The opening to me is too sour and the dry down is just basic “designer perfume” DNA.
This is one of my most beloved fragrances. White flowers galore, not super sweet, so classy and sophisticated. Warm, bright, elegant, but super wearable. Grown up and confident. I don't even know what all to say about it other than that, I just love it wholeheartedly.
I had this perfume as a gift from my sister, after she bought it from a trip to another country. Honestly, I really don't resonate with it, as jasmine scent gives me a headache and I had to give it back to her. I just can't use it. It's very aromatic, I can see this being used by a library, or someone that works in a museum, autumn, day. But for me, it feels too much. Too complete, not leaving enough space for the mystery. It feels heavy, like I already know everything about it and really don't have enough patience to listen again until the end. It's ok, but not for me.
Gorgeous and Super Gorgeous are both warm, crystal-bright ambers. OG is a lighter and sweeter version with the accent on the white florals. There is an underlying herbal sweetness of tobacco; it does remind me a bit of linden too, but citruses add freshness and woody notes round it, so it doesn't become a cloying, overly sweet scent (except in summer, or if you overspray). It is for the most part a linear scent. A very pleasant choice as a daily scent. Maybe not the most unique, but better than many. It was created by Anne Flipo, Laurent Le Guernec and Nicholas Beaulieu. SG is a denser, less sweet version with more accent on the resins and tobacco, mildly spicy. Some of the floral sweetness is subtracted and orris gives it a nice touch of elegance (it takes some 30 min to fully develop, after that it remains a linear scent). Compared to OG, I find it deeper, sensual and soothing at the same time. A more intimate and relaxing after work/day-off/evening scent, it seeks either solitude or selected company, not loud crowds. It's more concentrated and really long-lasting. Also, more unique; not just between the two, but also in a larger (designer) perspective. Like the OG, love the Super version.
I recently received this. And I am baffled by all the positive reviews on this?!! It smells alot like White Diamonds Legacy, which I am quite dissapointed with. I love the original White Diamonds. But this is just screechy, loud, and brash. Is it the Pink pepper? I really don't know? This so called "modern" perfumes all seem to have the same drydown. Which smell very middle eastern. a touch of fake oud, or something. If this is elegant, sophisticated, then i'm so sad for the future of perfumery. Bring back the true classics. They had real elegance, sophistication. What is going on with these perfumes? I just don't see the beauty there. Elegance whispers, and these perfumes Shout! It also smells a little like some other perfumes i've tried recently. Cannot remember the names, as I had no desire to purchase these abominations. It feels like people are brainwashed,or something! I will just stick to my old classics, because if this is the future of perfume, then I won't be participating.
I consider it Chanel N°5-like but without aldehydes. It is however an updated classic scent and indeed gorgeous! It opens with big ylang ylang-jasmine blast, with tuberose and orange blossom adding fruity notes and with a dash of pink pepper which is an amazing note. The base notes purrr gently. In 31°C it is a bit heady, but ekhem ...gorgeous. It is also similar to L'Interdit but not as fruity. It has a presence, so I suggest testing it if you like to feel your perfums in a bubble - this creates a lovely bubble. One of my favourite recent purchases.
I have a story with this perfume that taught me that fragrances are about memories of our loved ones. I blind-bought it online while I was travelling with my parents. My husband did not go, so I could focus completely on my parents. We were spending the afternoon at an Airbnb, and I was scrolling a perfume website, and I saw the perfume at a great price. As we were travelling, I decided to send it to my parents' house, and when I went back there to visit them, in exactly five weeks, I would finally try the perfume. It just so happens that, two weeks later, I would go back to their hometown to go to my beloved dad's funeral. I really don't know why, but I decided to wear it to my father's funeral. I don't even know if people wear perfume at funerals. It just seems so sad and yet somehow really important. Something told me I had to look good to him and wear this perfume, because we were having such a wonderful time together, my dad, my mom, and I, the moment I bought it. We were having a glass of wine, listening to music, talking about collections and other things he used to love, also about how good it was to be together, because we simply loved each other's company. As we were talking about silly things, and as I have this recent passion for perfumes, I remember talking about blind-buying this one and him saying, "don't miss the discount" (it had a huge discount that day). I find the perfume mature and serious, but gorgeous. But the thing is, I wear it not because of the notes, or because of my father's death. On the contrary, I wear it because of how happy we were when I bought this perfume. Even if I wore it on the worst day of my life, I want to remember the best days of my life, and they were all with my family. Anyway, I just wanted him to know that I got prepared to see him for the last time. I miss him deeply, and I now, when I think about this perfume, it reminds me of the great moments I had with my father. It is a perfume that brings me the dearest memory of how important my dad will always be to me. Miss you, Dad. I hope you're doing fine wherever you are. I wish you the best experiences in Heaven. And I hope you like this perfume, because I love you.
I can just reiterate some of the comments below - classy, elegant scent with the perfect balance of sweet, creamy florals. It feels luxurious, feminine. If I may add, it reminded me of Alien, Mugler 1/1. Maybe it is my nose, I dont know, but it smells a bit soapy, very clean, as I said, just like Alien! Because Alien to me smells like soap haha
Michael Kors Gorgeous truly fits the name. This is such a classy, elegant scent with the perfect balance of sweet, creamy florals. It feels luxurious, feminine, and sophisticated without being overpowering. Every time I wear it, I feel polished and confident. Absolutely beautiful fragrance!
Beautiful perfume, floral woody, super feminine, sweet, creamy, warm, with a touch of spice just to add a sparkle. This blind buy impressed me, and it was spot on. A very present and creamy Ylang-ylang, making it a bold fragrance, with a striking but well-balanced benzoin note, to be used on special occasions and at night. I found it to be a great perfume, a really elegant and sophisticated perfume, and it made an impact on me. I can't see this perfume being used by a young girl; it's a perfume for a powerful woman. Excellent projection and longevity. Throughout the entire time I wore it, I felt perfumed.
👌🏻💯 This is a bold, confident, and incredibly feminine fragrance that is meant to make an impression. To my nose, it shares a similar DNA with the Libre line, but it’s far more tolerable for those who find lavender off-putting. The tobacco note gives it a slightly smoky, "grown-up" edge that feels much more expensive than it is. It’s my new go-to for when I want to feel powerful and sexy. 🔥
Rather generic. Pretty white florals on a base of woody notes. Little pungent with spices on first spray but settles into a sweet fragrance.
I like this. Nothing memorable tho, generic, a bit mature for my taste. It’s well balanced, you can pick the notes. Spiced florals and tobacco, warm wood and cashmere.
This is basically a creamy, sweet white floral scent. There's nothing much to make it unique. It seems a bit mature and pungent. Smell: 6 out of 10 Strength: 8 out of 10 Feminine
Absolutely stunning and indeed gorgeous. Perfectly versatile all year, every occasion woody floral fragrance. Grown up but not dated, not too floral, not too woody, perfectly balanced. Feminine, sophisticated but doesn't necessarily require dressing up. Yes, I admit that it can be considered a bit basic, but I'd rather say inoffensive and crowd pleasing. There are a lot of perfumes with this scent profile yet I find Gorgeous! to be unique and waaay better than any similar scent. I also love the bottle, it suits the inside very well: simple, but beautiful and classy with a little twist. I haven't loved a perfume this much in a long time, I simply can't get enough. Seriously considering it to be my signature.
Like the elegant lady in a mink coat sitting next to you in the church pew. PS It’s not me 🙃
At first , I said to myself, this is indeed gorgeous! I really found it beautiful! I love white florals and this is done very well. I think it would be a wonderful spring summer fragrance. It’s definitely something that could be someone’s signature scent. I would say that this is close to a love for me, the only detractor is that it isn’t all that unique to me. There is a touch of uniqueness but not enough to make me fall head over heels. Nonetheless, it is a very beautiful fragrance!
This is indeed gorgeous! I like it a lot.
soft, sweet and intense at the same time. one spritz is already enough. smells like spring in a bottle. it’s giving a *very very* soft version of j’adore. once it settles down it’s soft and lovely. unfortunately it isn’t very long lasting and will fade away within 2-3 hours. so, it would be nice for a dinner date but if you’re wearing it in the office, you might have to reapply it.
This is a remake of Magnetic by Gabriela Sabatini, a cheap and popular perfume from 35 years ago.
Gorgeous! Smells different every time I wear it. Sometimes I get warm woods, spiced tobacco with cosy cashmere and hints of florals. Others I just get lightly spiced florals. I can’t decide if I like it, there is a certain sharp wood note that stands out above everything else and smells more masculine on me which puts me off. If there was a hint of sweetness or vanilla in the base then I think it would round it off perfectly: but for me this feels sort of unfinished. Like it’s not sure what it is, floral, woody, smoky? The name Gorgeous doesn’t correlate with the fragrance for me. I’ll wear it around the house occasionally but it’s not going to be one I reach for. I recently got Sexy Amber by MK and I prefer it. I would say Gorgeous is more of an autumn/winter evening fragrance. But I’m not even 100% sure on when it should be worn. It’s a whole identity crisis in a bottle. Wouldn’t say it’s nasty, but it’s not amazing either. It’s just ‘there’ in my collection.
Ugh.. on my skin it’s definitely too woody, also tobacco note seem to be not for me. I wish it was more feminine and floral oriented. I can smell flowers only at the beginning, later they are hidden beneath strong woody and smoky notes. The performance of this perfume is really good though.
Soapy jasmine with cedar background. Maybe even gorgeous, it certainly makes an impression. I am impressed by it. It is glamorous. Sounds simplistic on my skin, but well-rounded and complex at the same time. However I am surprised to see this many notes. Probably all are needed to make it this good. Lovely for summer evening, but probably universal with regards to weather. Fits professional and private life. It gives the wearer a small personal bubble, which is nice. In style this is like an impression on Chanel N°5 but without aldehydes and modernized. Otherwise I don't know anything quite similar to this. Wears for 6 hours and a shadow of its evening wear appears in the morning. A new favourite.
FULL BOTTLE WORTHY. When I take a sniff, my first thought is: Is this generic seeming? But then the uniqueness hits me the very next second. Still familiarizing myself with this one, but I love it. Without looking at the notes, it smelled like tuberose, pineapple, and hints of coffee and tobacco to me. A combination akin to Palmer’s shea butter lotion - a scent I LOVE. It’s a soft, clean, perfectly sweet fruity floral. Verging on beachy. Polished, ultrafemme, multifaceted, and captivating. As it dries down, it gets a bit creamy, bubble bath-y, and a little less fruity. A smooth, beautiful blend. I think its's special. Shines on my skin. My favorite Michael Kors since the majorly lamented Michael. This can be come by very affordably, so I’ll pick up a full bottle when my mini runs dry. Gorgeous is right!
similar to alien muglier, libre ysl, and close to guess perfumes also. Nice scent, fun and up beat but a bit less depth. Solid for its price
Michael Kors has been creating creamy white floral fragrances for decades, some that have sadly been discontinued such as Michael EDP and Very Hollywood. Gorgeous! is a modern white floral with dominant notes of tuberose, orange blossom and jasmine. As opposed to smelling indolic and pristine, Gorgeous! is more cozy and warm with a base of suede, cashmeran, tonka bean and styrax. This fragrance is a white floral in a similar vein to Gucci Bloom and Armani's Rouge Malachite. The tuberose is creamy and approachable, but on the other hand lacks the depth and complexity of vintage and niche tuberose fragrances. The scent pyramid looks edgier than the scent actually is, with the listed tobacco and oud being barely discernable on my skin. The initial spray is a fleeting yet sparkling blend of mandarin orange and pink pepper, and the heart is a creamy, somewhat polite tuberose supported by other classic white florals like jasmine sambac, ylang-ylang, and orange blossom. The drydown is an aromatic, slightly sweet blend of suede, tonka bean, cashmeran and benzoin. This is a versatile fragrance. It is polished and bright enough for daytime wear or the office, yet its warm, complex base gives it the depth and character needed for a dinner date or a special event. It shines particularly well in the transitional weather of spring and autumn. Gorgeous! is not nearly as beautiful as the discontinued white floral gems that the Michael Kors house was once known for, but is pleasant nonetheless. I look forward to sampling Super Gorgeous! the more intense flanker as I have heard that the amber and tobacco accords are more pronounced in the flanker.
can't quite put my finger on it - just feels like "a perfume". an everyman. a placeholder.
this smells like herbal tea to me, very lovely
A basic starter fragrance, it’s fresh, a bit sweet and floral, perfect for every occasion if you want to be non-offensive but still stand out regardless, it’s a well blended fragrance for cheap and lasts a good amount of time. Wasn’t expecting anything high-end because it is Michael Kors however, it’s still up there next to a fragrance like Viktor&Rolf flower bomb.
I feel like you’re blasted with white florals in the opening and it slowly comes down to smoky smell. Smoky white florals. Not loving it.
