Katy Perry's Mad Potion

I do like very much this perfume, but for me this perfume smells a lot like Play-Doh That’s the most I can say

I have a very hard time smelling this, it's like I get a whiff of the first few seconds of sweetness and then nothing. Like, I have to really overspray and press my nose against my skin to get a note or two, and it's mostly just a flat kind of faint sweetness and something sour even. It reminds me of hairspray. Disappointing.

I loved it at first sniff. Super addictive. But it turn into something super sweet and not like but exactly like baby powder. I need to try it out more.

Smells cute, but only for a few seconds. Weakest 'perfume' ever, and I'm not even exaggerating.

Won this on whatnot app heard it was discontinued but I love All things Vanilla. The fruit notes made me curious. When the perfume came I Open the package and smelled immediately. I said "this smells familiar" Fragrantica is a faithful website that never lets me down. And low and behold although I couldnt putt finger on it, I KNEW I owned something familiar VANILLA LACE from Victoria Secret. Totally agree.

This is one of my all time favorite women's perfumes, theres something nostalgic about it. Like an innocent crush on the girl next door. I usually hate vanilla scented perfume, but this one was nice. Unfortunately its an old perfume, most smell like alcohol now. It lasts only a few seconds

On the first spray it’s it a cloud of toxic chemicals. Gag inducing. After an hour there is a faint whisper of baby power. That’s it’s, that’s the whole fragrance.

Honest Review: Mad Potion by Katy Perry Initial Impression: At first spritz I get powdery, vanilla & the slightest musk notes. This almost smells like the moment when you open a bag of marshmallows. I’d say this is gourmand leaning. Dry Down: The dry down is soft and sits very close to the skin. On the dry down I can only smell sweet powdery notes. Application: I apply a few spritzes to my pulse points and that lasts me at least 3 hours. However, I can still smell Mad Potion on my jacket a day later, maybe nose blind? Hmm. I envision women of any age wearing this scent, it’s very soft just keep that in mind. Hope this helps! ❤️

Cute and pretty vanilla leaning perfume in a kooky bottle. Not a long lasting fragrance but I enjoy it while it's there. ✨

I literally cannot smell this. I believe I got an authentic bottle- from a reputable website.. I cannot pick up one note. It’s straight water.

I got this for £10 out of Semichem. It is exactly the vanilla I was looking for. I do not think the advertised notes are right but it is a sweet powdery vanilla. Very pretty on it's own, but probably better as a base to lair with other fragrances. I do wish it lasted longer but considering the low price I can just respray all day.

Smells like glue and doesn't absorb into your skin, literally is just purple water that drips off your wrists

the actual smell is so nice so it's super disappointing that this is literal water. i can barely smell it even when i just spray it on!! which is so annoying since mad love lasts a decent amount of time on me :( it's seriously sooo weak, weaker than any of my body sprays

This perfume is appalling. The worst I’ve ever had. It doesn’t smell bad. It smells of nothing! I feel like I’ve wasted my money buying a bottle of fresh air. There is nothing to this so I’ve either got a faulty bottle or it genuinely smells of zero! If you like a perfume that smells then I wouldn’t recommend. If you like a perfume that has ZERO scent to it, then this scent is for you.

I prefer this scent over mad love, this one is warm,cozy and sensual. I like it, I am just sad that the scent is not that strong and it doesn't last that long...if it did, then I would love it.

If you love this but hate the performance as much as I do, go get Clinique cocoa and cashmere. It’s more expensive but lasts way longer and is even a bit sweeter/denser

No silage n no longevity, can't get any other notes just smells like watered down vanilla, even when sprayed on clothes I get nothing 😞🤷♀️

Sweet and powdery scent. Would be one of my favorites if it wasn't for the poor sillage and longevity

i used to be obsessed with this scent when i was 13 lol smells just like cotton candy, very sweet and pretty but juvenile and the longevity is very poor.

My grandmother got me this for Christmas in 2022 I think. I love it. I know it’s a little boring for some but I loveeeee. However it dose not stay for long and will have to re-apply quite often but other than that I get SO many compliments and my friends always ask to use it.

I got this one year as a Christmas present but had to give away. I saw the notes and was so excited to try it but sadly for 'me' the notes of amber and musk comes out too strong to take in any other notes of the apple, florals and vanilla.

I like the scent. But my review of it will sound negative if that's how one chooses to read it. To me, it smells like vanilla powder. Danish pancakes being cooked on the griddle. It's not a juicy or complex scent. The scent is just sweet and friendly. There's also a hint of vanilla ice cream or vanilla milkshake in this scent. One would have to search long and hard to find something exciting or more nuanced in this scent.

Sweet candy, creamy vanilla, musky with a bite of juicy apple. I enjoyed this but only wore it on certain days where I felt like smelling like fruity shampoo. Had to throw the bottle away when I got down to the last quarter, turned to pure alcohol.

Yes this is light, linear and somewhat short lived, but not overly so. I find that as the hours go by and as the fragrance mixes with your body heat, it kind of regenerates itself throughout the day but still stays close to you. I find myself getting little whiffs of it even after 8 hours. It almost gives off a "your smell but better" kind of vibe. Someone a few reviews down says that it smells like those cheap Easter chocolates (I'm thinking of those mini milk chocolate eggs wrapped in foil) and even though there's no chocolate in the notes, I definitely see why they get that ..I love it though! It's simply a quiet, sweet and safe fragrance for me and I've enjoyed this for years. I should probably mention that it's OK to overspray this (well you should, otherwise you wont get anything out of it lol). It wont make it stronger, but it'll help make it last longer.

The lasting power is non existent!!! So sad because the scent itself is incredible

This is literally just water vaguely scented with vanilla. Even if I bury my nose into my wrist after spraying there's virtually no scent. How this is EDP I don't know! Such a shame as it sounded perfect from the notes
