Comète is a love for me, it evokes a gently sweet powder and the color pink. A fresh, airy vanilla accompanies it, so it doesn't smother you even in the summer heat. Its powder wanders somewhere between makeup powder and baby powder, and the sakura is, I'd say, the softest version I've smelled so far and the one that makes you feel the pink flower, even though I know it's imaginary. There's an almond feel in the composition too, but it's not overly nutty, nor bitter, probably something coming from heliotrope, and I liked it. Posh, chic and versatile. I think I'm going to get a bottle of this one. My mind lingers on it every time I try it. Tag(s): powdery, pink, almond, chic

Smells almost exactly like strawberry thief. Just the strawberry opening on ST is more forward at first

Perfect melange of heliotrope, iris and cherry blossom, for a dainty like nuance with potent projection. Plastic doll like musk and iris baby wipes in a refined mature way. Sweet and aquatic yet ironically powdery. This isn’t groundbreaking but it’s is definitely done classier with that perceivable Chanel DNA that makes it stand out from other similar like scents. Even though there are plenty of scents like this, someone with a taste for class can always tell the difference between a cap toe Steve Madden flat and a cap toe Chanel flat, they might look the same from afar but they don’t compare in quality, same with this fragrance.

Finally got my hands on Comète… Ever since it launched, I had my eyes, rather nose, set on it. 😛 I still feel the name Comète doesn’t exactly align with what this scent is… To me, Comète should have felt larger than life, more galactic and universal. This one, on the other hand, is a delightful, blossoming bouquet… so pretty, graceful, and full of love. It’s a scent I’d wear on Valentine’s Day or to a special gathering… I dont smell anything edgy or “comet like” here. Maybe this could have been called “Soft Hugs” lol… but irrespective, I love it so much and I’m so happy it’s finally in my collection… I love it when I catch random whiffs of it as Im on the go. - Bhavna Darira

Love this powdery heliotrope beauty. Reminds me a lot of heliotrope milkbath by UFC. I have both and not upset about it.

This perfume is my favorite in the Les Exclusifs range and the one I find to be the most wearable. I recently purchased the large 200ml bottle and I can't stop wearing it. The opening reminds me of an amalgamation of other Chanel perfumes - No 19 Poudre, Beige, & No 5 Eau Premier. The opening is my least favorite part of the scent journey but I find that to be a pattern with most of Chanel perfumes as the dry down is where the magic really happens. In the dry down I get a chalky iris with subtle chewy almond, must, and a lot of powder. For some reason, the dry down smells like if you combined 1957 with Coco Noir. It is warm, enveloping, classic, timeless without smelling dated. This is the Chanel perfume where the opening and the dry down are the most different. My new favorite Chanel.

It’s nice perfume in general, but come on Chanel! This literally KENZO Flower by Kenzo !! Kenzo has more longevity and sillage.

Анонім

At first spray it smells like Chanel no. 5. But after a few minutes it dries down to a powdery, cherry blossom/floral smell. It's really soft and pleasant. Think of a powdery version of Byredo La Tulipe. Totally different from Chanel' DNA but it smells really nice.

Holy cow I smell like a freshly cleaned and powdered baby. Smells just like baby wipes and baby powder.

Анонім

It’s a bit powdery and reminds me of my granny’s dressing table, but I like it. If a friend were wearing it, I’d compliment them. 7/10

Анонім

Isn’t loud but great longevity. The heliotrop/iris combo is so addictive.

Анонім

Beautiful soft airy delicate girly powdery scent, longevity isn't amazing for me but I don't mind as I adore the scent so much, if you're looking for a powdery scent that isn't dated this is it

I read once that loving Chanel perfumes is an acquired love, never a love from the first sniff. And that might be the most accurate thing about Chanel; you sniff their perfumes, go home, and decide that you don’t like it at first; but then after few visits to the store and familiarizing yourself with them, some how they start to CLICK in your brain and you find beauty that was not for the public to please on a trendy basis. The great thing about this is once you like a chanel perfume; it is a lifetime thing for you ♥️ That what happened to me with (Comete) It took me 2 years to (Discover) it’s beauty, not to just notice it. I did not like it at first, smelled somehow medicinal cherry to me, but something about it lingered in the air, something mesmerizing that I cannot point out, and every time I would go to the mall I would pass by Chanel store to sniff it and keep it on my wrist. Now; after 2 years of coming back and forth to it, it finally CLICKED in my brain to be the most delicious irisy, powdery , skin scent that I have ever tried ! The dry down on the skin is addictive, bet you won’t be able to stop sniffing your skin, smells like your skin but hundred times better 🤍 Got my self a small sample that I’m protecting with my life until I save enough budget for a full bottle 🤍

I have a dumbed down description for this Floral tea with a sprinkle of herbal tea. Goes for 6-8 hours on my skin. 8.5/10 scent 7/10 projection 6/10 sillage Sits close to skin after an hour or two.

If you love a Chanel iris than you will no doubt find Comete a knockout gorgeous masterpiece like I do. The perfectly judged clean musk, the ethereal powdery iris, the soft, doll’s head heliotrope that eventually lends a cherry nuance to the listed cherry blossom accord, all of it as advertised and presented in the classy serene and clean manner of a group of beautiful spa sirens visiting Cap Ferrat Earth via Planet Chanel. I love it. 4.5 out of No. 5.

Анонім

Beautiful clean and fresh fragrance which is mostly driven by iris and heliotrope but features a notable whisper of cherry blossom at the top. It is elegant and feels expensive, and projection is moderate although longevity is very good for me, I legit get around 10 hours on my skin and it stays on clothes for days! I just go for a few extra sprays and then I get a diffusive cloud around me which is certainly noticeable. Compliment magnet too!

Анонім

My absolute favorite from the Les Exclusives line. Its the best iris out there. Creamy, rich, long lasting scent. It is not loud but creates the most beautiful scent bubble and radiates off the skin all day. There is something about this composition that is very elegant and romantic. I dont’t experience a lot of powderiness, the drydown is more like an expensive facial cream. In love!

Анонім

So far the most beautiful iris fragrance I have as a man in my collection. Great enough to be a signature, but preferably a special occasions scent with a spick and span outfit to match that aura. This is the one I will gatekeep with confidence outside perfume socials. 😌 Forget Prada l'homme EDT, this is the ultimate fresh iris scent together with Mindgames Queening!🔥 2nd review btw 🙂

refined iris with a clean musky base effortlessly elegant. The heliotrope is beautifully done, adding a creamy, powdery softness that elevates the composition It sits close to the skin, understated, modern, and one of Chanel’s most wearable creations.

As a true lover of the first formulation of Insolence EDP, I am amazed by this.

Анонім

I love this one. It is a beautiful floral, iris scent. Not overpowering, so perfect for office. Perfectly feminine. Love, love.

Анонім

Violet body salve but sprayable. I don't get hardly any iris from this. To me this is pure candy violet and heliotrope. It reminds me of my gf's bottle of Helitrope Blanx quiet a bit, not a bad thing at all. Very clean and powdery fragrance.

Анонім

Clean soft, sour sweet floral cherry, delicate silky smooth powdery musky almond with orris butter & heliotrope Right away, you get a syrupy sweet cherry opening for two minutes, then floral notes start to balance it. Sweet sour floral cherry blossom, with almond powdery notes in the background with hints of vanilla. It’s slightly soapy clean, sweet cherry blossom with hints of powdery vanilla almond flour notes. The heart is full of light aldehydes, almond & vanilla powder with floral sweet notes of cherry blossom, orris butter & heliotrope (the heart is violet). Powdery musk is present at this stage. The heart is soft, rich & silky smooth; as if it gives you a warm silky soft hug when you’re wearing this perfume The base is powdery, slightly earthy, a bit creamy, with musk, floral notes & almonds. It gives you the vibe of a fancy hand cream. It’s marketed as a unisex fragrance. For me it’s feminine from opening to heart, then in the dry down; it starts to become unisex with a tendency to lean toward feminine. I love it & I do wear it & enjoy it a lot. It has the Chanel DNA Performance is above average & silage is excellent. IG Sir.Fragrances

We complain about how many fragrances today have performance issues, but there should be no complaints about this as it lasts forever. That wouldn't have been a problem if I liked or loved the fragrance, but I don't. I really don't care for cherry blossom in perfumes finding that note too sweet and youthful. The few perfumes I like that contain that note it isn't so much a feature of the scent. Here it is the strongest note, and it lasts throughout the wear. So, if you like that note, you should love it here. I do concede that it is very pretty and something I might purchase for one of my nieces in the future, but for me, I prefer the dryer iris fragrances from Chanel, like Misia and 1932, which I already own.

This is most assuredly related to N°5; a distant cousin perhaps. It does possess the Iris which introduces itself immediately. As it calms, the powder presents and doesn’t leave. Akin to N°5, the longevity is (as someone else stated) nuclear. I don’t feel it’s offensive as its silage sits a bit close; however, when walking through a room someone behind you will get a whiff. I’d say it’d be safe year-round. IMO, it’s a safe purchase. I still have my N°5 so I’ll wait to purchase this. It’s $$$$$

Анонім

Surprisingly more lipstick-like than Misia (which is more violet candy than lipstick). Perfect if you crave something lipsticky powdery. Not a ”beast mode” fragrance but more elegant and close to the skin

What a beautiful fragrance. It opens with fresh florals - gorgeous cherry blossoms. Then an iris/violet powder (not baby powder) moves in, the two play together nicely until the parents come home. Yes, Comete settles into a soft almond that’s creamy and delicate. I feel it’s a feminine leaning fragrance, but I haven’t smelled it on a guy yet (which I’d like to!). I have a small sample I’m working on, but plan to own this one day!!

I kept going back on forth for weeks with Comete before i took the plunge. Purely from a standpoint of me having too many perfumes and barely finish any of them at this point. It kept smelling familiar. It just hit me me on the head, Comete and Frederic Malle's Dans Tes Bras are almost identical to the 90th percentage. Comete is more iris / violet forward while DTB is more musk / cashmere forward. If you have that, you dont need this at all. Still, a very beautiful parfum. Powdery with a hint of iris. Very much the dna of chanel. Maybe too linear for me for the exclusivity.

I blind bought a 200 ml because something inside me told me to and because I have a shopping problem. After that I started trusting my gut with everything. 10000000/10. The most beautiful powdery clean scent. So beautiful.

I'm grateful to my generous friend Gretta, who shared a nice-size decant with me. At the current price--about $500 a pop--it's beyond my power to justify buying, but I have been curious about it for a long time, since it came out, at any rate. I understand the comparisons to my beloved Misia, although this one is more youthful and tender, with a distinct cherry accord (both fruit and blossom) combining with the heliotrope to create a refined almond-flour, powdery effect. The iris note ramps up the powderiness still more, and it's the iris (possibly orris, too) that accounts for the faint resemblance to Misia. Comète actually reminds me even more of a classic from another house: Guerlain L'Instant Magic. I also noted similarities to Swan Princess by Vagabond Prince and Junoon Noir. Recommended for when you want to smell soapy, immaculate, and all powdered and pampered up. That said, if you would like to smell like this for a lot less money, consider the Guerlain L'Instant Magic, which you can usually find for a reasonable price online or even the Dua impression thereof, Her Instant Magic. I suppose I have a red line when it comes to perfume cost, and sadly Chanel has ensured that the Les Exclusifs line is now well beyond it. I will hoard what remains of my current stashes as long as I can, and Chanel can market its most exclusive wares to the oligarch class, I guess.
