Full Incense

Anyone selling?

I bought a 2 ml sample. Wore it for three days now and considering buying a full bottle. The best incense i have ever smelled ouț of a perfume bottle. Love it. Dry, not really sharp, but rather cozy.

It smells like something spicy and rotten. A deer roadkill carcass that has been rotting on the roadside for days, thickly covered in black pepper. Loud, intrusive All Montale perfumes have the exact same awful base, and they are incredibly concentrated. It’s actually a biochemical weapon

Very atmospheric and centered on frankincense. It mixes resinous, smoky notes with touches of cedar and labdanum, creating a dry, meditative mood. Elegant and long-lasting, a classic incense experience, calm and understated. Big like 👍 👍👍

I liked Arabians Tonka tester but was hesitant about buying a full product - then I tried Full Incense and loved it on first sniff! It's rich, it's full, it's spiritual, it's no f*cks given, it's non-agreeable. Made my evening, made me buy a full bottle within the next two hours. However it's not a blind buy and can be controversial in a social setting - the sillage is big and can be thought of as churchy.

The perfume that made me go down the rabbit hole of fragrance, that showed me not all perfume has to smell like flowers or literal cake. Would I wear this out with friends? Probably not. But I wear it for myself a couple cold nights a year, light some candles, curl up and read a cozy novel. I do not relate this to church, probably bc I did not attend incense-burning services, but it does smell spiritual though. I am a lover of quality Japanese incense and although they are not spot on similar, I think if you love burning incense it’s worth checking this out. I wish I actually had incense that smelled like this. For now this big bottle will last me forever. Oh it also works great applied lightly to clothing. Top 10 for me.

What this smells like to me is: when i walk on forest trails in the summer, and the sun is shining upon some pine tree bark or exposed roots and there's warm liquid sap flowing and i grab a stick and poke on the sap and then instantly smell it straight from the stick. And then, the dry down is the smell of the dusty pollen from the pine trees. I'd like to compare this to some other incense perfumes i have or have tried: FW Incense Alchemy (which is said to be a clone of Encens Suave) opens with the same pine balsamic smell as Full Incense, but after an hour it tones down to a cozy vanilla. Lattafa Hala leans a bit more on the woody side, even though it is pretty simillar. It is not as bright though and the performance is weak. CdG Avignon: This one is more gritty and smoky and i found that after the opening hour, the whole thing tones down to an ambery hot soap scent that stays close to skin. I believe this is the must have Incense scent to own and mix up with other perfumes. I've been layering it with everything for the past week: oud, citrus, florals. Combining it with Encre Noir (a l' extreme) is just amazing. First day i wore it i could smell it all day but now i think i go nose blind quite fast. I don't think it projects much but it definately leaves a scent trail.

It purrs what Tiger's Nest roars. My bottle from Joma has barely any presence. Will probably send it back or sell it.

I was brought up Catholic, even attending a convent school run by the Sisters of Mercy (foretelling the future), so this takes me back to the 1970s. It smells exactly like the 2 churches we attended, especially the side chapel of one where we were taken to Benediction once a month. It was always warm, with highly polished wooden pews and the air heavy with incense from the swinging thurible. I wanted to recreate this beautiful rich scent and it delivers perfectly. I adore it.

I adore this fragrance, it’s a pure liturgical incense, with sweet resins and an earthy patchouli. Perfect.

I haven’t compared this to Avignon or Cardinal, but judging it on its own merit, if you’re after a pure, liturgical incense scent then Full Incense the the real deal. It doesn’t even smell like a perfume, it just smells like myrrh gently burning over a charcoal. It’s a woody scent, but a very bright one. Dry, piney, and citric, a bit varnish like, somewhat shrill but in a good way. Very clean, not smoky at all. And yes, it absolutely smells like the incense they burn at catholic masses.

a very safe choice when it comes to incense perfumes. quite dry and solemn, i dont get any warmth from this at all... smells as though youre seated in the wooden pews of a church, but theres a moment of stillness between you and the smokey thuribles as the clergy walks by

Definition of a great dumb reach. You smell like unburnt frankincense, sparkling citrus from elemi, sandalwood and cedar. Simple, incredibly versatile & low key. 2-3 sprays decent longevity with tight projection. This guy thinks. Conveys meditative wisdom not a food or a color or a place or a desire to please or shock others.

I don't really like Montale / Mancera fragrances, but this one is cool, though I'm uncertain if it's wearable enough to warrant a recommendation. What you get here is a straight-up SPA smell. It genuinely smells like hot wood steamed with oils. That's it.

Basically just a much stronger, much more synthetic version of avignon incense

Nose Note #920 It instantly became one of my favourites. This is just totally my jam. You may think judging by the name that it's going to be a dark smoky thing, but it's not. I'd even call it super light incense comparing to Amouages. The incense here has an underlined pine undertone, piney in a way of a finnish wood sauna. Amazing, just amazing. Outstanding and like nothing else out there. And I can't help but feel like this has a lemon note too. Unisex, but suits men better. Longevity satisfies me, it's long lasting enough. Sillage is medium. In a way this is similar to Tom Ford Black Lacquer, but Full Incense is sparkling. 9.5/10, one of those things that you just have to try. Almost 10/10 for me. I may change the rating to 10 after some time

"I mean it's alright" it's really full on incense belned with resinuous and fizzy notes. The fizzy note disappears after few hours. Very very simimar to Loewe 7 and slightly more expensive.

Ok- I do love me a good incense perfume and this one really nails it with its authentic frankincense, elemi, and labdanum. The patchouli marries well with the labdanum so it doesn’t go all hippie/earthy. For the first hour, it’s pretty much straight up frankincense amplified to a blinding degree (hello iso super) and as sharp as a razor with the loud elemi top note. All seems good, if not just a little too intense - but as it dries down, the frankincense loosens up and diffuses but the cedar really begins to ramp up in strength. This phase is rather uncomfortable for me and it just intensifies the scratchy and woody aspect a little too much no thanks to the iso e super. At this point, I lose interest and it goes more screechy synthetic as it wears. Avignon, to which it’s often compared, has a much more smooth and natural drydown - feels like a spiritual hug rather than a stern priest who can’t loosen up until he does ablutions and finishes off the wine. It billows rather than fumigates. It may not have the sheer power and lasting strength of Full Incense, but it is much better blended and well-rounded Catholic incense experience that feels more uplifting and cozy. Heeley Cardinal goes bright white s clean - like a spiritual shower. Immaculate. I’m on my second bottle of Full Incense so I’ve had some time to formulate my opinion. I added some ambreine, myrrh, benzoin, beeswax and a couple musks from a perfumer’s supply and it’s different enough now to suit my preferences. Also makes a very serene home ambiance perfume. Love to spray it through the house when listening to Dead Can Dance records and being mindful.

Incense, exactly what it is. Not sweet at all, it's dry. You can also smell the elemi. It's a strong fragrance!

it is exactly what it says it is. incense with a resinous backdrop. subtle woods. this would layer beautifully with some vanilla. i don’t necessarily get church incense from this personally, but i mainly associate that with frankincense notes. good presence and longevity. really only suitable for cold weather. linear. i’m generally not a huge fan of montale, but this one is simple and well blended.

I have a small church incense collection which includes this one as well. Montale Full Incense is the most raw and bitter of the 4 that I own. If you’re seeking out your first bottle of church incense, you’d be better off starting with something a little more friendly, like Heeley’s Cardinal.

I recently purchased five sizable Montale Perfume decants. Not sure why I selected the ones that I did. Mostly curiosity. In the distant & recent past, I owned and/or sampled DOZENS of incense-focused fragrances. There are too many to list here. But I went through a phase where I adored wearing a unisex, incense fragrance. I wore an incense fragrance daily. As an aside, I still own and love Profumum Roma "Ambra Aurea." To my nose, "Full Incense" is just not a well done fragrance. And FWIW, I own and love several Montale Fragrances. But Full Incense is just a "no." To me, the incense notes smell highly synthetic. And the fragrance doesn't seem well blended. There are so many INCREDIBLE, natural incense smelling fragrances. Any of the Comme des Garçons Incense Series (especially Avignon) are lovely. James Heeley "Cardinal" is incredible. Arte Profumi "Samharam" is pretty. And Fillipo Sorcinelli "Lavs" and "Reliqua" are to die for, bar none. Full Incense is an easy pass.

Lets begin with the smell. If you want to smell like church, this might not be the best fragrance out there. As an orthodox christian i visited church since i was a toddler and the smell of this perfume get somewhat close but not really. There is a strong cola smell that hits you right after the first spray. The good thing is that the cola slowly starts to fade away and after 15-30 minutes is a lot less noticeable, but still there. Full incense is linear and other than that initial cola smell I dont think it would suprise you with anything else. Longevity and silage are good. If you would like to smell exactly like church maybe try avalon or other alternatives. I would give Full incense 7/10.

For me, anything that smells of liturgical incense must be mystical, meditative, almost otherworldly. Full Incense by Montale is what I call a scream disguised as a prayer. I tried to give it a second chance and try to like it, but it just doesn't captivate me.

I mean it's just straight up incense with nothing else. Great for layering.

Just herbs, nicely composed, not for me.
