
Tried this at the airport, and thought it smelled very familiar... Turns out it's a pricier sister of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre
Smells like baby wipes...
Wanted to love this but it smells like baby wipes on me 😭
Oh this is heavenly, something a teacher would wear (in a good way). I have the oil version of this, it’s pretty nice. After wearing it for the whole day I still pick up ambergris (specifically just like “Not a perfume” by Juliette has a gun) on the pulse points I applied it to. Love it.
I purchased a sample of this to try recently. It is a very clean, bright, and green fragrance. It's fresh and inoffensive, but it doesn't really wow me. Definitely a nice one for warmer months. Longevity is ok, I get about 5 hours on my skin. I like it, but I don't really understand the hype and it is definitely not a love for me. I will use up my sample, but I probably won't buy a bottle at this price point.
I don’t know why, but it makes me feel a little queasy. It’s also expensive for a full-size bottle. I’m starting to regret buying it a little. After about two hours, the scent settles into something wonderful. I’m a man, but I get the impression this fragrance is popular with women, so I think I’ll give it a try for a while. A lot of people vote for it as a spring or summer scent, but my first impression was that it’s better suited for cooler weather. It had a warm, cozy vibe to it.
Clean avant garde musky floral scent, dries down woody. Unisex but leans fem, I go nose blind to it pretty quickly so unsure about longevity.
From the moment I spritzed it on, the opening notes struck me with a strong and fresh pear scent. It captures the essence of a freshly cut pear—sweet and refreshing—dominating the first couple of minutes. As the fragrance evolves, clean floral notes begin to emerge, beautifully complementing the initial burst of pear. The combination remains pleasant against my skin, with the floral elements enhancing the overall experience. Soon after, a creamy wood and musky note join in, providing a soft depth to the scent while still allowing the pear to shine through, albeit with an added muskiness that develops as the fragrance fades. Performance-wise, Mojave Ghost projects well during the first half hour, offering a noticeable presence. However, after that, the scent draws closer to the skin, becoming more intimate rather than a mass-projecting fragrance. Longevity is a bit lacking for me, as I found that it lasted around four hours with each wear. I believe Mojave Ghost is perfect for a clean office day. It’s an ideal scent for anyone looking to evoke a fresh, polished feeling while navigating through a busy work environment or simply enjoying a leisurely day out. Overall, I would describe Mojave Ghost as having a clean, pretty aroma—perfect for spring and summer. If you are a man who enjoys a blend of clean florals and fruity notes, this fragrance is definitely worth testing out.
I have been trying to love this fragrance for a long time (I’ve been circling around it for a year already), but unfortunately, every time I spray it, I experience a physical feeling of nausea. At the same time, I do like the fragrance itself - I can appreciate its beauty and the idea behind it, but I simply cannot overcome my physical reaction to it. Sometimes during the drydown, I perceive a hint of an overripe, slightly rotten juicy pear and an association with the smell of human saliva. This is a very subjective perception, but these nuances are exactly what make the fragrance difficult for me to wear. I love it, I admire it, but it makes me feel nauseous.
Right away my husband and I both really loved this one. It's fresh, fruity, a little citrusy, and a unique kind of floral. It has a bit of an intoxicating aroma that I can't stop smelling. The dry down actually gets more citrusy which is unusual as citrus is usually one of the first scents to fade. It's a very unique fragrance. I don't have any perfumes that are similar to this. It's a little pricey, but I think it's worth it.
I haven't smelt anything similar to it to compare, but I will say it is earthy and powdery. Not really a fan of the regular perfume, I liked the perfume oil better. It is very very intimate. Edit: I will say the perfume oil is very ethereal, but not really noticeable. You will get a faint sniff here and there. The spray is more earthy.
On my skin this is the forgettable, weak version of Ella K Musc K
Maybe it’s just because I got a paper sample, but I think if you guys didn’t know that it had a sapodilla note, was called "Mojave Ghost", or was from Byredo, you’d just think “huh, a slightly watery citrus scent.” Like, it’s okay. It’s safe, fine. I don’t get anything “alien”, “ethereal”, or “angelic”; it’s rather ordinary?
So unique, of course i now understand the hype ! Beautiful flowy, watery, airy , original dna. Lovely evolution in the drydown, where it gives its best performance. Unisex, clean but dark, amazing interpretation and use of the ingredients, just beautiful. I love the Sapodilla and ambrette duo, makes all the difference and carries through amazingly. It's sweet and airy at the same time, i do wish magnolia was less prominent so it would be a hint less floral. But amazing scent, i can see people falling in love and having it as a signature scent. Nice work !
Lovely smell. I adore violet-powdery fragrances and it has just become one of them. Nothing new or groundbreaking, but still it’s my favourite Byredo fragrance so far. The price tag is out of my reach, but the smell itself is absolutely great.
Mojave Ghost is lovely― I discovered it because I walked past someone wearing it, and immediately turned around and asked her what she was wearing, because she smelled so good. Her date agreed. For some reason, when I smell it, I get melon. I think this is great as a signature scent; it's unique and smells delightful. I know there's a powder accord listed, but I don't get powder. It's gorgeous and beautiful, but ultimately not for me because of how feminine it leans.
Clean woody, floral, pear, smells like a clean luxury hotel.
Pretty safe, familiar, dated, and one-note bouquet. Boring.
It's okay. Definitely don't worth the money, overpriced.
i really love it as a summer scent. smells kinda like those fashion magazines from early 00'
