Hey guys, I just finished my 75ml EDP bottle. Wow. I have had this bottle sitting on my shelf for the last 9 years and it still smells strong and smells beautiful. Mind you, when I first bought this 9 years ago, it was BEAST MODE. It was insanely strong. Now it is toned down all these years later since opened, but still great performance about 6-7 hours and projecting an arms length. This perfume is a creamy gardenia & tuberose fragrance, and you have to love those flowers to love this. It is rounded out by musk and neroli. Very elegant and for the mature and classy lady. When I first bought it, I hated it. Now I do enjoy it quite a lot and I'm going to miss it. Versatile fragrance.

Hello to alll! As this fragrance has even more reviews than I expected, I'm assuming it has even more of a cult following of people that miss it than I had imagined. Anyway, I had meant to order one that I found for a great deal online and instead of ordering one, I ordered TEN. lol! So if anyone is interested.....below is the MERCARI AND EBAY links to my listings for my 8 left, brand new sealed in the box, 50ML/1.7oz bottles if you're interested in purchasing a bottle (or multiple) from me which will ship from my house in NJ on the east coast of the US. Just thought I'd share! =) For any of you, send me a direct message on here, or on either platform and I'll even take off $10 just for you guys. https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m49246951750/ https://www.ebay.com/itm/357834683045

Cream, tuberose, and pure elegance. This fragrance is a quiet knockout — the kind that slips on like silk and then stays in your memory long after it leaves the room. Truth or Dare opens with this beautifully creamy floral aura that honestly reminds me of high-end French bath soaps. The kind made in tiny ateliers, wrapped in thick paper, and meant to be used on special mornings only. It feels luxurious without trying, sweet without being sugary, and sensual without shouting. The creamy note running through it is my favorite part. I don’t know exactly which ingredient is doing the heavy lifting, but it gives the florals this soft, glowing body that turns the whole composition into Flowers and Cream in the best possible way. It’s romantic. It’s warm. It’s unbelievably pretty. I’d wear this to a wedding… and then straight into the honeymoon night after. It has that versatility: innocent when you want it to be, irresistible when you need it to be. My only heartbreak is that it’s discontinued — the resale prices are outrageous now, which feels like a crime against tuberose lovers everywhere. I’m excited to try the recommended dupe, Monotheme Venezia Tuberose. My hopes are high that it’ll capture even a little of that creamy magic. UPDATE: Update on Madonna – Truth or Dare: I picked up Tuberose by Monotheme Venezia, and it is EXACT SAME!! Truly the same scent with no noticeable difference. It’s hands-down the best dupe for Truth or Dare without the wild resale prices online. At only $12, you still get that creamy, beautiful tuberose we all love—without sacrificing quality.

After having my old bottle in storage for a full year now- I did a sample sniff today and wow! This stuff gets a lot stronger with age. It is hard to believe that this was a T.J. Maxx / Marshalls basic only like 10 years ago. $19.99 no less. This is the teeny-bopper sister to Fracas who chews sweet pink bubblegum all day long. This is a legitimate perfume and proves that you don't have to be so serious all the time. PRO TIP: If you can find the SHOWER GEL for cheap- dab it on and use it as a "semi-solid" perfume-- it's pretty strong! Varensia White by Ulric Varens is the "Dollar Tree Truth or Dare" (and I'm almost going to repurchase one as I have not smelled it in years. Maybe it got better with age- now that Truth or Dare is "history" like Madonna's old face). Thank me later and not all at once.

Not your usual celebrity fragrance. I bought mine untested many years ago (plus a backup) when it was being discontinued. Sadly, on me it's very green. Reminds me exactly of the tropical greenhouse at Kew Gardens - steamy, leafy and dense. I can imagine that this is what a Mexican church hosting a funeral smells like. Compared to Fracas.... no contest, Fracas is far superior. If only T or D was sweeter..... Time to dig the opened bottle out of the dark, cool drawer where it's stored to see if many years of maceration has improved things. Alas, I don't think that my disappointment in T or D is the fault of the perfume but rather my very oily, acidic skin. It's well made and blended, I'll give it that......

Review of mine from months ago, which i forgot to share: I did it again. I obsessed over this. Then i finally bought a 1 oz on ebay. It doesnt live up to the hype. Save your dollars. Comparable fragrance, but far heavier on vanilla, is mancera velvet vanilla. Its stronger too and longer lasting than truth or dare. The similarities are almost uncanny, though. The vanilla in VV is the exact same vanilla as in this, but in a much bigger dose. (I am not big a fan of it, but am not a big fan of Truth or Dare, either ) Another comparable fragrance is ET Diamonds and Emeralds, and i do enjoy that one a bit more. Very affordable, and good enough lasting power and silage. Also similar to Versace Blonde but i prefer Blonde. It has less (or maybe 0) vanilla, and i always prefer less vanilla. Blonde is also discontinued but if youve got the cash, love fracas (tuberose) type scents, and want higher quality, go with Blonde (ebay). The flacon of Blonde is probably my fav flacon EVER. The perfume itself is very long lasting, but not beastly, in terms of projection. But my TOP favorite White Florals are: Central Park West (a total bomber!!) Creamy gardenia enhanced with black pepper. Sand & Sable (but only vintage bottles, which are far superior than the current formulation in terms of silage and strength, and still plentifully available on ebay). Its not for everyone but if you love beachy tropical white florals, its definitely worth looking into. Its actually my top favorite. Wild Python by Mancera, another white floral bomber, with a deep green patchouli edge… sensual… delicious. Not sweet, but creamy. I find Truth or Dare pretty mild in terms of projection. It does last long, but for me the projection isnt great. Its just OKAY for me. But this frag is absolutely not worth the prices its going for. I keep my little 1 oz bottle in my purse as “emergency perfume”, and it serves its purpose.

This is so nice I don't understand such negative reviews! It's a bright, very bubblegummy tuberose. It's sweet but flower nectar sweet, not sugary. Leaves a trail of just straight bubblegum, but up close you get more of the white flowers, especially jasmine. I love it, so fun and youthful! Maybe a little childish, even. Since a bunch of other bubblegum perfumes have been trending lately- how'd this one any different lol?

Анонім

I bought this one when it was just released, sprayed it once and never touched it again until yesterday. It is just as awful as it was, time did not improve it.

Анонім

The flowers at the beginning are really off putting for me. There is something animalistic and unpleasant in them. A strong NO, thank you.

Анонім

Plz,plz help me is it available at dubai airport or istanbul airport?? A wonderful feminine perfume💝 🖤💜💛💚💙💗

Анонім

Madonna, what have you done?? this is a weird concoction of creamy rose that is actually making me gag. Bubblegum notes too? Not my thing at all but go off I guess...

If you don’t want to pay the prices but love this perfume, read on. Truth or dare has been my signature scent since I was 18 I am now 38 and I always have to have a bottle in my collection (I’ve bought many bottles of it over the years) no matter the price I will buy it but it does hurt my heart a little forking out for it once every couple of years when it was only worth £20 originally, last week I came across an Italian brand called Monotheme and bought a few of their perfumes including one called Tuberose and let me tell you it’s EXACTLY the same and I paid £8.90 for it!!! I have never come across a perfume so close that I would give up paying those prices and replace my signature scent with another brand!! I bought a back up bottle and will probably buy a few more, im blown away by it. I did a comparison spray on each hand and my daughter couldn’t tell the difference, in fact she thought the tuberose was Madonna. If you love this scent then trust me I’m not exaggerating, and even if you don’t think it smells the same (which you will) then at least you haven’t broke the bank. Thank me later… Ps the cherry blossom one is also divine, it smells like cherry drops sweets on its own and paired with the tuberose scent its smells gorgeous.

This sh*t rocks my olfactory boat. Greetings, Perfumites. How do you do today? 'Tis time for a white floral wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am review? 'Tis. I won't claim to say that I've had the easiest times with tuberose and/or gardenia. Sometimes them white florals bast*rds stink me out and I'm down for the count for days. So strong, so sweet, so heady, so dated (at times). Or so I used to think. OR! Maybe *I* am getting...dated. *cocks head* Point being: I delight in this now. And for the very reasons I avoided it before. I love how floral it is. I love how sweet it is. I love how feminine it is. I love how strong and unashamedly in-your-face this is. This is Fracas, but...you know...discontinued. Which brings me to why I bought it. Going for a ridiculously good price for full 75ml bottle - what choice did I have, really? Naturally, when I run out of this, I will be required to purchase a bottle of Fracas to get my wild tuberose fix, and the cost is not something I am looking forward to. I don't think this perfume truly aligns with Madonna's image, i.e., it's wildly sweet and feminine, but I don't care. I like the perfume. The inspiration/image behind it is secondary. This isn't my absolute 100% - as I mentioned, I've struggled with painfully wild white florals, but...I'm coming 'round. Bottle is also somewhat heavy, yet easy to transport - and the protrusions on the edges? Soothing on these dated calluses of mine... Repurchase-worthy (good luck with that). *** Kitty rating: 8.5/10.

the vanilla and benzoin would leave you to believe this could be a cloyingly sweet and heavy scent… but it’s not. It’s still a bubble gum white floral.. It’s gorgeous. It lasts a really long time on the skin. This is still worth having in your collection even if you own the frags that are listed as smelling similar. . I believe this is better than Fracas. Recent reforms of Fracas is more of a linear tuberose and smells more similar to Gucci Bloom. It’s not like MK either as it lacks the metallic zing and incense that Kors has. This stands out among the others. People mention this being musky. I do not get musky vibes from this at all, and this isnt indolic (fecal) like a jasmine or some other florals might be (Lust, Alien) I do not get powder at all from this either which is why this one is so damn special. All I get is cream. This is pure gardenia/tuberose cream. It’s worth spending money on this. I might even go as far as saying this is the best gardenia to ever exist.

Анонім

Beautiful scent, surprisingly good for a designer fragrance! It’s a mix of white florals with a subtle hint of amber vanilla and gives a sense of bubble gum. I love white florals with a slight sweetness and this is so well blended it’s perfect 😍

Анонім

Delectable bubblegum-y tuberose. A little musky, a little powdery. It's nice. Beautiful sillage.

I don't have many perfumes in my collection that I've tried so hard to like over the years. But Truth or Dare is just not for me. So my bottle will sit there in my collection and maybe someday I'll sell it but I doubt it. I would rather hang on to the nostalgia and not spray it ever again than sell it. And as a tuberose lover, I'm ashamed that I don't love it as so many people do. In fact, it's a strong "hate" for me. IYKYK.

Madonna has not aged well as her farewell tour feels like a pair of saggy support hose. Her perfume on the other hand ; has aged very well- literally ! My bottle is pretty old (not as old as Madonna) and the heft is fabulous and so is the longevity and projection ! Glad I went with a back up bottle back in 2017 because the prices have gone nuts from the days of Marshalls & $19.99 ! Ironic ; you can get a bottle of Fracas for cheaper now!

Анонім

Sad i'm so sad. Today i have finished this beauty of a beast 😢. I have to say goodbye forever because i'm not willing to pay the absurd high prices they dare to ask for this perfume. It's good but not for 100 or more dollars.

Анонім

I’m a tuberose junkie. This was on my list for awhile and I finally grabbed a bottle for a not too terrible price. It’s excellent quality, rich and oily. I’d say out of all the tubes I’ve smelled, this is definitely most similar to fracas. It has a bit of Gucci Bloom/Terracotta to it as well. It isn’t quite so intensely sweet and powder sugary as Fracas but Truthor Dare ultimately is more of that sugary candy tuberose flower garden scent than a “solar” or beachy tuberose. Even at the inflated prices post discontinuation, Truth or Dare is worth it, as the richness of the oil and scent isn’t common these days. Not recommended for those who prefer light, sheer scents. This is about as “beast mode” as tuberose scents get. To me, that means I do need to spray a lot to get it to project, but once I do, it will last more than 24 hrs. It lasts several days on clothing. Overall very pretty and sweet. Blind buy, definitely a keeper!

Madonna’s Truth or Dare is a nectar of heavens poured into the bottle where saints rest their souls. Tuberose dipped into the tears of longing, tenderness, pain, hope and lust. It’s heavy and yet youthful , dreamy yet grounded. One of the most powerful Tuberose scents from the price category. But nothing’s indestructible, the perfume was discontinued in late 2016. Get it anytime you can.

I remember when it came out and I first tested it in a store, it was love at first smell. I also remember it was often on sale and very affordable for me - a student at that time, so I repurchased it several times, only to get even more addicted. Until one day, I saw one last bottle very, very reduced, like 50-60% off at DM and I asked why it was so reduced (if the package was defective, etc). They told me the perfume was to be discontinued and I just refused to believe it. I went looking everywhere for it, buying every single last bottle left. I just loved it so much. So classically feminine, so full and opulent, so smooth and nectary thick. I love powerful white floral bombs with tuberose, jasmine, or lily; I love perfumes that radiate divine feminine energy - mature, confident, but also sensual, gracious, and voluptuous. Truth or Dare was all of that, plus amazing sillage and longevity, and a great price. I want it back!

Анонім

This perfume has been a strange love for me. There is aspects I love and a note that is iffy on me (maybe spice from lily)? However I have received the MOST compliments from men with it. By far the most! I am not sure what it is about it that attracts. I have Fracas and it has a similar note but Truth or Dare has more layers to it. Too bad it is discontinued...it should be brought back!

This was one of my favorite perfumes ever. I can't believe it is discontinued. I never found anything like it again :(

Анонім

I love this perfume. It was neglected and put away in my collection but I recently started wearing it and it’s all I want to smell like. It’s super powerful. (I made the mistake of over spraying at work and my poor coworkers looked like fumigated roaches lmao ) To me, it’s a lovely white floral-gourmand fragrance. It’s a very interesting scent. It starts out very mature smelling with those white florals, and then it turns into vanillary-bubblegum scent. 10 yrs later and discontinued, as of 2023 it’s still smells pretty modern compared to other white florals that never integrated a touch of gourmand accords in their fragrances. It’s the sweetness that makes it feel youthful and up to date. With that being said I bought 2 more back up bottle before I never get the chance to get my hands on it again.

I've had this for many years, still in it's original box and given to me by an old fragrance buddy who no longer posts here. I thought I would hold on to it as a collector's item and maybe sell it at some point. Well today, I changed my mind and sprayed some on. It's as lovely as people are saying. I know she created it as almost a homage to Fracas, which I love, but this is more delicate IMO. The gardenia is more prominent than the tuberose, which is not the case with Fracas. I think Fracas has gardenia, but I need to double check. It's the one of only two celebrity fragrance I own. The other is Kate Walsh Billionaire Boyfriend, which I purchased in error, thinking it was her first one, Billionaire. It's not due to snobbery. I know there are many beloved celebrity fragrances, especially from Britney Spears, and I wouldn't say no to trying some of them. Same thing with Kim Kardashian, but given the prices some of them command, I'd prefer to own a niche fragrance by an independent perfumer than spend the money lining the pockets of an already obscenely wealthy celebrity. Truth or Dare really is a beautiful white floral fragrance. Madonna is well known for her need to be involved in most everything she puts her name on, from her music to perfume, and here she demonstrates good taste. If you think Fracas is top much to handle, especially in the beginning, then I can say that you may like this very much. EDIT - yes, Fracas has gardenia, but not nearly as much as Truth or Dare.

Lately I’ve been experiencing some burn out from all of the rose and Jasmine forward fragrances that have been dominating the market. I was feeling nostalgic for some white florals and managed to snag a bottle of truth or dare at an excellent price. It’s even better than I remembered. Rich, bold, velvety tuberose. A hint of bubblegum. Some sweetness from the vanilla. It’s a thick scent that’s warm, seductive and luxurious. Very long wearing and has excellent sillage. I also picked up Kim kardashian edp and it has a creamy tuberose that’s more green, and clean compared to truth or dare. I wouldn’t consider it a close alternative. Truth or dare is a denser nighttime fragrance whereas Kim kardashian can be worn any time of day. Gucci bloom is green and dry, missing that bubblegum and vanilla. Mancera Velvet vanilla is sweeter, smoother, a bit jammy. The tuberose is softer more bubble-gummy. And the vanilla is stronger. Velvet Vanilla is like truth or dare’s flirtatious younger sister, worth giving a try if you are searching for a similar scent.
