Sand Desert At Sunset

This is one of my very favourite perfumes! To me, this is dry cinnamon powdered on some warm, sweet cake with candied orange peel. Still, the scent also represents a Scots Pine forest on a sandy heath in early autumn, with heather and reindeer lichen on the ground and the setting sun drenching everything in amber. The dupe/schoop situation is so uninteresting to me - I own and really enjoy Sharaf Blend, own and like Khamrah but think the latter is a bit too much (heavy, oudy, not a fan of that). Both of these are sticky and syrupy and kind of in your face. Sand Desert at Sunset is none of that. Zero oudiness/smokiness, zero sticky syrup. Just a cloud of early autumn sweetness with the ember sun shining through. They nailed the name. Just that my ”desert” is borderline to the polar region.

This fragrance reminds me of those chocolates that have a syrupy liqueur inside them. It's sweet, powerful and slightly cloying, but it's the mix of jaffa-cake orange, gingerbread spices and what seems to be brandy or cognac that really elevate it and create something closer to a Christmas cake. Two sprays last all day on my skin, and persist for longer on my clothes. Only viable as a winter scent, or on a colder day in autumn. Great value for money and my favourite from Zara. The atomiser is the worst I've come across. 5/10

One of the richer and sweeter perfumes of Zara

This is more like a fresher, airy,tonic and spicer version of AS, I bought in 2023, sprayed few times and forgot as it was weak unforgettable type but after almost a year in 2024 I revisited and it became stronger 💪 and better idk how but yes so I sprayed a lot in my car on and off and people always praise it, not bad after sitting that long

This is similar to angel's share, but not the clone as people may have put it to be. This is a spicier, drier, tad bit more airy This is dominantly cinnamon, tonka/vanilla, perhaps a bit of cedar in the backbone. I don't quite smell chocolate or dark chocolate, but I do sense a hint of incense. That being said, it is a unisex fragrance with a really good value for money.

I LOVE THIS, I smelled this on a man on a motorcycle and I had to have it (and im a girl) so attractive for a woman, price is OK.

Beautiful scent for colder weather, not overly sweet, just the right amount of all the notes - chocolate, orange, some Christmas spices. It's a little powdery, creamy and milky too. Well blended, sophisticated, inoffensive perfume, pleasure to wear, calming, warm and relaxing. Recommended, specially for the price!

It's nice- brilliant for the price. But to my nose kinda boring. I can't complain though considering how good the value is. I kinda get chocolate and cinnamony note. Very pleasant easy to grab in the colder weather as it doesn't offend my nose. Found good use for it in layering. Smelling the intense version in the store smelt pretty similar.. might have to do side by side.

An impulse buy while searching for pants :) For its price, this fragrance works a thousand percent. The opening may seem too sweet, but the excessive sweetness quickly fades, giving way to a beautiful blend of tonka beans, chocolate, cedar, and perhaps old paper. I also can smell light notes of tobacco and incense, but I can hardly smell the orange at all. Very sexy one. If you want to smell like a million bucks in winter without spending more than you would on lunch at the food court, this is the one for you.

It smells very unisex. It smells a lot like candy imo. It smells something that is very very edible. It is current summer so it is nigh unwearable, but I'd imagine this is an amazing winter scent.

I expected this to be super masculine and cologne-like but it’s very unisex! Really similar to Kilian Angels’ Share but a tiny bit spicier, a little less boozy, and the light fresh apple scent in the dry down of Angels’ Share is replaced by a faint orange scent. I smell distinct iris and a tiny bit of incense and cedar, but no dark chocolate. Has moderate sillage and lasts nearly all day. It's an AS dupe, however, I think it's good enough to be considered it's own scent. I think AS is more apple forward, while this one leans boozier. Its a compliment-getter, for sure. I would consider it one of Zara's best perfumes, I wear it almost daily. It's good for a date night or just going out in general, I wear it regardless of season or occasion, it's that good. Very sweet scent, boozy, sugary, subtle wood notes. I love it, will rebuy whenever it runs out. Super worth it for the price. I got to smell the Intense version and its a sweeter, more cinnamon forward version of its original, not bad, but I still think this one is the best. I would recommend it to anyone as its perfectly unisex.

Amazing parfume for low budget, like oh my god... firstly i can smell a beautiful orange with this little and smooth smell of incense that is slowly becoming the smell of orange chocolate, perfect for autumn, winter and spring. I have already gotten some compliments, in my opinion this is parfume for men and for woman perfect for everyone. Longevity (on my skin)- eternal Sillage- strong Gender- unisex Price- great value

now that i wear it for almost a year,i like it.....it is sweet,unisex and quite unique (for me)......for it's price,this smells rich and expensive,complex enough that it doesn't smells like any of Bath & Body Works body mist or in other word 'juvenile' smelling....

Similar to Angels Share (AS)? Yes, they are maybe 2nd Cousins, cousins at best but certainly not siblings and definitely not twins. The orange, citrus notes as well as the iris really makes this different enough for me to justify having both. This is also fluffier, softer, more airy. I really like this one. What I've discovered with ZARA fragrances-trust the public. What is popular is popular for a reason. There is a lot of 'crap' being made by ZARA and quite a few gems to get your hands on. Here, lies a gem. So at first, I was a little disappointed in the strength of the scent. I was expecting a denser, sweeter, chocolate, citrus, iris fragrance but was given an airier, lighter, fluffy pseudo-gourmand. Top notes are chocolate orange, cinnamon tonka, and iris. Very Christmasy! I always get one of those chocolate oranges for Christmas and cinnamon spice certainly exudes the Holidays and both are present in SDAS. This is masterfully blended, light, airy, and can be worn year-round, but probably best for temps between 50-80. Maybe a bit too much cinnamon for high Summer temps. Anyway, snag yourself a big bottle for $40 and enjoy.

Unfortunately very weak for me. Multiple sprays, but hardly going beyond intimate sillage and didn't even last more than two hours. It smells like a warm spicy chocolate-y, cinnamon-y cedar. It's an alright smell, but nothing too special. Very subdued. I see a lot of comparisons here to Angel's Share - I'd say the only similarity is that they both have cinnamon. This isn't anywhere near as heavy the cinnamon either, along with no boozy note. Overall, with its standard notes and lack of sillage/last for me, it's not really worth it even for its low cost.

I'd say it's a more subtle, subdued, discreet version of Angels Share with a twist. I can definitely sense a chocolate covered orange and the iris note and it completely lacks the boozy brandy/cognac apple pie the original has, but they are definitely cousins. If AS is perfectly unisex, this one I find to be just a tad more on the male side, especially in the dry down. Performance isn't too bad either, for the price. Personally really loving it.

I love this. I get a buttery cinnamon-toast vibe from it. Not too sweet, but not dry-and-dusty, either. Nicely riding that middle of the scale. Definitely unisex. This one is a fave from me. Longevity is not great--that's my only downside.

It smells like a more subdued version of Angel’s Share in the opening, but then it evolves into something unique. Unlike Angel’s Share, I can clearly detect iris in this fragrance. However, it must be clarified that this scent does not possess any of Angel’s Share’s allure neither its addictive gourmand aspect, longevity, sillage, nor its boozy vibe. The only positive aspects are its price and the fact that it doesn’t feel overly synthetic.

Let me start by saying that I'm into unisex perfumes, so if this one were purely for men, I wouldn't even try it. The notes are fine; it's a perfect autumn fragrance (in my mind, it's only autumn, though it could also work for winter). BUT This is not a particularly unique scent, first of all. (I also own Lattafa Khamrah, so I can't decide which one to wear today since they're from the same category.) My biggest complaint is that this perfume feels suffocating—I can hardly breathe and often get headaches. I made the mistake of wearing it during summer, and it felt awful (not the smell itself, but the overall experience). So, if I didn't have these issues like headaches, etc., I would say it's a good perfume for the price.

Let's start off correctly - this is not a clone of Angel's Share. AS has a very distinct cognac/apple brandy note and is much sweeter than Sand Desert at Sunset. SDAS rather is doing its own thing, but it is undeniable that there might have been some inspiration. The smell is comforting, inviting, and warm. The opening's orange and cinnamon leave you out like a bakery, in a great way that is never overpowering. The tonka and chocolate drydown is for me the most prominent part, and I do not smell an incense or iris note as listed. I wish there was a vanilla note on this, but it could have been disastrous. Its a beautiful scent whose dry down are reminiscent to me of Hugo Boss' The Scent for Him, but with less freshness and leaning into the sweetness of the notes. Lasts a long time on me and 24 hours plus on my girlfriend which is insane. Pretty unisex leaning male IMO. I got it as a Christmas Secret Santa gift (impressive choice by my uncle), so can't comment on value fairly. But damn, its a great pricetag for what you get. If you are into gourmand and sweet fragrances, please get your nose on this.

I get nothing but orange, iris, and incense. 90% of it is iris. Very feminine, with pitiful performance. It would smell nice on a woman, but she'd have to douse herself in it for anybody to smell it. You get what you pay for

I bought this in spring 2024 and didn’t wear it until today, as I’m really not into smelling sweet. Stayed home alone today and applied about 4 light sprays at 08:30. It’s now 20:00 and I can still smell it on me. I think I could get used to it.

Is the longevity of the intense version better than this one? Is it also big difference between this one and the intense version?

I find it to be very similar to Jaipur Homme... Very similar indeed !
