i bought this last winter from a nearby shop to cover up lingering cigarette fumes after missing my bus. having recently turned 20, and being in a brand new city, i was trying to be grown-up. this smells a lot like wandering isles trying to burn time. fluorescent overheads and lots of plastic. shame, posturing, kinda like the headachey part of a fragrance section in your local mall. no clear direction. i thought it was sexy when i bought it but now it smells generic and largely offputting.
When first sprayed, it opens with a bright citrus note. Although pear is listed among the notes, I don't detect it; instead, it smells more lemony. After a few seconds, the white florals begin to emerge, with jasmine and orange blossom taking center stage, softened by a subtle touch of vanilla. As it settles, the dry down feels very familiar. It shares a similar DNA with YSL Libre, but comes across as smoother and less harsh. Overall, I really enjoy this fragrance. It's intense, deep, and well-balanced, yet versatile enough for everyday wear.
Here are the REAL notes... Top: Rubbing Alcohol. HARSH, stand back. Mid: Old Potpourri. It's not the WORST I've smelled. But close. Base: Hand Soap. Plain, unscented. That's it. Dry down after 10 mins is almost gone and left with clean skin & old flowers. Meh
classic, sensual, elegant, expensive, sexy, simply when dry it smells quite ripe vanilla, then Cashmir wood or Olibanum. Nice for every woman 7.5/10 because it is quite ripe for me
I bought this as a gift for my aunt because she mentioned she loves that DNA of fruity notes mixed with white florals and a vanilla base. For the price, this was a fantastic find, and she was really happy with it. Interestingly, as soon as she smelled it, she said it reminded her a lot of Burberry Women. I can see why—they both share that warm, cozy, and slightly sweet atmosphere. Guess Seductive opens with a nice pear and blackcurrant touch, but it’s the jasmine and orange flower in the heart that really give it that "pretty" floral character she was looking for. The drydown is smooth and creamy thanks to the vanilla and cashmere wood, making it a very safe and pleasant daily scent. It’s not a "loud" perfume, but for an everyday fragrance that feels classic and feminine, it’s an incredible value.
I used to find this alright but now I don't like it....something about the opening bothers me, it doesn't smell appealing to me even though i like my white florals usually.
I thought it would be a beautiful vanilla scent, yet it’s super strong and intense, white flowers take over with deep base. I don’t like it.
This was interestingly off-putting to me overall. Which is a weird thing to say, let me explain... It has a bouncy, airy and perfume-y quality to it, yet feels overly synthetic and burnt. Again, weird, but there was a chemical sort of tone that sat sharply in my nose, which I didn't care for. It's decidedly a jasmine dominant fragrance, with a fruit accord that usually would be pleasant, but didn't feel cohesive. Again, it truly just smelled like something had been heated to a burning point and added into the fray. The vanilla doesn't serve to soften this much either, it merely provides a sweet element. When I back up away from the scent, it's more tolerable. But at close range, it's strange (and not weirdly wonderfully "strange"). It's as if it's trying to be a good perfume, it has all of the proper elements in place to become one, yet still fails at it.
I didn’t expect to dislike this, but white florals really are not it for me, it seems. Smells like powder..not for me
Faint smell smells like a dry powdered nothing
Good cheapie , good blind buy especially for the price. Everyday inoffensive nice perfume.
I enjoy this one. It’s powdery citrus floral. Fairly safe smell, not overpowering. Kind of generic but i feel like that with most Guess scents.
Not sure if I got a bad batch, but mine smelled like a very generic and plain "perfumey" scent but not in a good way. I also detected a sharp and disturbing facet of molten plastic which was hard to ignore. Tried to give it a fair go but had to throw it out after 3 or 4 wears, it was bad enough that I didn't feel comfortable giving it away.
I find this to be a generally appealing little cheapie. I get a burst of that bright bergamot in the opening, some florals and definitely get the orris which isn’t my favorite but it’s not super prominent in this. I agree that the name doesn’t really fit, but it’s a nice scent for the price and I think it would be nice for day to day wear.
I find this a good scent but a little too mature for my liking and style. I got it as a gift and have tried my best loving it but I think the white floral scents are just not by favorite. I would think this is a good scent for a mature - office style person but personally not my favourite.
This is definition of PRETTY 🎀 I don’t feel like it’s very “seductive”, so not living up to the name. It sprays strong out the bottle but drys down very light. So will definitely have to overspray. But I got a giant bottle for $30 on Amazon so this will definitely be a go-to for daily & work wear. It’s very safe for office wear & easily giftable. Safe blind buy. As for the notes, I am definitely getting the pear 🍐, black currant 🍇, jasmine 🤍, orange flower 🍊 opening & the soft vanilla cashmere base. It really is a lovely scent! I feel like there’s a nice balance here with the subtly sweet floral & softness in the base & dry down. This is my first Guess in my collection & I very well may be adding more!! Update: I go so nose blind to this so I overspray since the bottle is so big. However, I do get a lot of compliments so it must still be projecting.
I used to avoid it because of the bottle and the name--seems to be another generic nightclub scent. Sprayed it by accident and was positively surprised. It is actually a soft, simple, and cozy scent. To my nose, this scent is white floral+powdery+vanilla. I agree with Perlynska below that it reminds me of my mom, though my mom never worn it. I bought the body mist of it to use before going to bed, which actually lasts pretty long, especially on clothes. Update: After smelling it on a man, I found out why its name is "seductive"--it's really seductive on guys! I never thought it could be a male scent but it works so well!
I was given this and I think it’s a pretty old bottle. I get pear, bergamot and florals. It’s not super generic but it’s also not particularly memorable, or something I would purchase. Performance isn’t amazing, but this could be its age.
i got this perfume so long ago, for my 11th birthday (?? lmao not a childlike scent at all) and the bottle is still more than half full. its very floral and bergamot forward on me, which is not something i want at all. its a very perfumey perfume, if that makes sense. its not bad, but you could find such better alternatives, this being so generic and having poor performance over time
I absolutely love this scent. It’s incredibly comforting. I think it reminds me of my mom? It gives such a warm, cozy feeling. Unfortunately, on me, the longevity and sillage are almost non-existent. I really regret that, because this could’ve been my signature scent. In general, I adore pear and orange blossom in perfumes, as well as cashmere and vanilla in the base. I keep searching for something with these notes that lasts longer — but so far, no luck.
Its a very clean crisp scent, nothing revolutionary. You can smell the bergamot and white flowers mainly. It’s non offensive, good for office wear.
A nice, mature, inoffensive floral scent. Opens up a bit harsh but dries down more sweet on my skin. I don't really smell the vanille to be honest, mostly jasmine/floral. Great office scent and blind buy.
Buying it by mistake thinking is was the Seductive Noir but I ended up liking this more than Seductive Noir. Guess Seductive is a simple yet refined citrusy withe floral perfume, very modern, very office friendly, suitable for everyday wear and professional settings.
I like its feminine and at not-too-sweet opening, but unfortunately the scent fades almost instantly. This was my blind purchase, I'm going to try to use it at home
Elegant and fresh, but youthful. Feels like a great perfume to wear at a wedding- it's nice, but not offensive or too loud. Decent projection and longevity on my skin. I'm newer to perfumes, but I actually don't think she's that generic of a scent. I've yet to smell something just like this.
The weakest perfume that I have ever got in my entire life! In 15 minutes it's gone. Smells like a shampoo and the liquid it has a lot of solid particles inside. Don't throw your money on this.
I bought this for someone. I sprayed a little on a paper towel and it smells faintly good. Very clean and soapy. The scent sits very close to the skin, and it is seductive and personal. Do not expect too many other individuals to smell this around you it is not for the crowd, but maybe for more intimate moments.
You cannot call this a perfume. Hell, it doesn’t even project or last as well as a body spray. It’s almost too weak to even smell. But what is there is a very soapy floral that is quite old fashioned. In no way, shape, or form does this earn the title of being Seductive.
This is a generic scent but still quite lovely. Inoffensive and good for daily office wear or smart casual situations.
Very office friendly. However, silage and longevity are disaster.
