Just picked up a used bottle of Fleur, and what a pleasant surprise compared to my sample. I’m convinced maceration makes a significant difference with this one. My sample left performance wanting, which is especially disappointing because in theory, Rêve and Fleur would be my favorite Glossier flankers, yet both felt so light. The full bottle, already sprayed and presumably macerated, feels like an upgraded version. The salt is pronounced yet delicate, with ambroxan and sweet musks melting together beautifully. The woods and florals also become much more apparent with wear. It seems like every fragrance that I try gives me a bit of nausea or a headache, I am so surprised to see that is the case for many in these reviews. This would be considered one of my “safe” perfumes for my overly sensitive days. I do know that Ambroxan-heavy fragrances can be extremely polarizing because perception varies dramatically between people. Some may barely detect it, while others find it overwhelming or go nose-blind quickly. Skin chemistry can amplify these differences, so if you enjoy clean, powdery, irisy ambroxan, Fleur is absolutely worth trying, let it sit and age a bit, do not write it off immediately first spray. If not, this may be one to skip.
This is the only perfume of theirs I have somewhat liked. But my entire family hated it so… To me it was a nice blended clean fragrance (which is unusual because I’m not a fan of “clean” perfumes.) But yeah… I did get a headache and my family rolled down the windows in the car so I’m glad I didn’t buy it.
I like this purely for the virtue that this smells like a clean lotion. I can't place it for the life of me. I'm almost certain it's like. aveeno baby comfort sleepytime lotion, or something to that effect. This would work so good as like, a linen spray or solid perfume.
Smells like walking into sephora.. that generic alcohol scent of all the perfume mixing.
It smells awful, not at all what I expected. I was expecting a soft, feminine scent, but it smells like disgusting men's perfume. There's a note in it that bothers me. At first, I thought it was just my skin, but when I sprayed it on my clothes, it smelled even worse. It smells like the lingering taste in your mouth after you throw up. The best scent in this series is definitely Doux; everything else is awful.
For myself, this fragrance was an Immediate headache inducer. Wash it off with Dawn kind of scent. I offloaded this one quite quickly. Not much a fan of Glossier You line in general.
Opening smells like the OG Glossier You; sharp, peppery, reminds me of a pencil shaving. But the drydown is more musky but creamy. I get the vibe from SDJ Cheirosa 59. Love this better than the OG!
oh i like this it makes me think of going to vermont to ski when i was a kid. this and the dial bar soap, which makes me think of where we stayed. i think this one makes me think of the place where i would go for ski camp.
i wanted to like this so bad because of everything i've heard about it but it's too salty for my liking and the fleur aspect is barely there for me.
Honestly my absolute favorite from the glossier you lineup . It’s peachy, slightly salty, and super warm and powdery from the amber. but honestly nothing special
honestly the first glossier perfume i dont like at all. scrubbed it off because it gave me a headache :/ smells too much like mall perfume i think
I’m in loveee with this scent. I don’t understand all the negative reviews!! I think it will be the fragrance I wear on my wedding day 🤍
MY SHAYYYYYLA. this is one of my top 5 fragrances of all time. it starts out salty and fruity, and dries down to a molecular cozy sexy musk that makes me feel like I’m wrapped in a soft thin beige throw blanket. I have never gotten more compliments than when I wear this, my coworkers LOVE her. perfect for work in a hospital or other “perfume-free” zone. the only thing I’m a little stumped on is the name, because this is not a floral perfume by any means. a zillion/10. I will repurchase this until it’s taken off the market. I applied at 0630 and it’s 1430 as I write this and she’s faded a bit for sure but still going strong!! (I layered over oil)
Definitely the most perfume-y of all the You flankers. I don't typically like white floral fragrances, but these florals fade into a soft, sweet and salty base. The florals are actually what keeps it bright and makes the scent more sophisticated. It's like if your grandma's perfume and Glossier You had a baby. Classic and sophisticated, yet youthful and soft.
This fragrance is very salt on my skin. It reminds me of a musky whipped cream lotion. I sense a suede feel to it and it is quite comforting on my skin. Definitely my favorite flanker of the line.
This is far from being a fleur scent. Salt is more like it. I'm afraid this is more synthetic leaning with Cashmeran, Ambroxan, but that's unsurprising. As that settles it doesn't really get stronger in regards to Apricot and Osmanthus, yet they linger. So spray a lot. Ylang is there as a base bringing out the other notes, but it's gone by the time this fades away. I prefer this one out of the entire line.
Musky floral deliciousness.
i smell this more in a cloud around me than i can smell it on my skin. i get sweetness from the apricot but not much saltiness. i like this better than the original you but i don’t get enough out of the experience for myself to justify a full bottle.
So I had a weird experience with this. Tried a sample pack of glossier you, and this was the only one I kinda liked. I tried it on for a day or two and just felt like I could barely smell anything, even though my husband said he could definitely smell it and that it had a strong floral presence. I decided to give it away, but afterwards the clothes I hard worn while trying it smelled so strong for over a week after. Also when being around others wearing it I can identify it immediately and am so drawn to it. It’s been months since I tried it, but I can’t seem to forget it. It’s an experience I haven’t had with any other fragrance, hard to identify, and yet so memorable.
i do think calling this "fleur" is a bit of a misnomer because it leans way more fruity initially and then dries down into a musky ambroxan that smells almost identical to the original you formulation to me...genuinely was not expecting to love this as much as i do but something about the sweetness of the apricot mixed with the slight tang of the salt and the rich muskiness is so incredibly sexy to me. she's like if a femme lesbian were turned into a perfume she's like a stranger i'd go down on in the bathroom of the dyke bar & then forget to get her number & think about her for weeks...ugh i'm obsessed
I love it!! On the test strip this smelled sour/weird but on my skin I adore this. Fresh realistic apricot/peach scent that fades into creamy floral musky notes. I get a hint of linen/fresh laundry smell as well. The salt note does give it almost a sweaty vibe but in a pleasant sexy way. As someone who normally prefers aquatics or citrus scents this really surprised me! Reminds me of Liis Floating.
I don’t care what anyone says, this smells like a unisex version of Wildly Me. I have been obsessed with Wildly Me for over a year now and I am on my second bottle. This is salty and woody, while WM is more lavender and soapy. I got this in a Dossier sample set for my Sephora birthday gift. I don’t think I will actually purchase this though, since it smells too close to WM. I only used half the sample and am keeping the rest until next summer to see if it macerates.
Blindly bought it, expecting something very fairy perfume, fresh, light, airy, but this perfume has something that I really do not like, something “dirty “ I can’t describe, so it’s like 7/10
Such an amazing perfume!! If I put this on in the middle of the day it’ll stay till the next morning. Not to mention it smells so good, it’s a weird but perfect mix of mature and youthful. I highly recommend that you test this on your skin tho it does smell a tad different once it’s been on you. Sooo amazing tho I use this everyday!!! <33
This smells like any other floral perfume to me.. I loved Glossier You and You Doux because I found them unique and young compared to other mainstream perfumes so I blind bought this but it was a disappointment. It's not that bad, but I expected something else from Glossier.
didn’t even want to keep this on my skin, washed it off after 5 minutes :/ it’s hard to make a good salty fragrance
I had the travel sized one before it’s sadly broke! I loved it for spring the osmathus popped when worn on my skin. Planning on repurchasing the bigger bottle.
Cute cousin of the original You - used this as a spring alternative. Bright, crisp, slightly salty and not too floral.
I am in love with the opening of this, the apricot is so sparkly and fizzy and tangy, and even a little coconut which gives it a beachy vibe. However that just goes away too fast into a somewhat laundryish amber. Which is pretty but also kinda boring compared to the initial unique apricot opening. Don’t have the budget right now to buy a perfume that I only love for 30min to an hour. One day I would like to buy it.
A beautiful, subtle, creamy solar scent that evokes sunny days outside without smelling like literal sunscreen (yes, I’m talking about you Soleil Blanc). It reminds me of a mellower, less citric Maldives in a Bottle (Kayali) with a touch of the Phlur’s Afterglow/Missing Person creamy DNA.
