Bought a bottle at the mall in Dubai for a laugh. And Dubai is about the only place you’d get away with wearing it (ideally out in the desert several miles away from a populated area). It's offensively strong, crude and uncouth (as if the big gold bottle didn’t give it away). It does dry down into a bit of sickly rose, but you’ll pass out long before you ever get there. Anyone with a modicum of good taste will think badly of you and any fabric it touches will forever reek of poor judgement. I once sprayed some in a colleagues work bag as a prank and he threw the bag away a month later.
Got it for my mate. For me the scent is ok, a little bit sweet with some oud and rose. Insanely strong, lasts 20 hours on skin with insane projection. Sweet oud with praline, just not my kind of scent profile
Never wear this in the heat unless you want to smell awful. It’s definitely very strong. The oud smells a bit cheap honestly, but not completely unbearable. That being said, the lasting power is insane and a little goes a very long way. Also, good luck getting this smell out of your clothes afterward.
Holy crap! Layer this with Alhambra Coral Blush and you will forget about Lancome Oud Bouquet for good ! Thank me later and not all at once.
Winter only! It's sweet and nice oud accord. Long lasting projection is decent Definitely can smell the praline accord it's nice.
After letting it sit vor a year and a half it's pretty good. I use it as going out fragrance, it lasts long and grabs attention. It's not made for any other occasion.
Strongest perfume in the collection. It was a blind buy, I wore this a lot when I went through an oud phase.. Don't reach for this one much more now especially in spring, but when fall comes around I like picking this back up again. I like that the drydown is sweeter
This is literally the first oud I blind bought and tried 6 - 7 years ago. It was love at first sniff. I still keep part of my first bottle and developed into something amazing over the years. It's literally out of this world. As someone that still owns some leftovers from a Oud Bouquet bottle slightly vintage I'd say they are 95% same. On me it's beast mode. I can still feel my clothes smelling even after washing them. Make sure you buy the original one as there are lots of fakes out there.
Shaghaf Oud is your basic, beautiful, cold, sweet, traditional rose oud fragrance. Built around classic mukhallat notes, it has that Middle Eastern character, but made to be mass-appealing. It has added sweetness from vanilla and praline. The strong jammy rose is the main star of the show here. The oud is in the background, supporting the rose. It's a classy oud, smooth, resinous, muted, not too animalic and is more sweet‑woody than smoky, making it approachable even for people who don’t usually wear oud. Performance is strong: excellent longevity and projection, especially in cooler weather. This is not a subtle fragrance - it’s designed to be noticed, and it absolutely is. If you enjoy simple, yet classy and elevated, sexy, sweet rose ouds, Shaghaf Oud delivers a luxurious, crowd‑pleasing experience. Whilst basic in composition, the agarwood used here is nice and elevates the fragrance. It is a must have fragrance for me.
UPDATE: My bottle is SEVERAL years old now and fully matured into a retirement village . I will not knock this down because for the price- you're getting an almost "niche" quality . But to compare this to Lancome Oud anything is..nuts. THIS is more linear and almost has (as another fan on here said below me) the smell of Nestle's Quik powder inside the can. Sounds weird but it works! Also the vibe of a very mellow sweet-ish cigar scent in the background (not in an over powering way at all) LOL. (Oud / Agar / saffron / Nestle's Quik / mellow cigar ) . This also has a density that is ALWAYS missing in clones and knock-offs. ALWAYS .(So there is a one more big plus) That said ; the real reason this misses that Lancome mark is that the Lancome Oud series has the most beautiful intoxicating narcotic florals that do not get buried by the OUD and the other sweet notes. (The Lancome Oud series - now all discontinued- were some of the best perfumes I have ever sampled in my life!). This leans "masculine" (not that it bothers me- I am "trans-fragrance" myself) . So far - I have not gotten a compliment from this and it does not seem to last all day into night on my clothes . GRADE: B +. Amazing value for the price BUT let this bastard sit & mature for a half a year before you take him out clubbing. Safe blind buy ONLY if you believe everything I just told you in good faith.
A safe fragrance for anyone getting into oud. I enjoy animalic oud, so I couldn't appreciate this scent as an oud fragrance, instead I am a huge fan of the well blended praline. easy to mix with other gourmand scents to add depth and warmth.
I’m On my second bottle that’s how much I love this perfume. it smells like sugared oud and roses. Is currently the sweetest perfume I own and I honestly I love it. Even though it smells kinda cheap and synthetic sometimes its still a must have for the winter which is why am gonna try her sister the elixir when I finish this one.
Personally, I love it. Oud, saffron and Rose combined very well and performance is insane on my skin. Leans slightly feminine but very much unisex and for the price this is a non brainer imo. 7.7/10
Nose Note #924 One of the strongest fragrances I've ever had. Oud Mood, Opulent Oud, they are very similar, but this is sweeter and warmer. Absolutely amazing. I just love this DNA. When I think of those scent I for some reason think of how much I love my wife. They just have this strong connection to the idea of love in my head, I don't know why. Very cozy scents. As middle-eastern as they get. Totally unisex. Crazy strong. Crazy sillage. One of the best of the best value for money - as well as Oud Mood and Opulent Oud. 10/10, love, hall of fame
This little shiny bottle is a beast! Very incense-like oud with sweet praline and vanilla in the back and powdery rose infused into it all. Insane performance especially on clothes. Extremely intense on the opening with heavy incense/saffron then mellows out to a sweeter incense scent. Overall its a very middle eastern smelling beginner oud. Personally I love it but not blind buy safe at all, especially if you live in the West. I've heard it compared to bakhoor before and I think that's a pretty accurate description.
This is NOT close to Resala by Arabian Oud. This is a feminine, linear vanilla praline scent, while Resala actually smells like all the notes it has listed and has very strong projection and longevity. Shagaf Oud is very strong as well, and it easily lasts 10+ hours, so go easy on the sprays if you wish to buy it.
This fragrance is lovely, and royal for sure. Absolutely eternal, and truly only for cold weather. The juice is extremely dense, rich, and refined. It's a combination of resinous woods with a dark rose to my nose. It hints at oud for sure, and that dark nature of it makes this unisex to me. This is my first rose scent, and it definetly is appealing ( I don't really gravitate towards it). Since my lady likes rose a lot, I wanted one scent we could share. The scent does not really change in my opinion. I sense all the same notes throughtout the duration. I feel like a prestigious prince when I wear this. I can see this being challenging to some Americans because it does have a distinctive arabic aroma to it. The scent is fairly "soft" overall and can't really offend people unless you overspray (4 sprays is a lot). Bottle is elegant and fancy as well. Only problem is it's solid, so you have to guess on your remaining amount. For the price? A MUST buy if any of the notes sound appealing to you.
This is my first arabic fragrance ever. I got it for my birthday from my cousin a few years I go and every time I put it on, everybody knows that I am PRESENT. Absolute nuclear projection and eternal longevity, goes neck-to-neck with spongebob fragrance in that department. I went out clubbing one night with my friends and put Shaghaf Oud on. It was 9pm when I left the house. My friends were complimenting me every half an hour. I came back home from the club at 5am and woke up at 12pm for lunch. I went into the kitchen and my mom was like:"Why did you put on a parfum for lunch at home?" and the best thing is I DIDN'T! That is 17 hours longevity and beast mode projection. Where else can you find it for 20-30 bucks/euros?
Strong and potent smell. Smells like a stereotypical middle eastern guy getting a skinfade in an arab barbershop. Not my cup of tea personally, but I can regnoze its not a bad smell by any means, just very specific and not blind buy safe.
Although i hate rose as a man I've pulled the trigger on this one after watching countless videos on the net about how great value and performing this is. Well they weren't lying. For its ridiculous price of 30 dollars the rose/vanilla/oud is very well made and sits on my skin very pleasantly. Its lasts 4-6 hours on skin and 1 day on my clothes. I was very surprised by this one. You smell like a young arabian business man that's going for an evening event after closing a million dollar deal. 7/10 good fragrance.
It's dark and woody, Agarwood and praline are very prominent, rose lingers around, becomes prominent in the drydown. I for the love of me can't smell the vanilla in this thing. It's obviously very good at being a standard oriental oud middle eastern kind of perfume. It won't put you in the spotlight though, growing up in the middle east, when I first put my nose to this thing I seriously got like 100 flashbacks of random people and random interactions. This thing smells so incredibly generic middle eastern. If you're living outside of the middle east, this thing for sure can grab the attention of your proximity, however it is definetly something I could wear when I am travelling around in Europe or Asia. At home it's too generic and wouldn't put me out there, everyone has smelt this before. That doesn't mean it smells bad though, this specific combination of notes however is so common that I've kind of grown tired of it because it seems like everyone here knows a guy that smells like this. If you are situated outside of the middle east and are looking for an oriental oud fragrance that captures the embodiment of middle eastern oud, this is likely the most common and generic smell you can get and is probably what you're thinking of. Longetivity is pretty good, lasts approximately 9 hours on me with a sillage I would describe as strong, but not extremely strong. Can be worn by both males and females, however I personally wouldn't like this on a girl but that's just an anecdote. I'd say price value is okay, it's cheap but doesn't give any unique vibes to me. If the paragraph above describes what you are looking for, go for it. You'll be unique, you'll draw attention, you'll stand out - as long as you're not in the middle east. Then you'll just be every other guy.
This is definitely a cold weather scent. I think it's nice, but not a safe blind buy. It is pretty strong and sweet. Pretty unisex.
Smells good but the projection is barely for couple of hours not sure why people hype the sillage and projection on this so much. Maceration hasn't helped with the projection and sillage either. I ordered from belvish india not sure if it's a batch issue but the mfg says April 2025
Came across this wonderful fragrance back in 2021. Bought another one in 2025, and have a backup bottle on the way now in 2026. Shaghaf Oud is beyond beast mode; it's nuclear! Definitely a must-have for your collection to have in rotation. I always get compliments when I wear this.
The main accords are there, balanced & not particularly overly synthetic. But it doesn't strike w/me as intense, in fact the balancing of the accords results in a nice and subtle scent bubble - nothing overpowering. This is far more subtle of an oud than lets say eternal oud lattafa and I would not characterize any rose or vanilla as pronounced, in fact it's faint at best. If I wanted a Oud & Rose fragrance though, this is not the one to get, that would be Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Woman, the Tom Ford Noir de Noir clone. If I wanted an oud vanilla I would probably go with Franck Olivier Oud Vanille. Those are far more rich. This isn't bad but it's not memorable and or punches above its weight, whereas Club de Nuit Intense Woman gives you that jammy rose and feels like 3x - 4x times its price.
Used to own this absolute beast. This fragrance has that typical Arabic smell because of the combination of oud, rose and saffron. But oh my days this thing is NUCLEAR I had this like almost 2 years ago and I returned within the first 3 weeks of having it because the drydown is where it started to lose me. Chocolate was just dominating the whole thing and it was unbearable which is a shame. For me in my ouds I absolutely hate gourmand notes in the fragrance I feel like it just loses its “Middle Eastern” vibe. But what’s making want to repurchase this again is the amount of comments I got on this. When I first sprayed this bare in mind I’m an over sprayer and I think I did at least about 10 sprays with this and when I tell you this thing was hurting my nose I’ve never experienced something so potent in my life. It wasn’t even filling up the whole room it was filling up the whole entire house that just speaks volumes for itself. Same day I was walking in front of two girls and the sillage must’ve been going crazy because one of them said “it smells really nice” and then literally again later on when I walked in front of her she said it again but emphasised it “it smells really really nice”. That’s when I knew this fragrance can definitely attract a LOT of attention so be mindful of the sprays I got lucky I got positive comments and not negative. See when I’m wearing any fragrance I feel like what I smell around myself is different to what others smell on me in the air especially so maybe the oud and vanilla might be dominating other peoples nose but then I be just smelling chocolate. So I’ll definitely repurchase this again soon and just see how I feel about it and I’ll definitely need to keep it longer than 3 weeks because obviously with time Arabian fragrances develop and get even better. But overall if you wanna get attention then this fragrance is the way to go. Even one spray is strong like when I first got this fragrance and did one single spray on my wrist bro it was projecting heavily like I was sitting in my living room and 5 hours later with this one spray on my wrist I got told “I can smell your perfume everywhere” and this living room is quite big and this was with ONE spray on the wrist it’s madness. These Arabian fragrances are serious.
Very strong presence. i think it's mostly masculine than feminine. I wanted to love this and gave it a try, but it's really not for me.
A very heavy, intense oriental fragrance dominated by a dense oud note. The oud smells hard, suffocating, paired with strong sweet notes that make the scent even heavier. This is strictly a cold-weather scent. Longevity is excellent, lasting for many hours with strong presence. However, the intensity heaviness and sweetness can feel annoying over time. 5/10
I got it with high expectations. I usually oud and vanilla based fragrances. I did like this one. But it met my expectations about 78%. If you have had lataffa khamrah and lataffa oud mood and layer them up , this shagaf oud exactly smells exactly like that. But a little less punchy/wiffy. I donno if I went nose blind or it needs maceration. Well any how it was a good bargain.
I’ve had this scent for almost two years. I only ever reached for it to casually spray on my beds sheets or room spray. I wore it the first time outside of my house today it was pretty snowy and cold out and here are my thoughts: 1.) Projection is intense. I sprayed my ankles and my chest. 3 Sprays for a nice scent bubble. Not gonna lie the first chest spray nearly choked me out. 2.) This scent is rather niche. it’s not blind but safe ( i did and wish i could return it) It’s unisex in a sense where you can’t tell if a person just smells like their house or if it’s a fragrance. 3.) Last over 10 hours. I sprayed it on my skin and had a moderate projection all day even over a sweater and a coat. I’d give it a 6/10 . i don’t hate it but i don’t see this growing on me . Smells nice though.
