Gucci Guilty Absolute

This fragrance is very beautiful. Unfortunately it’s discontinued , it’s not on Gucci website anymore . Still there’s a stock in the market but it’s a matter of time before it’s all sold out. I actually heard back in the days that there was a limited leather note which was created and used in this fragrance and sooner or later Gucci won’t have it anymore because it was costly. And back then I was waiting when they would stop producing it and it just happened.

This has a special place in my heart cuz it was my grandpa's signature even if I don't like it that much

I get: Terpenic gas-like petrol Dusty smoky dry sawed wood Creamy sweet dusty wood Woodshop grease Herbal oregano character with balsamic pine qualities Dark smokey somewhat sour & acrid leather Very complex layered fragrance. Strong projection for 2 hours

Leather, mature and masculine scent

On my skin the opening smells like Petrol then transitions to something Animalic and then Dries down to a Incense like smell. Absolutely amazing. Completely masculine with 0 sweetness.

Leather and earth. Too raw for me, I'm looking for something a bit smoother and more seductive to round out the collection for the A/W.

I'm impressed and glad that Gucci still makes this, because this is the polar opposite of a mass-appealing fragrance. I can't imagine this being a big seller. It's one of the darkest, most masculine fragrances I've ever smelled. This is an oily leather and aromatic bomb. It has macho-level patchouli. Plus it projects well and lasts over 12 hours on my skin.

One of my favorite designers. The people saying the newer batches are somehow lacking in performance need to chill out on the “beast mode panty droppers” because you’re going nose blind and need to let your nose reset. I easily get all day performance from a single spray. This will be detectable on skin for over 18-24 hours. Classic aromatic opening of herbs and masculine green spicey notes before quickly showcasing a raw, leathery castoreum accord. The overall feel of this fragrance reminds me of the oily, barnyard aroma of certain Nagaland Oud oils. The leather accord is raw, greasy but never overbearing. As it dries down to its heart a classically masculine patchouli driven cedar accord takes shape. There’s also hint of evernyl/oakmoss which compliments the gentle sweetness in the far drydown. Overall very pleasant journey from start to finish.

I first got a decant of this and it was probably the strongest fragrance I'd ever tried. The sillage was beast mode, it would last for around 10-12 hours and it followed you around like a cloud of industrial leather - you definitely need to be in the mood to wear it, as not everyone is going to love it. Unfortunately it seems like it's been reformulated, because I committed to a 90ml bottle and it's totally different. The scent is the same, but it fades to a subtle skin scent after only 30 minutes - nothing like the pungent tester I first tried.

Rather a pity this was discontinued. It's no masterpiece? It's too simple for that, and like all too many modern things reads more like a base than a completed perfume. But as a simple smell it's quite pleasant, a sort of herbal leather. I get the "band aid" thing? But while I don't like the sugared band aids of say, BR 540, here with very little sweetness I kind of like it (and after all - band aids don't really smell unpleasant, do they?) Better on a woman than on a man I'd say...on a man the gasoline bandaid simplicity of it might read as trying too hard, for all the light and airy nature of this perfume when it comes down to it - it is very transparent, but lasts longer than you might think given that transparancy

Gucci Guilty Absolute - "What if a leather jacket can bench press 400lbs?". This fragrance is for a specific crowd. It's for the men out there that repair machinery just by looking at it. After initially spraying it on yourself, your Spotify algorithm replaces all your playlists with sounds of a chain factory, distant thunder and men named Frank discussing carburetors. After some time, nearby trees start adressing you as "Sir" out of respect and your car starts by itself in the morning. Top notes: - Leather Heart notes: - More leather Base notes: - Leather with questionable life choices Gucci Guilty Absolute - starting a fist fight in the local bar with a random dude who argues that the 24 valve Cummins diesel engine is the better choice (it's not). After that you both shake hands, but none of you acknowledge it.

I love my leather jackets, but I don't like leather in my perfumes. It smells too sweet and creamy!

It’s evocative of a man working with his hands, living in a cabin. A leather, cypress, vetiver dream. Powerful, but with definite structure. Is that you, Ted Kaczynski?

Any male reviewer on here that refers to this scent as "sexy" is delusional and likely a member of the Ain't Gettin Any club (see below). Medicinal and maybe motor oil instead of gasoline soaked leather and wood shavings with patchouli. That's this. It is not sexy.

It takes a very specific man to wear this. Not for everybody. That’s all I have to say about this one.

Leather soaked in gasoline. A biker who spent the whole day tinkering with his Harley’s engine, then threw on his leather biker gear and went for a ride. This isn’t mainstream, and that’s a good thing. But it’s still Gucci—I can smell that signature Gucci base note. For me, it’s mainly leather. The opening is great—medicinal, a bit herbal—and you can already smell the leather, though it’s not dominant yet. After about 5 minutes, the top notes fade, and the scent settles into that leathery, gasoline-like, slightly animalic note. And that’s pretty much how it goes until the end. A bit of a letdown here—based on the description, I expected more vetiver and patchouli, but they’re barely “noticeable.” The sillage is average, which makes this a pretty wearable scent. It would be quite overpowering, but since it stays close to the skin, it doesn’t bother those around you as much. It certainly won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, and it’s more the type of scent that pleases the wearer than those around him. Definitely better suited for outdoors than the office. It doesn’t really fit there anyway. It belongs in a workshop for a real man who works with his hands. There, it’ll be right at home. As for me, definitely a thumbs-up for this unusual creation that stands in stark contrast to today’s mainstream. I’m thinking about stocking up on a good 150 ml extra bottle before it disappears.

I agree with all the good things that have been said, I disagree with all the bad things. Only commenting to also add a longevity disappointment with the made in Spain batches.

A sexy, powerful, stereotypically masculine scent. Dark coniferous wood and strong leather. To me, it smells like new leather gloves in a sawmill. I’m disappointed by the performance, though. It’s mostly gone in 3 hrs.

The scent profile is simply majestic, and very alluring as it is strong on gasoline-like leather accord 🔥 that's very bold, woody and unapologetic. Alberto Morillas definitely composed a masterpiece and then reused the notes of GGA in Dark Lord by Killian 😎 However the Made In Spain batches are way too weak! 8.5/10 Really quite a lovely leather fragrance. I think the patchouli shines through in a way which compliments the leather and makes this quite a luxurious fragrance. Could definitely picture and older man, 40s plus, rocking this along with a dark suit or cashmere jumper, wielding a comically large cigar, and surrounded by some hired blondes .

This Is Just too inky and screechy, I hate It so much . Every time I sniff this my throat literally closes up because of how strong and terrible this Is. There's no counterbalancing of the harsh notes whatsoever There's this one dude that uses this in my Gym all year around, why?? People are Crazy sometimes

In my mind this is what a 1900's drugstore/barbershop would smell like - old leather chair, wood, herbal ointments. Very mature and definitely not a mass pleasing scent. You wear this because you enjoy the smell and you want to be different. Not because you want compliments from people who like generic stuff.

I love how dry, bitter and medicinal this is. Such a fantastic take on leather. Incredibly distinctive and full of personality. The opening could deceive you into thinking that this is going to be quite brash and confrontational, but give it a couple of minutes and let it come to you rather then smelling it up close. In the air this actually feels quite smooth and has a really beautiful subtle sweetness that makes it surprisingly suave in dark, saturnine way. Still, Guilty Absolute isn’t going to be a perfume for the average person, if you lack confidence then it’s going to wear you, but if you’re the right person for it then it’s a godsend.

Niche woody fragrance . Luxury oud & leather . Smells like Tom ford luxury line .

Doesn’t last long on my skin maybe around 6-7 hours and an hour plus of protection. I really like the scent thought. Manly not a crowd pleaser. 8/10 for me.

Leather, woods, some herbs, gasoline, medicinal. The medicated bandage effect is only there on paper and completely goes away on skin. I had 3 different women smell this on paper and they all hated it, noting the bandage smell. On skin they loved it and couldn't tell it was the same scent. But there is SOMETHING medicinal about it, something like mixing iodine with bourbon to clean a wound. The overall psychological effect is gasoline and leather, and some kind of pleasant hyper masculine chemical mixture. Longevity isn't great, maybe 4-5 hours until it's a barely discernible skin scent. Overall a great scent, and good value.
