Intense Cafe

It’s such a brilliant fragrance. Like, whoever came up with this (yes, I know it’s Pierre Montale) really put their whole p*ssy into it. It smells like the most beautiful woman you’ll ever meet. Ever. You’ll remember her until the day you die. The coffee isn’t as unpleasant as I thought it would be, since I hadn’t smelled many coffee-centric perfumes before this one. It blends well with the rose, and even gives it a sweet, chocolatey edge.

I used to go absolutely crazy for Intense Café whenever I smelled it on my friend. It was beautiful on her, rich, warm and incredibly addictive. I loved it so much that she eventually gave me a bottle of my own. Unfortunately, I could not wear it. On my skin it became overwhelmingly strong and intense. Even one spray felt suffocating and often gave me a headache. The composition itself is gorgeous, especially the sweet rose, vanilla and dark gourmand warmth, but the projection is simply too powerful for me. I still think it is a beautiful fragrance, and I completely understand why so many people love it. I just prefer smelling it from a distance or on someone else rather than wearing it myself.

The opening and mid is trash ☕️🌹💐but the dry down is pure luxury 😊

Yes , this is a realistic coffee fragrance with added rose. The rose and coffee here are not well blended but still it is a very good fragrance.

باز هم رُز از جناب مونتال شروع عطر به وضوح یک رز شیرین و قدرتمند و البته حرمی رو داریم که بی چون و چرا،حرف اول رو می‌زنه و کمی هم حس زعفرانی داره با شیب ملایم و آهسته،رز کمی فضا به نت های دیگه میده اما اصلا منتظر قهوه نباشید و حضور نت پرطرفدار قهوه صرفا یک ترفند برای غالب کردن رز های مزخرف جناب مونتال هست گرچه خبری از بوی قهوه نیست اما از میانه های عطر یک بوی سنتتیک و شیرین که مثلا قراره قهوه باشه در لایه های مشک پیچیده شده به مشام می‌رسه که برای من و اطرافیان هیچ گونه تشابه ای با قهوه نداشت و شاید بشه به وانیل تشبیه اش کرد پرفورمنس عطر روی لباس عالیه و روی پوست من هم بسیار خوب بود متاسفانه ************* scent:5/10 longevity:8.5/10 sillage:8.5/10 purchase value:1/10 ******** overall:5.7/10

Honestly not much coffee to my nose at all, mostly just jammy roses. While this is a youthful and playful scent, it's best left for those who like sweetness

This and Arabian tonka are my go to winter scent, have 2 of this and 1 of AT. 9.5/10.

I lived with this a while: I really enjoy the opening - fresh sweet rose and capuccino, but i can’t get over montale’s musk- like toasted laundry and men’s cologne, in a tingly chemical way. Had to give it up.

I first smelled this on a co-worker from about 20 feet away, back about 6 years ago. Being a fragrance guy, I was intrigued by what I knew was coffee, rose, and vanilla. The sillage and projection was incredible! We always talked colognes, so I wasn’t hesitant to ask what he was wearing. That evening I purchased my first MONTALE fragrance. And I have enjoyed wearing it probably 15 times since then.

this was one of the best perfumes I ever had in my 'Collection'. you only name it a 'Collection' afterwards when you have passed an almost obscene amount of perfumes (350 Bottles and 350 Bottles given away to Female Colleagues). inmidst this rageing behavior, you are just enjoying the best perfumes. I bought this perfume in the year of its Launch 2013. it was a Montale perfume without Oud, but which immediately settled itself in my smelling memory as an unbelievable Opulent, Comforting, Rose-Forward perfume which proved to be an Instant Classic. now I have NEVER smelled Coffee in whichever perfume. not in Black Opium Le Parfum (2022), not in Black Opium Illicit green (2022) and never in Intense Café. so whereas the Coffee Note was absent for me as also the Oud really factually is absent here (to which I am so familar in several Montale perfumes) the Rose in here is at such Level it is like a dream fully on its own. I remember still working as a Nurse then and when we brought Elder People to their Home I sat in that bus with my nose to my Pulse and it was as if I was transported to another dimension. what I predominantly smelled were the Roses and the Vanilla. I guess the Floral Notes, the Musk (of which I am still not sure, after 50 years ! , I can smell it) and the Amber must have been thoroughly suffused mingled together in a Dreamy, Utopian, All-Encompassing world of Inner Peace. I do smell and enjoy the scent of Strong Coffee 100% Arabian or a Doppio Espresso. but in perfumes the note vanishes. I think the White Musk does her trick to 'solidify' a perfume, fill it more out and I guess I can detect it's Effect. however never to smell the actual Aroma (Synthetic) Material. I can smell Ambergris, Civet, Castoreum etc. but whatever the case, this perfume remains an absolutely Stunning, Classic and truly Bewitching Perfume.

Still a fave. I find that a lot of Montales have a similar vibe so I might experiment a little once Im done with the bottle, but this is now a must have scent profile in my collection. Very fuzzy, light but nuclear in both performance and sillage. Its like a cloud. I do get the notes except the coffee, its very subtle and well blended. Its sweet in a way similar to BR540. Compliment getter.

So rich, sweet and multi layered, such a beautiful perfume!

It smells like something spicy and rotten. A deer roadkill carcass that has been rotting on the roadside for days, thickly covered in black pepper. Loud, intrusive

how can you smell any coffee from this?? literally smells like super salty baby wipes

An incredible rose fragrance! An awful coffee perfume (only bc there isn’t enough for something calling intense cafe)! This rose heavy mellows to a nice, soft wearable scent that’s perfect year round

The coffee note within—which many people fail to detect, and which is very subtle, almost like a latte (don't expect Turkish coffee)—is hidden inside the rose. I wish they hadn't been stingy and had just added a *tad* more coffee—(see: Kuru Kahveci Mehmet Efendi)—that would have really helped. It’s not a cheap-smelling rose; it’s a sweet, inviting, fragrant rose. Even if it leans feminine—and even if people might say, "Dude's wearing a 'girly' scent"—I honestly couldn't care less; I love wearing it. Longevity is excellent; the opening is fleeting, as expected, followed by a blend of mixed florals. I wish buses and Metrobuses smelled like this.

It's a great fragrance with a very subtle coffee note, the coffee was 90% why I bought it though, it's more like roses and other flowers with just a spritz of coffee added for the sake of marketing

this is an absolute women killer on my skin. 10/10 times i wear this i'm always getting compliments and women being immersed on the scent trail leading to striking a conversation. my fiance hates me wearing this because of this but i love this scent. its different, more femanine i guess, but its a sweet and rosey and on my skin, projects well.

No matter how much I try to like this, I just can’t get into it. To me it smells like the blue Nivea cream, kinda old and aldehydic to my nose. With like a slight tart lemony smell.

This is a **beautiful** rose scent -- the vanilla & coffee is subtle but its presence gives the rose the right kind of roundedness. The sweetness thankfully isn't candy-like, it's bakery-like. I usually wear much more unisex scents, but I got a full bottle of this because of how romantic & feminine this one makes me feel, for when I want to feel that way.

My wife smelled it without knowing the notes and the first thing she said was, "yummm it smells like coffee." The coffee note is definitely very prominent, along with rose 🌹 but it isn't a black coffee, it is more like a vanilla latte. This fragrance is very popular in my household, my wife and 3 daughters adore this fragrance. This fragrance is very sexy and it definitely gets the attention of women. However, if you don't like rose and other floral notes, you will probably want to pass on this. Although, I do find that the rose here is balanced very nicely with the coffee, vanilla and musk. I think this fragrance shines in the spring. Edit: longevity on this thing is insane. I sprayed a single spray on a shirt two days ago and can still smell it off that shirt. I sprayed 2 shirts on a different shirt yesterday and it is still humming. Mind you, I am spraying from a 20 ml decant.

This is an absolute power house! Lasted 12hrs well into the next day. I was smelling it on my pillow for days! Not much coffee, it's mainly a rose scent thats delicious, but quite linear throughout the whole wear. I still love it ❤️

Before you purchase this bottle of anosmia, spray and wait 2 hours. If you still like it, go for it. Just remember, your ability to smell clearly anything else after greatly diminish -Pass

Blind buy, for me the roses are just way too overpowering, I was hoping the coffee would be stronger but sadly no. The good thing is that it seems to last on skin for hours. If you don't like rose scents, maybe skip this one
