Bottle for trade. If interested DM
Not my cup of tea
I just got this today. Sprayed the inside of my elbow and smelled it throughout the day. Definitely lavender prominent, so hopefully it can have some relaxing properties to it. There are alot of notes in this, but for the most part I could only recognize the lavender. There's definitely sophistication with this smell for the distinguished gentleman. Very good night on the town I suppose. Looking forward for opportunities to wear this. The bottle is very nice as well. Jomashop has a good deal on this one. 8/10(for now)
Stunning and powdery lavender heavy scent with spices, florals, woods and musk plus a few more notes thrown in for good measure! Plenty of quality ingredients that amalgamate to produce a gorgeously aromatic and quite unique take on the barbershop/fougere style of perfume. What you get is a pungent, very noticeable attention grabbing scent that'll initially project for a couple of metres, lasting an hour or two. It drops off slowly for another 2 -3 hours until it becomes a very pleasant skin scent that lasts for many hours more. It's really difficult to know where to recommend who, where, when and why to wear this fragrance such is the individuality of Black Gold. It's probably more for a well presented slightly older man who can either dress up to look effortlessly impeccable or is one of those fellas that looks and dresses like an aging rockstar but carries it off! 😂. I also think this would be amazing on the right woman, think bohemian-chic or again the rock chick style done well! To me it smells niche and gives off the vibes of someone who is reasonably wealthy but doesn't ever mention it, but everyone knows by their effortless style and laid-back, charismatic demeanour. You know the bastards I mean! 😆 Strangely, I often wear this when it's approaching bedtime! Something about the powerful, vintage lavender aroma just comforts me! I'll still be able to detect it easily upon waking the following day too. But, I've happily worn this in the heat and cold of the day, out and about on errands and trips or functions in the evening. It's fair to say this is a versatile scent but only if it's your thing! It's one aroma I think it's imperative to try and sample if possible due to being so different to the mainstream, having said that I can't imagine many people outright disliking it! I love it and so do the women in my life, no I'm not a Casanova! 😆 I'm talking about my wonderful wife, miserable older teenage daughter, also a couple of lady (and one male) neighbours all mentioned my scent while chatting in the street, all approved. Very well priced, above average performance and something a little different that'll make a great, easily identifiable signature scent, standing out amongst most other fragrances.
I bought this around 2 years ago after a brief 2ml decant wear, and wore it once or twice. At the time it wasn't my thing, it was too aromatic for my nose and very strong. I tried it again recently, but this time I LIGHTLY sprayed it, and I must say, lighter application made me really appreciate it more. It's rather nice, and I can see a use case for it. For me this is ideal for fall and maybe early spring. It's lavender dominant, so if that's not your thing you wont like this. I also think it suits 30 and up, dressed up slightly (like business casual). It went from a ok/like to a love for me, but only with light application.
really strong, smells like a dark lavender soap, really unique also, i just got bored of it so i regret purchasing the whole 120ml. Also this is NOT for summer, it's way too strong for higher temps.
The opening is interesting, in a good way. This would be better if the base notes lasted longer though. After a few hours the dry-down turns to mostly a lavender bomb. It is relaxing but not really manly in the dry-down, to my nose. It'll be ok for something different a home. If the leather and woods lasted throughout I would wear this out. After a few hours it is too much of an older vibe lavender.
Amazing, unique uber-masculine fragrance that will be always overlooked due to the house being a niche clone brand. I give this a STRONG 10/10
This has been my daily wear for over a year now, so it feels right for this this to be first frag review. The scent itself: It opens with jasmine and citrus, and cinnamon in the background. As it dries down, it settles into a lavender-musky base, think a refined, soft barbershop vibe. It's a floral masculine smell done right imo. Performance: Longevity is solid. I can't give a hour-by-hour breakdown, but I'm still catching it on myself after a full day of work from a morning spray (3-5 sprays). The projection is worth noting too, pretty good but it's not cloying, It's more of an airy presence, something you'll catch a whiff of rather than something that creates scent bubble. Have I gotten compliments wearing it? Yes, but I wouldn't call it a compliment getter. But people will smell it though if they're around you. Final thought: I wear this fragrance everyday bc I find It's unique without being offensive and clean without being boring. The bottle, the smell, the whole thing, it has to be discovered. That's the best way I can describe it. This isn't a fragrance that is likely to stop someone in their track, or turn heads, or go viral on social media. It doesn't need to, it's not trying to. Refreshing in the era of fast fashion consumerism and attention economy.
Dark,floral,oudy,violet good for nights
Dont judge a book by its cover. This is absolutely not what it looks to be. This is a beautiful , fresh spicy, aromatic, woody and powdery scent with a creamy leathery base. Drydown so smooth and soapy. So versatile and very office safe. 3 season fragrance. IMO top 10 or even top 5 Mancera
Nose Note #926 In the air it felt amazing, beautifully powdery with lavender and something floral. I wanted to get deeper into it and reapplied it on my hand to dig in. And oh boy, this was a turn away. Super strong chocolate violet note which smells revolting to me. In the air this felt just great, but now I can't unsmell this note of violet. I hope I'll get pass this violet again, but for now this is a no-no. I can't say it's earthy or woody. Definately a leather accord there, distantly reminding me of Fahrenheit. Powdery, unisex leaning feminine. A lot of florals. Soapy! Confidently strong. Nice sillage. Again, in the air (trying to forget the violet) it's great. 6/10, waiting for violet to go away...
I wanted to love this but I have to say it disappointed me a bit. The lavender in this is very nice and it has a good earthy, woody opening. But on my skin this turns kinda bad pretty soon and there's something that's a bit rotten smelling, like earthy forest. Very masculine and strong though. If you want a straight up man's man fragrance from Mancera this is it. But try it before buying.
one of my favourite Mancera perfumes. Doesn't feel too synthetic, spicy and warm but a bit sweet. I prefer other perfumes with this profile but this is a great one that lasts quite a bit.
still don’t get the hate this house receives. From an ROI standpoint, it’s a seriously solid fragrance house. The bottle presentation, the atomizer, the magnetic cap & most importantly the juice itself all justify the price you pay. I will keep championing this brand... have over a dozen bottles for a reason. Discovered an incredible layering combo last night by mistake, wore it to bed & it absolutely blew me away...Black Gold layered with Jasmin Exclusif… chef’s kiss. 💋👌🏽✨ Ranking my Mancera collection, they are all bangers IMO.. 1.Aoud Lemon Mint 2.Royal Vanilla 3.Black Prestigium 4. Hindu Kush 5. Jasmin Exclusif 6. Precious Oud 7.Tonka Cola 8.Intense Red Tobacco 9.Black Gold 10.Sand Aoud 11.Soleil d'ltalie 12.Amberful 13.Aoud Exclusive 14.Aoud Violet 15.Roses Vanille
straight gas ⛽️ beautiful masculine lavender scent, literally can rock this anytime any day & the dry down is fcking beautiful
The opening you get a wonderful floral burst: jasmine, violet being prominent with rose and the ocean/ sea note making it so clean and "wet." The patchouli and cinnamon is subtle, its sweet woodiness at skin level. The dry down keeps the ocean note and combined with the musk and amber bring outs a warm clean freshness. The leather and oud start showing uo abour 15 minutes in. The leather note is so clean and smooth! Very akin to the black leather of ombre leather. Its exquisite! Mancera perfumes always transform dramatically. Its like a dance for the nose. Its why theyre my favorite perfume house. The notes never seem to do the scebt justice. You expect one thing and mancera makes it in a way that is so beyond the expected. Im not sure how original of a smell it is. Its name is very deceiving. With Black Gold, you expect a dominant oud, incense, black musk and/or a deep amber resin scent. It reminds me of Mancera Deep Forest, if the lavendar was toned down and an ocean note applied. I prefer deep Forest, it smells much mote unique to me. For those wanting a clean, aquatic floral with a nice smoothet leafther note this would be great. Sillage and longevity are excellent. I feel it can be utilized any season, day or night and absolutelt unisex. I feel Mancera is really good, if not the best, at creating true unisex perfumes.
Great lavander barbershop cologne. Old school vibe, great strength and projection, day or night this work 8/10
I picked up a decant of Mancera Black Gold and gave it several wears. On my skin it’s very rose-forward with some leather in the background, and even a couple hours in the rose is still dominant. It definitely smells high quality and lasts a long time, but the overall vibe is too old-school for me. It honestly reminds me of my grandma—like an expensive, well-made soap with a polished, classic feel. It’s not loud or offensive by any means, just not something I’d ever reach for.
# Black Gold Mancera edp https://manceraparfums.us/products/black-gold ## Top Note Description First impression right after application Subtle and yet puncturing, high pitched. 20% of that throw up smell I sense in many perfumes... and now its shifting into the smell of artificial candy flavoring... artificial and unsettling... not liking it. One of the fragrance world's best kept secrets.
Longevity - 8,5/10 (lasts 6-10hours for me) Sillage - 8-9/10 (Depending on skin, really good sillage) Weather - All except winter nights(too fresh and lavander for that) or summer days (too sweet and strong for that), summer nights and winter days also work with this one so it can be used a lot, it also smells professional and clean so you can wear it as signature scent. Smell for me - 9-10/10 if JPG le male got perfected with some leather while removing that vanilla and created in modern with good performance way this would be it. not a safe blind buy tho, if you like JPG le male type of fragrance you could like this.
I can detect strong nutmeg even after 6h with this one.I don't like this one.
Smells like a clean shower gel, very fresh and refreshing ... somewhat minty fresh dont know why .. maybe its the patchouli??
I have, I don't know, five hundred fragrances (majority niche although I don't like that term), and if any of them deserves to be worn in winter with a suit, it is this one. The one I would wear for summer with a suit in a similar way would be Amouage Honour Man. I know people like Prada L'Homme and its intense variant, so do I, and they are more likeable, but this one is more of a statement. Day time fall/winter, dressed up, you can't go wrong. Clean lavender, musk and spices, and that musk gives it a soapy clean nuance. Fragrance snobs will not likely look down on this one, but those who flex with terrible cheaply made LVs (that also smell soapy) would do, because it's not enough flex for them...childish! Oh I forgot to mention, this is for men, and if your beard doesn't need a daily shave, then you're too young for it, sorry. There is one other fragrance that serves a similar purpose in my collection, and I like it as much as this one despite smelling very different, and that is Vertus Monarch. I can wear both of them without ending up self conscious, believe me, I would like to wear Amouage Purpose, or Jubilation 40, and/or TF Tobacco Vanille, but for a business meeting they are a bit too strong, don't get me wrong, they are all subjectively better fragrances, but I just wanted to highlight the fact that this is suitable for a specific purpose.
It is difficult for me to even describe this fragrance as I have really never smelled anything like it. I definitely get rose and leather though. I really love how unique this fragrance is but also feel like I can really only wear it when I am dressed up in winter/fall. This is a perfect fragrance to wear with a suit in a non office setting imo. Definitely a bit too strong and unique for me to wear to work.
An opening of sharp yet non-offensive citrus and lavender; lavender dominates every part of the scent, but it’s balanced by creamy, soft-textured florals and a mentholated pudding. As I said, lavender always stays in the leading role, yet it never becomes disturbing. I’ve always found those “synthetic” claims ridiculous — something synthetic can smell perfectly beautiful, and there are plenty of examples of that. The fact that some notes in a perfume are synthetic doesn’t mean it can’t smell good; on the contrary, there are perfumes that claim to use only high-quality natural ingredients and still smell awful. Don’t write amateurish comments. Black Gold is, interestingly, a compliment magnet that creates a pleasant scent aura around you — both beautiful and powerful. In that sense, it’s a typical Mancera. People may dislike Mancera, but this brand projects beautifully around you more than most others — what can you say to that?
My man smells like Mancera Black Gold ❤️
All I smell is lavender and soap. This is terrible. Cheap synthetic mess, typical of Mancera
Just received mine today and smells amazing, searched up the batch code on box "17C074A" and turns out this is over 8 years old already, not sure if that's normal but very cool I guess. LMK how old everyone else's is.
