Allure Sensuelle

this perfume immediately deviates from 'Allure'. of course it would be strange if spices, dried fruit, patchouli, iris, lavender, labdanum and two whopping roses wouldn't do that. again the brilliant concoction, alchimical mingling of the variousest of notes makes also 'Allure Sensuelle' a spectral perfume, which I saw to my pleasure documented in the photos depicting the perfume. there it is stated that the perfume unites the qualities: [intemporelle], boisée, oriental, fruité, frais and SOLAIRE. this has all been reached in my opinion. it is however lacking somewhat in the aspect of 'FLEURI'. I do smell roses and jasmine. those are not easy to neglect. it is again the mixing and maceration of all which veils somewhat the singular notes. this was also the goal of Allure in the first place. patchouli (my straight twinbrothers favorite) has a fatty, overtaking, herbal tone. it does add to this perfume. so I do like the perfume but to me 'Coco' will always be first. I am an incurable connaiseur of ultrastrong perfumes as Giorgio-Poison-Knowing-Oudh Infini-Montale Intense Black Aoudh-Gale Hayman Beverly Hills-Frédéric Malle Dominique Ropion Promise, Fleur de Cassie and Portrait of a Lady. yet this is the Chanel equivalent of such perfume. so it has indeed a timeless Allure and mystic Sophistication.

I don't know what fragrance these people are talking about that it's dusty? It is not .. it is one of their best fragrances. A powerhouse. It needs to set for a few months before you start using it. A huge compliment getter for me.😍 I have people stop me all the time and ask what it is..

Very dusty at first spray. There’s sth very earthy in this perfume that puts me off. I think it’s the patchouli. It’s excessive and still struggles to raise its ugly head at the dry down. Yuck 🤮 . I bought the OG instead.

Dry down capmer version od Dolce Vita Dior

One of my least admired Chanels. There’s a dusty, breathy quality here, and the patchouli feels too dirty. For something marketed as “sensuelle,” I expected actual sensuality, not an 80s barbershop profile wrapped in a faintly muddy base. It definitely leans masculine. I can imagine it working on someone whose skin already carries an earthy warmth; it could sit comfortably there. On me, or in comparison to the original Allure, it doesn’t earn attention. The OG has coherence and elegance. This feels like a side branch that didn't reach full definition.

Smells like a dusty 80’s scent… sweaty seasonings and dirty patchouli

I’m hanging on to a 12+ year old bottle. Baby is STRONG. One spray lasts for days and nothing has ever compared to the longevity for me. I found some close fragrances like Tiger by her side with the same vibe that’s more suitable for everyday wear but this one is my anniversary fragrance and my late fall wedding perfume so she’s got my heart.

The most sensual Chanel fragrance ever. Hands down.

This is a big love❤️ I believe this to be the best Chanel, fragrance out there in the mass-produced line. it's strong. It's beautiful. not really what I would call sweet. but so beautiful. The sillage is enormous. so many compliments on this one.

I found out about this fragrance from a YouTuber (The Fragrantician) and wanted to try it. It's a bit pricey, though, so I tracked down a dupe of it on Amazon for $25. I love patchouli-based scents and this is no exception. A little definitely goes a long way with this one. It's a beautiful scent that I can imagine wearing for a date night.

For me this is strange perfume: it has sweetness like from old hay or fading sugarcane confronting with bitterness like from earwax or old wet rugs and all this on a woody elegant base. I tried to wear it several times. It is weirdly attractive just to try for several minutes, but can’t imagine having it for a whole day. Sorry pass.

Someone was selling a partial of this and I was curious so I went and smelt it. Smells like hot flashes and coochie dust. Too potpourri-like. Older women shouldn't even wear this. I can see why this has been discontinued. No good. I'm mad I drove all the way to the west side to sample this. Glad I had a tester strip and none got on me.

This perfume is love of my life. First time I smelled this fragrance was when I was 17. Now I'm 30 and that's only fragrance that I want to wear. Price is for me a little bit over the top but its long lasting and it smells more than 12 hours on my skin. Pink pepper is the first note that I smell , pachouli is not even strong that much , it gets floral and peachy but not overwhelming floral . Wood notes are the ones that last even after 20 hours on pillow on hair on jacket. Beautiful, classy and timeless.

One of my lovely friends was wearing this when we went out for drinks. After a while, I gave her my jacket because it got cold as the night went on. When I got my jacket back, this fragrance lingered on it. I'm not very knowledgeable about women's fragrances, but from a male perspective, this one is truly beautiful. The notes aren't overpowering or a praline overload like most women's perfumes are -sadly-. I love it.

My goodness! It’s getting so much better and better in spring/summer time!! Amazing!

This is wearable patchouli. I think peach, citrus notes, and pink pepper might ground the patchouli, which I normally don’t like. There are obviously exceptions. I don’t like Coco Mademoiselle because of patchouli. Allure Sensuelle I can get on board! It’s classy, “perfumy,” and feels like a Chanel. It’s powdery and peachy. I got the vintage edition.

Peachy, spicy opening, with rose and patchouli. Everything blended to have soft edges. It is very sweet after some time, very vanilla, musk, amber, vetiver, patchouli. But the start is predominantly spicy-fresh. It is not easy to discern the notes, which is a plus as this time the notes play Allure Sensuelle. It has a decadent presence, it is rich, complex and overwhelming at times, especially when the skin is heated, which is why I prefer it during winter, as it gets to a maximum sillage only when the situation is heated and creates a bubble then, which I like in big spaces. Very sensual, very vanilla in the background notes it is rather an evening parfume and perfect for a date. I had it on me on a party and felt like the main star there, constantly in this gorgeous scented bubble. But in small and closed spaces this diva might be too much. Yet I would not like to be without it, so I need to buy a backup to my half empty 50ml. It is much warmer than its edt version which is also gorgeous.

This is my favorite Chanel fragrance. When I first got it, I was so mad because I had bought it from a discount site thinking it was really weak or a fake. But after keeping it for about six months, this thing is a beast now. I actually bought another bottle directly from Chanel. Thinking I had bought a fake.. . .. was I ever wrong.. Let it macerate ladies!! I don't know if Chanel didn't macerate them? trying to get them out the door, but this is not a weak fragrance...And one of the only ones I get compliments from Chanel anymore. as a lot of their fragrances are being watered down. It is beautiful, alluring and I just love the smell. I get compliments every time I wear it...love!!! My opinions on the original allure is that it is very weak and almost nonexistent after the two hour mark. They have definitely watered this one down as I have the original fragrance nothing alike. They've turned this into a body spray more or less. For a huge price. Do not buy the EDT in this particular fragrance. as the EDP is the one that is the beast.

i quite like it more in winter.

this is a peppery, slightly floral patchouli bomb. i love patchouli. actually i can say that for the first time i like the use of pink pepper so prominently in a perfume. but the peppery notes perfectly balanced with patchouli and woody floraly notes in this. definetly unisex. my fall- winter daytime scent.

I’m a huge lover of this, and i have been for three years. I finally managed to find a good deal on it ,getting it second hand from a collector. I first smelled it on my boyfriend when we just met, when he borrowed it from his mom. (It wears great on men too in my opinion) So it does have some sentimental value and i’m so happy i can make this my cold weather signature. You have to be a fan of the prominent notes, however. The patchouli, pink pepper and florals are definetly there at first. But when it dries down its so lovely and warm.. I get what people are saying, it’s definetly a mature scent. However i think it fits me very well as a bit of a gothicy younger lady.

Left a review a little bit back but came to say this is a sexy older dad magnet. And I love it. Two very good looking older men with hair that is just starting to silver, complimented me in the last couple of days. Also the people who seem to compliment me the most on this fragrance are women who have character, and sexy older men. Take that as you will. 😉

Is it just me or this fragrance has massively been watered-down?? Can hardly detect anything .. the edp is a Feb 2024 mfg formula batch code 0201 ... there's no strength in the juice. Before I distinctly remember an oily film was very much discernible whenever sprayed on the skin ..its just alcohol now. Can anyone say if its just me or sth else!! Do I return this? 17.8.2024 After my initial reaction to the purchase which I stick with is that its quite intense on the labdanum and rose. The jasmin sort of plays second fiddle. The intensity of the labdanum within the next 5mins settles down when you can detect the sandalwood and lavender. The presence of orangy fruitiness with some sweetness from the peach is more pronounced than the aroma of dried fruits and spices. After another 10 mins (after looking at the notes) I can smell the patchouli but the point where I sprayed it on skin is more labdanum and rose and only on those parts which got some fine droplets from the spray that its more patchouli and woody. Allure Sensuelle is very powdery, it gets it from the iris i guess. The powderiness is mature not unlike the n°5 soapworks with aldehydes. My advice spray it from some distance. Its changed, and may be even I. It's gone from my skin by the first hour. Pitiable. Its definitely not what it used to be

I thought this would be a more rich and syrupy version of Allure which I liked but found unsatisfyingly vague and dissipated and a bit sweaty towards the end.But this is entirely different scent, being unexpectedly masculine cologne smelling. It doesn’t smell at all like they are related. I thought Joy by Dior smelled more like what I expected this to be.

Allure Sensuelle is a beautiful perfume but I still prefer the original Allure which I find more... sensual, imposing and chic. I find this one a little more demure and the patchouli is a little too present for my personal tastes; If, like me, you only like it in small doses, it's not certain that you fully appreciate this perfume. Allure Sensuelle is nevertheless nicely woody and powdery, and has a certain "lightness" that I don't find in the original. Nice, but I'm going to keep my original Allure anyway :) Beautiful staying power and sillage.

Gorgeous Allure Sensuelle this should never have been discontinued. This and Allure edp are my favorite Chanel fragrances 10/10.

This is definitely for a mature lady. It will take some time for me to warm up to this. The dry down is a bit overwhelming for me, so I layered it with a soft vanilla scent. (Billie Ellish)
