Flowerbomb

I wrote this review a while ago, and it seems I forgot to post it. I've had more time with Flowerbomb now because I bought a giant bottle. I still love it! I think Sugarbomb would be a more fitting name than Flowerbomb, and I absolutely love it! This has a wonderful balance of warmth and sweetness. I get a lot more candy-like vanilla than I do the patchouli people mention. It's also much more gourmand than floral in my opinion. Initially I wasn't even interested in trying this one for a few reasons. One being the name. I assumed it was going to be 100% floral. It's not at all! Also, because it has been SO popular for over 20 years now. I didn't want to come across as basic... Now I know Flowerbomb was popular for very good reason, wow! I was afraid of the patchouli note. Turns out I barely notice it. All it does is add a natural balance. This perfume is well blended, smooth, and delicious! 🍬🍦💐

i smelled 3 flankers before trying the original.all 3 smelled like sweet flower candies but this one smells bad especially in the beggining. Is it the patchouli? It covers everything ,at least my nose can't get past it. now I get it.. It drew inspiration from Angel with the contrast of the bad/earthy patchouli and the sweetness.It is more civilized than Angel though

I’m sorry but this is iconic. I think it’s a masterpiece. This was my first real perfume and this unique composition in the luxurious little grenade bottle is probably still my favourite. I’ve been enjoying Pretty Peony these last few days and reliving my love of this scent that was my signature at age 19. If you refer to the reviews below, you might notice that no one can really agree on what kind of scent this is. If you asked me to pin down exactly what I’m smelling I couldn’t really tell you either. It’s not what I would describe as floral in the traditional sense at all. It pulls aspects from tea, bergamot, osmanthus, pink and white florals and patchouli vanilla and musk without obviously being any one of those notes but having aspects of each which provide a sweet, fresh, deep, powdery, warm and musky sensual concoction with a unique accord that is quite frankly orgasmic to my olfactory senses. I personally kind of see the comparison to LVEB but not really (I’m not a fan). It kind of reminds me of the original JPG Le Classique EDP (the discontinued lace bottle version). Flowerbomb has not been reformulated, it can also be potent and will give anyone near you a headache if you spray this more than 3 times. It’s longevity is excellent and it has a beautiful and addictive drydown over many hours. I can see this would be love or hate, I personally love.

It is a rich, feminine floral gourmand that lives up to its name. Even so, its quality, versatility, and timeless appeal have earned it a lasting place among the best designer fragrances.

Guys don't worry, this hasn't been reformulated as far as l can tell. No vanilla added. I think they initially forgot to show the sweet ethyl maltol note and felt the need to explain it's mostly sweet. So now they just show a vanilla note on the pyramid but it's not vanilla and it's the exact same smell

I think this is one of the more interesting, even complex, floral scents I've ever smelled. It definitely smells sweeter than the usual floral fragrance, but it's also a bit cool-smelling? I think it's from the patchouli. Lovely!

Smells like my mama :) it's romantic, feminine, warm, soft, and gentle. Pink, floral, and to me, nostalgic.

This perfume basically smells like a soft feminine concoction of different kinds of pink flowers with a little bit of sweetness. It's elegant and comforting. Like smelling a soft floral on your mother. However, it's a bit too safe. I don't get patchouli or tea. I just smell flowers and a bit of sweetness. Smell: 8 out of 10 Strength: 7 out of 10 Feminine

Only slightly sweet on my skin, mostly just beautiful patchouli and an underlying spice that makes the scent feel unique and bold Likely in my top 3 smelled florals as a nonfloral fan

Um i think im not even getting patchouli… neither the opening nor the dry down Only sugary sweeeeet rose and flowers not even musky And i’m in love ! Again i experience mixed emotions sometimes when i wear this cus it reminds me a bit of the mf gross LA VIE EST BELLE LANCÔME But this one hahahah WAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better MUUUUUUUUUUCCCHHHHHHHH better

Weird patchouli ? not so earthy not so noticeable I don’t get the blast of the patchouli in the opening as i do with any other patchouli scent but its really there Hmmm interesting

If you drizzled a bit too much caramel on top of a bouquet and took a sniff that’s what ur gonna get Yeah it does smell so sweet but elegantly and in a floral way I like it so mucchh but the similarities it shares with the sticky teens LVEB LANCOME gives me mixed emotions This is A hundred times better tho Way Less sticky sugar more caramel like much much more floral and balanced ugh i hate LVEB There is a green tea opening to it that is just on spot like a cherry on top i wish if the tea was a bit stronger

It's a simple floral fragrance. It's not bold or intense

For me this fragrance gives me the same vibe as Angel, but it's not night, it's daytime, and it's a pink version of the original Angel. It's more floral, more innocent, but similar vibes overall. So if you like Angel, but you wangt a softer version of it, try this one.

I absolutely loved it in my 20s. It smells like mamba- the candy of my childhood. Sadly, it doesn’t have any staying power on my skin. I might as well use a body mist.

A fever dream the creators knew would die as the signature clubbing scent of the mid 2000's. Explosive sweetness, a powdery dry down that leans into tea-brewing airiness. Perfect for the night out when you could care less for manners. Did i like flowerbomb? yes. Will it's cloying synthetics breathe down yours' and everyone else's necks? most definitely.

I love this! Don’t let the name fool you! I am not a floral lover but this perfume is blended so well. A very sexy scent for any occasion but I like it for spring and summer because it’s powerful. It has the floral notes but also you get the other notes in there as well. It’s a wonderful fragrance.

This is I guess what contemporary designers consider a "flower bomb" even though it's fairly basic in its construction. It makes me laugh when I think of the 90's definition of a floral perfume which had every flower imaginable, the kitchen sink, your aunt, best friend and dog in it. It's crowd pleasing enough for those who don't like floral perfumes as a rule and doesn't offend in any setting so there's that.

it's a nice floral, but kind of dull - i don't mean in the sense of boring, i mean as opposed to bright/sparkling. has a bit of an 'artisanal handmade soap with flower petals in it that you find at the farmer's market' vibe. no objections to it, but once i finish the sample (sephora freebie) i'm not going to bother to buy a bottle

I love this one, my mum's perfume so I associate it with her- I remember this being VERY floral but maybe my nose/the formula has changed.

the opening blasts you with a super loud and sweet candied floral. dries down to a play doh-y vanilla. i’ve definitely smelled this out in the wild before. not my every day vibe at all but it was a free sephora sample!

This is a lot spicier than expected up front, like there are pink pepper notes that aren't listed. But I love peppery florals so I like this fragrance. It is much more interesting than I anticipated it to be and think it's going to layer well with my vanilla fragrances. The patchouli is definitely more up front than expected as well, but is another thing I love

So bad plasticky, too sweet and cheap smelling thing. No no no. No. No. NOOOOOOOO

I bought the 0.68oz yeaaaaars ago, put it away, and forgot about it. It just didn't seem that interesting to me. About a month ago, as I was going through my collection, I pulled it out, sprayed it and something clicked! That evening, after my shower, I oversprayed this beauty. I used it up every night and poof, it was gone in a few days. I ordered the 3.4oz immediately! It is a perfect balance of fruity, somewhat candied florals and patchouli. I dont detect much of the musk until deep in the drydown. The patchoili is not dirty or super earthy-it just adds depth. This fragrance starts out pretty loud and dries down to a calming tea and soft powdery skin scent. Longevity is not the best considering the loud start. Definitely back-up worthy for me.

This is a very sweet floral perfume. It's sweet and warm, but a little bit spicy and woody. I like it a lot but not enough to buy a full bottle. It is pretty expensive even for a small bottle, so I wouldn't buy it without trying it first.

The heart is a dense swirl of jasmine, freesia, and rose, but not naturalistic florals - these are lacquered, glossy, almost neon. The jasmine is creamy, the freesia is sharp and clean, and the rose is pink and polished. Together they create that signature “Flowerbomb sheen”: hyper‑feminine, sweet, and a little synthetic in a designer‑friendly way. As it dries down, the fragrance becomes more interesting. Patchouli adds a warm, slightly earthy backbone; vanilla softens everything into a sweet, plush haze; musk keeps it clean and modern; and a faint amber glow gives the illusion of depth without ever going dark. The dry down is the best part for me - smooth, sweet, and comforting, but still very much a pink‑floral gourmand cloud rather than a resinous or nocturnal amber. Flowerbomb is a sweet, sparkling floral‑gourmand with a polished, candy‑coated personality. It’s playful, extroverted, and unmistakably pink. For lovers of jasmine‑vanilla sweetness and clean patchouli, it’s iconic. For those who prefer molten amber, resin, oud, or deep tonka warmth, it can feel too bright, too sugary, and too floral‑pink. My Personal Rating: 5/10 The freesia + jasmine combo hits my “clean-floral” dislike zone. The sweetness is sugary‑pink, not amber‑molten. The patchouli is scrubbed clean, not dark or textured. The vanilla is pleasant but not deep enough for my taste. The dry down is wearable, but the opening is too bright and candied for me. Whilst the two scents are different, I find it similar to LVEB as both sit firmly in the pink-sweet floral gourmand category, both are sparkly pink sugar florals at heart - the kind of scents that dominated the 2010s. Pretty, popular, and polished - just not aligned with my molten‑amber, resinous taste.

Very floral (duh), slightly powdery, slightly fruity. I get some orchid and rose, bergamot and tea. There’s a hint of patchouli but not enough to overpower - I know so many people who cannot handle smelling patchouli (sometimes I’m one of them) and don’t think there would be a strong enough aspect of it to bother anyone who is sensitive. Very playful, light and happy, uber femme with depth which I love. Perfect spring fragrance but it really could be worn any time. I tested perfumes at Ulta until I became nose blind today but this was one I sampled on skin and could explain in depth because it has lots of personality and you can really “explore” it with every sniff 😋 I could really tell there was some evolution happening as it sat. It has all the things I want in a floral! I want this but want to try the Extreme version first before I commit, because the gunpowder addition sounds amazing although this may have more crowd appeal. We will see!

Beautiful!! This fragrance really helped me find my love for floral patchouli scents! Overtly feminine and is very unapologetic in that regard. Very sweet floral all throughout its wear but it's grounded by an earthy patchouli. I guess it sort of reminds me LVEB, though I wouldn't say they are dupes of any kind. Opening is ever so slightly fresh which offsets its very tween girly scent. The tea carries throughout, just a bit though, which I think helps make this a lot more wearable! I wear this in summer and I don't find it cloying or headache inducing. Definitely a compliment-getter and crowd pleasing. I agree with the sentiment that this smells like a Macys/walking past a Sephora in the mall, but obv in the best way possible. I may be a twink but it won't stop me from smelling like a hooker.

Should be called Patchouli Bomb. I really like it, but would prefer the patch to be a little more subtle. It's very earthy, in a good way, but if you're expecting a floral scent, this isn't it. Avoid if you hate patchouli. Good sillage and longevity.
