This smells like an old babushka in a public transport. Gives old lady in a bad way.

A nice fresh scent that leans feminine and drys down to a mossy base. Performance could be better but this is a fresh EDT, so it is what it is. Besides that, I have no complaints. Note: the mossy note in this reminds me of the mossy note in Gris Dior.

This is my signature scent, you can wear it at any time, it lasts really long and i always get compliments when wearing it. It is fresh and woody and aromatic. It is refreshing and grounding at the same time, really balanced and feels sophisticated. On hot days it reminds me of nature and sun, a walk through a summery forest. When i wear it in winter it is more of a cozy, woody, hugging scent

This is a nice unisex fragrance, it's smells fresh and citrusy. I think this perfume is too mature for my personal taste. This is good for people who prefers mature and elegant smelling perfumes. Not for me, but i smell the appeal

At first, this smells like an old, fragrant, slightly dusty jewelry box. I mean this in a good way, the scent is pleasant and nostalgic for me. However it depends on skin chemistry, as the pleasant "dusty" note can smell like an old closet (so I've heard). The drydown is a slightly sharp and fresh wood accord.

2 years ago I first wore this perfume on a long hike in the woods which eventually ended on a quiet beach in the north aegean coast of Turkey. since then it is on my mind and decided to get one for myself as it really really so good. and I love Hermes as a fragrance house.

I ALWAYS end up buying another bottle when I finish this one. I consider it more than a fragrance, it instantly takes me back to a trip I took to Kenya, and every time I wear it, those memories come rushing back. The scent itself is unlike anything else I've come across. Although it's positioned as a feminine scent, I love how sweet yet warm and distinctive, it is. I also have a soft spot for the bottle featuring the Arabic calligraphy on the back, created in collab with an Emirati artist. Finding one has become a bit of a treasure hunt, but some Hermès boutiques still carry it.

Scent associations are so powerful. Many people think this smells like Christmas. But to me, this smells like the beach. There is, in fact, no more perfectly realistic beach fragrance than this one. I can smell the heat in the air, the sea foam, ocean spray in the air prickling your skin. I smell the heat of skin itself having been in the sun and salt all day long. I put this on, and I can feel the sun kiss my face. It's sensual, but not overtly so. It's also a celebration of nature. This is, for me, what Pacific Rock Moss, Wood Sage and Sea Salt, and Sel Marin could never quite capture about my personal experiences of the beach. It leaves a beautiful, gauzy scent trail. For days that call for SPF 50, white linen, and Turkish towels blowing in the breeze.

Pepper, cedar, amber and oranges are the most distinguishable notes for me. It does smell like christmas in a very nice nostalgic way, probably because of the cedar and pine. I might get the elexir des merveilles next time because I just wish it was a bit sweeter. Eau des merveilles is very fresh and light and I think it can be easily worn everyday.

It's nice, well blended and interesting like all the fragrances I've tried from Hermes so far. Picturing entering a nice sunny hotel room, freshly cleaned, with a bowl of oranges on the table. I'd say it's a cleaner, "indoor" version of the Elixir, which is more ambery and feels to me more like sitting outside in the sun; and a daylight/bright version of l'Ombre des Merveilles. All in all it smells clean, elegant and interesting, and rather classic. I'll stick to the Elixir though, which feels a little more bold and original to me!

it's my second review for EDM 10 years apart. I would say Hermes knows how to blend orange and woods. as its getting warmer I have returned to this after 10 years and as i smelled it on my skin, I remembered why it was my signature scent for years. so sophisticated, cool, perfectly blended citrus and woods. unisex leaning to feminine, best for late spring, summer. it's very for warm days for people like me, who do not like blue perfumes or musky scents. easy blind buy and very affordable.

Imagine, if you will, sitting beneath a fir tree on a lush grass field, mild sunlight peering through the cracks of the leaves as clouds float calmly, and a cool breeze picks up past your cheeks. Slowly in the horizon appears a sparkling, gentle sea, its waves crashing against the orange-tinted sky. The citrus opening blends wonderfully soft, and any violent outbursts citrus/lemon are prone to gets cut back by a firm, light smelling, peppery amber. In-between the citrus medley with the gentle woody base is a cohesive, violet sweetness. Once it dries down, from time to time you can find a hint of that orange vigor, unpeeled and tempting, a bit distant from where you're sitting. On skin and fabric the notes performance is similar; it lasts for half a day but it does want a slight refresh after that. Merveilles isn't cloyingly juicy, isn't aggressively woody, it smells calm and collected like I'm rifling through the memory of the most peaceful summer day in my life.

Someone recommended this to me because I was looking for a clean, unique fragrance- but this ended up being a huge disappointment. Most of the listed notes I love, but this literally smells like pine trees and hints of outdated cologne. I was expecting to love this after doing some research. It has amazing reviews and sounds like something I would typically go for..but this one just wasn’t for me. I only got a travel size decant (thankfully) but I highly recommend getting a smaller sample and testing this first. I hardly smell anything other than fir and cedar. Maybe a powdery slightly dated amber. Such a bummer.

An unusual elemi fragrance that should traditionally be warm but this is so uplifting it’s almost sparkling! Woody, resinous ambery magic ✨ this is effortlessly sexy and chic. I’ve received more compliments while wearing this perfume than any other. It’s extremely remarkable, posh, and beautiful. I’ve been asked by three different women in a short time frame what it was. Some thought I was wearing Baccarat Rouge or Jo Malone, which makes sense, as it definitely shares a lot of the notes as those famous fragrances. But it’s unique. I was told by another woman that I should make this my signature scent. And I do wear very often, mostly between October - January. The pine, orange, and clove accords make me primarily want to wear it in late fall and near Christmas time as well as in January. But I think it would be refreshing in the summer woods. It is bright, smells expensive and expertly made. Very original and somewhat uncommon but comforting. It makes me feel cheerful. This has become my signature scent for the holidays, while Jo Malone’s Nectarine Blossom and Honey is my scent for spring and summer.

I've worn Elixir des Merveilles for years but had zero experience with the original until now. I wasn't prepared for how weird it is, how it seems to predict certain salty/marine fragrances like Secretions Magnifique or even Silence the Sea. It has the same experimental tinkering with established perfume structure and notes, the same rejection of florality in favor of dry, woody, and metallic—not so much a perfume as a vibe. The only nod to tradition is the inclusion of an orange note, but even that skews austere, like the sharp-but-also-dusty-smelling mist of orange oil that shoots off the peel when you dig your finger in. Interesting, but I prefer the sunnier nature of Elixir.

An uplifting and elegant ambery scent, with fresh, spicy, orange and woody nuances. Sparkling and energizing, but also comforting in its warmth.

Water of Marvels. Indeed, it is. It‘s fresh, fruity but not too sweet, a bit sparkling - a happy scent. Maybe a tiny bit salty? Top notes stay long which totally surprised me because they are citrus notes. Doesn‘t change much which I like. Gets only a bit softer over time but still with some freshness/ some citrus. Love! Amazing formula. I also got the Shimmer perfume dry oil. Starts out like the perfume but changes into a slightly different scent over time.

Nice, clean, fresh. Got this for my girlfriend since she enjoyed smelling it at Macy's. Its an orange/amber bomb, that's all you need to know.

A nice, light fresh summery fragrance with citrus notes. Shame the bottle design is so awful. It keeps falling over on my shelf (30ml)

Gorgeous looking bottle but cannot say the same for the water inside. This is a very light orangy cologne predominantly peppery. Very outdated for what you receive at the given price. If you like scent profiles like Iperborea or Beach walk I can take an educated guess that you may like this.

This is what I imagine a fairy smells like. Living in the woods, snacking on a big juicy orange. Bright, fresh, inoffensive. It is absolutely lovely to me.

Eau des Merveilles was a scent I was really looking forward to trying, but sadly has not lived up to expectations; in fact it smells rather weird. Upon first spray it transports me to swimming pool toilets, particularly the smell of chlorine reacting with the old floor tiles. It’s a little unpleasant to begin with, but thankfully this settles and transforms into some kind of dull olive smell with a bitter orange and airy surface cleaner. Doesn’t sound like a nice mix does it? Its not awful, but it certainly doesn’t smell how I was expecting it to. Sadly not a love for me which was a shock as I usually love Hermès creations.

Starts off with watery citrus and is fresh but not overly fruity. Fairly neutral despite all the notes, leaning warm. This would be pretty great as an everyday scent. It's complex but not heavy or overwrought. Also season less. I am not getting the strong pine note others are experiencing, it's there, and a has a hint of pine sol, but not extreme. Overall, it doesn't project very far on me and could be worn to a variety of occasions.

Sparkling, efervescent magic in a bottle!

How I love this sunny water for all people! In the cold season it's a Christmas tree and cookies; in the warm season it's a sawmill in the wild forest. The sawn wood smolders sweetly, surrounded by spicy herbs and tart thickets. The joy of life. Unisex.

I do not smell what the other reviewers seem to smell. It just smells like a generic pine cologne on my skin. Meh.

This one is truly a layered and multifaceted fragance. It is very classy and elegant as to wear to a wedding or a formal event, but it also goes perfectly when paired with your favorite pair of denim jeans and a boho silk or cotton blouse, for a trip to the market or a book store. It also fits perfectly with every season (I tend to avoid it during spring because I have some other fragances that are more floral that I feel like using much more during spring than this one, but it could perfectly be a spring fragance). It smells wonderfully breezy and adventurous during the summer, like a road trip, a day walking through the woods, the heat brings out some of the notes that lay much more dormant when used during cold days. During the cold it becomes much more classy, much more festive, like christmas lights, amber, moss and pine, woodsy, with just the right amount of powder that the violet grants without becoming powdery (it's the breezyness that one can feels during the hot days, in cold days becomes some sort of powder, but it's still incredibly comfortable and cozy). I just smelled it once and decided to buy it without wearing it before hand, took the risk and now I feel like it's going to be one of my all time favorites. Very beautiful, femenine without being girly (I love girly fragances) alas can be perceived as unisex (and can be used by anyone regardless of gender by all means). I absolutely love it! Now I'm curious about the other ones of this line.
