its just the most realistic smell ever even tho its all fake crazy stuff really nice u can layer with it easily
photorealistic black tea that smells like it’s been steeped for a little too long. it’s rich and honeyed but still manages to remain refreshing. I really like this for layering but it stands fine on its own too. to me it wears the best on fabric
i love it on my clothes but it doesn't work well on my skin, at least to my nose. i've gotten compliments on it, but to me, as someone before described it smells sort of 'agricultural'. the black tea is present however, especially in the drydown. as if i rubbed a wet bag of earl grey on my skin.
It's fresh, it's a bit sour, it's interesting, but not long-lasting. On my skin I feel it like honey, lemons and a bit of tea, but not as much as I would ideally love to.
Recently tried this in John Lewis, sprayed it on my pulse points and left. It ended up lasting all day even through washing my hands (and wrists) with soap. Opens citrusy, bright, and fresh, the dry down is woody and the most photorealistic black tea I have ever smelt (besides the real thing of course). Silage isn't crazy, but that makes it good for the warmer weather and crowded areas or for work. Found a BNWT bottle for £60 on Vinted and bought immediately. I love this scent, it is very cosy and I have been wearing since I got it, not overpowering in this warm weather. Would reccommend trying before buying as the Iso E Super note is different for everyone, personally it works for me and I really like it.
I have been trying to train myself to love this bc I like the concept of steeped black tea + something indescribable. However, my skin or nose unfortunately does not react well to iso e super, evoking black tea spilled on dry mulch. Pieces of wood in playground pits, eroded from years of children's shoes, plus a Lipton tea bag. No one else ever seems to perceive this though, so I always feel like I'm doing something wrong. Will keep trying. What a silly mission I've resigned myself to. Chief Keef signing off
I always go back and forth with this fragrance, some days I love it, some days I don't. This fragrance smells very tannic to me, like overstepped black tea in a wooden barrel. It's green, woody, a touch of sweetness lingering in the background. I need to be in the right mood to wear this.
This is a citrus forward scent, not too sharp and not too memorable either. Make me curious of how ISO E super smell like. Compare to : The Moon and I - this one has the dry tea leaf note that M1+BlackTea does not Wu Long Cha - this one has the green earthy note. Dear Poly - tea note is darker, heavier with ambroxan. The noir - Not at all similar because there is no citrus here.
When I tried this on paper last month, it was just wonderful fragrant black tea. Now, on skin, there is an odd powdery floral note hovering over the top, and there is a dense, almost smoky, leathery wood in the base. I think I’m going crazy, but it’s almost like a (much!) lighter TT Ursa! In any case, the main note for me is toasty yerba mate—not black tea.
Fuuuuuuck, my expression of receptors for Iso E Super isomers is below the necessary density, I CAN'T SMELL SHHIIIIIIIITTTT!!!!!!!!!!
I tried this at Scent Bar in LA last year and finally decided to order a sample. My decant is less photorealistic black tea than I remember and has a masculine edge rather than being purely unisex. Odd. Update: Gave this to my partner and he loves it. Not sure if this was reformulated, my taste changed or if the issue is the decant, but it is definitely more masculine leaning to my nose now. Just an FYI for the girlies out there, YMMV!
This smells exactly like the off-gassing of certain kinds of furniture. It has a sour, metallic, and animalic smell that I immediately regretted putting on. Very agricultural in a bad way. I don’t get black tea of any kind. But the ISO E Super does a great job of giving that horrible aroma shape and volume.
Who knew simple could be soooooo gooooooood?!
Simple, yet extremely comforting. A lovely black tea note, enveloped by molecule 01's signature iso gamma super. Refreshing, yet elegant. I enjoy spraying this on directly after a shower. Nothing groundbreaking, but for what it is really well done. And created by one of my absolute favorite perfumers of all time, the legendary Geza Schoen. My rating: 7.5/10
One thing I like about this fragrance is what you see is what you get. It’s very linearly and pointedly black tea. It lasted a long while on my clothes, 8 hours later and I can still smell it. It’s very unisex but I’ve been thinking about getting the Southern Peach Tea scent from Coastal Carolina and I like that one more than this one, has more of that fruity feminine accord.
Smells exactly like tea tonique by miller Harris
This perfume smells like taking a sniff of English Breakfast tea. The fragrance is completely inoffensive and suitable for school or work. It is also perfect for layering with other perfumes. The longevity and projection are average.
I've worn Molecule 01 + Black Tea all day and I'm so happy to have this fragrance in the collection. My summer fragrance last year was M1+ Mandarin and in the cooler months at work I was rotating M+ Iris and Patchouli. I say this to remind myself that while this was a "blind buy" I definitely had a clue what I was getting into. The tea hits me right away once this is sprayed. Like other reviewers have stated the smell of black tea bags is very present. I find it extremely pleasing. M+ Black Tea is considerably heavier than M+ Mandarin and much more casual than M+ Iris. The Iso Super is definitely here but like M+ Patchouli it blends so well that I don't really notice it. M+ Black Tea will be an amazing spring and summer fragrance. This definitely fits into that daytime category with the exception that this would be an amazing fragrance for evenings where you need to be considerate of others noses. Like nearly all Molecule fragrances this will do great layering. The projection and sillage are slightly below average. This is the type of fragrance where the scent seems come and go as it pleases, unless you're intimately close then the scent consistently sits about 6" off the skin. But the longevity is there on my skin. Is it on the next morning? No. Did I reapply twice throughout the day? Yep. Id say a beautiful fragrance lasting 5-6 hours is OK especially for a lighter fragrance. M+ Black Tea is a green, slightly earthy, almost spa like tea scent. It doesn't claim to be anything obscure, it's beauty is it simplicity and I'm so glad that simplicity translates to such an amazing fragrance. - 9/10 - Spring, Summer. Daytime. - Situation/ Location: Downtown Disney, Orlando FL, June, 11AM... A day spent window shopping, eating overpriced food, and buying things I don't need. - Song - "Telecommunication" - Blitz
After the first spray I knew it was so wrong for me. It is as if I bathed in sweet hot tea, overwhelming and dusty. After that, on my skin, it appeared green and woody but in a masculine way. Can’t appreciate this. Luckily the longevity is terrible, like 30 minutes tops, so I quickly forgot about this mistake.
I didn't like it, the black tea extract is not pleasant in itself and hardly resembles tea infusion. It's sour and earthy and ISO amplifies it further.
Not my favorite Molecule 01 flanker. Agree with the hint of licorice right off the hot and just sort of lacks the magnetic presence that M01 and some of the other M01+ variants do. My wife, who does not like M01 at all, says that this scent is the least offensive of the lot, for what that's worth (probably a lot actually?).
Loved it in the bottle, but unfortunately on me it smells extremely sweet, like peach iced tea rather than dry black tea.
This one really scared me when i first sprayed it. I swear it smelled like cattle poop at first. Luckily, it disappeared after like 10 minutes. Then almost an hour later the tea scent started to come out and it's beautiful tea scent, slightly sweet. Its not too strong, its suitable for all seasons and Its definitely unisex. Despite being an edt, the longevity is pretty long, on me it lasted around 7-8 hours. The sillage I would say its rather intimate, they won't smell you coming but they will smell you leaving.
No. Powder, lots of powder.
i am still looking for a perfect fresh not too sweet but comfortable smell of tea. this one i found too chemical and too sharp. guess gonna continue to look for THE tea.
Beautiful, light and cozy. Amazing photorealistic iced black tea and moderate to long lasting longevity. Bought this for me and my partner, but sadly on his skin it smells like a funeral home. It’s soo interesting how different molecules develop on different people. I can also see how people think it’s similar to Dear Polly.
I don’t like it. It’s very sweet and reminds me of nest Indigo.
This is my professional scent for the spring and summer — the quintessential professional scent, because it's lovely and engaging but it has NO personality. It smells like a really, really nice hotel (I feel the same way about Santal 33: lovely, corporate, professional). The black tea note is clear and sharp and a bit citric; the overall impression is clean and fresh.
I love this. It smells like a fresh sachet of English Breakfast tea, and it has a beautiful blueberry like note. It's fresh and clean, without being soapy.
