DKNY Delicious Night

i only recently started getting into perfumes and have been searching for a signature scent (albeit without knowing exactly what works with my chemistry and what i love vs hate), looking for something fruity and dark. after hours of looking for an affordable scent that kinda fits that vibe, i think this one really works, especially as my first intentional buy! it's not as fruity as i think i was hoping for, but it's still very pleasant and i'd prefer that over being too fruity anyway. really starting to grow on me, even though i'm not sure if it's "the one" edit - after a few weeks of consistently wearing it, i'm absolutely in love. the fruitiness definitely comes out, though some times you have to search for it, and it blends perfectly with everything else. ugh so obsessed

Dark, syrupy floral. So nice smelling! Definitely a night time fragrance! Slightly powdery!

sexiest woman perfume ever sooo sad its discontinued, its like a drug to my nostrils woody yet fresh with the iris (one of my favs) and on top you get all the fuity almost spicy because of the ginger goodness… def like a 2010 club perfume to go hook up im in love

I like this perfume. Almost a cross between the OG be delicious with a midnight poison kind of vibe. BlackBerry, patchouli, incense and a little of the white florals hanging in the background on my skin. Definitely wearing well over 3.5 hours with one spray on my wrist and it hasn’t budged. The longevity is there, at least for me. I’m not really a fan of freesia or heavy patchouli but it’s beautifully blended and gives a grown up, dark, mysterious elevated femme fatale vibe. Think- forbidden apple that you know you shouldn’t bite into - but you can’t help yourself..so you bite it anyway.

When I first got this, it was a dislike. This perfume felt like a scam 😅 I was confused with how the notes were developing. Suffice to say, non-linear scents scare me at that time. Funny how my preference has changed because I like this now. I would liken this perfume to a siren. It will lure you with its fresh, bright, and juicy opening that lingers for awhile. Fun and youthful. Attractive. Then comes the florals, still fresh and blends well with the berries but grounds them a bit. While in the background, the smokey notes are quite subtle but are noticeable. Like being captivated with a siren's song then feeling like it's a trap yet you'd still jump from your boat. At last, the freshness fades away and you are left with that deep amber and earthiness. (This put me off back then 🤣) The siren's got you now. There's no escape. To me, this is a unisex frag. Sexy. Edgy. Wish it's easier to find like the rest of the Be Delicious line. I'm saving my only bottle and looking for an alternative

Are you in need of a witchy perfume? This is it. I can't get enough of this. I'm excited that fall is coming so I'm getting ready, and I'm wearing this early. Based on my own preferences I don't always care about seasons when it comes to perfume, it's usually my skin that tells me what season Im able to wear something. I don't like it when something turns metalic in my sweat and heat. This tends to run a little strong when it comes to that blackberry note, but I don't mind because I'm always eating wild blackberries off the vine when I'm paddle boarding on the river. Its a really distinct memory. But it also brings me to lighting my first incense stick in my teenage years, and going to bars singing on stage, I sang originals. I definitely think that if I knew of this scent, that I would have been able to have even more power and confidence. I love how unisex this is, I dislike that it's hard to find. It's one of their best fragrances. This was a total blind buy and knowing how much I love these notes it was perfect. It makes me think of the Forest by my small town home. There were always little houses with firesmoke near by, where I'd walk my path smoking a joint and listening to a good playlist. It hits close to home.

If you're a fresh-and-clean person who sometimes longs to wear sultry, smoky scents -- but most of what's out there seems too TOO -- this is one you might think about. For me, most scents with "incense" as a note appeal are a migraine in a bottle, but this one is so soft and subtle. I really love it. The blackberry freshness at the beginning really sticks around and tempers the heavier (for me) base notes.

@shenamedel - I couldn't agree more, beautifully said! This is soft, comforting, sexy in a warm way. It's like a loving mother's embrace to all the other fruity screechy flankers for young girls. LOVE this one, and only this one.

Imho, the martini note & the frosted pomelo note both temper DKNY Delicious Night into a dark plum cocktail like scent that is smooth & quiet, rather than bright. Like a liqueur that you sip slowly to savor it. Rather than a fruity cocktail that is bright & playful. This is not that. Delicious Night is more direct & steady & calm in its' presence.

This is a beautiful smoky, subtle patch, blackberry fragrance. The bottle is irritating and the longevity could be better. Silage moderate. This is that fragrance you put WAY too much of on in a FTW mood going somewhere in the evening, and whatever your reasons for being In A Mood, within 20” or so you’re calming down. Even though you put too much on, it refuses to blast and you are just wrapped in lightly smoky blackberry wafts. It has a little of the vibe of Bijan Wicked; maybe L’Artisan’s Mure and Musc but mixed with Donna Karan Black Cashmere or Bvlgari Black or something else punk and dark. Except it is still beautiful, with elegance. If Susan Sarandon or current Pamela Anderson were a perfume.

vampy spice with almost a fresh shampoo-like tinge to it (the citrus?). clean without being soapy. still manages to pull off the darkness well on me: ginger and berry come through, but the florals don't really seem to. the patchouli is floating around in the background.

Save your money, not worth buying. Lalique has better berry fragrances than this.

DKNY Delicious Night smells like a tangy blackberry cocktail. They smell different, but the overall impression to me is like if Midnight Fantasy grew up and started wearing burgundy lipstick and fishnets to smoky bars. It’s a pleasant forest berries perfume but it’s missing something…I think my main complaint is that it doesn’t smell as though it’s composed of quality ingredients, kind of cheap smelling.

I used to have this in my early 20s, it was a great night time scent, very different from the other stuff available at the time. It was such a dark fairy scent, it brought to mind the enchanted woods on a cold spring night, blackberry shrubs, and forest nymphs dancing around a bonfire under the full moon, feasting on blackberries and getting drunk on blackberry wine. Very atmospheric, and the myrhh gave it a magical touch. A guy I was seeing at the time loved it so much that I gave him my bottle, and honestly, it smelled even better on him than it ever did on me. Totally unisex imo.

So I bought this blind off eBay at a good price (prices both on and off eBay are extortionate). I’m not sure I like it yet, I’m trying to decide. I can smell the blackberry, and a smokey incense holding it up, but that’s about it. It reminds me of a weak Poison. I’m not a fan of DKNY usually, they smell a bit cheap. However, this one isn’t too bad. I’ll have to go away and decide what I think, as sometimes I go back to a scent and it smells completely different. Oh and it’s not that strong on my skin, I could wear it at the office and probably be anosmic to it. Hate the bottle & sprayer.

This is what I imagine a classy vampire from the 1920s smells like. I’m not sure how else to describe it. It’s got glamor, but not overbearingly so. It’s a moody, sultry night scent (as one can assume from the name, I guess, but you never know) with a twinge of sadness. Calling a perfume with the word “night” in the name sexy might be redundant but I’m gonna say it anyway, it’s sexy and mysterious. There are hints of a more soft vintage perfume in there, but it’s eclipsed by bold early 2000’s fruit, just not in an expected overly sweet way. It smells like it’s of the earth. To my nose, nothing reads as synthetic at all. The blackberry is gorgeous. The incense and the myrrh are haunting. None of the notes fight with each other, and everything settles into my skin beautifully. Drydown is slightly similar to Velvet Orchid in my opinion but without that kind of distractingly screechy citrus note that shows up in VO after a few hours. This after a few hours still smells warm and smoky. I so wish it wasn’t discontinued.

Used to be dirt cheap because it's dirt cheap quality. Smells like a pretty good Midnight Poison dupe albeit far less refined, a touch more masculine and fruitier than genuine Midnight Poison. Extortionate prices on eBay these days for this and the quality is just not there.

Absolute Love! I thought I'd never have the chance to own this again without having to pay ridiculous prices. My first was a 30ml. Then I picked up a 50ml for $20 (a used tester) and I have been treating the remaining 20ml like a baby. Until I found a website here in Australia that were selling 50ml for $140 - Instant add to cart! The juice is everlasting. By name it's a night fragrance and I certainly agree with that. Although any fragrance can be worn at any time. I do not like ginger - but the ginger in this is not a typical ginger smell to me. It's definitely there and contributes to the opening, mid and base, but its so well blended I can't identify it individually. I think Be Delicious Night is rather Linear. That does not bother me at all.

I'm kicking myself for never having saved my bottle! This launched the year I turned 25. My then bf's mom gifted this after she knew I liked the OG Be Delicious. It's NY club girl circa 2008 and I love it. I was always complimented when wearing it.

I owned this back when it first came out in 2008; I was a a sophomore in college. When I heard this was being discontinued, I immediately picked up a 100 ml bottle. I love it just as much as I did several years ago. A beautiful blackberry, ginger and incense concoction. It’s unique and dark, but in a very approachable way! Love it.

Since trying to cull my perfume buying addiction (🙄🤞😔) I've been attempting to satisfy my desire by scouting for "cheap" scents via eBay, trying to get some bargains. But, lemme tell ya.... the people on there are nothing more than pickpockets, scoundrels and common thieves. Of the last 4 purchases I made, 3 scents were GONE OFF and 1 was FAKE. I'm really no fool and I'm generally pretty savvy when it comes to fragrance shopping, but I'm po'. eBay has gone so far downhill it's no longer a viable source for perfumes, as most purchases turn out to be, simply put, mistakes. Lost money. Money down the drain. Got this one in a set of scents (no bottle sizes were shown/noted/indicated, though it was implied that each was over 50ml) which were brazenly described as being "all OVER half full". The set comprised 6 scents. Only 2 of them were more than half full. (were photographed to conceal their sizes and fill levels.) Of the two that were indeed more than half full, one of the two was gone off. This one, I presume, smells as it is meant to. It is a 30ml bottle and it has LESS than 15ml in it. It has about a quarter left in there. F@rking ridiculous. Anyway, smells pretty good. Though the amount I have is worthless, useless. I actually missed out a whole bunch of times when this was going for around £10 to £12 for the largest size, so this piddling little amount that was falsely advertised to me as a bigger bottle and more than half full.... well, that irks me something rotten. Because it does smell good. It is comparable to Midnight Poison, which I hadn't expected, though I do see some votes above. It is slightly more alcoholic, cheaper smelling, a touch more masculine, but this could have been a great dupe for Midnight Poison if you could (🙄😭) get the largest bottle at less than £12. Egads..... 🤦 Certainly paid more than £12 for the box of tatty unusable scents I just received from some scummy a$$ money grubbing piece of toilet tish. Thanks for nothing, AGAIN, eBay. Apologies. Not much of a review. Relatively good dupe for the Midnight Poison. If you can get it dirt cheap. Which ya can't. Whoever took my singular, solitary balloon. How very... 🙄 Gained another, lost another. Does your superiority keep you up at night?

It’s a shame that I slept on this perfume, I hated it when I first received it as a gift then one night in a rush I sprayed this all over without thinking and It was the best decision ever. I remember finding out this was discontinued and oh how my heart dropped! This was one of the most complimented fragrances I’ve ever worn. It’s so sexy, the scent trail draws people in. I just swoon thinking about the nights me and my girls used to step out and compliments were steady like picking fruit during a good harvest. Amazing!

Check online sites for it. That is where I was able to get mine from, in 2020. But I have needed to layer it with another scent so that it lasts longer and has more strength to it. In a nutshell DKNY Delicious Night is a Blackberry Fruitchouli with tartness rounded & smoothed out by myrrh & insense. This has presence & is a very satisfying fragrance bubble to be in. I wear it during day & evening & throughout the year.

So sad this is discontinued. One of the first perfumes I bought and my old empty bottle* still smells like it's brand new. This is a beast mode, leather jacket and a nightclub type of fragrance.

I just picked up montale dark purple, a blind buy since there are no testers for montale where i live. It immediately evoked a memory of something, and then it hot me- that purple insence smalling dk perfume i used to have back in 2009-2010. I remember it really had like a clubbing vibe to it, really sexy and intense, but too strong and heady for me

I really wish this wouldn’t have been discontinued, it is such a delicious blackberry fragrance. It actually smells very similar to the dry down of Velvet Orchid by Tom Ford. It projects well and lasts a long time. I love wearing this at night time any time of the year!

I'm looking for my perfect balsamic dark berry scent right now. Sounds easy enough, but there aren't that many actually. So far Delicious Nights comes closest to what I want. It's not quite there, but I like it. Blackberry, ginger and the grapefruit-like pomelo make the opening quite zingy and fresh, but patchouli, amber and myrrh already shine through to give the fragrance warmth and depth. I don't get incense as in smoke, only warm resins. Later on I smell a lot of jasmine and musk beneath the berries and citrus. There is no musk listed and I was very relieved to read that some other reviewers find this musky too, because I get so much musk here. It's the sultry kind, not the clean or fluffy type of musk. I find it a bit unharmonic together with patchouli and the tart fruit notes. I would have loved this perfume if they had amped up the amber and balsam notes instead of musk. This stands out from the other DKNY apples. It's truly a nighttime scent that would be most fitting for parties and bars. I prefer it to most of them, except for Be Tempted.

A wonderful discovery for me in 2017. I used to wear strictly 'just for men' colognes. When l started to have an adventurous nose l searched for masculine smelling fragrances even if they are labelled as 'for women'. I used DKNY Delicious and Delicious Red for Men before. This was recommended by male and female friends as well as SA's from fragrance counters. I was definitely impressed by its scent profile. This is masculine dark and sweet. Not quite feminine and girly. No wonder some female reviewers are a bit turned off from this edp. I loved it immediately upon first test. I got four big bottles. Fabulous, classy and unique for a man to wear in the 2000's. I will have this permanently in my wardrobe. Amazing cologne!
