Aoud Vanille

I get a nice chocolatey vibe from this one ! I think it would be beautiful in the cooler seasons for sure.

Wow. This scent is just beautiful. But very unique at the same time. First of all, i do NOT reccomend this for women, in my opinion it’s fully masculine. In the first minutes, i smell cheap oud with medicine, it’s because of saffron. It reminds me something like plastic. But as it dries down, this cheap smell dissapear and vanilla becomes the most noticeable note. It’s super strong, the longevity is good, the sillage, projection is crazy. The vibe it gives, is a dark evening at fall in an old school theatre sitting in a chair in a leather coat. It’s definitely NOT a safe blind buy, but if you like dark, rich oud-vanilla scent, and you are looking for a cold weather fragrance this might be the one you are looking for.

If this preceded Babycat, Body Kouros was released 15 years before this.

I just wanted to address anyone saying this is trying to be babycat? I see similarities - it's just that this was out 6 years before babycat

Nose Note #980 The opening smells like sushi with wasabi, this lasts for a few minutes. Then it grows into something that wants to be Babycat, it's similarly different to its inspiration as Cedrat Boise is different to Aventus. Cedrat Boise is amazing in its own respect, and so is Aoud Vanille and Xplicit Vanilla. Xplicit Vanilla is basically the same thing, but drier, maybe sweeter and it doesn't have this wasabi vibes at all. Again I have to mention Fierte by French Avenue. If you take those three, each is different, all similar to Babycat, but imho Fierte is miles more seductive, elegant, just simply better and I guess closer to Babycat. Unisex leaning feminine, like anything with Babycat DNA. Strong performer like a usual Mancera. 7.4/10, I'm not sure which I like more, this or Xplicit Vanilla. This feels a bit more unisex than Xplicit

I bought a sample of this for myself but find it a bit manly for me. I gave my decant to my husband and oh my god it is heavenly on him. It’s so classy, unique, yet universally appealing. Give it a minute- the opening was unpleasant but the dry down is incredible.

For the most part, Mancera has some really good fragrances for the $. I don't find this to be anything to recommend. From the opening to the dry down, I get mostly burnt wood, with a bit of vanilla and spice underneath. Eventually the burnt wood eases up a bit, but I still find it to be the main player here. I was hoping for more vanilla. From what I have sampled at this point, my favorite vanilla would be Montale's Arabian Tonka.

I know perfume. Bought this on strength of sample. Nasty. Nasty nasty nasty. Will not go near this house again. Harsh, kitchen cleaner opening with no progression or dry down. The only perfume I wish I hadn’t bought. Truly awful . Looking at other reviews, I’m wondering about authenticity.

The opening is loaded with saffron and vanilla and cardoman and pepper. Very fizzy! Like a vanilla coke loaded with spices. Strange openig to say the least The fizz lasts about 5 minutes and the initial dry down is reminiscent of Red Tobacco Intense without the tobacco if that makes sense. Its a bit too sweet and sharp for me so I think some maceration will do some good. I get no floral notes at all despite being listed. As it dries, a nice blend of guaiac-oud-vanilla-saffron stays. I love red Tobacco Intense and so much of this reminds me of it. Strip RT Intense of the tobacco and incense and you have nearly Aoud Vanille. They have a lot of note overlap so that isn't surprising. It has good sillage and lasts a long time. I am usually not one for vanilla scents but the spices and guaiac wood make this enjoyable for me. It dries down to a smoked vanilla accord which I really liked. Aoud Vanille went from ok, to like, to love after about 6 hours of wear. For me, its a bit of a one trick fragrance. Definitely for cold and cooler weather. Great evening and special occasion fragrance. Not much past that, and that sits fine with me. Its straight forward smoky vanilla and while my review sounds like I find it a bit average, I actually LOVE this perfume. I enjoyed it from the drydown and Ive worn it a fee more times since my review and enjoy it even more. Maceration definitely helped smooth it out. I really have come to enjoy saffron as a note alot more because of Aoud Vanille. Its very Unisex. The spices do not make this a blind buy safe perfume. Not your typical vanilla fragrance. Its spiced up and not with tobacco. If you enjoy vanilla with a nice twist, Aoud Vanille is great.

My most complimented fragrance. Ever. The opening is somewhat harsh, then after a minute or two it settles into a complicated, smoky vanilla that lasts forever and just gets more delicious with every hour that passes. Each time I wear this someone exclaims how incredible I smell. Men in particular seem to love it on women. And in a sea of vanilla fragrances that are churned out relentlessly by the perfume industry, it is unique and high quality. Such a hidden gem.

Over time, I’ve parted with several fragrances from this brand, but this one has remained a staple in my collection. Its longevity is remarkable, the performance is reliable, and the gourmand character adds a richness that feels both luxurious and comforting. The calm smokiness, the restless vanilla with its delicate hinge of sweetness, and the warm embrace of the ambery leather all come together in a way that feels both comforting and quietly powerful. Each element seems to move around the other, never overwhelming, but always present, creating a scent that feels alive on the skin. What ultimately keeps it in rotation, though, is its unmistakable personality. Aoud Vanille doesn’t try to imitate anything, it simply stands on its own, and it does so exceptionally well.

I love this on me, and know I'm going to love it just as much - or more - on my guy. It's such a sexy, smoky, spicy vanilla. Beautiful and warm drydown. Leather note makes it easy for someone masculine to wear, while the floral note makes it just as easy for someone feminine to pull off. Longevity is easily 8 hours on my skin, and it's still on my clothing from yesterday. Chef's kiss, and it hasn't even had time to fully oxidize.

Soft and lightly sweet oud. Hard to dislike if you enjoy oud at all. Every so often, feels like I catch a whiff of chocolate, but it's this. So good. Projection isn't too aggressive but longevity, as with a lot of Manceras, is very good. Perfectly unisex. Could be a winter signature.

Coming from someone who doesn't care for Babycat, RM5 or Vanagloria, this is a masterpiece in Oud and Vanille. The type of Oud for which Mancera is infamous and famous for. Which I deeply truly love. Stinky, chemical, nuclear performance. Vanilla, is spicy. Dry, like some expensive Italian vanilla lotion from the legs of your thin and chic and niche glamorous escort transfered to your Ferrari full aniline leather and now the sweet reminiscence lingers there. This is lovely.

It’s really disgusting for some reason. I love oud, I have so many dark oud fragrances but this is pure shit. Yuck

To my nose this smells similar to Vertus Vanilla Oud. Smokey vanilla with a slight funk with some caramel sprinkled on top and some woods in the background. Not overtly sweet, but cozy by the fireplace with a hot coco type of scent. If you want a dark take on this profile try Montale's Dark Aoud.

Smells similar to vanille havane les indemodables. I actualy did side by side test on my wrists and they are really close VH is slightly better tho, smoother blend and a touch more natural. Manceras Aoud has never been the best. Because of the price difference i went with Mancera and dont regret it a bit. I spray inside the jacket on cold winter days. The warm smell helps me fight the cold.

Imagine a sweet and slightly smoked wood, like a campfire that has been put out and is still lightly smoking, and pair that with the deepest, smoothest, creamiest and most phenomenal vanilla ice cream/extract smelling vanilla. That’s aoud vanille and it’s phenomenal. 15 hours longevity, good sillage, good price, good value, what’s not to love here?

On the dry down, it smells exactly like Tom Ford Eau D’Ombre Leather. Typical to Mancera, though, upon a fresh spray, it smells pretty bad and chemically. I’d rather own the Tom Ford, but if you want the same smell for less money, Bob’s your uncle.

strong oud in the beginning very nice i wore it to school and my lover dislikes it but everyone said it smelt good after the dry down which is a nice smooth woody vanilla , like vanilla extract in a wooden bowl. 8.3/10

This is a citrusy vanilla on me with light chocolate. Reminds me of when you go to a nice spa and they serve you a mimosa with a fancy chocolate truffle in a gold wrapper along with excellent service.

Instant headache. Absolutely terrible. I’ve literally SCRUBBED my arms four times with soap and a loofah and the smell is still there. I guess I can at least give it points for lasting power. I hate it. Repulsive.

Finally got this yesterday. Been doubting to get it for a while. saw it on discount for 120 euro and got it. Vanilla and some spices. It's a nice scent not that loud but okay performance - in my memory it was stronger when i once tested it. I like it better scent wise than Mercedes benz club black and liquid brun (which is more loud but less refined) - but it reminds me of those scents in the dry down.

Got this one about a month ago, mainly because I was looking for something to replace Tobacco Vanille (used to be my "go-to" for years). I am extremely picky about vanilla fragrances, and I find it extremely hard to get a good quality one. My eyes opened up for this one due to my boyfriend who got "Amore Cafe", which he got obsessed over, and recommended me this one. It is absolutely something I would recommend if you like scents similar to TF's Tobacco Vanille, but this one isn't that spicy compared to Tobacco Vanille. Over all, I would not say that it is a better replacement, but I would absolutely recommend it!

So this has a typical pan thela smell (Indians would relate to this easily). Agarwood, spices and slight smoky smell is evident. Note that the vanilla isn’t dominating in this at all, it’s very subtle. It’s a very mature scent, imagine smelling a mature and rich man in blazer that you meet at a party, smells like middle eastern money. So to sum it up, it lasts on the clothes all day, but projects for around 6-7 hrs only.(I might be crazy but I like 8-10 hours projecting fragrances like Lattafa Eclaire) Scent profile 10/10 Longevity 9/10 Projection 9/10
