Rare

I got this to test against Burberry Goddess, and Angham, since they’re all being compared! I had tested the other two, and they’re so similar! First of all? BG & Angham yes like a 97%spot on dupe I’d say the vanilla is slightly better in BG Over Angham . BUT, BOTH of their lavenders and gingers, (imo) are very very strong to me. They both tended to give me headaches but angham, was slightly safer bet (for my gals who get headaches) ! So I figured let me try Rare since no lavender (I LOVE lavender btw if it’s done in a sweetened way, but it’s very astringent to me in the BG and Angham). Well I love Rare!! You can’t really get the pistachio what I noticed? Is the pistachio tones down the opening so it’s not as sharp as the previous two! It warms up the vanilla a bit I LOVEd it compared to LIKING, the other two! I wish there was a spot on dupe for this though sadly there doesn’t seem to be one that is spot on Rare? Because even though I like it the most out of the three I think it’s worth 70+ dollars no it’s not it isn’t… BUT, if the ginger and lavender were too strong for you in BG and Angham? Rare is the both of them but no headache

It’s marginally more interesting than BG. Not bad on the sillage and longevity. Cozy, stays on skin well, not very expensive. Overall good! Bought a travel size.

Soft, cozy, and never too sweet, Rare wraps you in an aura of vanilla and caramel. Sometimes ginger in fragrances can be sharp enough to make you sneeze. Not here, though. In Rare, it has a fresh quality to it, joining with the pink pepper to cut through some of the sweetness. The vanilla here isn't cloying either. It truly is a fuzzy aura that covers you like a warm blanket. That being said, I want more pistachio. I'm sure it's buried in here somewhere, but I wish it was more prominent. Other than that, I love it!!! I bet it's gonna be even better as the weather starts cooling down, too! 🥰 rare is slowly becoming one of my favorite beauty brands.

This smells like autumn. Caramel and spices in the first hour, then dominantly vanilla and drydown is more subdued tonka, bit stinky like old stale brown sugar. The vanilla part is quite good, the others are not so much.

This is literally burberry goddess ... i wasn't smelling that at sephora (i was getting more caramel) but now that I ordered it im getting BG and zero caramel. Returning it because it's redundant

Yes, it’s similar to BG, but there are some major differences to me: 1: It does not bring out my contact allergy. (Like BG does) 2: Definately more spicey. (Ginger, pink pepper) Similar scent profile but for me it’s different enough and it’s drying in a different way, First it’s spicey (Ginger is very dominant on me and I love that, I love Ginger note in frags) and then it melts into that silky creamy caramel/pistachio sweet heaven. Just perfect!!! 🥰

On skin on first spray this is more intense to me than Burberry Goddess. This is sharper than that because of the pink pepper mixing in with the pistachio. I didn't buy this when it first came out because of everyone for the most part saying Burberry Goddess and at the Holiday time last year Sephora sent me a scent card scratch and sniff in the mail, and I smelled that, and really though it was similar to Burberry Goddess, so I never bought it then. As is starts to dry down I get a bit of the caramel coming through with cocoa and ginger mixing together with the vanilla backing it. To me this dries down different than the original Burberry Goddess, I feel like that perfume stays around the same the whole wear, I feel like Rare changes overtime. I feel like Rare is actually closer to Bath and Body Works Moonlit Goddess. I have the candle, and it gives more of that vibe, but in perfume form. It's more like a spicy Moonlit Goddess. The dry down is very smooth, i think it's because caramel is it this and makes it mellow. I feel like there is a lot of this scent profile on the market. I do like it, it's becoming redundant though. I think if they came out with a Rare Intense and brought out more of the caramel note it would ever be better.

It's almost identical to Angham in the best way.

A simple caramel pistachio to my nose. Comforting and easy. Considering buying for the fall, if I get tired of Mochi Milk.

Smells very familiar... Cozy, warm, and sweet. I think this has an almost moderate projection. It has a somewhat flirty, teasing sillage. I think this is a very safe make: well balanced and good for the price point. Someone described this as a cheaper alternative for Burberry Goddess, which I can see. This is more accessible and easier to wear on a daily basis. I think with all the positive reviews I read of this online, I feel disappointed. This doesn't smell interesting or luxurious to me. It is somewhat linear, perhaps made to be layered. The cashmere sweater or warm blanket of recent, more affordable perfume releases. It doesn't give me a headache, but I feel like it could on an unlucky day. It behaves and smells different on skin vs clothes (on the latter it seems more potent and long lasting). I think it might take a few sprays on different days before deciding whether it's worth buying. I saw this recommended as a possible summer perfume - with how it stays close to skin, perhaps. But after smelling it on my plushies, I struggle to imagine myself wearing this on a particularly hot day. Maybe it's the musk? It is not a bad perfume, it might even be quite decent in cooler weather, but I would not go out of my way to recommend this. One might as well save up for Burberry Goddess or another, more sophisticated warm perfume in my mind.

To get to the point, this has universal appeal. It’s a good / safe choice in any season or time of day. Or for any occasion. It’s sweet without being gourmand (if that’s your thing). For me the opening is fresh, sweet florals with a warm undercurrent. Very nice……but there’s something in the middle that’s sharp and cloying when smelling my wrist. I don’t think others will pick up on this, but it’s enough to leave me unsold. I think I’ll retry it in the fall when it’s not 100 degrees outside to see if the middle note screech softens.

I had this tester with me for over a week before I give it a minute of my time & this is why. Rare where? Nothing about Selena is rare, just like her perfume & the “accessible” designs of her products. A woman who did her ex best friend dirty, the friend that saved her life & donated her kidney for an ungrateful out of touch celebrity. As a chronically ill disabled person, ever since I heard the heartbreaking story, Selena was no longer getting a penny from me. I don’t believe the “kind” facade. This perfume is repackaged Burberry goddess. I have nothing else to say, it’s a copy. Funny, with all that money & ability to create something unique & beautiful, she went with Burberry goddess lol, a basic at best.

This isn't innovative, but it's deeply LOVELY. Soft, warm, full-bodied, nectar-like. An absolutely cozy autumn scent. Going on my gift list for sure. 💕

perfectly balanced, as all things should be

In harmony with the vision of the brand, it's a sleeper scent, a calm vanilla with a kick from the ginger and pink pepper. It's nice and has decent longevity on me; sillage is arm's length. Surprisingly, this reminds me so much of Victoria's Secret's Tease (the 2017/18 version of the fragrance mist/body spray) that I used to wear to school. Tease is definitely a lot sweeter and a bit heavier on the vanilla/caramel notes, but it has a similar scent. They're both approachable gourmand scents that are not headache-inducing.

it just works for me, it’s a nice blend of ginger and vanilla, a fresh sweetness that won’t offend anyone. u can smell it while sleep deprived and won’t get a headache and the smell is almost soothing. the only downside is that it doesn’t last that long on me but idc i’ll still buy another bottle after that one, it’s an addictive calming scent

This is one of those effortless, no brainer perfumes I find myself reaching for all the time. It’s subtle with the mix of soft sweetness and gentle spice. It’s very mass appealing and I’ve received quite a few compliments from colleagues while wearing it. Another bonus is how affordable it is, and also how easy it is to layer with. No resemblance to Burberry Godess in my opinion.

Beautiful, but this also smells like Lattafa Angham without the lavender.

This smells exactly like Bath and Body Works Vanilla Ease. I don't mind wearing Vanilla Ease (which I received as a gift) but I don't love it. Both Rare and VE are sour vanillas, which smells extremely cheap to me. I'm glad I bought only a small sample of Rare, I would never buy it now that I know what it smells like. Plus the bottle is ugly (love that it's accessible though). I'm disappointed, what a generic vanilla scent, and an underwhelming one at that. For a higher quality version, try No 15 Vanille Infinie by Maison Louis Marie.

i'm always so impressed every time i smell this. it's exactly what i want a feminine perfume to smell like. i've never enjoyed burberry goddess when i smell it at the store (which at this point has been at least a dozen times) so i don't really smell the resemblence. in my unbiased opinion, rare is sweet, woody, a little spicy, and very classy. wonderful for date night or any time i want a little boost to my confidence. i definitely recommend it.

This is SIMILAR to BG, it is NOT a dupe. Angham is a BG dupe. There is NO lavender in Rare. The vanilla is similar. Are they different enough to have both? Yes, i think so. But if u could only have one, that's fine too. Rare is cheaper and the bottle design is more user-friendly, if u will. Both are beautiful, both are an easy reach and non offensive.

If you're looking for a Burberry Goddess dupe, this is it. They are virtually identical. The only difference is Rare is not as strong. It's a weaker version of Goddess that progresses to the drydown quicker. And if I'm really really searching, I'd say it's a bit less sweet. But if you wear this, even a Goddess connoisseur like me would think you are wearing Goddess. So if you like that scent but can't afford it, then go for Rare.

I was very surprised to find that I love this fragrance as I didn't really like Burberry Goddess. I think this reminds me a bit more of Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit than Goddess. It is a spicy ginger-vanilla forward scent, with caramel for sweetness. I tried layering this with Bare Sueded Vanilla from Victoria's Secret and it was such a great combo that I want full sizes of both this and Bare Vanilla. I think this is a great, affordable perfume that I'll reach for often this fall/winter!

Rare Beauty EDP and Burberry Goddess smell identical..... so why do I own both of them???

I saw the Burberry Goddess comparison, and thought yes indeed same vein. Then it hit me the opening is very much Mon Guerlain.

I personally dont think this perfume is super special or anything but everytime i wear it i always get so many compliments. Its a good simple musky vanilla scent

Pretty and cozy. I already own Kilian Princess and this is a bit similar to my nose.

Im someone that was not impressed, wasnt having it and did not like at all. BUT! I got the lotion as a present, wore the lotion, started enjoying the lotion, carried it everywhere, reached for the fragrance and now I cant stop wont stop! this is an easy spray~I wear it A LOT. I wear it more than any fragrance I own - ludicrous. Spa like fragrance w a dash of sweetness (vanilla). This is so very enjoyable to me AND I receive many...someone smells good remarks; i assume it's me cuz I always assume it is me. Cheeeese!

such a lovely girly scent for everyday wear! an almost sparkling pink pepper and caramel on the opening, and the dry down is a beautiful vanilla with ginger and musk. reminds me of the feeling i get when walking down the street and wondering what fragrance a woman that went past me is using. would definitely repurchase.
