Ajwad

I was recommended this one by a friend of mine and picked it up on his advice. The first reaction was that I love the bottle and on initial spray the second reaction was one of considerable, quite surprised enthusiasm. It is a thick, juicy fruit powerhouse but isn't sickly or saccharine. It is fairly linear and is dominated by the way a heavy rose accord works with some sunny jasmine to keep the heart fresh. There is some pear, apple and a citrus accord in the head that keeps the florals from running away over the hills and far away. I get a powerful musk with some vanillins and some resolute woods holding this up like the uprights of a bridge. It leans feminine but is easily wearable for a confident man, and would be an amazing office wearer because of its energy. Interestingly, Ajwad is also quite significant in my view because of what we do not see here. There is no caramel in the base for one thing, which is a bit unusual given the notes. We also see no tonka, benzoin, Iso E Super or even any Ambroxan or Ambrofix as a fixative in this. If one of the niche Parisian houses was doing this, people would be taking a lot more notice. It is a genuinely really technically excellent bit of perfumery, even if it isn't very nuanced. Lattafa are a house better known for their dupes which I think is a shame because I think their best work is not in creating clones but doing their own thing, and we see this very clearly in Ajwad. It makes me want to look a bit deeper into their collection to see what else there is that I haven't tried yet. You want a summery, bright, very well-blended floral/fruit combo with a wood and vanilla base that will last you all day, and that makes you smile when you spray it and every time you sniff your wrist? Look no further. This is very impressive stuff and must rank as one of the better recommendations I've had recently. I have always loved this fragrance. I grab for it a lot during colder weather. It's sweet, floral, vanilla beast mode. It's a cuddle cozy scent for me. Easy blind buy and budget friendly.

Had this for a year, now, and I think it’s a lovely sweet vanilla rose, but I’m realizing these type of scent profiles aren’t really for me. This is a warm, sensual, feminine rose that I think is a perfect evening scent for fall. It’s really beautiful, just not my personal taste. I love the scent of roses but I just can’t really get into it when it’s perfume, for some reason.

On paper the notes seem pleasant, but I got the bottle today and at first sniff it's disgusting. I'm sorry but this is a pungent smell! I don't know how to describe it... dried dead roses blitzed together with rotten fruits. Now I have a headache coming on. I really wanted to love this, its a beautiful bottle. If anyone wants this for half price ping me, I've done like 5 sprays on a t-shirt so its almost a full bottle.

I've owned this for around 7 months now, and I can confidently say that maceration is a real thing and isn't BS. Don't get me wrong; when I first smelled the tester in the store, it smelled incredible. I can see why people rate this as a more feminine-leaning scent, but as a guy, I genuinely enjoy the sweetness. Back then I didn't know Fragrantica was a thing, so I just had to guess what it smelled like. If I could help anyone describe it, "It's like you've handpicked a bunch of your granny's finest fruits in her backyard and sat in the garden filled with flowers to eat with her, being shaded by the huge oak tree that is older than you by at least a 100 years." The vanilla could almost be dismissed entirely because, for me (personally), the drydown is way more woodsy than vanillic. It's a pretty obvious disclaimer that this is NOT BLIND BUY SAFE. Your nose has to like this fragrance; otherwise, you'd end up like @Austin234 or @ishasarah89 below me, because this is neither cheap-smelling nor does it smell like pen ink. It smells like a nice basket of fruits with a rose bouquet. Sillage and longevity are pretty decent as far as Lattafa goes, a good 5 hours for me with the first 1&1/2 hours being the projective period; after that, it becomes an intimate bubble of rose and ambery woods. can be worn year-round, to be honest; it's versatile as freak, the fruitiness can be considered freshie status, whilst the base wood and amber drydown can be a good evening night out for coffee or a date night I do have to warn, though, if you are prone to sweating or have BO, the rose + base notes can come off pretty animalic and urine-y. My brother was the one who had tested this; he wore this to go for a run 💀. Don't ask me why. After half a year, this gets a solid 8.5/10; if it were to have projected longer, this would easily be one of my signatures. Good job, Lattafa!

Good pickup for less than 30 euro for 60ml. Make sure you like rose if you're looking to buy this. Sweet opening, kind of fresh from the fruity bits but develops into a rose-heavy, sweet little treat on my skin over the first half hour. Performance is decent enough to last half of the day and reaches out to about arms length for the first hour after which the scent gets more intimate in reach. Smell developed into a unique blend of sweet and almost tangy in the opening over a couple of months after the first spray.

I just picked this one up yesterday and smelled it for the first time, then wore it to bed! Love it a lot. Very jammy and accessible rose and sweet pink fruity smell of maybe lychee and apple. So glad I bought it.

Smells like pen ink

Smells cheap, I didn’t like it.

This has quickly become one of my favorites. To me it kinda smells like Montale's intense cafe (which I love) without the coffee, with a touch of fruitiness at the top, and also a touch of woodiness at the base. It is a really nice syrupy rose scent that leans almost gourmand tbh. You definitely get the vanilla too though not overpowering as its very well blended in with the rose. Same goes for the jasmine. The fruitiness at the top is the hardest part of the fragrence to describe for me as its pretty hard to pin down what fruits are used here, but whatever is used has a bubblegumy sweet character to it, however, its not overly sweet nor harsh. The fragrence in general while pretty sweet and dense is pretty smooth after the very intial spray. I can kinda see how people get a metallic character from this as the intial spray has a sorta cooling effect to it but it definitely warms up pretty quick. Last forever on clothing and on skin still testing longevity but the first 2 hours the projection was pretty strong. Radiated off the skin like crazy. For the next 2 hours It started to project a little bit less, forming a nice scent bubble. After, it only got closer and closer to the skin, becoming a skin scent after around 6 hours. Maybe lasting for another 2-4 hours as a skin scent. Very linear ofc but I appreciate linear frags. As much as I love Intense Cafe, this to me does the Vanilla Rose combo a bit better as it is more wearable. I can see myself wearing this all seasons, where as Intense cafe I can barely even see myself wearing it even when its most optimal. Ofc Ik this isnt a dupe of Intense Cafe, nor is it a dupe of Roses Vanille, if anything it is likely a dupe of Magic by Al-Jazeera but it definitely fulfills the role of Intense Cafe for me and then some. Its also dirt cheap. I got this for $18 so its hard to even consider me getting something like Roses Vanille if I wanted something similar to Intense Cafe.

I bought it just out of curiosity, and only half a bottle at that. It was supposedly already a matured perfume, because it opened with a very pleasant and especially well-balanced scent. At first, I was wrapped in a gummy-candy rose accord. It felt quite provocative, with a party-like, sensual vibe. Then it shifted into a softer vanilla. I should mention that vanilla is not usually one of my favorites, but this one I can definitely tolerate. I think I could smell it on myself for at least 4 hours, after which it turned into a slightly woody-fruity, less vanilla-heavy drydown. Its longevity is mind-blowing. I have never worn a scent quite like this before. It faintly reminds me of other perfume too, for example Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme, but overall it feels quite unique and genuinely pleasant. I was a bit skeptical at first when I tried it and the vanilla hit me, but somehow it took hold of me, and over time it softens so much that it becomes addictive. I tried it both in the evening and during the day, and in both settings I felt great in its scent cloud. Very few perfumes are this potent and long-lasting. You can smell it for at least 10 hours. True, not as intensely as in the first 2 hours, but it remains really pleasant.

This is the most feminine fragrance I don’t mind wearing. It was gifted to me and at first I was like dang it’s too girly. But after wearing it to bed one night it felt nice and cozy and intoxicating. In the morning I could still smell it. I was in denial like nah this is too feminine but why deny myself this enjoyable fragrance that I do not get tired of smelling on me all day. It’s a beastly performer, 2 sprays (or 3 if you like to spray heavy) should suffice. If you’re a guy that enjoys freshies this will be totally different from what you’re used to but I recommend you buy it and give it a couple chances lol worse case you lose out on $20, best case scenario it’s a steal for an amazing unique fragrance.

This was the ONE paper test strip that I didn't write the fragrance name on because it didn't stand out to me at the time, and then later, I was like: "WAIT, what is this?!" I went back to the store and retraced my steps to find that it was in fact Ajwad. Ajwad was such a beautiful discovery. I feel like it scratches the unusual scent niche for me. It reminds me of the fragrances with the odd, subtle rice notes like Blue Madeleine, but with notes that elevate it and make it actually lovely and not just soft weirdness. Ajwad is a beautiful weirdness that is so well blended, I didn't even pick the rose note until I looked it up. Please tell me there are more fragrances with rose notes that are this balanced because I can't do another pink pepper and rose fragrance. PS - I ordered Ajwad Pink to Pink. I know lightning doesn't strike twice, but it sounds fascinating and I can't wait to try it and give it time.

It is not rose, fruity, vanilla, powdery, musky, or white floral. It is thick, heavy, and masculine. It's gross and not wearable.

Maybe I have a bad batch but the metallic note is too offensive I dare say disgusting even.. really disappointed because I liked the body spray and was hoping I'd get the same scent but with a stronger performance from the perfume

Not bad, great spillage and projection. It smells like Welch's white grape juice to me. Save blind buy probably for a woman but it's too femme for the average bro. Best for colder weather.

One of my favourite fragrances. It's very unique. It doesn't smell like else anything I own and I have a lot. I constantly smell myself when wearing it.

Terrible, overpowering fragrance. I don't smell any fruity, rose, or jasmine. There is nothing feminine about this but I wouldn't want to smell it on a man, either.

Just like with Sakeena, it’s giving me grape wine/jam vibes and not a big fan of that. Only thing I like is the bottle, other than that it’s a no for me and would not suggest blind buying at all.

I thought I liked this but something has changed. I had it for about 2 years before recently decluttering. It was, after maturing for a couple months, a soft and sweet jammy rose. However, it now is metallic and synthetic smelling. I even put it away for a little while longer because sometimes it is my hormones or mood affecting how I perceive the scent. No.... it is in dud territory sadly. I can smell a shadow of what it once was but it now has a distinct off putting sharpness. I'm sad tbh :(

If Mancera's roses vanille had an extrait this would be it. This is a deeper, richer RV.

This smells like fresh ripe muscadines. I would pick them and eat them off the vine at my grandparents house every summer as a kid. This brings me right back to my childhood. Love it. Definitely not blind buy safe, though. She’s s t r o n g.

This fragrance smells like Phlur’s Rose Whip. It does need to sit for a very long time tho.

People lie just to get comission. I love ajwad so much this is my third bottle. I wanted to know what it was a dupe of and i cant find anything with the unique smell that this ine has. Out all.of my 250 fragrances that I own this will always be my top tier. Every time I wear this scent someone always ask me what am I wearing. This scent last and last and it linger like crazy

I drew a skull on a sample bottle. Impossible to wear, it's killing my nose and I can't wash it from my hand.
