A well performing and well crafted scent. Oud Wood Intense is leathery and with a distinctive, ever-present oud note. For me it is masculine and bold while also conveying some class. There are some some woody/herbal notes in that background that soften the composition and add that sense of class to the scent, I think this is the juniper and cypress. The ginger is faint but when I smell my arm the hint of spice from the ginger is there and makes a nice well rounded composition. I enjoy this fragrance and it is more of a cold weather scent and one for special occasions, perhaps a bit too bold for work and everyday use. In my opinion it is well suited to a man of 35 years plus. Performance is great and it easily lasts all day on my skin with very good projection. I'm happy to have tried Oud Wood Intense. 9/10. I'm very happy to have tried it.
Oudx2 Wood/2 + Incense = this parfum Very masculine , just 1 spray enough to feel it all day. Like it but do not prefer
Suggestion: Can we, as the world biggest fragrance community, step up and visit ifra or Tom ford? Or maybe both:p? And ask them politely to bring back all the good stuff like; Tobacco oud, tobacco oud intense, oud wood intense, plum japonais etc…. And also make all the private blend stronger like the used to be! Because it hasn’t been that long ago (2018/2019) that I sprayed oud wood and it lasted about a week on my clothing. And of course I’m not even talking about the first batches (2007/2014), those were like spraying pure perfume oil:p. Or the first time I sprayed Tuscan leather, never forget it had a sillage round 18 hours….. I really miss those moments… Ps…. Of course I would like to see this for more brands and perfumes like Gaultier2, Dior homme intense, Dior homme parfum, bvlgari pour homme etc…..
Oud Wood after thousand years of meditation. It's deep, dark, and full of philosophy. More animalic with breeze of ozonic-leather in the background of rustic wood. Majestic to my nose
I'm interested in a bottle of this perfume, if anyone has one available feel free to DM me. Thanks!
definitely not my favorite in terms of scent, but the idea and execution are good. it's a brash type of leathery-oudy scent that's very masculine. the people who might rock this on a daily basis : ghostrider. LOL
@Tughraal Shah I've got an unopened 50ml of Tobacco Oud Intense purchased from FragranceUSA if you're serious.
I can't find the intense versions anywhere of Oud wood & Tobacco Oud
at paper it smelled insanely masculine, woody and leathery, so it did on skin. but after some time the dry down smells like a beavers anus, but still masculine.
I enjoy this a lot, you have that really raw Tom Ford leather accord that's immediately present. That tones down to a slightly smoother suede and there is a nice woody cypress throughout the experience. It's leathery, resinous and a little smokey. I think the one thing this fragrance could benefit from is just the slightest bit of sweetness and brightness to kind of balance it out. Otherwise it's a great rugged, masculine fragrance that went under the radar it seems. I think it's also more approachable and wearable than people give it credit for. I'm not getting much in the way of oud. The very, very deep dry down is pretty similar to the dry down of jubilation xxv, I'm surprised I haven't seen others talk about that. Performance is good, no complaints there.
When they say intense they aren't joking. Not my personal type of profile, way too dark and animalic (castoreum), but I can appreciate the quality. 100% masculine fragrance, but not just any type of man can get away with wearing it, because IMO it's pretty daring especially the first 2 hours. Do not try on a test strip as all you will smell are the animalics. On skin, it's a smack in the face in the opening. Around the 2 hour mark it tames down, and becomes quite enjoyable. Still edgy, but manageable. Got to commend the house for not staying safe. djjdnewyork hit the nail on the head with this one (and made me chuckle), definitely niche and definitely not for the faint hearted. This is the type of scent I would imagine the character Wade Garret (Sam Elliot) wearing in the 1989 movie Road House. I like it, that opening is a monster, but the dry down is a little more tame. Would I wear this outside? Probably not because it doesn't really suit my personality, but I can appreciate it enough to use while I'm home. Again the dry down is really nice and my favorite part of the fragrance.
This is a beastly, hyper-masculine fragrance. If you seek woods, this checks the box. I am new to Tom Ford fragrances, and from the few that I have tried, I am happy with them. They are simple, get to the point quick, and shout high from the rooftop. Oud Wood Intense is very strong! With a moderate three sprays, I was getting complements with only one foot in the door. I had no idea that I was projecting so intensely. Being a fan of Royal Oud, I set out on a mission to aquire masculine, woody scents, and I hit a home run on this one. 9/10
I just wanted to give praise to this fragrance. It is a masterpiece! I don't own a full bottle because 1. It's discontinued and 2. ( though I love it, it's not quite my style - it's a very hard / bad guy / smack a h0e at 3 am type of fragrance - if you know what I'm saying lol j/k. It's good good - definitely worth experiencing at best.
I have a 100ml sealed Bottle, still inside original plastic. DM me if you are interested
It took me a bit to get this scent, it’s dark, bold, strong. It veers off a different path from the traditional version of oud wood. It’s heavily masculine, picture leather jacket , Harley vibes. It could be off putting to some due to the castoreum and oud taking the main stage in the very strong way. Definitely recommend if you can get your hands on it however prices have increased for the vintage batches still around.
Well, it is indeed Tom Ford Oud Wood, and it is indeed more intense. How different is it? Not markedly so, but noticeably so. What is most noticeable about Intense as compared to the original is that, curiously, the oud seems to be dialed back rather than up, and the supporting accords are given larger doses. That sort of funky, sweet maraschino cherry type accord at the top that was present in the original has been rounded out to be dryer and a bit less cloying. It's more like Luxardo cherry than canned maraschino cherry. What's more is that the animalic skankiness of the oud in the original has been dialed back in favor of cleaner animalic notes, mainly castoreum, which provides a nicer leathery touch, and cleaner green notes of evergreens and angelica. To bring this all back around to my first point, I cannot say that "intense" is the best name for this; if the original Oud Wood spoke at a volume of 6 or 7, this speaks at roughly an 8 - which is different, and higher, but not "intensely" so; none of the accords are more intense either, just augmented to be dryer and a bit more seamless. So, rather, this Intense version is a more well-rounded presenting of Oud Wood to give it a touch of elegance and complexity. It's Oud Wood better behaved, dressed-up, its more difficult aspects given a clean-up and better lighting. To conclude, I will say that this is what the original Oud Wood should have been released as. If you already own the active release of Oud Wood, should you seek out Intense? No, they are not different enough to justify owning both and paying what will surely be enormous sums of money on the aftermarket. If you don't own the original Oud Wood, is it worth seeking out Intense? That depends on how hard you want to look for it and how much you are willing to pay. You will be up against Tom Ford fan-boys and collectors, and Intense is certainly going to command massive aftermarket prices. If this type of oud fragrance is a love of yours, and you don't own either, then by all means chase after Intense. If, like me, you "like it" but aren't head-over-heels in love with it and no have desire to seek it out for a collector's sake, then look for the original Oud Wood from wholesalers or the aftermarket where it will most certainly be cheaper than retail, and you can and will consider that job-done. Or just buy a better oud perfume from another brand (of which there are loads)....
A dusty wood smell, almost strong enough to be offensive. Almost has a salty or "natural odor" quality like you encounter with musk smells. A little masculine for my tastes and not a crowd pleaser, definitely a "dirty" sexy smell. Longevity is great, to the point where scrubbing in the shower isn't enough to get it all off, so be prepared to commit if you spray this on.
Batch - AC9 (2019) Oud Wood Intense is a monster in a bottle (in a good way) This undoubtedly the craziest release from this house, smells like leather and burnt rubber, i get touches of the original oud wood but not enough to call this fragrance "oud wood intense" This fragrance is sheer strength and performance it's crazy 24+ hours of longevity and 10+hours of projection. This is not for the faint of heart or for untrained noses at all. This will hardly get compliments since its super harsh and strong, i still love it. 8.5/10
this is the fragrance that John Wick could wear.
the best inimitable leather on earth , Tom Ford at his best.
Too many frauds in the comment section eh?
If anyone has this please DM me.
Smells like Detol or Betadine or something similar like that. Also reminds me of a burnt stew, I smell smoke, meat, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and sweet herbs. I do love it.
I can feel some DNA of "original" oud wood (very pleasant and acceptable for most people), but compare to Intense version it was water. The power of the scent is so intense, strong and long lasting, that it becomes a problem. I love strong scents, but it feels like you put a grease on you skin. I bet only small percent of people can tolerate so intense smell for a long time (and this frag will lasts 2 days even if you trying to rib it out with water and soap). Clearly for cold weather, open space and trained nose.
This smell takes you on a journey. The opening is amazing. Very woody smell of timber and aromatic oils. Very masculine! After few hours though you will smell like beaver’s anus.
If anyone has a new or used bottle of this, please PM me.

Tom Ford Oud Wood Intense. I struggle to pick a number one from this house. It's between this one and Tobacco Oud Intense for me, and it all comes down to my mood and what I feel like wearing that day. If I want something more complex, sweeter, and warmer, I'll say it's TOI. If I am in the mood for something dry and butch, it'd say this beauty right here. As so many have already mentioned, there is no common ground that this perfume and the original Oud Wood share. Perhaps the mother brand. This fragrance could have been named "Aromatic Leather" or something along those lines, as the two facets are most prominent to my nose. Aromatic qualities in the opening, dry leather for the most part, dry woods, sweaty musks, and to my surprise, a good amount of salty and inky oakmos in the base. It feels rather monolithic, although there are some clear transitions from the top to the base. The opening is very aromatic and calls back some old-school men's colognes. Juniper, cloves, and ginger abound. Later, the beautiful cypress joins in. Shortly after the initial burst, the leather creeps in and stays throughout. I'd imagine the castoreum works to define most of this leather accord. It feels like an Oriental take on leather, somewhere between refined and rough, smoky and musky, with an intoxicating allure. It is a dark but mysterious perfume. The woods are there, although I wouldn't scream "Agarwood" at the smell of it. It comes across as fumigating wood, therefore, I believe part of the traditional incense-burning bakhoor is showcased through it - a leather garment infused with bakhoor smoke. In the later stages, I get this constant creamy and salty muskiness that pairs with an equally salty, bitter, and inky oakmoss. It lingers on the skin and clothes for days and smells incredibly enticing. The overall experience is bone dry, with no sweetness whatsoever, with plenty of leather, wood, smoke, musks, and earthy-aromatic facets. I understand why this perfume doesn't appeal to so many Tom Ford fans, as it stands alone among the other releases from the house. It is a pure androgynous beauty, and those who like them butch and assertive, as well as those who love Leather-Orientals, will find much to appreciate here. I know I love it. IG:@memory.of.scents
ONE spray to the wrist is more than enough to enjoy OWI all day and into the evening. Probably the next day too. So get yourself a decant and enjoy it for years. For me, I don't even need to apply this one to skin; just spraying my shirt cuff once is enough to enjoy it all day long.12 hours after applying to my sleeve, my girlfriend was complaining that I smelled like ass that evening, and she could smell it from arm's length away. 'Tis indeed the second-best ass I ever buried my nose in.
Got a bottle, looking to sell or swap. Approx/above 40ml left. Accepting offers. Thanks
