Why oh why did they ever discontinue this gem? There is nothing else like it! 😭

I have a 30 ml full bottle in its original box, unused. Kept it many years as a collector's item but i decided it's time to let it go to someone who will actually use it. Sell or perhaps swap.

I would go so far as to declare this the most beautiful perfume I have ever worn. It breaks my heart that Gucci discontinued it. I never understand why these companies do that to such popular scents. I am certain that if they ever brought it back it wouldn't be the same, so I dare not get my hopes up.

Another masterpiece from the refined nose of Daniella Andrier. In my opinion, she and Jean Claude Ellena are the masters of blending woods, floral and sweetness. Gucci (woefully, tragically discontinued) is the height of feminine sophistication. An oriental with a clean edge, this is an extraordinarily sexy concoction that never tips into vulgarity. Highly recommended for an exquisite, balanced and classic fragrance experience.

Got a bottle from 2002. Fruity, but not too fruity, soft florals mix on my skin with only a hint of powder (I usually don’t like powdery perfumes), elegant, very grown-up feminine, turns balsamic with the flowers peaking through. Luxurious, classy, vintage but not old-fashioned. Notes mix beautifully. A true masterpiece.

I really wanted to get acquainted with Gucci Eau de Parfum by Gucci. For a huge amount of money, I bought an untouched, original 5 ml miniature. Oh. It’s a very beautiful fragrance - but extremely heavy. Definitely not for me. I can’t imagine where or how I would wear it. It’s not that I should be wearing this scent - I don’t suit it. Here, it’s not you who wears the fragrance; it wears you. It feels very overwhelming to me. And I don’t like that, when a perfume dominates. Heavy, thick, dense - leathery, smoky, animalic, carnal, boozy. When I inhale it, my pulse actually speeds up and my cheeks flush with blood.

My heart aches every time I remember the discontinuation of this masterpiece.

This doesn't smell like anything else I've tried before, and I blind bought it because I actually wanted Parfum 2. I can see how someone would like this, definitely. It's very mysterious and vintage, but I just don't see myself wearing it. There's an almost yellow floral, ylang note that's indolic/animalic that I pick up that I don't love. But it's a really lovely niche-smelling fragrance... just not for me. If you have an Eau de Parfum 2 available though, let me know! And if you're in South Africa, I'm selling my 60ml on Yaga.

I wish I had more than a tiny sample of this I would wear this every single day if I could.

My mom wore this in the 2000s and I recently got a sample, it’s the most stunning powerful feminine fragrance ever made. It reminds me of Slavic baddies, fur coats and fall. It smells like something Lilly from Gossip Girl would wear. I love sniffing her original perfume bottle. It’s so nostalgic to me, I wish this wasn’t discontinued. Also, the bottle is so elegant, it’s really heavy and good quality.

When I am in the mood to wear something sweeter that is also office appropriate, this fragrance is my go-to. I say sweeter, but syrupy sweet this is not on me. This is the perfect perfume for those early Spring months, when it's still cool outside. Yes, it is quite powdery, but the spices, especially the thyme which is an unusual touch, blend together to create a sophisticated scent. There is a hint of musk to this, which supports and enhances the vanilla and powder. The leather is much more prominent and blends well with the powder, adding some depth to the fragrance. Whenever I wear this, I get a lot of compliments and head turns... like, damn she smells good, what is that? They really don't make perfumes like this anymore.

Christ Gucci bring this back. So sick of your tacky shenanigans...

The bottle-- well you can see the bottle. It's a big glass block. I have the 75ml bottle and I could use that thing as a weapon. It's definitely a paperweight. I think it weighs more than my dog. So it's really surprising that the fragrance itself is so powdery and ethereal! I would call it heliotrope & vanilla dominant. The leather & caraway are very well-blended and smooth; I'm not a big fan of those notes usually, but this is lovely. It's unisex with a feminine edge. The dry down reminds me of a hairspray I used to use back when I was a teenager, when the Earth's crust was still cooling. Gucci EDP was discontinued and although I do like it-- I would probably rate it 8.1/10-- I personally don't think it's worth the prices being charged on the secondary market. I forget to wear it for months at a time.

All i can corelate this fragrance is the scent of dirty vanilla. The bottle and the cap are made from heavy glass so luxury

(Im trying this perfume as a man, disclaimer). It is relatively unisex especially considering today’s male fragrances are often more and more floral, sweet and vanilla based. This can be considered unisex although I still find it a bit more on the feminine side (but end of the day wear what you like , always). Very very powdery. But not like something from the Dior Homme line or Prada. It’s powdery in a different way, and it has a nice , not super strong leather note that ties everything together. This scent is simultaneously sweet and not sweet at all. Some spices on the background make this very interesting as well and a great fall / winter fragrance with some oriental touches. Vanilla is one of the main notes here but again, it’s not the modern super cupcakey / edible vanilla that is so present in today’s market. It’s something more natural and pure. Great composition, interesting from opening to dry down. PS - I have a circa 2010 Scannon batch. Not sure if this was ever reformulated while produced. I believe this was sadly discontinued around 2016 from the info I saw online.

Found! - I just received the massive paperweight of a 60ml bottle. This might sounds crazy but this smells a lot like Iris Ganache! It’s not as sweet but it has the same buttery, thick Orris with vanilla. Gucci also reminds me of another fragrance I recently discovered that also reminded me of Iris Ganache: Les Bras de Morphee by Hellenist! Les Bras has more of a bright, tart violet note in the opening. All three share a common thread: Iris/Orris. Gucci is the most sensuelle.

I have a full 50 ml of this, never really payed much attention to it because it’s not my style, if I smelt it on a women I would probably love it though, wonderful scent for winter!

I've managed to get my hands on a second bottle, sealed (30ml). this will always be my greatest women's fragrance of all time. and... I don't care if it reminds me of my ex. it will forever be my all time favourite. reviews say Eau Sauvage Parfum is Don Corleone. then, Gucci EDP. Griselda Blanco... netflix Griselda Blanco, that is.

This is very unique, seductive, and head-turning. I didn't like this at its first sniff, but it grew on me. Based on the scent, I can imagine Amal Clooney wearing this. Someone who has their sh*t together, charismatic, yet femine. Quite seductive without initiating any. Your presence is enough. It's not so much of an out there fragrance. Aggressive and soft at the same time!

I love it to the moon and stars!! So, there are thousands of arabian clones for so many perfumes and no one can make a clone for this one?? This puzzles me. And Tom Ford cannot create an other very, very similar perfume? This puzzles me even more. Discontinuing this masterpiece is a tragedy.

Gucci please bring this Beauty back! I loved this scent and I have so many good memories tied to it. Never smelled anything like this. If there is a dupe for this please let me know🙏🏻

Gucci EDP is my go-to for feeling powerful and feminine. The powdery vanilla is so addictive and the leather and incense give it a sophisticated edge. It lasts forever on my skin too!

Today I ran out of the original gucci scannon perfume that i cherished like the fragile brown gold in a ampoule it truly was. particularly bittersweet over the fact that i will never experience the looming cloud of heliotrope and caraway on my mink coat ever again. strong, powerful, bold... i wish it was never discontinued but, so is life i guess. Absolute love philtre of a perfume, one of my favourites to have ever been produced

Gucci EDP (Scannon formulation). A true masterpiece. I have about 15ml left of the original formulation and use it sparingly, in the hope it that it will last forever. I store it in the dark and it smells as good now as it did when I purchased it, around 20 years ago. This perfume has depth and oozes confidence. It is sexy and beautiful, dramatic and sultry. The combination is wonderfully complex. Gucci EDP is a statement perfume. It wraps me in its silky goodness and invokes a feeling of being divine. When the leaves change colour in autumn and start to fall, this is the fragrance I crave.

Nose Note #33 A heavy hitter for big dames. This was mighty strong and very powdery. The color of the juice says it all. Very mature scent or else needs a certain personality to pull off. Very nice, but definitely not for everybody. Too bad it got discontinued
