Buono indubbiamente.
Something powdery is going on and I've been chasing that 90s/00s powder makeup scent. On skin it's almost cashmere-based, like Korres Cashmere Kumquat EDP. Actually very pleasant and work-safe. Later, on paper it smells like the hand cream Glycerona Classic, a very subtle milky muskiness. Adore. 8/10
I'm so surprised to see so many negative reviews on this one - I find this to be a really unique and refined summer scent. Rarely can you blend such serious white florals with heavy, sticky caramel notes and make it work for hot summer weather. Some how, Borabora accomplishes just that... The opening is your pretty typical tropical white floral with a sunscreen/solar undertone to it. Then it transitions into that sweet, sweet caramel and vanilla in the dry down. It's a really fun wear and personally, I find it works fabulously in hot weather, though this may depend on your particular skin chemistry. Moderate performance all the way around - about 3 to 4 hours of wear with moderate projection. This will definitely be my next summer purchase. Rating: 8/10
A creamy white floral fragrance blended with coconut, vanilla and caramel. The overall impression is smooth and slightly tropical, with a subtle sunscreen association. It leans feminine and somewhat mature. Pleasant and well composed, although not something I would personally wear.
This is a very strong and sticky sweet white floral. The tiare, jasmine, and ylang with the sweetness of the caramel almost give it a bubblegum tuberose vibe, even though it isn’t listed. I really enjoy it for the right occasion, but this is not an overspray fragrance. The creamy coconut milk and vanilla dry down is beautiful and helps to ground all the florals, but too many sprays turn it into a white floral bomb.
Very lactonic and floral. Jasmine is what stands out the most to me with a light coconut. Something about this reminds me of bianco latte in that it has a "make up" like a foundation kind of smell that i can not get away from. Very odd.
I get white florals and caramel. For me caramels almost always takeover the entire scent, but I still get a hint of the florals. The caramel does fade after a bit and the florals are back in the focus and smell great, but they are so weak when the caramel has faded.
This is the most realistic flower scent I've ever smelled. Like literally sniffing an enormous bouquet of white flowers. And this, the quality is the only pro from my side. To me there's nothing tropical, or coconutty here, just crazy thick flowers, which I hate. And in the end of the drydown there's the typical caramelish GDT base. It immediately makes me feel I'm at least a 65 years old in a florist shop, and I've got the same feedback from my environment, so this is not my scent for sure.
First sprays to about 30 minutes after, this a mature white floral. After that it’s true to its base notes, warm vanilla and musk. After about 3.5 to 4 hours the smell on skin is very faint, typical for this house. Overall not very impressive
I had a bottle of this in 2024 blind bought it because of all the hype on social media and got rid of it almost immediately because on me smelled like feces and had terrible longevity. Now I got a bottle as a present from a friend and I don’t know if the perfume was reformulated or that first bottle I had was bad - but I am getting completely different experience. While I still get yellow florals they are not indolic at all - I get ylang ylang and jasmine in the opening but they are beautiful and soft, and then creamy vanilla and musk take over. Longevity and projection are still a bit sub par but better than the initial bottle. I get around 6 hours with overspraying and projection within arms length
This is a white floral bomb. It’s thick and creamy. Beautiful tropical notes in the background but predominantly creamy white florals. It feels like a thick lotion in your mouth. Reminded me strongly of Armani My Way Nectar. If that’s your jam, this is great. Not for me.
Selling my bottle. Sprayed twice. Comes full presentation. UK shipping only
On my skin this turns into a very strong, very long lasting perfume, which would be great... if it wasn't the perfume equivalent of being violently beaten with a bridal bouquet. The apricot, caramel and vanilla are completely undetectable on me and all I'm left with is floral. So, so much floral.
This is a gorgeous summer fruit fragrance but it is weak. Weak in both longevity and projection. I can't see spending money on a full bottle if the perfume is weak
I like the fruit in this. It's very bright, but there's a floral note in here that I really don't like. I Would not purchase a full bottle
I blind bought a FB which is still closed and sealed. DM me if you want to buy it. I have tried it on a sample and it is not for me.
The opening smells like straight up jasmine and pee, I'm not gonna lie. Jasmine has a tendency of smelling "pissy" on my skin... Once it settles it smells like a luxurious bodycream with notes of ylang, coconut, vanilla and a hint of banana. I really didn't like it the first couple of times I tried it, but it's grown on me, and pulled me in, so I'm considering buying a full bottle of it... Edit: Bought a full bottle, and absolutely love it! It also layers so well with so many other perfumes, incredibly versatile and not just for summer.
the musk ruined what would otherwise be a beautiful tiare and ylang-ylang scent
Borabora feels like a caricature of a tropical floral. To say the jasmine and ylang opening is intense is an understatement, it slaps you in the face with tropical floral sweetness. It’s like stepping off the plane on an island covered in flowers. On my skin, the opening lasts a solid 3 hours. Once the florals start to fade, I enjoy the coconut and musky caramel sweetened vanilla. I don’t get any urine nuances, but there is something plastic-like in the base. This scent is dense and rich- which makes it hard to wear in the oppressive summer heat where I live. I want to love this; I enjoy all of the notes in it. But I don’t really like wearing it. I always wish I’d worn something else.
Very glad I didn't blind buy this. I don't get the dirty / urine notes that others have picked up - but this just smells quite sickly to me. It reminds me of feeling car sick for some reason.
Smells like an old powdery lotion + a toilet bowl deodorizer
Delicious summer scent, perfect for all times of the day and can only be enhanced by the hot weather. This fragrance is absolutely perfect for vacations and warm weather, tiare flower and ylang ylang mix with coconut and vanilla that feels like sugared coconut milk sinking into your skin. I get a picture of salty hair, warm sand clinging to your skin, a gorgeous tan and sipping a cocktail on the beach. Jasmolactone and coconut work together to keep the fragrance creamy, caramel comes in and makes it slightly gourmand while the musk wraps everything up in a soft shawl and all together these ingredients make a perfect, dare i say, signature worthy female summer scent. This is highly feminine and sexy in a "not trying too hard way". I will be wearing this every damn time i leave the house when its hot this summer. If you want a soft, sweet, yet powerful summer breeze on your skin buy BoraBora. I get a long wear time out of this on both skin and clothes and the sillage is fairly strong too. Obsessed, trumps bianco latte for me
Hmmm. I hated this one at first, but then kept sniffing my arm all day. There is definitely a plasticy undertone but if you can get past it, it is vacation in a bottle. Very tropical, honey and yellow flower forward. Ended up keeping my bottle.
#96 of My Fragrance Journey - Giardini Di Toscana Borabora: Too Much Sun, Not Enough Distance The air here doesn't just move - it carries weight. Stepping off the plane, you're hit with something that feels like a physical embrace. A declaration of presence that the locals simply call home. Wearing Borabora, the parallels are impossible to ignore. The first hour? One word. Unapologetic. It lands on skin already in full sun with no introduction, no apology. A loud, honeyed explosion of Tiaré and Ylang-Ylang - dense, almost oily, neon in its intensity. There's a touch of apricot sweetness that doesn't soften anything; it just adds weight. Makes the air feel heavier. It's like wearing too many leis in midday heat - beautiful and nearly overwhelming at the same time. The volume is turned up to ten from the first spray, and it stays there. Not a blind buy for the faint-hearted. Then, slowly, the roar retreats. The florals pull back just enough to reveal something more intimate - sun-warmed skin meeting creamy coconut milk and musk. It's that specific feeling of expensive sunscreen settling into the shoulders after hours in the water. The air softens. The scent stops performing and starts lingering. Less about being seen, more about being remembered. Radiant, close, warm. This is the part the brand promises and actually delivers. By late afternoon, the exoticism settles into vanilla, caramel, amber, and musk. Sweet, luminous, seductive - pleasant but almost too composed after everything that came before. The night deciding not to go further. A safe landing after a theatrical journey, which is either a relief or a slight disappointment depending on what you came for. Here's the thing, though - I don't usually reach for loud fragrances. But Borabora doesn't ask. It changes the way I exist in a space. People notice before I've said anything. The air shifts. And so do I, even when part of me resists it. Performance is exceptional - longevity that survives the beach, the pool, and dinner after. On paper, it's a postcard. On the skin, it's an entire climate. It's not an everyday scent. But when worn in the right mood, in the right heat, it transforms presence into something that's hard to forget - and harder to explain. Do you ever reach for something slightly too much just to see who you become inside it? Vibe: Tiaré and coconut milk. Midday heat with nowhere to hide. Performance: Exceptional. This thing survives everything. Fit: For someone unafraid of taking up space - and curious what happens when they do. This is a like not love scent. Starts off as a white flower bomb (almost too pungent and nauseating). However give it 5 min and the scent really shows it's true colours. On dry down those white flowers mute but don't disappear. They become very creamy . When I sniff my skin up close I really don't enjoy the scent. However every so often when the wind catches it the trail it leaves is devine . Imo if you own Carnal Flowers by Frederick Malle. You don't need this. They are so close in scent profile
Honey 🥰🥰🥰all the way the best honey i ever smelled and i love it sooo much
In the tester, it smells perfect, just like a summery day. On my skin, it smells like melted birthday candles with baby powder sprinkled on top. It's ok, but not for me.
A strong piss note on opening which does get joined by coconut and other such notes but ultimately the piss remains
I'm sorry this smells like a hot dirty public washroom on top note. Ylang ylang didn't help me unfortunately. It took a while to get used to it...
