Innocent

Altough this is a very old perfum (1998), it was in advance of its time then, and I still really like it now. I wish they addn't discontinued it. I like it better than Angel because of the lack of patchouli which can't render Angel a bit "dirty" .

This is one of my favorites and I am so frustrated it is discontinued. When I was younger and I first discovered Thierry Mugler's Angel around 2001, I was very impressed at the unique scent. However, I somehow acquired a sample of Angel Innocent, and I was blown away by the citrus scent combined with the light Angel DNA. For years I rarely sprayed it, I would smell the sample atomizer and think about how much I loved the scent. I always loved the idea of perfume but rarely wore them. As a young teen I didn't want to spend my money on a bottle, and would later regret that. Flash forward to ~7 years ago, I went into one of those random perfume stores in NYC to see if they had a bottle...to my surprise they did - for $60. I never realized the legitimacy of these discount stores, and I have been shopping in them ever since. I regularly ask if they have bottles of Innocent and they all have the same response...discontinued/old/no one has bottles of this anymore. If you are willing to pay $200 on Ebay for a bottle of this, do not hesitate.

Ah Innocent...It smelled so otherwordly... on another lady. I remember I walked past her, detected the scent and I literally stopped, wanting to follow her. But since I'm not a creep, I purchased Innocent for myself, craving that mysterious pine forest vibe with crispy hidden berries and specific lightness (it was a daylight scent, unlike Angel). But yeah, it did not work out for me, sadly. And I am referring to Thierry Mugler fragrance. Of course they discontiuned it because that's what they do with perfumes with personality. Cheers to all who remember and appreciate the Innocent - nobody can take the memories from us!

It's too bad this is discontinued because it is my favorite Mugler by far, second only to Womanity, yet another discontinued perfume of perfection! The best ones always are....Innocent is pretty much Angel but without the patchouli so I quite prefer it. It's also less sweet and "sassy," more earthy, fresh, and pretty. It has the few notes in Angel which I like, red fruit praline chocolate...and again it doesn't feel strictly gourmand, it just feels like itself. Not too sweet, feels balanced. I love Mugler and I almost wish this was Angel and Angel was Innocent, but I guess that would be less iconic ¯⁠⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯. Longevity on skin is decent, I would say up to four hours reapplying is ideal

So refreshing and pretty! This fragrance is also somehow perfect for all seasons, day and night. However, I'm sure a snowy winter day is the best occasion. It starts with a classic citrus opening and dries down to a sweet, fluffy almond raincloud. This makes you smell clean and has a light but alluring gourmand sweetness that will catch the interest of others. This is a type of scent I'd want my whole house to smell like. I have the original version with the big cap, which I love, but it doesn't seem to last super long.

This is the best Angel I've had, but only the Thierry Mugler formulation, not the later one by Mugler, which is kind of nice, but lost its sparkle and is just candy fruitchuli sweet. The original one is just out of this world for me, sparkly fruits with fluffy praline, sweet but at the same time luxurious with a bit sour, fruity, chocolatey trail.

Probably my favourite Mugler, I have a couple of older and newer bottles and the body products that matched. Gutted when they discontinued this as it's such a beautiful chameleon of a scent. The almond and berries are stunning but not overly sweet. It's strange in that it's foody but not edible smelling to me. The bottle is gorgeous and was the perfect way to own a bit of angels star if you are not a fan of the original. There's just something whimsical about this from start to finish. It's jeweled cap and strange, sky-blue juice make it a 2000's sci-fi vibe. It's softened, almost cuddly, it's clean and bright and sparkling and also cozy. Juicy berries, bright citrus, creamy almond and praline but not overly sweet. I can totally see this as unisex. I enjoy it most in cold, bright weather, the sky should match the bottle for you to wear this.

this is for sure a lighter version of "angel" edp. it's a bit more citrusy and less sweet. i absolutely adore this one! and i also don't get why they discontinued a scent that was sooo lovely. such a loss

It's so beautiful, so special, so unique. I think this is the only fragrance that has left me heartbroken when it was discontinued. I am still struggling to find leftover bottles here and there and never miss a chance to buy one when I can. I just cannot understand why they decided to discontinue it :((((

I love this. I’m on my 4th and final vintage bottle. If you can find an older formulation go for it! This is perfect all year round for me.

i don't know if i have a turned bottle or something but this smells like a sweet aftershave made for women. and i don't hate that for some reason. it's a quirky, fresh scent that makes me feel clean and different. kind of androgynous but not as much as other freshies like ck1. weird

Maybe I’m getting old, but I am revisiting the Mugler line of fragrances. After my husband introduced me to Angel for Christmas 1994, along came Angel Innocent a couple of years later. I wore Angel in fall/winter and Innocent in spring/summer. I’m lucky to still have a lot of the original formulas for both!! Innocent is similar to Angel - like a sweet baby sister. The bergamot is a favorite note of mine and works so beautifully with the praline, softening and lightening it the perfect amount. For me, it’s just enough of everything: sweet, fruit, nut, praline, musk, even a touch of cocoa powder. So nostalgic for me, and while I love some of the newer, more modern fragrances, this is a refreshing departure and a nice trip down memory lane without feeling dated. I do hope L’Oreal gets back to the big old punch of the original formulas - we can handle it!!😂.

At the first release this was named 'Angel Innocent', but imho it doesnt have much similarity to Angel, nor to any of the Angel flankers. Innocent is lighter, more citrusy and soapy then Angel. Nevertheless one of my favorite Muglers. I have a FB 75 ml for sale, boxed & sealed. DM me if interested.

I am confused... I bought a tester and other 2 bottle of it because it is discontinued and I am a fun of Mugler. Sorry - it's not my cup of tea.... It is enormously soapy and musky on my skin... somehow a mild patchouli is remarkable too(no patchouli on the list). Unfortunately I just can't stand patchouli or soapy notes... btw it is strong and really really good longevity...beautiful bottle and a special parfume... just - unfortunately - not for me. Interesting fact that I have 2 original sealed 25ml bottle to sell. If you are interested, let me know.

my parents bought this for me for my holy communion. the perfect scent to receive the eucharist for the first time. i must have been about 10 years old. still so innocent and naive. while i hated the countless hours spent toward receiving that sacrament or the teachings and feelings of shame inherent to my catholic upbringing, i could never hate this fragrance. this probably kickstarted my fragrance obsession ngl

Emotional review here. I got this perfume at a duty-free store, coming back from my first trip to Disney World when I was 15, because I heard that prostitutes from a luxury brothel in my country wore it. Beautiful memories of perfuming myself with this, wearing the handbag I bought at the Rock'n'Roller Coaster souvenir shop, and being the coolest girl at the party. "Innocent" smells like the loss of innocence.

I know a lot of people like this in the winter weather when the praline comes out. But I’m really enjoying this in the summer too with the citrus. It’s very refreshing. I wore it to work the other week and was complimented on it. Gives a lovely scent trail.

I’m a huge Mugler fan and specially the OG Angel. But I wouldn’t recommend blind buying this. I don’t smell any resemblances to the OG Angel here whatsoever, or the edt. Maybe it faintly resembles the eau sucree. I get a lot of berries with citruses. It isn’t overly sweet, in fact I find it to be a little sour. I don’t get pralines or chocolate, at least not the beloved pralines and chocolate from the OG Angel, they do not exist here. It’s a bit juvenile. Maybe that’s where the name comes from. I don’t like to pass on anything related to Angel but sadly it’s a pass for me.

This is definitely a fragrance you need to let macerate for a little bit before you can enjoy it. to my nose its a fruity musky cleanish scent. i wouldn’t necessarily say its sweet, its more of a true fruity smell with an undertone of earthiness, the opening is an earthy fruit punch that lasts all through out, lasts a moderate amount of time and the sillage is decent. if you found the original angel too cloying and intense, i think this is a safe option if you want that similar DNA without it being headache inducing. i’d say it reads unisex and slightly more masculine leaning than i would’ve liked so i’d say for my ladies to layer a sweeter fragrance on top to add some femininity.

I first tried it last year and I loved it, the almond is gorgeous in this one, airy, sweet and fresh, it makes me feel clean, refreshed. I love wearing this in spring and summer. It lasts ages.

I do not recognise this fragrance in the listed notes. I find citruses, spruce and juniper, almost gin & tonic, but soft and with a drop of very mild vanilla in the heart. The atmospheric, uplifting, almost aquatic fragrance brings a feeling that something good is just around the corner. Something like the Christmas feeling in childhood. upd. after a safe shelf life (two years), the cold alcohol vodka note became distinctive, especially at the opening, while vanilla faded away. It gives a very nice, crispy cold feeling.

Angel’s chocolate sweetness crossed with… aquatic calone notes? It’s Angel crossed with Cool Water. It’s intriguing but the first thing that sprung into my mind was the “I’M A SEXY BABY” woman from 30 Rock. Not for me thanks!

I somehow came into possession of a bottle of this shower gel (waayyy back in the day) and I remember loving it. I already had fallen for Angel (the OG) and thought this was a sweet and easy compliment for that and other perfumes I had in my late teens/ early 20’s. I loved anything “dirty” (which as a grownup I now recognize as patchouli and woods). This was a fluffy light version of that scent profile. No clue who left this in my shower…but I thank them and now am going to hunt some down for nostalgia sake.

I feel like a Barbie girl in a Barbie world when I wear this.The ultimate fragrance for dolls. Blue Davana and Cacao smells similar to me. In case you cant find this one.

I still prefer Angel over this flanker, but this is noticeably a more playful & juvenile version. Hence, innocent. 90’s nostalgia in a bottle. Crowd pleaser, charisma on a hundred. You just know you smell good. Hold on y’all.. why don’t they make stuff like this no more?

As a Thierry Mugler fun I am using Innocent in spring/summer Months instead of proper heavy Angel. It has the DNA, but without heavy patchouli. It is gourmand, but in an old school way, not like nowadays sickly sweet like Elie Saab Girl off now. Its sweet but fresh to and it has great Sillage. I would not recommend to blind buy it. Sometimes I need to be in a right mood for wearing it and choose a different summer perfume from my collection.

i mostly get citrus shampoo fragrance vibes. i even sense an aromatic vibe. it is such a crowd pleaser imo
