This is a very floral fruity fragrances. It’s fresh. I enjoy it. Longevity and projection are moderate.

this used to be one of my signature scents as a 16/17 year old in the 2010s... now it gives me a migraine :( still love the idea of it though.

Smells like if a really really rich person getting out of the shower lol. The first time I smelled this I immediately thought of the word elegant but I really didn’t like it the first time I wore it. I thought it was too strong and mature and although I still think that I actually think it’s a really pretty perfume and I like it a lot paired with a very sweet vanilla scent. I’m not into florals at all but it’s done so balanced that I don’t hate it. To me it’s sweet but in a sexy sophisticated way and I get a really fancy shampoo scent. I got a mini of this and I wouldn’t buy the full bottle just because I’m into really sweet girly perfumes but it’s a lovely one. Nice clean elegant but still not for me. But omg does this last, I wore it all day and took a shower at the end of the day and I could still smell it.

Very elegant and refined, a safe choice for date nights, special occasions or autumn/winter wardrobe. Had several bottles throughout the years and would repurchase again.

The One is my favourite honeyed warm weather floral of all time. I've never smelled anything more Italian in my life.

This is one of my OG favorite signature scents that I will always keep in my collection. I’m 34 and I don’t feel like this gives “old lady” rather “old money”. I wouldn’t say that this is for a younger audience unless you have a particular/mature taste. On my skin it’s a sexy, classy and intoxicating fruity musk that lasts for days on clothes. Would definitely sample this on skin first before committing to full size bc it’s not for everyone. Love this classic!

I usually prefer oriental fragrances, but I don't like scents with overly fruity or floral notes. This is exactly the best perfume to choose in that situation. When you spray it, you feel like Jasmine from the movie Aladdin's Magic Lamp. There's a slight mandarin scent that stings, and then it continues as an incredibly perfume.

This perfume is the closest to my heart and my absolute favorite. I’ll be honest with you—it’s not particularly unique, and its scent leans a bit old-fashioned. There are many perfumes out there that are more beautiful and more refined. But it is truly different. There’s something about it that captivates you and makes you smile instantly. The scent of The One makes me happy; I feel a strong connection to it, as if it’s tied to my soul—like this fragrance is telling me, this is you. I’ve tried many, many perfumes, but this one is definitely my favorite. Very feminine, and its performance and projection are amazing—I can still smell it the next day! To everyone who cherishes The One… I love you 😔❤️

I liked this at first. Kind of spicy/ginger. I didn't like it as much after the top notes faded.

One of the first fragrances I loved from Dolce, honestly this is may be my favorite till this day but I haven’t smell it since 20 years.

It's surprising to me this is listed and regarded as peach forward as it is, I get way more mandarin from The One! The initial spray is a bit boozy and fruity, but on the drydown I get powder, amber, heavy florals, and the vetiver. It's not particularly bad, very mature and balanced, but also pretty overdone at this point in time, so I imagine it's not as groundbreaking to everyone's noses as it once was. I do not get any lactonic creaminess or marshmallow whatsoever as others have claimed, it's primarily warm vanilla amber and musk to me with the faded fruits from the initial spray. Sillage and longevity is standard, and it honestly reminds me of VS Bare, but I'd argue that one does the mandarin notes better. Decent if you're into these iconic department store staples but I'm lucky I got a sample because some people are lyyyyinggg about "creamy peach yogurt"... lol what.

This is gorgeous. The fruit and floral notes are perfectly blended, with the peach and litchi offering something unique in the opening. The florals are soft and the vanilla adds a sweet, comforting undertone. It’s not too juvenile, not too mature, and could be worn any time of day and in almost any season - signature scent worthy!

I am SO mad I blind-bought this! If anyone wants to buy my 30ml of this, I'm all for selling it because it's an insta-migrane inducing, nauseating scent that I never want to smell again :( It reminds me of the perfume section of a department store back when they used to have people out there just spraying anyone and everyone as they walked by and the entire area smelled like every scent combined and you would hold your breath and try to get through it as fast as possible. It's like they literally bottled that scent... that horrible, you can still taste it hours later, scent! I thankfully only sprayed it on a tester strip and I almost gagged. I have 100's of perfumes & a very sensitive but open nose when it comes to perfumes and I just can't. I tried letting it settle down and going back to it as I know initial sprays can be harsh, cloying and deceiving... But it got WORSE! The heavy floral/rose intensified and there is nothing else coming through! Where are all the notes that are supposed to be there? I get none of those beautiful top notes listed only mid notes all the way through... no vanilla. Just floral musk!

This is probably my all time favorite scent - everything else I wear and love is based on this one. I find it to be the ideal combination of fruity and floral without smelling too "young". The vanilla, amber, and musk base notes last on my skin all day, but the scent is refreshed by its fruity top notes. In a way, the vanilla and amber ground the citrus and florals, which themselves help brighten the base notes. Definitely a repeat buy for me, I think I've gone through at least six bottles in the last few years. If you're looking for a stronger vanilla or a stronger citrus, this fragrance might not be for you - the notes interact more than they stand out individually.

There's this insistent sharp peppery note at the top of this scent which makes my head feel like grinding stone. Unfortunately for me, the perfume is fairly long-lasting, which could be a pro for people who don't pick up on that note. I applied it four hours ago and my eyes are still watering. If I take a deep sniff close to the skin where I applied it I pick up on a really nice warm vanilla which is a shame.

If you are looking for a dupe, try Gourmand Addiction from Mango. It's not yet on Fragantica but you can find the notes on Mango's website or simply try it at one of their stores. I got 80ml for 30 euros.

The one and sexy amber are my two everyday scent.. I love sexy amber a little bit more though. This perfume dry down is so sensual, soft, feminine and delicate.. ooh I’m in love! It doesn’t last more than 2 to 3 hours on me. I wish it did. A summer scent which is inoffensive and also can be an office friendly wear. Edit: after 6 months of owning this, I’m here to say that I used to like it but don’t like it anymore. There’s sth about white florals that overstimulates my senses and makes me nauseous 🤮

I absolutely adore this fragrance! I purchased it many many years ago for my bestie. She had asked for it for her birthday. She is a tall, statuesque blond who is always dressed elegantly and usually wears her hair pulled back in a perfect low ponytail. She always wears understated clothing, makeup and fragrance. It was beautiful on her. I can’t say I ever knew it was her fragrance, let alone the one I had purchased for her. I actually ordered it and never smelled it. She probably sprayed it when she opened it, but I am sure I had a couple martinis 🍸 and didn’t notice. 🤭 I just knew she always smelled soft and clean, and elegant. She wore this fragrance, it didn’t wear her. I recently purchased it for my collection and boy, it smells like her! It’s like she’s in my closet with me! I love it! It’s not her signature scent anymore. I bought her bal d’afrique for her birthday last year! But it makes me think of her which is great because we now live in different states! The Lilly and Lilly of the valley combo is just absolutely stunning!! I adore it and will always keep it in my collection! I think it shines best in spring and early fall, but can definitely be worn all year!

I owned The One a little more than a decade ago, in my late twenties, and enjoyed wearing it. Unfortunately I sold it, along with the majority of my formerly large perfume collection, when I thought I was done wearing fragrances. (Let this serve as a lesson to you- don't declutter something that was once a major, long running hobby without waiting a few years. We all go through phases. 😬) Anyway, this is one I'm currently trying to repurchase. I remember it made me feel expensive, feminine, ladylike. Alluring in a completely appropriate way. An initial citrusy-peach blast that dries down into creamy white florals. It was a relief from the cloying berry notes that are typically used in most fruity florals. Works for daytime or nighttime, and most seasons except the dog days of summer. Once my new bottle arrives, I will update if my impression has changed.

I really, really want to love this. On paper, the notes are all ones I’d love. But that first smell… my nose is actually in pain. All I’m getting is sunscreen… I think? I don’t know. These notes on my skin mix together to form the most blinding and offensive solar note that just blocks out everything else and I’m so disappointed. I might try spraying this just on my clothes and not on my skin to see if I have better luck. I’m sure other people can find a lot to love about the fragrance- I’d just say test it on your skin first and def do not blind buy.

My nose is what it is, so take it with a grain of salt, but I own Chanel No. 5, and you'd be hard-pressed to convince me these are not sister fragrances. To my nose, there is no sense in owning both. You would be doubling up. Yes, she's long-lasting, and the dry down is lovely and powdery and vaguely floral; the inevitable skin scent is comforting. She's not quite in the Little Black Dress category. More like a woman in a white tweed dress with gold heels and pearls. She's neat as a pin and commands attention. When you get to know her, you realize she's soft, and her smile does reach her eyes.
