I really love this perfume, i layer this with Valaya Exclusif and the smell is so etherial

Анонім

I don't even have to smell this to know it's garbage. How do I know you ask? It's made by Bisch!

Анонім

Got a sample of this and yes i still prefer decision over this. Existence is just too aldehydic and soap smelling like with very little sweetness and alot of musk

Анонім

@saramariah It doesn’t smell like Delina AT ALL.

Анонім

Delina is that you..? 🙄

I couldn’t even get through a 2 ml sample of this before buying a whole bottle. Existence makes me feel like an ethereal angel flying through the misty morning air. It’s very aldehydic, super cooling and has a “wet” quality. It kind of smells like cold honeydew melon that has been in the fridge for a couple days. you know that smell of a honeydew that has slowly begun to rot/spoil in the refrigerated air? It’s sweet, lightly musky, very potent and is the definition of a pretty perfume. After my second wearing of this perfume, it SHOT into my top 10 from Amouage. Edit* Some actual lowlife has been going through and downvoting every single one of my reviews because apparently he has nothing better to do with his time. It’s unfortunate, but some of the most miserable people I’ve ever seen seem to just sit on Fragrantica waiting for something to hate on. This dude even took time out of his day to DM me personally just to tell me he doesn’t like my reviews. Imagine being that bothered by someone reviewing perfume on the internet 😭 What a loser 🤣

There's something decaying in soapy-land. Yes, it's aldehydic and fresh on the surface, but there's a rotten undercurrent from beginning to end that makes it unbearable. Very long-lasting, and good sillage, if you want to smell like you applied fragrance just to cover up a very unfortunate problem. Not for me, and not for my wife who disliked it even more than I did. Update 8/14/26: I read a lot of reviews before sampling this fragrance, so I thought I was the only one getting a persistent thread of something rotten. But then Ombregray posted a few days later and also used the term "rot/spoil" (although that seems to be a net positive, since it's a "love" review), so I searched "rot" on this page and found one from Emanemone on 7/8/25 also describing a rotting smell (and a strong "dislike," like me). Looks like there are at least three of us in the world who smell something spoiled in Existence, even if our final impressions of the fragrance are different. Wish I knew what it was...

I have never been a big fan of ‘clean’ ‘soapy’ fragrances and always thought I hated aldehydes in fragrance, but after falling in love with Valaya I thought I would give this a go. The initial spray and 5 minute settle down smells like straight up toilet bleach. It has settled into a softer, soapy rose on the dry down but I can’t get into liking this one, especially for the price

Re-purchasing Amouage Existence, because this smells totally different on me in the high, summer heat than it did when I tried it in colder weather. No stringent, cat pee like smell. For me, this is definitely a summer, high heat fragrance, and surprisingly work appropriate.

One of the cleanest luxurious soapy perfumes

The initial burst is lovely. Existence is a clean, soapy, and sparkly musk but then my nose detects something really synthetic and almost waxy. It doesn't overpower the fragrance, but it stood out in the first 10-15 minutes before it mellowed. As the scent developed, I fell deeper in love with it. The ambergris and floral interplay is intoxicating. It has a wonderful texture. I ordered a full bottle from Amouage and had it engraved. This fragrance is done well and I don't expect anything less from THEE Quentin Bisch! Yes, this is comparable to Musc Nurasana, but they aren't the same. Musc Nurasana is spicier and does not contain ambergris.

OMG my very first review 😅 so I tested Soleil Vert by Chloe and realised it smells almost identical to this one just to find out here that both are created by same master/nose 💁🏻♀️and I was like …. ohhhhh that’s why …. 🤔 I like both of them, yet it’s not a safe blind buy

You’re in a hotel bathroom in Eastern Europe. Not far from the sea. Your partner is checking you in. All the workers at the front desks are wearing the same shade lipstick. The other person in the bathroom set their backpack on the ground. Soap, white and engraved with the logo, is fragrant but you can’t decipher what exactly is the soap and what is flowers by the sink. The backpack on the ground doesn’t smell bad but did not get to the hotel in a taxi like you did.

This is a masterpiece. There is nothing else like it. Sparkling, crisp, fresh, green, and clean aldehydes and lily of the valley in the opening with the slightest sweetness from a ripe pear note - I sense this- and delicate tendrils of soapy rose dance on the wings of the most stunning frankincense. The tension between this ethereal opening crispness and the GORGEOUS warm true ambergris and labdanum in the dry down is mesmerizing . And, what a performer! With room-filling silage- I prefer not to overspray- and exceptional longevity, Existence is a major presence without being skanky or overbearing. It’s also a head turner and compliment getter. This is niche perfumery at its apex. A modern classic.

This is stunningly beautiful! When I first tried it I wasn't completely sure about it. I didn't think I liked frankincense in a perfume but I was wrong. It intermingles magically with the lily of the valley the aldehydes and the musk. The frankincense doesn't come across incense like, it anchors the other notes and gives the entire composition balance. This perfume I feel sits in a category of its own and now I crave it and it's got me looking for other similar fragrances.

Just take a shower with a cheap soap and put some dove lotion after that. Done and you save 350 USD.

This is stunning. None of the notes or 'this perfume reminds me of' suggestions could have prepared me for how beautiful this is. Upon initial application its fresh, aquatic, sort of a white tea variety scent. I didn't expect it to stick around because of its fresh qualities in that way that citrus scents don't. But as it settles you get that lily of the valley and rose. I don't smell rose when I put my nose to it, but I smell rose in the air around me. Its clean, but also a little fruity and floral. Its not soapy, or laundry detergent clean, its some sort of mystery third option haha. If I had to criticize it, on ONE wrist where I sprayed it but not the other, theres some sort of note that turned just a LITTLE sour. On ONE wrist it lost a little of its freshness. No idea what caused that!

Once again, worth every penny and of course another piece of art by Quentin Bisch! The smell wakes me up and makes me look forward to the day ahead. I feel like its the icing on the cake as I'm stepping out to meetings, there is nothing like looking and smelling good, I feel like a polished sophisticated business woman when I have this on. Gob bless Quentin x

I have to confess, Amouage fragrances are either a complete hit or a complete miss for me. It’s always 0 or 100, there’s absolutely no middle ground. I’d been hearing so many people talk about Existence, and when one of my favorite online discounters had a very last bottle at a good price, I decided to take a very risky blind buy leap. What intrigued me the most was the story behind the fragrance. The idea of capturing the feeling of standing above a sea of clouds, breathing in crisp mountain air while feeling grounded by the earth below, sounded almost impossible to translate into scent. I couldn’t help but wonder how perfumery could bring that vision to life. When the bottle finally arrived, I cautiously sprayed… half a spray. If you know Amouage, you know why. Their fragrances don’t play around, and to be completely honest, I’m one of Guidance’s biggest haters. I made the mistake of blind buying it the day it launched, and let’s just say I’m still recovering from that experience. 🤣 I’m beyond happy to report that Existence was love at first sniff. I can genuinely see the artistic vision the creator was trying to paint. It really does evoke that feeling of clean, icy air, open space, quiet luxury, and serenity. It’s airy without feeling empty, soft without disappearing, and elegant without trying too hard. To make the experience even better, my husband complimented me almost immediately after I sprayed it, which rarely happens before I’ve even left the room. To me, this is the epitome of the “clean girl” aesthetic in fragrance form. It’s effortlessly refined, incredibly luxurious, and quietly confident. No loud sweetness, no overwhelming heaviness, just pure sophistication. Needless to say, this blind buy was one of my best fragrance purchases in a long time.

this smells like premium laundry. not my style at all, but if you spray it on clothes it will smell like the most premium clean scent you can have

This is one of those fragrances that completely disarmed me. Every time I wore it on skin, I found myself thinking, “Wow… this is gorgeous.” Today, I finally stopped trying to resist it. 💰💰💰💰 Existence smells like the most impeccably dressed woman in the room—the one who isn’t trying to impress anyone. Everything about her is effortless. Her clothes fit perfectly, her hair falls naturally, her makeup is barely there, and somehow she’s the person everyone notices. That’s exactly how this fragrance behaves. It’s undeniably clean, but not in the usual “fresh laundry” or “just showered” way. There isn’t a soapy sharpness or an overdose of white musks. Instead, it’s a luminous, velvety cleanliness with remarkable depth. The musk is soft and almost skin-like, while the frankincense and ambergris create an airy, mineral glow that lends the fragrance a quiet sophistication rather than an overtly incense-forward character. Lily of the valley brings brightness without becoming green or watery, and the rose feels like a sheer veil rather than a bouquet. Everything is blended so seamlessly that it’s difficult to pick out individual notes. What impressed me most is its restraint. Nothing screams for attention, yet people notice it. About an hour after applying it, I walked into work and a colleague immediately asked, “What are you wearing? You smell so good.” That perfectly sums up Existence. It projects beautifully, but it never invades someone’s space. It has presence rather than volume. This is elegance without effort. It’s polished without feeling formal, luxurious without trying to prove it, and unmistakably modern while retaining that unmistakable Amouage refinement. Some fragrances try to make an entrance. Existence simply walks into the room—and somehow everyone looks up.

I’ll be repetitive, but Quentin Bisch’s creations are magnetic for me. The first time I smelled Existence, I was abroad, and without any doubt, I sprayed it on my skin without even testing it on a blotter . It was love at first sniff: the lily of the valley, the clean and soft notes, slightly powdery, and a cold, ethereal incense... with a slight touch that reminded me of something elegantly vintage. It’s a fragrance I use a lot, with great persistence and sillage, wonderful, nothing more to add. 'Les demoiselles d’Avignon' painted by Picasso."

2 years ago we met some really rich people in Oman. I was first introduced to Amouage. I thought the fragrance they wore were tacky. Too strong, projected too loud and too long. But today I have been reintroduced and I am grateful.

I will wear it every day of the year bcs is my beloved One!

On first application, I primarily detected the influence of the mystikal. Although I found the mixture of it with the florals and aldehydes pleasant, my first response was concern it would evolve into an incense bomb. I was happily surprised when it continued to blend with woody notes without becoming suffocating. I do think it has the potential to do that if one were to over apply for existing conditions. For me, one spray was perfectly fresh as well as warm and sensual. Longevity on me is generally all day with Amouage so I am anticipating that but don’t know yet. I can see performance to suit a wide range of temperatures with the most caution being in really warm, humid climates. So far, it’s a keeper for me.

This perfume is truly beautiful! It's hard to discern what makes Existence so special on the first spray, but as it dries the character becomes exceptionally pure and white and leaves the most gorgeous sparkling silage. I find it's easier to appreciate the full nature of this scent when you smell it on someone else walking by, rather than wearing it yourself. Very beautiful and unique scent.

The first seconds it reminds me of She Was An Anomally and Kurky, these two have the same type of foam like musk. Then it morphs into a fresh almost creamy skin sheen that’s ventures into a fairytale musk with a luxurious aura. She Was An Anomally and Kurky are linear fragrances. Kurky is cute and light. SWAA is potent, perfect alone or to layer. But Existance is multidimensional and luxurious.

Perfume lovers worldwide agree that Amouage and its recent releases have become a very luxurious niche brand, and all the renowned perfumers have become an integral part of this house. The experience with the Existence fragrance was truly wonderful and exceeded all expectations. I never imagined I would own a perfume that combined aldehydes, which I disliked due to their excessive use in Chanel perfumes, especially No. 5, which puts me in a bad mood. The perfumer Quentin Biche's ingenuity in blending the fragrance with frankincense, rose, and mastic has created a scent that takes you on a journey from East to West, passing through all civilizations. It's a beautiful, captivating fragrance that speaks for itself and needs no introduction; it speaks volumes about you. Its longevity is extraordinary and powerful, lasting up to two days on clothes and a full day on the skin. What a magical fragrance! I believe it only comes along once every ten years. Therefore, I tip my hat to it and recommend it to niche perfume enthusiasts only. I find it superior to Decision from the same line, and that's my opinion. 10/10
