Great warm-weather everyday scent. I was also a big fan of Absolu Aventus, but have yet to try the OG. I get a bright, smoky citrus and ginger-ale, then a clean musk. I go nose-blind to this, so I go every other day with Green Irish Tweed, but I've been told it's projecting and leaving a strong sillage even 6 hours later, and I'll have only 2 or 3 sprays on. Find it on discounters because there are many things that smell like this, but I like the profile, and the performance is definitely there!

#159 of My Fragrance Journey - Creed Aventus Cologne: The one you wear when you've already got somewhere to be, not something to prove There's a specific kind of morning where the city hasn't decided what it wants to be yet. Pavements still cool. Someone's just cracked open a café door somewhere. Air's got that faint edge of rain, clean cotton, a bit of citrus peel drifting through. You shower, throw on a white shirt, step outside without needing to make an entrance of it. That's basically the whole fragrance in one image, honestly. Aventus Cologne isn't trying to be the original - that smoky birch, that big confident pineapple, all of that. It's gone lighter, cleaner, quieter. Less about announcing yourself, more like a breath of cool air first thing in the morning. Opens bright, crisp - mandarin peel, bergamot, a touch of ginger just to keep things moving without turning spicy on you. Feels like stepping into chilled morning air, honestly, with this faint sense of clean cotton and rain hanging around it. Not a loud opening. Just effortless. Like the original, it doesn't let any single note stand out too sharply - everything's blended together so you get the overall feeling before you start picking apart what's actually in it. Citrus fades slowly into a dry, green vetiver and a smooth sandalwood, both kept soft rather than harsh. Birch is there, but way in the background, and that famous pineapple isn't - what you get instead leans woody, musky, close to skin. Drydown's balanced. Smooth, woody, musky, doesn't ask for attention. Works fine for the office, works fine on a weekend, doesn't need an occasion to justify wearing it. It's confident, but the quiet kind - nothing theatrical about it. Performance's a mixed bag depending who you ask - some get five, seven hours out of it, others less. It does seem to cling to fabric longer than skin, which tells you it's built to sit close rather than project outward. Fits the whole personality of the thing, really - easygoing, especially in warmer months. Now, price. Can't really talk about a Creed without talking about price. It's positioned as luxury, and it costs like it, even though plenty of citrus-woody fragrances out there do something similar, sometimes longer-lasting, for a fraction of the cost. Community's split on whether that's worth it, and honestly, fair enough - I get both sides. It really does come alive in warm weather though - citrus and ginger seem to lift right off skin when there's actual heat involved. Summer fragrance, no argument there. But it's more than that too. It's a good-life fragrance, the kind you put on when you've got somewhere to be but don't need the bottle doing the talking for you. You already know where you're going. Overall, it's pared back, clean, versatile - not trying to dominate a room, just trying to keep you company through the day. Good pick if you want that understated elegance, that fresh woody feel, without carrying all the weight the original brings. Vibe: Cool pavement at 7am. Clean cotton and rain in the air. A white shirt and nowhere urgent to be. Performance: Inconsistent - five to seven hours for some, shorter for others. Sits close to skin, clings longer to fabric than air. Fit: Warm weather, daily wear, anywhere you want quiet confidence over a loud entrance. Anyone else find the Cologne flanker actually works harder in summer heat than the original ever did? better than classic aventus, but softer, smoother, lighter than classic aventus. Of course they are similar.

It does smell very close to the OG but it’s definitely toned way down. If I had money to burn I’d buy a bottle but I prefer the OG. I’ve sampled it a few times and I always end up wanting the pineapple note to be there. The absence of pineapple makes it less interesting to me but it’s still kinda nice in its own way.

I wore this today, went to my friends house. He was upstairs i was downstairs, and i heard him say ”wow it smells alot like Aventus here!” So it’s a really strong scent believe it or not. Lovely sporty, modern citrusy take on Aventus, I love it.

Анонім

This is an eternal scent for me. I wear it on my skin and and till I wake up the next day I still perceive it very strongly, and the Sharp note are clear. I think this is the fragrance of made men.

Анонім

Idk what it is about this flanker but women love this everytime I wear it strangers or friends that are women compliment me

Анонім

8/10 It's nice but I feel like it's a little unnecessary, Aventus is already fresh enough in my opinion. Don't understand why they removed the pineapple note.

Aventus and Cologne are almost the same. It's redundant to own both. The Cologne is lighter, brighter, and fresher. I get tired of people saying Aventus is sexy, it's smoky, blah blah. There's nothing sexy about it. They're both strong citrus ambroxan bombs. That's what Aventus is. So, this one gives you more of that which makes it the best one in my opinion. It's not unique, but It's one of the safest, most versatile, mass appealing fragrances that exists in high quality. it's something you can reach for and wear at any moment, day/night, for any occasion all year round. Like school, office, gym, famly/friends house, etc and you want to smell amazing, and of high quality, but it's not the occasion for sweet, incense, boozy etc. I got a good deal on it and it's one of my most solid purchases. Versace Eros Energy was already very close to original Aventus, but this one is closer. FYI, I’ve had business meetings several days a week for the past five weeks. Everyday I wore a different fragrance and no one has ever said anything until I wore this. I was asked what I was wearing and they were really interested. Maybe that helps.

Анонім

This is a spectacularly easy reach. I have this and Absolu and love both. You can throw this on with anything and be fine. It’s way more restrained than Absolu, which can be overapplied. I actually get more compliments with the Cologne than with the Absolu

Анонім

On paper... its an okay release; strips back the oomph that normal aventus has and dials up the citrus + musks in the background. It seems like the direction was to create a more mass appealing format, they were for sure trying to hit the designer/niche category that PDM targets BUT..... in practise..... it just works for some reason. Its light and airy and still has that classic aventus DNA done in a more refreshing modern way. Very easy to throw on, and leaves a beautiful trail Great release and performance is decent too my batch is 19x01

Water fragrance unfortunately. Bought two times and sold them both since I hadn’t paid for water and alcohol. They ruined this iconic brand completely. Nishane s taking over.

Анонім

Better than the OG and absolu in my opinion so good.

As someone who owns a full bottle of all the Aventus line, i can confidently say this is the most fresh and mass appealing. My second favourite after Absolu. Very refreshing and uplifting. In terms of the smell, i get a mandarin citrus/pink pepper with a pencil shavings type of smell in the background which i quite enjoy - probably the birch and cedar. It is quite linear but dries down to a pleasant musk and loses its sharpness after a few hours. Projects for about 5-6 hours on me before going to a skin scent for a few hours then disappearing completely. A very easy masculine dumb reach that is always fun to wear and inoffensive. 9/10

Creed Aventus Cologne is an "EDP". Despite having the word "Cologne" in its name, Creed Aventus Cologne (CAC) is formulated at EDP concentration. Creed uses the term Cologne purely as a stylistic reference to its brighter, fresher, and more citrus-forward profile—not to indicate lower concentration or weaker performance. Now, having owned multiple bottles of OG Aventus I can confidently say that CAC is not a watered-down OG Aventus nor is it simply "Aventus for summer." OG Aventus is built around contrast: juicy pineapple, smoky birch, woods, and musk. It has more weight, more drama, and more of a statement-making presence. CAC dialed the smoke way back and replaced it with sparkling mandarin, ginger, and crisp woods. It's brighter, cleaner, and feels effortlessly refined. To my nose, it is the more versatile of the two. Buy OG Aventus if you want: • More smoke • More presence • More occasion factor • The fragrance that changed the industry Buy Aventus Cologne if you want: • Something brighter and easier to wear • Maximum versatility • A cleaner, more relaxed version of the DNA • A fragrance that effortlessly works almost anywhere

i would say aventus cologne does not smell as good on paper as it does on skin. on paper it smells similar to aventus, with that tangy smoky birch feel to it. on skin, i don't really detect that, it's citrusy fresh and clean.

Анонім

Not bad, not great. Smells like shower gel or generic mens deodorant, for the price it's a miss 3/5 Much better scents for the money imo

Анонім

I love the og Aventus and blind bought this. I don't know if I got a bad batch or what, but it smelled very cheap in my opinion. If I didn't know the seller was legit, I would have most definitely thought I bought a fake. Performance was also very bad. So disappointed

@Besco90 *Aventus with toned down pineapple and smokiness

Анонім

this milkshake bring all the girl to the yard

Анонім

To @lkg90 The OG Aventus has pineapple in it. The birch and the pineapple and all three. So idk why you said AC is like Aventus with pineapple cuz the OG has pineapple in it too. SMH 🤦

Анонім

i have no idea how the og aventus or the popular f-batches smell like, but aventus cologne is exactly how i pictured aventus would smell like. i have a sample of aventus and it didn't smell too pleasing to my nose, it was overly smoky and i believe the black currant or birch made it impalatable. aventus cologne fixes these exact issues by removing both making it much more fresher and more importantly, wearable. i consider aventus cologne the best out of the 3, the only issue is that it would be out of place during evenings and the cooler weather. but it's definitely one of the best spring and summer scents out there.

A more sophisticated aventus 10/10

When I bought Aventus for the first time they gave me a sample of this as well but at the time I didn’t saw that it was Aventus cologne and I tried the sample first. It blew my mind..it was the best thing I have ever smelt. Then I sprayed the actual Aventus and I was a bit disappointed that didn’t smell the same and I thought it was some kind of batch variation. Nevertheless i fell in love with Aventus and it became my signature scent.Today I bought a full bottle of Aventus cologne and when I tried it it instantly reminded me that heavenly scent.I searched my old samples and I realized what happened back then. Now I have a new love!!! It’s basically Aventus with pineapple (there is pineapple in AC) and smokiness toned down. The mandarin and mint gives the zing the OG is missing. For me is the best fresh summer scent though I have to admit the OG is a little more versatile. The OG performs great on me and I am waiting to see how this will perform !!

Анонім

wore those for a good summer trip and tbh i started to realllly hate it .... heat could have hurt my batch which is why im refraining my complaints but regardless the scent gets boring, and too me almost gross - the spice scents were a bit overdone in '24 batch so on summer days you get tired of it quick... stick to silver mountain water for best freshness 5/10

Анонім

Does this have Pineappele yes or no? Because some places say it does and on here it says it does not.

Анонім

This is one of the best smelling fresh fragrances ever.I love wearing this fragrance! It projects well for about 4 hours and you’re blessing whoever smells this on you.

Анонім

Reminds me of PdM Percival. It's nice but has nowhere near the charm and swag of the original Aventus.

My brother visited me today and we took a walk to the seaside. I didn't smell the sea, but I caught whiffs of the Aventus Cologne he was wearing and it was lovely. Citrusy and also a kind of manly, maybe smoky undertone? It felt smooth and high-quality, like Chanel, but different.
