This Is the only perfum I like from Erbolario. Very masculine.

Non sapevo fosse riconosciuto come profumo maschile, io l'ho utilizzato ormai qualche anno fa ma lo apprezzo sempre molto, caldo, confortevole e perfetto su un maglioncino!

As others have said below this is basically a clone of Musc Ravageur but with less longevity and sillage. In some circumstances, the toned down performance is actually a good thing. I am happy to have them both. Edit: after a few weeks of owning this, I'm liking it less. Something is too citrusy in the opening here, that gives it a sharpness that isn't in MR. Still a nice fragrance as it dries down, and I enjoy it as a bedtime scent.

Definitely very close to Musc Ravageur which I always liken to Pledge wood furniture polish from the 90s. That stuff must have the same blend of fragrance in it because the smell to me is identical! The biggest let down with Meharées is, as others have noted, the performance; with Musc Ravageur, just a few sprays can still be smelt the next day, this stuff is gone within a few hours! I'm glad a brought a bottle for less than £40 with shipping but I think I would stick to the original and save it for special occasions.

Almost done with my sample, and still not sure how to feel about this. It's a relatively good-quality fragrance with an interesting, yet wearable scent profile - in theory. However, it feels just oddly characterless to me. Opens up with a strong kick of cinnamon and citrus, which never fails to make me sneeze. Then becomes ambigiously spicy-woody-musky with a slight sweetness, and stays like that until it disappears. To me, it smells a lot like the contents of a scent diffuser you'd find in a spa that leans towards more traditional relaxation methods - it's like it tries to be somewhat "exotic", but loses its appeal with how blended together and muted its notes are. It's also strangely irritating to my nose in the physical sense - to the point it's possible to get a slight headache if I spray a bit too much of it, and I'm normally very tolerant of VERY heavy fragrances. Strange, but not for the same reasons niche fragrances are strange - just feels plain and sort of unrefined.

L'ho riprovato stasera e mi ricorda ampiamente l'opium del 2009, meno piccante ma sul genere. E poi chiaramente Musc ravageur come già detto. Mirra,cannella,arancia, datteri, vaniglia patchouli sono le note piu chiare percepite

This is fun. I’m someone who avoids vanilla and ambers, but this is light and airy and softly spicy and I enjoy it.

What a delightful surprise! This perfume appears so demure - it comes in a modest box, bottle and a modest price to match, but the scent is anything but modest. It is rich, layered, sophisticated and smells expensive, like a cleaned up Musc Ravageur that took a shower, put away the filthy clothes and got ready for a chill night at home. Aromatic spices, cinnamon and something vaguely cannibis-like with a soft roundedness. The patchouli is really clean and creamy and the vanilla even reminds me a little bit of Shalimar. It's so worth the price - very happy with my purchase.

Decent, dry and musky. I get the cinnamon on top for sure, then it dries down and smells like myrrh, imho. Crowd pleaser and has good longevity with moderate sillage. Most of the wear is a dry woody spiced vanilla. UPDATE: This one just continues to grow on me. Initially I was wishing for Akkad like I mention below, but this one is a little more (consistently) wearable for me. Akkad is purely for cold weather, but Meharees blurs that line and is a softer more "office friendly" profile. My boyfriend loves this one and I have found myself reaching for her pretty frequently lately! Wearing this one kind of makes me wish I'd grabbed Akkad instead, though. I would place them in the same genre, but I'm not going to say they're entirely similar. Both are balanced very well and do give me the same kind of spice. In comparison, Akkad is creamier, resinous, and has crazy sillage. Price difference is pretty considerable though!

Really good. It’s like Musc Ravageur without as much ‘musc’ which I almost prefer, the opulence, that isn’t covered in that white musk. I think Musc Ravageur used to be more like this one, possibly tiny but more animalic even, I’m not sure. This is beautiful quality for the price.

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned at all. On me this smells almost exactly like Jicky by Guerlain for the first 30 minutes. Very aromatic, and distinctly lavenderesque (which is not even listed). It dries down to a spicy, woody vanilla. But I can't get over how similar it is to Jicky initially. I also have a very hard time perceiving this as a distinctly masculine fragrance. It's entirely unisex, but I'd find it easier to believe it's targeted to women based on how mellow it is. This is lovely.

The opening smells like the freshest vacation somewhere beautiful - like you have arrived to your destination of ease and fun for the forseeable future.. Its clean and relaxed and fresh and it knows what to say next, and isn't in a hurry at all. Its spicy though! and it's woody and complex and also blended well. I think this may be too spicy for spring, and perhaps too spicy for me, but I have a 2ml sample and I so I will see if I reach for it.

I want do be buried with this! It’s so warm and comforting, with a hint of sweetness from the vanilla and the musk, but what really defines this fragrance is it’s warmth. The cinnamon and woody notes gives it that perfect spice and depth while the musk and vanilla balances it out perfectly (but not too much, it’s still heavier on the spice). I can’t get enough of this! You can wear this all year round, to any and every occasion. Perfectly unisex, smells amazing on both me and my boyfriend. As far as projection and longevity goes, i think it projects really well and for quite some time. You can smell it on your skin several hours later, still smelling almost as if you just applied it. Lasts on my skin 6-8 hours. If you like warm, spicy scents with hints of musk and vanilla, you NEED to get this!

This is a beautiful warm hug in a fragrance, it’s delightfully comforting. This was a blind buy as someone mentioned this smells like Organza Indécence Givenchy which I’ve been seeking an alternative for since it was discontinued years ago. This is less complex, but there are elements of it there. I think it sits somewhere between Organza Indécence and Opium Fraicheur d'Orient YSL. The initial hit of cinnamon, orange, bergamot and rose doesn’t last long, but the depth of warm wood, vanilla, amber and musk that comes after and clings close to the skin is simply delightful. It lasted 8 hours on my skin, but longer on my clothes, which still smell of it days later. It’s great value for the price so would suggest layering with the body cream to extend that.

I wore this for years and went through 3-4 bottles of it. Highly recommend it if you like warm, spicy scents but want something that is easy to wear on an everyday basis. I'm very surprised myrrh isn't listed here, because to me it smells strongly like a good quality myrrh essential oil with cinnamon, but sweeter. The dry down is very nice clean, sandalwood + musk. Overall it's a beautiful unisex fragrance that can totally be worn all year around imo

It's strange that on Fragrantica it is listed as "for men." I am Italian and remember when this fragrance was released. It was always presented and promoted as a feminine fragrance and only later as unisex. In fact, on L'Erbolario's website, the brand describes it as: "An explosion of spicy, woody, and amber notes. Fresh accords, enriched by warmer and velvety tones, with a sweet and delicate base: here is a fragrance that every woman likes. And it also enchants men." The last sentence, "And it also enchants men," was added later. This morning, I went to a L'Erbolario store and mentioned to the sales assistant that here it is listed as for men. She was utterly astonished and said it was incredibly surprising; according to her experience and the sales statistics of the fragrance from its launch to today, it has always been a product sold 99,9% to women. She even mentioned that she had never sold one to a man. Therefore, to be accurate according to the actual positioning, which is also the brand's chosen one, it should be moved to the women’s fragrances or at most unisex, certainly not among the men's. That said, it is a fragrance that truly evokes a desert journey—warm, spicy, and embracing. I love it very much, and not just for the cold season; because it evokes dunes and oases, for me it is a scent that conceptually evokes the warmth of the desert and, with a light spritz, is quite wearable even in the height of summer. I don’t know Musc Ravageur, so I can’t make comparisons. If you’re looking for a warm, spicy, vanilla-sweet fragrance that’s not cloying, I recommend trying it. If you like Opium and are looking for something more enveloping, powdery, and gourmand, it could be a good option, but always worth testing. It’s not a safe blind buy, IMHO.

I got this near the beginning of my fragrance journey after hearing about its supposed similarity to Musc Ravageur. Smelled not only feminine, but grandmotherly. Sold it as quick as it could. Did not enjoy at all.

If you like music ravageur you can blind buy this. Not nearly as woody as the fragrantica note breakdown suggests. I get, in order of prominence: cream, myrrh, cinnamon, orange, chocolate, coffee

A very pleasant scent. Unfortunately, its durability is 30-45 minutes for me.

I smelled it today for the first time, and I find it really weird that the notes listed here include neither dates nor myrrh, both of which I found very noticable. I definitely liked it - it is way edgier than I had assumed, and less sweet. At some moment in the future, I should like to get a bottle. (Two days later, I ordered it. It's really an appealing scent.) Now I have it, but on the skin I sadly don't get any myrrh. It is somewhat sharp but also undeniably sweet. I sprayed three times two hours ago and I'm still enveloped in a cloud of sweet oriental fragrance. A little less would have done. I fear it might become nauseating. I'm not sure I like it as much on me as I did onthe test strip. But I do find it somehow comforting, so I'll wear it for a while and see how it goes. Ok, I definitely cannot wear it, even if I only spray once, it is too sweet and overpowering for me. Anyone in Colombia who wants to buy it at a cheap price can PM me. Ok, I actually hate it - it's just one sickly sweet stench that sticks to everything and never wears off. Whatever I smelled in the store which reminded my of dates and myrrh was not what I received when I ordered it. It's nauseating, cloying and headache inducing. It has no edge whatsoever, it's absolutely one dimensional: sweet. I also cannot imagine that any man would wear this, despite it being offered as unisex. Just awful.

I purchased a bottle of this from Greece through 365pharmacy on eBay since it was hard to find. Here's my impression of this fragrance: Very similar to the base/DNA of Musc Ravageur - it gets the amber and oriental spicy notes almost identical to Musc Ravageur. But it is severely lacking when compared to Musc Ravageur. Part of what makes Musc Ravageur is the beautiful animalic notes enveloped around musk. That is what gives Musc Ravageur its character. Want Musc Ravageur but without the animalic notes and musk that gives Much Ravageur its character and is ultimately the most important parts of Musc Ravageur and why people want to buy it? Then buy Méharées instead. It's essentially Musc Ravageur without the animalic notes and musk. Way more wearable and less polarising but nowhere near as sexy and masculine. All Méharées captures is the amber base and spices found in Musc Ravageur and nothing else. There is musk in Méharées but it comes across much much lighter than the fairly intense musk found in Musc Ravageur. The amber is a lot more pronounced/at the forefront of Méharées in comparison to Musc Ravageur and is a creamier and sweeter amber than that found in Musc Ravageur. Also Méharées is much more vanillic. 8/10 - Great for the price and very sophisticated/complex for its price-point. Great if you want a non-polarising version of Musc Ravageur without the animalic notes and musk - only the amber base and spicy notes found in Musc Ravageur.

Over the years I have used 2-3 bottles of this gem & that alone I believe is enough to sum up my take on the fragrance. IG: @Eclectic.Scents

Really love this one Nostalgic

This reminds me of dates with spiced milk. It`s a very warm, cozy and comforting scent. Almost edible. Edit: I have just bought it a few days ago, after my initial sniff test in Italy last year. I don't know what I was smelling back then, but now I don't smell the lactonic note and dates anymore. The first spray is leaning on the more masculine side for me. All I get is masculine, warm, spices. But, once it settles a bit it's becoming more unisex and the cinnamon becomes very present with a creamy/soapy undertone. On my skin it does not last longer than 2 hours, on my clothes? 3 days by now. I sprayed this on my shirt and it still smells and I gotta say, day 3 smells the best. It's musky, soapy, warm, little bit spicy and a sweet. This has such a good lasting power and how the scent developed over the past days is really amazing. I was not sure if I want to keep it, after the completely different and masculine scent experience I had as compared to when I smelled it the first time. But now: This is a keeper!

My L’Erbolario store experience: I was underwhelmed by some of the fragrances I expected to adore, case in point, (still nothing I dislike, though) and absolutely fell for a couple that I thought I'd pass on. Meharees was such a big disappointment to me! I honestly didn’t get any of those amazing notes listed, my kind of notes for a fall scent. My experience with Meharees is that it is a very faint and dull and forgettable scent. Nothing intense here just a bit of vanilla, cinnamon and amber with some vague woodiness in the background. It’s not a bad smelling scent but it’s too faint and short lived to worth the money. And it’s not an expensive scent!! I hope I am not offending anyone here, but I don’t recommend this to anyone past the age of 14, because it’s like a whisper of the scent I felt it should have been with such great notes listed. I have body spray that last longer and are more intense smelling than this eau de perfume!

It smells like dried dates and warm spices. It’s beautiful, comforting and sweet but not overpowering. Longevity is poor. But still a beautiful scent.

‘Meharees’ roughly translates as a “journey on camelback”, and I couldn’t think of a more appropriate name. Meharees sits in the same “dry amber” realm as fragrances as L’Air Du Desert Marocain & Sahara Noir. Myrhh gives it a Middle Eastern/North African vibe and the sweetness of the dates is a smart little trick that makes it both unique and more approachable. Guaiac wood lends a very subtle vanillic smokiness. Love the image on the box, and a very affordable, less skanky alternative to (not replacement for) Musc Ravageur.

This is such a warm, fuzzy, cozy perfume. Unisex completely as you get a little sharpness from the citrus in the top and it’s really quite woody in the mid but everything blends beautifully and any harsh edges are rounded out with warm spices, balsamic accords, beautiful vanilla and musks. The musk isn’t animalic or overdone. My bottle is over 3 years old now and it certainly has deepened up—the vanilla and amber have thickened and the spices have macerated somewhat, the sandalwood is rich and the rose just a little more pronounced. Top note citruses haven’t vanished or “turned” but they’re less sharp and bold, for sure. This is a delightful creation—it’s like you’re inside a log cabin, sat at a huge carved wooden table sipping on a mulled blood orange concoction with cinnamon and vanilla… a different image to what the perfume name suggests—Mehari I believe is a journey on camelback so evokes an image of the desert and possibly the scent of spices wafting in the dry wind from merchant caravans in tiny villages where the true Bedouins reside… their tents and their animals, children running barefoot reaching up to ride along with you… only found between the dunes by those who wander by camelback. A special fragrance and affordable, too. Long lasting and ever so comforting.

Better version of Musc Ravageur for a fraction of the price. In Musc Ravageur the musks are just a bit overdosed in my opinion, almost covering up the rest of the notes. Meharées on the other hand is all about the mid and top notes. It's one of the best warm spicy scents I've ever tried and it proves that price doesn't always translate to quality. Beware of reviews that are praising MR as being far superior to this. They are mostly from people who already owned MR only to discover that this is much much better and are now upset that they wasted so much money for nothing.
