I miss this so much, it was amazing
It's a 9 out of 10 fragrance for me the mint note is one of the best you actually get straight up mint like peppermint and spearmint unlike other fragrances that have mint listed as a note but yet have no mint smell. What's really annoying is how Hugo boss iced is listed as a similar fragrance when it doesn't smell like code sport whatsoever not even in the same category they both have mint yes but Hugo iced smells more like frozen lemons but code sport smells like mint and ginger and you can actually smell every Single note listed amazing fragrance and I have no idea why all these new fragrance designers don't make similar fragrance dna like sport code and give it there own twist because nothing else smells like sport code all these new stupid elixir fragrances smell garbage
Everything acua di gio SHOULD have been
UHH - Ok? That's it? I mean... its ok. The problem is it smells IDENTICAL to the 2020 ADG Profondo edp - just without the same richness and edp level of quality. Yet another fake news 'holy grail' discontinued Designer fragrance that doesn't match the hype. You know if a fragrance is REMADE and made BETTER - its no longer a grail collectible right? Armani copying Armani - I mean I GUESS - better than you copying Dior Aqua Fahrenheit and making it ADG Elixir. If your base actually were collectors in perfumery - I feel you all wouldn't be able to get away with this copycat and slap a new label on it nonsense. *sniffs again* YEAH definitely Profondo - No wonder ADG Profondo smells nothing like ADG - LOL they straight up low key copied a discontinued fragrance. Ironically this also smells nothing like 2004 Armani Code EDT - youd think a flanker 6 years later would be similar to it. Come on Armani! You are giving me a migraine.
Could be a standalone frag. The creator of this frag makes all the Louis Vuitton Fragrances! And it shows!!! This is the most perfect frag i have ever smelled.. hands down. The freshest mint orange smell on the planet.. the water note in this is absolutely perfect. Gives a vibe of a clean barrel of cold fresh water with tons of mandarin orange peels and mint .. 99999999/10
Greatest frag of all time
When Armani Code Sport hit the shelves in 2011, I guess it offered a rather bold and unique perfume profile for that period. Today, I still have a bottle from that year in my hand, and it has successfully withstood the test of time and reminded me once again of how special a composition it is. It has aged magnificently. The freshness that greets you when you first spray the perfume is directly reminiscent of a mojito cocktail: Mint, lemon and a light citrus breeze... However, the mint here, beyond creating a simple freshness, carries a natural liveliness that is far from artificial, reminiscent of freshly crushed mint leaves. The transitions between the notes are extremely smooth and harmonious; this takes the perfume beyond an ordinary summer scent. I don't know if it has matured after 14 years, it has a very nice sweetness. The most striking aspect of Armani Code Sport is its unique scent, which is not easily encountered at that time and even today. When compared to other fresh summer perfumes that can be included in its category, it is immediately noticeable how different it stands on a line. It is neither too sweet nor too aromatic; It has a completely balanced, original character. For this reason, the cessation of production of this perfume can be considered a serious loss for the perfume world. The fact that fashion houses act according to short-term trends unfortunately prevents such timeless scents from becoming permanent. However, Code Sport exhibits a much more refined and original stance than many modern summer scents today. It is almost a pioneer and harbinger of the summer collections that Jacques Cavallier, the creator of the perfume, later prepared for Louis Vuitton. The elegance, freshness and luxurious details felt in the DNA of Code Sport appear before us in a more refined form in the Les Colognes series that came later. However, this perfume has a much bolder and more masculine energy than the Louis Vuitton series. If you have a bottle of this rare piece in your hand, you are not only holding a perfume, but also a turning point. It is a perfect example to see both Jacques Cavallier's design evolution and to feel the quality summer perfume concept that is about to disappear.
If you dont want to pay the high ebay prices, check out Emper Genious Code Sport. I have owned and loved the Armani, and the alternative is a dead ringer. Might even be longer lasting as well. Bitter citrus, bracing mint and woody vetiver, same with the Emper clone. Enjoy.
If anyones looking for a near perfect clone lamas secret passage is spot on to me. I have the OG bottle next to it to compare. Got it on ebay for less than $30 with shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/186796190459?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=y6oFjXDdSTm&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=q58p83x9tak&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
This is one of my favorites in my collection. Nice and spicy, unique summer scent. 👌🏾
This fragrance initially wouldn't be a mass pleasing fragrance and I think it's because of the ginger but its a fresh spicy fragrance with citruses and it stays like that until the spiciness fades away, as you give it a smell or two tho you fall more in love with it, 8/10 it's extremely refreshing, it shares a little with the OG aqua di gio.
Selling 75ml bottle of this. Located in Croatia
@Serg24 Thank you! Now while Lamis Secret Passage is not the perfect clone; it does remind me somehow with the great Armani Sport Code.
Really happy that I just got back up 3 bottles of 75ML and 2 bottles of 125ML...
Minty, Metallic, Synthetic. A freshie along the lines of Versace Man Eau Fraiche, but without the backbone of the Pepper & Woods and, instead has the Watery Vetiver note that delivers an untethered metallic drydown which kinda just floats around you aimlessly.
Good fragrance but a bit expensive. Moderate and sillage is very good. Good for young people. 8/10
Hey guys, I believe Lattafa - Al Noble Safeer is pretty similar to this one, for a great price. Why I'm not 100% sure is that I only have a dupe of Code Sport (Bi-Es Fabio Verso - Aviani Sportivo Line), but Safeer immediately reminded me of that, only in much higher quality and with great performance. Unfortunately the Al Noble line is not listed here on Fragrantica to add to the "Reminds me of" section, hence this post. Some Youtube reviewer of Safeer confirmed some of the notes also listed here for Code Sport. So, check Safeer out as a Code Sport replacement out and let me know, if you agree!
My go to cologne for years. Love the way it uplifts my day. Been on the search for a dupe of armani sport. Finally found something that smells alike it's called lamis Creation secret passage spirit. Thank me later.
It’s great, but not phenomenal. Armani is a house I struggle to appreciate, as I feel like their quality is rarely high enough to justify the immense amount of hype that their fragrances receive. Once the discontinuation train hits, fragrances that were remembered as ‘mediocre’ in their day are suddenly ‘masterpieces.’ Code Sport is one such fragrance. Shockingly, I really, really like it. It’s very well blended and offers a well curated unique scent profile that I personally haven’t seen matched. To me, this is a young man’s gym fragrance, making the name apt. It’s inoffensive, clean and screams youthful confidence. The mint is a terrific touch. It CAN come across as a little ‘toothpaste-y,’ but it combines very well with the ginger. Code Sport is quality, and it’s a shame that it’s discontinued. I don’t think it’s a masterpiece, nor is it a magic elixr that’s going to get you girls and win you the next Presidential election. This is, however, going to be a compliment puller in the right environments. This is a t-shirt and jeans fragrance, no doubt about it. Wear it in moderate heat (anywhere from mid 20s through to the high 30s) and you’ll be doing well for yourself. I feel like it’ll be a little too dense for high heat (40+) environments courtesy of the ginger and the mint, but if you’re confident enough, anything works. A terrific fragrance, gone too soon.
I really hope they bring this gem back! Over the years of collecting fragrances this is by far the best I’ve found so sad it’s gone!
I need to find a better replacement then Hugo boss. I wear this all summer I have 1 oz left of this and the new one surprised the older one has lower rating. I get the most compliments with this and I love smelling this on my self win win. I wouldn’t say it smells the same but Issey sport gives me the same vibe for some reason
Ok, I just got Hugo Boss Iced and from what I can tell the opening is almost exactly like Armani Code Sport. Maybe not as bright as Code Sport, but the scent is very familiar. That's the thing though, the opening of Code Sport isn't why I love it, it's that amazing dry down that last for hours is what is so captivating to me about Code Sport. I do have Under the Lemon Tree by Maison Margiela which I think has a dry down close to Code Sport. I'll report back later and update on how the dry down of Hugo Boss Iced as well as Under the Lemon Tree compare with Armani Code Sport. Update: Not even 2 hours later and the Hugo Iced is pretty much gone from my arm, and I sprayed it 4-5 times...It's hanging around on the shirt a bit, but all in all it's pretty much gone. Dammit! Under the Lemon Tree has dried down to its lemony-woodsy dry down that smells about 70% of Armani Code Sport. Man, you just can't replicate the real deal, but at least these two help pacify that need to smell Code Sport. The search continues for my new bottle.
Absolutely amazing dry down and sillage. I get it, the opening is nothing to write home about, but man, that dry down is something else...
Ever so boring perfume. Smells like something suitable for a young teenager that only begins his journey into using something outside of a basic deodorant as his ‘statement’ smell. Very citrusy and honestly when I saw water being listed as one of the notes I chuckled but honestly it is a water based perfume - as it smells like nothing actually interesting.
This is my signature. I had two bottles and down to half of one because I didn’t know discontinued. Is it me or is issey sport similar ? Also huge iced has similar minty feel. May mix the two to save the code
I am OBSESSED with this atm. When I first bought this sample I wasn't initially "wow'd" by it. Well, months later I have just recently come back to it and try again and OMG this is truly amazing!! Isn't it strange how when you first initially try a fragrance you think one thing, usually not blown away, but you come back to it months later and it has transformed into this incredible masterpiece? That's how I feel about Code Sport right now.
Overhyped and now way to overpriced. I would suggest armani code athlete. Can find for a better price and is way better IMO.
Most compliments I've ever gotten from a fragrance. My all time favorite. I went through 3 bottles in the short time it was around. I miss it.
I'm surprised there's no mention of Prada Luna Rossa. They were released around a year apart.. It began with 2008's Dior Homme Sport and Versace Pour Homme, followed by Code Sport and Luna Rossa,,
