I’m interested in buying a bottle if anyone happens to have one - this was my signature scent when I was 17 :)
It's more seductive than Incredible Me less spicy more lactonic and with a hint of green that mixes with the warmth it exudes to add some lightness to it. A wonderful fragrance a soft blend around florals custard cacao coffee clementine. I have all the range Absolutely Incredible & Desire me. It took a while to find them all as they are discontinued and thankfully I noticed that Escada perfumes get even better with time unlike others. It reflects the way they are crafted with care. I really like this line very unique to change also from the summer editions. The bottles are so pretty and evocative of the Original Escada soul.
Desire Me is more fresh than Incredible Me when you first spray it but dries down very similar. Elegant, womanly, sweet.
Best fruty chocolate fragrance ever 🥰🥰🥰
Desire Me opens so green, so very green, that my tongue actually tastes hairspray, and I'm waiting to detect something, anything that is sweet or delectable or gourmand. No citrus yet behind this, nor coffee nor chocolate, nothing golden or orange, syrupy or custardy, nothing soft or remotely sweet. Just a bitter, soapy green, on my tongue as much as in my nose. (Sometimes I forget what the distinction is between the tastes of "sour" and "bitter", but this perfume is a useful reminder.) After ten minutes, I'm still waiting patiently, and I'm still tasting green whilst smelling it. After an hour there is the faintest whiff of chocolate, I think, underneath the ever present green. I can't be sure. I really wanted a delicious sweet, custardy chocolate, coffee treat here, but it isn't there at all. And the hour long dive through a pile of lawn clippings to search for a crumb of chocolate just isn't worth it. Perhaps my bottle which I bought used has gone off, or perhaps my nose has. I'd like to sniff a different bottle one day to see if it's just my bottle that has failed. But this scent isn't remotely what I hoped for.
My imagination: I’m sitting in an Italian café located in a citrus garden with lots of citrus 🍊 juice, cappuccino and tiramisu being served. You can taste the sweet savoiardi biscuits dipped in strong espresso and layered with a fluffy mascarpone custard and sprinkled with cocoa powder. It heavenly melts on your tongue. The facts: a sweet and juicy mandarin opening; delightful and promising. However it is soon reduced to a very soft gourmand. It is pleasant; very sweet and creamy, but no coffee or chocolate for me🥲. Not the tiramisu of my dreams 😞 and is a skin scent of low-average longevity. This had a lot of potential but in my opinion it didn’t live up to it.
It seems that many don’t like this fragrance but I absolutely love it! It’s delicious and sweet but still there is the hint of freshness from the flowers and fruit. I have been hoping to find a fragrance like this for years and finally I found a packet of two roller balls. I might just buy another one before they are gone for good. I can’t believe I never considered it when it was new.. better late than never!
I really wanted to love this. I just can't vibe with how "green" this fragrance is when I wanted a 80%+ gourmand with a touch of fruit and flowers. It's not as sweet as I expected either. The drydown is indeed much better than the initial spray, but I am disappointed. If such a fragrance existed with the bottom notes only, that could be really vibrant and special. I would love a tiramisu type of scent.
I really don't understand the negative reviews for this fragrance. Mind you - this scent is not overly unique or groundbreaking, but it is girly and sweet. There is a note in the scent that smells kind of like basil if I press my nose to my skin, but it does not come off in the sillage. Desire Me is a soft and creamy custard, feminine and sweet. There is a plastic-candy aspect to the sweetness, but it is inoffensive and only noticeable for the first few minutes. The chocolate is there, but not in a strong dark chocolate way...more of like a milk chocolate. There is almost a smell of makeup in Desire Me...like a MAC lipstick. It does not radiate very far, it sits very close to the skin. The bottle is cute and I appreciate how easy it is to hold. The sillage is the crown jewel of this scent; for some odd reason the scent on the skin does not reflect the sillage of Desire Me in any form. It actually smells kind of rancid on the skin in the first 10 minutes of wear, but from a distance it radiates a very yummy coffee dessert with a plastic candy twist. Sounds weird, and it is... But it's a really cute scent, trust me. I am very picky when it comes to fragrance. Once Desire Me settles into the warmth of the skin after about 10 minutes, this is where the scent shines. The cream, the coffee, the peony, orchid and custard create an absolutely yummy scent that is addicting. It's a very soft gourmand, a welcomed change to my collection of heavy orientals and dark gourmands. Don't be scared off by the first spray or the first few minutes of Desire Me, it's worth the wait. Edit: after wearing this fragrance for a couple of days I can say that this is a win for me. As mentioned before, you will have to wait for the scent to dry down as the initial spritz can be overwhelming, but once it dries down it's basically what I thought Britney Spears' Private Show was going to smell like - candy sweet, yummy caffeine and cream notes, shaved chocolate and a slight pink floral pop. It smells so good! Think of sitting in a coffee shop, drinking a macchiato and eating tiramisu, there's a vase of flowers on the table...peonies, orchids, honeysuckle and some green branches. Infront of you sits a charming bowl of tutti frutti sweets. It's super cute, creamy, feminine and powdery.
This fragrance is so off on what I thought it was going to smell like that I thought I purchased a knockoff. I see that I am not alone reading the reviews here. It does smell golden-y and is rather syrupy in its character, but I cannot for the life of me pickup any coffee, custard, or chocolate in it. I do pickup the candied gummys, cheap chemical smelling citruses, and some florals. It smells like a shampoo to me-a very 90s smelling shampoo that would waft from the very long tresses of a pretty girl. Update: the custard and chocolate come out ...a bit... at the very very very end smelling milk chocolatey but just barely.
it reminds me YS Black Opium.
Sometimes I swear these perfume companies make up the notes in the notes pyramid. This just smells like a generic golden-colored perfume that would have come out in the 70s or 80s and is worn by women in their 40s and 50s. It's powdery and balsamic.
Fragrance Notes Top Notes Mandarin, Citruses Heart Notes Honeysuckle, Orchid, Peony Base Notes Biscuit, Coffee, Mascarpone, Chocolate A very rich fragrance, chocolate is very present, sweets too, I get the candy sweet notes which come off as caramel and licorice, the coffee is there and the creamy gourmand notes. Underneath is green freshness, citruses and powdery pink flowers of peony, overall it is a great scent, ideal for chocolate lovers, sweet lovers, gourmand lovers. The chocolate, candy, coffee accord is very delicious, its deep and lovely, so many positive, romantic, sexy feelings come to mind. It is a feel-good scent, uplifting, romantic, I feel as if my lovers have given me sweets and chocolates as if I am loved. Whoever does not sense the chocolate is not really smelling or has received a dupe, this is cocoa goodness, coffee and creamy cake. I truly love this scent, really love it. It reminds me of a sweet body spray named Amber romance by victorias secret, creamy sweet, but Desire me has chocolates, and coffee. The pink flowers are fragrant, pleasant and powdery adding depth. The citruses, green notes add freshness and complete the scent. Indeed, the green notes and flowers prevent this from being a cloying, sweet gourmand, but whole, and free with flowers and goodies on a table. Lots of candies, caramel, licorice, chocolate, coffee, cream, pink flowers, green leaves and citrus juice. It is truly a delicious, lovely, sweet, romantic, sexy scent, love it so much.
Hi LisIrishFleur, I compared incredible me and desire me. To my nose, desire me is fresher and lighter because of the honeysuckle and the green notes. I prefer it over Incredible me that is more a sweet (but not over sweet) skin scent. Overall, they will end up similar because the base is the same. Absolutely me is very different. It is a fruity-powdery scent. I smell raspberry and vanilla.
Which has the stronger Cacao note? Desire Me or Incredible Me? Also, which one is more floral? Any know? Thanx In Adance Fellow Fragranticans!
I don't usually like Escada, and I don't usually like peony. Something about this one though, keeps calling me back for more! I've been on a gourmand kick lately and I would call Desire Me a "light floral gourmand". I picture a fluffy layer cake with vanilla custard between the layers and frosted with a very light sweet citrusy cream. Pink peonies decorate the top and all of those scents combine to just make me inhale and sigh!! I don't smell any coffee or chocolate, maybe hints wayyyyyy in the background. Stays pretty linear on me, & just fades. I find it very comforting and very work appropriate (I work around food).
This was a yummy one I had. Between Incredible me, Absolutely me and Desire me, this one was the best imo. A warm weather friendly gourmand. Great for all year round. Well, it's not exactly gourmand, but a fruity-floral with green, citrus and cozy gourmand nuances (think vanilla muffins, chocolate chip cookies, caramel latte). It's so pretty and easy to wear. Not heavy/cloying, not too sugary, not too 'young'. The citrus, green and floral notes keeps the scent clean and abit fresh, the sweet foody notes come out a little later and they are warm and inviting. Good for day to day wear, casual nights and it's office appropriate too. Sillage and longevity was moderate on me. I wore this one alot years ago and got quite a few compliments. I did eventually get bored of it, but it was a good one to have for those days when I wanted to smell low-key 'nice' and abit edible. Not a 'love', but a solid 'like', I wouldn't mind having it again.
I don't smell chocolate, coffee, custard, or any other sweet notes. Disappointed it is mostly a fruity floral, not unique either.
I already own escada absolutely me and although I don't love it,I sometimes use it and like it.just by seeing these notes I knew that I need desire me or incredible me.there are lots of gourmand notes and I imagined something very sweet, delicious and foody.however reading lots of negative reviews scared me,and I didn't know which one to choose, desire or incredible, because both of them have similar gourmand notes.I've not seen any of them in shops for almost a year so when I saw desire me in our local perfume shop I felt it's the only chance to try it.I also tried rihanna rebelle and mont blanc femme and unfortunately I mixed them.finally I choose desire me just by chance and only because it's difficult to find.all I remembered from it's smell in shop was something very sharp, soapy with with non descript notes as soon as I sprayed it at home, all I could smell was that soapy nonesence with no notes, just something cold, non sweet and soapy.after couple of minutes sharpness calmed down and a pretty whisper of citruses, mostly clemantine approached me from far away.I'm not a citrus fan but I liked it here.maybe because it was better than that sharp non perfumy odor. When citruses settled,I could get a sharp floral, peony and a faint hint of green notes. My biggest worry before trying it were green notes which I mostly dislike.I was afraid of something herbal, grassy or sour.but actually green notes are very very faint and likable here.they're just a green, fresh feeling, mostly like tea and blend nicely with citruses.after less than half an hour gourmand notes came outside shadow.I can easily detect cocoa and a hint of coffee, overall scent is warmer and sweeter but all in all it's very different from my imaginations.it's sweetness is very mild and I can't name this a gourmand.it's a clean floral with some cocoa, coffee chocolate freshened by a very faint whisper of citrus tea.it's a safe, office friendly and unique scent.there's nothing to dislike here but it's also a big dissapointment for sweet gourmand lovers.there's also nothing childish here and I thing it's a better choice for mature ladies not young girls.although it's unique and I can't think of anything similar it can't make statement specially because it's not strong as time passes I can feel something warm and chocolatey wrapping orchid and turning desire me to a pleasant early autumn scent.I'm not sad from buying it but I would be happy if it was cheaper(50 bucks for 2.5 oz) I'm going to layer it with montale chocolate greedy, which is a very foody cocoa chocolate, coffee scent.I think desire me can turn it to something less foody, more feminine and safer.I think they can be great couples If you're expecting something very sweet and yummy try it first and make sure to give it some time, because gourmand notes show up in drydown but if your looking for something with a gourmand vibe which isn't foody or too sweet and has a clean and fresh undertone it would be a safe choice.it has nothing in common with absolutely me,the other perfume in trio and it's more mature and a tad less sweet.I wish to know about incredible me and know that wether it's sweeter and more gourmand or not I don't agree that it's cheap smelling,on the contrary it's a balanced fragrance of orchid, other florals, dark chocolate and fresh notes.sillage isn't huge but after an hour I feel it's nice drydown is growing stronger in sillage and keeps it's moderate sillage for the other two hours ❤️❤️❤️ Edit:ok,I have to change my rating from "meh" to like.it doesn't satisfy me when I'm craving for something sweet but it's a very good daily fragrance for these autumn days.this is one of few escada s that aren't childish and are well balanced.I know it's gonna be one of rare perfumes that I use and empty it soon.it has a comforting warmness and fresh cleanness the same time ❤❤❤❤
Chocolate? Coffee? Custard? Really? I'm sad to say that this is a vaguely nauseating fruity floral mess on me. Skin chemistry, probably. Bummer.
Opens with a good hit of chocolate then quickly morphs to jasmine, honeysuckle and peony. It is warm and golden deep floral with good projection and sillage, with around 7-8 hours longevity. I think it is a good alternative to J'Adore for those who like a radiant jasmine with a dash of chocolate.
Got this in a swap. Having previously owned Absolutely Me, I knew it would be generically sweet and nondescript. Part of me expected to be utterly disappointed as I was with the Absolutely Me. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I love it! It isn't the rich coffee-chocolate scent I hoped for, but I hadn't expected much. Instead is a creamy milk chocolate bar with silky tiramisu custard. This is how it played out on my skin: The top notes are quite green, yet sweet. I detect no citrus or florals at all. It isn't in the least spicy. Once the greenness settles the creamiest milk chocolate I've ever smelled in a cheap fragrance surfaces followed by a lusciously, milky tiramisu custard. Since I love tiramisu as a dessert I am enthralled that I can smell genuine tiramisu, however sutble. I sprayed this juice on at 9am this morning. (Two sprays to the back of my hand). It is now just after 11pm as I type this and the sillage is still going strong. I'm surrounded by subtlely creamy, sweet custard and milk chocolate. For what it is this is some heavenly nectar to fall asleep in! It just goes to show that if one keeps an open mind, having no expectations for a fragrance they can be pleasantly surprised no matter how seemingly cheap the label. :) Update: I could still smell the soft creaminess when I woke up this morning at 8 am! Now THAT'S impressive for an Escada!
Es un olor suave delicado y dulce como ñ para el uso diario. Se siente un poquito el chocolate, es resto no logro distinguirlo, es rico pero muy suave.
I was looking for something like Valentino Uomo but for women, but this isnt it. Reading the review I wonder if there are two versions or if some of us have bought fakes. Back in the 1970s we went on a big family holiday and on the way home my Auntie Junes suitcase took a knock. For the rest of the drive we were enveloped in the most disgusting mixture of Devon Violets, hairspray and some peach concoction she had bought. This took me straight back to that journey. 3 scrubbings later and I can still smell it. I wont even pass this on, its going in the bin.
I am completely addicted to this scent, enveloping, sensual! This parfum contains all notes I like : juicy citruses, sweet notes like dark chocolate, coffee which matches perfecty with honeysuckle. The composition becomes delightful with the spring freshness of peony and orchid !
this is all about fresh mandarin, lots of orchid and tiramisu. love it. love the development from fresh (citrus), over flowery (orchid) to gourmand (tiramisu)
This scent is so light I can barely smell anything. It's sort of a nutty, slightly coffee scented water with a strong honeysuckle note. It's like if one of those zero calorie flavored waters at the grocery store was Hazelnut Coffee flavored. You can sort of make out a flavor in the after taste, but mostly it's just a weird stale, chemical laced water. Coffee + honeysuckle = weird.
I like coffee in fragrance, and I love honeysuckle, but maybe not together. The honeysuckle & other florals plus those dessert base-notes make it a high-pitched sweet. It's like a caramel latte that came out soo sweet, you can hardly taste the coffee. If you like sweet ones, this is fluffy & subtle, so it might be pretty on you. Coffee scents that do work for me are New Haarlem, Popy Moreni, and Rochas Man. For caramel I'd rather wear Prada Candy, or Energie de Feu.
I own this fragrance for about 4 years now. Every time I put this one on, I can not ignore how similar this one is to Lancome Tresor. But Tresor is better, grown-up, chic and lush number, while Desire me is more simple and plain. I would say that Desire me is good for those who like Tresor but for one reason or another do not feel like approaching Tresor. All in all, this is a good, quite lasting scent, suitable for everyday life as well as for a night out. It is not irritating, it is not screaming and not very in your face fragrance. Good one, really, but not one of the best creations from Escada.
Someone mentioned below that it was too foody and I agree. Not even good food -like food left out overnight. Damn I have a lot of bad fumes in my collection! Lol
