I have 30 fragrances. This is my cheapest one, and my girlfriends favourite out of all the 30. Insane v4m

To me after wearing it a bunch it just smells like lavender baby powder, it smells a lot like baby powder way more powdery than I expected. It’s not really that sexy or alluring whitch is something I look for and is a must have in a fragrance for me. Overall 5/10 it’s okay not bad but super cheap.

It's been said before, but it's worth saying again; this is NOT a clone of JPG Le Male! This came out 16 years prior, in 1979. Anyone who tells you it was released in the 90's or 00's is plain wrong.

This is a steal for $8 and an amazing scent at that. Bozos talking about cuba cloning JPG, NO this is the original My grandpa put me on this but its not a grandpa scent! this is defintely one id keep in the car during the colder months just to spray on whenever because you wont feel guilty with the price point.

My bottle is now 5 years old and the juice spraying out of this bottle is heavenly! Just did a big reorganization of my collection and when I sprayed this on after grabbing it from the way way back of a shelf I was literally blown away! Smooth, rich, sultry vanilla and vibrant lavender with a noticeably effervescent grapefruit and hints of pink pepper and vetiver. I can’t believe how good this smells AND performs! I think I paid 10 bucks for this and damn it might just smell better than my old bottle of Le Male!

This was suprisingly good, and longer lasting than I had expected. Dries down to clean lavender vanilla.

The only thing cheap about this is the price and the most ridiculous bottle it comes in. It smells really good on fabric when testing, but when applied especially to skin, a different scent comes out, I did give this a rave review at first, but after applying it to myself and trying to wear it, I noticed that it is less appealing. It still seems like a decent fragrance, especially for the price, but your mileage may vary.

Had this one given to me as a gift. This is an incredibly inexpensive scent, not the best by any means, but if you want something powdery on a budget, this is it.

This one I always hide. Not for gatekeepping, but because my wife would think I'm using this big boy in more ways than just spraying it. But if that was my thing, I'd definitely give it a try👀.

6.5/10 - Relatively inoffensive and dirt cheap. Performance is middling, but it should appeal to those who just want a classic, sweeter fragrance for a short outing. Considering the low price point, the performance issues can largely be overcome by heavy and frequent application. I personally don't reach for this very often, but there's nothing in particular wrong with it. That said, if you're itching for a $20-ish sweet fragrance, there are more interesting, higher-quality options.

This is suspiciously 1-1 to Le Male and this is way older than Le Male, hmmm.... Well, people have been always saying it's similar to Le Male from JPG, but I didn't think it was that similar. Trying out Le Male and comparing it to Cuba, I found out there is almost no difference. If you're comparing EDT, longevity is the same and projection is also the same. A very versatile scent, that doesn't get boring, smells sweet and has this heavy, masculine character that is really nice. EDT is making the scent appear a bit light, but I feel like that's an advantage. EDP would be a bit too much for such a scent, that's why Le Male le Parfum causes headaches and is rated usually a bit lower, Cuba knew. Anyway really nice value with this one and you save about a 100€ without lacking anything, except the designer bottle. Even the atomizer on Cuba is exactly the same, amazing quality. JPG just really made a knock-off of Cuba, charged extra 100€ and it worked out.

Sprayed Le Male on one wrist and this on the other. In the opening Le Male wins hands down. Cuba's opening is not terrible, but it's quite artificial-smelling. Le Male's opening is minty, Cuba's chemical cleaner-like. 30 minutes in, however, they start smelling really similar. Cuba's chemical opening is gone. The main difference now is that Cuba is fainter and less minty. 2h in, smell is 95% the same and stays that way until the evening shower. Longevity is similar, full workday. The next morning I smelled the two blotters they were also sprayed on, and surprisingly, they smelled very different. There was no such difference when sprayed on skin. In the end, I appreciate the smell of both, but ultimately, neither of them is for me. I think it would appeal to the younger crowd or to those of you with more youthful personalities. If you like Le Male's heart and drydown and don't mind a slightly harsh synthetic 30-minute opening of Cuba, this is amazing considering the price. I really struggled to see a difference between them in the drydown, and scent strength was pretty much the main giveaway.

Smells like a cigar lounge and lavender aftershave/cologne People say that is smells like old batches from Le Male but I am skeptical Probably the best $5-6 cologne on the market Smells nice, but the performance is absolutely horrendous, I mean for the price you can't except much, your pocket won't cry if you overspray but s#it, it smells good

$8.99US… that’s what I paid. In exchange I got 100ml of deliciously aromatic cologne. This is for the man with slicked-back hair. The guy who chews gum and calls you ‘champ’. I don’t mean any of that in a bad way. Everyone wants the comparison to le Male. I’m not the greatest nose in the hobby but they’re incredibly close. The main difference is, I get more woody notes from Cuba Gold. This is good news for an old guy like me. I’m incredibly self-conscious when I wear le Male because everyone claims it’s a young man’s “clubbing” fragrance. The woody notes (and maybe vetiver) of Cuba Gold give me just enough confidence to give myself 4 full pumps of the diffuser and wear it proudly. I give it above average performance. Informal, day or night. It may be too sharp to wear in the hottest summer heat and it may be too bold if you aren’t willing or able to walk the walk. 8.5/10

It bears repeating that this monstrosity came out in 1979 and Gaultier decided to make an overpriced dupe called Le Male that came out 16 years later. Smells exactly the same for fraction of the price, has no lasting power.

Great bang for your buck. One of the best deals out there. You will smell good, you will not spend much. A sexy scent. Not as good as 360 White though.

Анонім★★★★★

I think what upsets some about this one? It is realizing you can spend $10 or less and garner compliments. I have to wonder if there isn't a bit of scent snobbery skewing some perceptions here. Despite what others say, it's really not that linear and does have some depth. It's depth is just more shallow. I think what they mean is that it lacks the complexity of more expensive fragrances within the same scent profile. This is one of my most complimented scents and has been since the 90s when I was finding it locally for $5.99 and cheaper. All pretentions aside, it's just a very dependable fragrance for casual everyday use during the winter, fall and evening. The comparisons to Le Male aren't too far off. This is, basically, a toned down "Le Male" for older men and it's more masculine. It's soapy conservative sweetness leans more mature than the more youthful confectionary sweetness of Le Male. From my experience, it's an above average performer. But at $8-10, if you want to squeeze a bit more fuel from it, throw in an extra three or four sprays. It's not an exceptional scent. It's a very nice scent at a very nice price.

Анонім★★★★★

It smells nice, mostly lavender and a bit of vanilla, but the projection is really bad, even for the money.

Анонім★★★★★

I really wanted to like this fragrance, but after 7 months of owning it, I've accepted that it's just not that good. The opening is a harsh blast of lavender; the drydown is a bit better and smells closer to Le Male, but it's just too synthetic smelling for my taste. Longevity isn’t much better either. If you want a cheap Le Male clone I'd recommend Perry Ellis 360° White, or Lattafa Ramz Silver if you want a good cheapie with some of the Le Male DNA. I understand Cuba Gold is only $8 but you can get so much better for a just a bit more money. 5/10

Female review - never tried Le Male but this is a really good dupe for the now sadly discontinued Bvlgari Black. Smells a lot more expensive and niche than it is. It radiates through the note profile pretty accurately through the pink pepper and vetiver to amber. The only down side is that it doesn't last long on the skin so you will need to reapply every couple of hours. Lasts longer on clothes.

Анонім★★★★★

Smells synthetic and only slightly close to Le male EDT. There's no layering, it's one note and you get nose blind to it easily. The drydown is rancid and the opening is only slightly better. Not worth my 8 bucks paid. Don't waste your money, save up for Le Male instead.

This perfume is worth buying not just fir show, but for wearing it as well. The scent is so good, it has a good formula that girls love. Of course,Le Male has a better one in its base, but consider this perfume to be a copy of it.

A powdery, semi sweet, and a little bit musky cigar tobacco scent. It is dry, light and airy, delicate yet masculine, and clean without being soapy. Somewhere in the middle of JPG Le Male and Prada LR Sport. If you like either of those, or anything relatively close, then you’ll at least be satisfied with this. CUBA GOLD has quickly become a favorite of mine. With what it cost, you can go nuts and spray this everywhere on everything without any hesitation. I think it would be hard to overspray. There’s zero heaviness to it. Minimal projection, but you’ll smell it on yourself for most of the day. Sticks to fabric extremely well.

Анонім★★★★★

Its manlier than le male, i compare them right now on different hands side by side, this one leans manlier while the original le male yet so close to this its also so far away, the original le male its much more floral, like a fantasy lavender sweetened by vanilla while cuba gold is a touch woody, manly i dont know how to describe it but its a very good alternative to le male and i understand why many people agrees even tho the le male is more feminine, its on the edge of a man's perfume actually, i think it intrigues women cause its basically a lavender field with a touch of vanilla, comforting and floral

Анонім★★★★★

Love the smell. Wish it lasted longer. But for the price, a good initial 15 sprays for sillage and a few sprays every 2-3 hrs. Get compliments every time I wear it. I'll probably always keep a bottle in the collection.

Анонім★★★★★

The best bang for buck EDT out there.I think every cologne collector should have this. It's the first cologne I consistently bought as a teenager and still buy it 20 years later. People compare it to le male but I have tried all versions of it and think it's similar but not a clone....I'll have to keep trying and experiment with the dry down. if I could find a high quality EDP of this I would buy it. It's very hard to describe the smell but the lavender blends beautifully with everything else, it's sweet but still has a masculine smoothness.

Анонім★★★★★

A very inexpensive copycat of Le mâle by JPG. Smells good, not as good as le mâle IMO, a bit mor esynthetic and doesn't last as long, but this is great quality for the price, I mean, come on, this is like 10% of the price of the original.

Анонім★★★★★

Smells like a Cuba fragrance. If you come across a cuba fragrance before, you know what this smells like.

Анонім★★★★★

This is a great fragrance. Opens with a strong lavender and dries down to a leathery masculine vanilla. It is "darker" and sexier than Perry Ellis 360 white in my view (although 360 white is better for warmer weather). If you want to try something similar to Le Male, I think try this first.. I blind bought it and happy I did for $10. The bottle itself is pretty cool too.

Анонім★★★★★

Great stuff. It’s dirt cheap, so stop being a nerd, buy a bottle and make up your own mind. Yeah it’s a bit screechy and synthetic but so are a lot of fragrances many times more expensive than this. IMO 360 White is the best Le Male “dupe” for the money, but this here is a very close second.
