If you are a patchouli fan, this one will probably work for you. It is spicy, fresh-sweet, woody and musky, but unfortunately I completely miss the milky notes. On my skin, it dries down in a distinctly masculine way and lingers forever in clothes.

Good cold day fragrance with good performance. Smells 90% similar to Panouge Sandstorm, but more refined. There is a green note in Sandstorm that doesn't fit in, it isn't present here and the scent is more smooth. 7.5/10

Classy, clean masculine leaning. Amber, saffron, caraway and pepper are the notes that stick out to me. Really solid. Did not expect to like this one as much as I do. One of the best of the house and smells really high end. 9/10

I've had this for a little over a month and i quickly realized that i love layering with it. I first layered it with my sandalwood body mist and it was just perfect for a hot summer day. Now that we're heading into fall i plan to experiment with some patchouli or amber fragrances. Just a lovely, underrated fragrance

a bit metallic in the opening? the saffron is quite sharp but later settles down. That being said, that fades away quickly and becomes sweet, slightly spicy and creamy- the drydown on my smells veeeeery similar to hypnotic poison (so much so, that upon putting it on I kept thinkin to myself “Who’s wearing HP?”) Overall, I see this as a nice, comforting,creamy vanilla with a bit of an edge, plus it lasts quite well both on skin and clothes (but I find that this kind of scent profile often does)

Ah yes, an ambery-woody designer fragrance that doesn't attempt to kill the nerve endings in my nose with ambroxan and other ambro- sometings!

The milkiness is most noticeable in the opening, where it resembles a dash of sweetened condensed milk. Moving forward into the heart and base, that note recedes into the background and 21 lives off the contrast between a clean laundry type musk, the sweetness of the patchouli, tonka and vanilla and the astringency of woods, florals, spices and oakmoss. A unique yet somehow familiar experience. I can see why a previous reviewer drew a parallel to Coromandel. If you look at Coromandel as a plushly arranged 70's soft rock composition, then 21 could be a 2000's EDM variation on the same theme, revealing less note separation and a more thumping base (bass). Also, the former's often mentioned white chocolate facets here find a substitute in the illusion of milk. Moderate to good sillage and longevity.

First I bought decant and even though I didn't open the bottle, the smell filled the whole room. Then I squeezed it and tested its longevity. Conclusion; Permanence is tremendous. Even though a day had passed and I had taken a shower, there was still a smell on my skin. On my t-shirt, it was more dominant than my skin. As for the smell; I think it's the milk note, I don't know, at first you detect a note in women's perfumes, but I can also say that it smells masculine. Apart from that note, it is very nice and I can say that both genders can use it easily. When milk, amber, saffron, cumin and patchouli are blended, it turns into a very different, remarkable and pleasant scent. I had some of my female friends test the scent and they all loved it. My advice to you is not to over tighten it for the office environment. Finally, I ordered the 100ml bottle because I liked it. I recommend it to everyone.

After spending significant time with 21, considering its affordability, I’ve considered it one of the most well-executed fragrances in contemporary perfumery. TOP NOTES The opening moments of this release remind me of the good old days from the earlier time in this hobby when I was experiencing everything for the first time. The initial spray releases an intriguing blend where I immediately detect the citrus notes intertwined with precious saffron, which I can’t get enough of, no matter which perfume. There’s an immediate sense of calm and comfort—like a cozy blanket in fragrance form. HEART NOTES As the fragrance settles, the heart notes emerge, revealing a spicier and more complex layer. The caraway and black pepper add a gentle heat that contrasts beautifully with the initial citrus and saffron burst, giving the scent an intriguing edge. Caraway does not produce a body odor smell here, and it is masterfully combined with black pepper and that slightly milky and animalic royal jelly. BASE NOTES I get a bit of scratchy old-school patchouli combined with tonka bean and amber, giving it that Coromandel vibe. Remember, this is not a clone; both came out in the same year, and I wouldn’t be surprised if 21 came first. Chocolate patchouli aroma is here if that is what you are searching for, but do not expect it too much. OVERALL Is this something new that will blow your mind? Probably not. Created for the brand’s 21st anniversary by perfumer Juliette Karagueuzoglou, it feels like a perfect collaboration that blends the best of both their styles. The scent opens with an unexpected mix of milk and saffron, offering a creamy and slightly spicy start that’s both unique and inviting. As it unfolds, notes of orange blossom, cashmere wood, amber, and musk add warmth and depth, creating a sophisticated heart. I make my own "Milky Vanilla" these days, but I found this on sale for $20/1oz so I tossed it in the basket with the other fragrance I bought. I'll compare it to my own "Milky Vanilla" fragrance and post a review here when it arrives. UPDATE: Okay...this is like my version of "Whispers in the Library" mixed with one spray of my "Milky Vanilla". Nothing I haven't already experienced, but glad I bought a small bottle for the experience. Not very milky to me...but I overdose on the lactones in my "Milky Vanilla" (20% overall) so I'm used to waaaaaay more of a lactonic feel when I wear something "Milky/Creamy". This ends up in the woody category when it dries down...which is nice. This is very subtle and office safe. I'd probably spray this on after a shower and wear it around the house. EDIT: This is almost EXACTLY the same as my bottle of "Kenneth Cole - Serenity" minus the lactones. I only use that for a "Smooth Wood" layering effect, I reckon "21" will be used the same.

𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 1.5𝙢𝙡 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚, 𝙙𝙢 𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙! Right away on skin, the earthy patchouli and metallic saffron hit me like a truck and I was debating whether to scrub it off when the sweet steamed milk came through. As it develops, the sweetness dials up more and more. I wouldn't consider it creamy because it's not that smooth with the spices, but it is lactonic and aromatic. There is a bit of bergamot and oakmoss here. Milk note creates a light muskiness, while the patchouli works with vanilla, tonka beans, and amber to keep the sweetness dry and hot. Luxurious yet cozy, fresh yet warm. My only problem is the saffron note, which makes it slightly metallic. It also fades into a skin scent too quickly for my liking, but overall quite an interesting scent. There's not a lot of good milk fragrances for men out there but this is one of those rare gems.

I usually don't like milk notes, but Custome National 21 makes a different milk mixture. milk mixed with spicy notes. very unique and I have never smelled anything similar to any other perfume. Finally I found the smell of milk that suited my taste.

I only have the tester but I can easily say it’s a crowd pleaser. The description is apt, purity and mystery. One can dive deep into this scent. I noticed my new date smelling my neck on several occasions one evening. The creaminess comes off mysterious and sensual, altogether irresistible. I can see how it is versatile enough to be a signature scent for someone.

I've been wearing this in spring and summer weather ever since I got it. The reviewers who said it smells like warm chai are correct. It's a soft, milky spice scent on me. Right now I'm wearing it on a rainy summer day. Feels comforting and warm and lasts for ages. I'd say this is office safe if you underspray.

Smooth, creamy woody scent. Definitely has a lactonic character from the milk, blended nicely with the cashmere wood and cedar. There’s a good dose of warmth (and a bit of sweetness) from the amber and tonka bean. Rounded out with some spices but they’re quite subtle and not sharp. Would be great for a cozy winter day.

This smells very inoffensive and cozy to me, super unique smell, I don't have anything like this in my collection, comforting yet alluring, sweet and warm yet "fresh" in a very modern, quasi-androidish way. I tried it on today after several months of not wearing it and was surprised to see that it lasted 10 hours+ on my skin. 10/10. Completely unisex btw.

It’s kind of niche scent. The lactone note adds a creamy and milky aspect, Tonka bean and vanilla add a warm element to the fragrance. I would say it is like light version of Black Phantom. Long-lasting. The bottle is unattractive and without a cap, looks like a tester. This is disappointing, considering the quality of the fragrance inside.

I was thinking about it and this does resemble ani (nishane), i think they are so similar, i love both, i think i might like this just a millimeter more? Id say if you like ani, you would love this also, this is more creamy, where ani has a touch more zing from the ginger

This is the amber I was searching for. Its what I wanted Grand Soir, LDDM, and Ambre Sultan to be. It is sweeter than Amber Absolute (RIP) but not nearly as feminine or sweet as TF Noir or Noir Extreme (way too sweet for me). This is a perfect spicy, milky, and ambery composition. Every whiff I get I fall in love again. Thank you costume national, glad I found this!
