It grew on me. First when i bought it, i detected no honey, but a sweet oud with honey-like accord in the background. after few weeks it really showed its colors and true scent. Honey is now more detectable and oud feels more rounded. Enermous longevity and good sillage. Will pull off compliments.
Not sure why but this smells plummy to me, plums, woods and whisky as someone pointed out. Pretty harsh and loud initially, mellows out on the drydown. Has lots of character, as a gourmand sceptic, I don't find it overly sweet. Unisex to me. For now, I prefer Floris' take on honey oud but I admit the initial bang is very appealing
wow you gotta love honey for this, so damn sweet it's insane
Honey, cinnamon, and oud are notes that can easily go wrong—overdo it even slightly, and the scent becomes off-putting—so blending them correctly is a real feat. It might be too heavy for summer, but it is the perfect winter fragrance; the honey isn't cloyingly sweet but hits just the right note. As I mentioned, cinnamon and oud could easily ruin the composition, yet here they feel perfectly balanced—used in exactly the right measure. I rarely use this word, but it is an alluring scent; it makes you want to kiss the person wearing it affectionately on the cheek—not in an erotic way, but with genuine fondness.
Strong and sweet. The honey has some animalic quality, not like Naxos. Shaghaf Oud Azraq is a very good clone of this and smells very simular which most clones fail to do imo.
Simple fragrance but lovely. Dominant honey note which is good for cold days for a cozy vibe. The oud in it is not harsh and pretty soft. Only 3 sprays is enough for the whole day as it projects great.
I like this a lot, the honey is just on the edge to become too cloying but still perfumery. You can always smell the very well blended oud in the background. They go together very well. Also the staying power is intense. I would recommend this for fall and winter time. For this quality and everything I would say this is very valuable. For the people who also consider Shaghaf Oud Azraq, let me tell you that one is more masculine and even more potent. Interpret this as you will, but even for me Azraq is not really wearable anymore. Regardless of where you spray it, at which temperatures or occasion, it will fill each of your breath with oud and honey in the background. Personally between Honey Aoud and Shaghaf Oud Azraq I would say, pick Honey Aoud.
Great DNA here. Smells better than Zoologist Bee and is much more potent. Someone said I smell very sexy. Not strong enough for me but still great. 7/10 If you like honey you will probably love this one. Skip BEE from Zoologist, this one is better. The dry down is where this one really shines.
Majorly underrated. Smooth honey and the oud is not skanky, the amber vanilla and leather is perfectly balanced here and not to rough tray it leans to masculine or harsh meaning it’s perfectly unisex. Slightly feminine leaning but a man would totally pull this off and wine would enjoy smelling this on a man. The longevity is great and projection is insane
This is beautiful. Honest, in the beginning its kinda harsh but after a while it becomes an elegant, smooth more mature and not super sweet honey fragrance. Very mild Oud which i prefer, also note the super intense longevity. Highly recommend for winter!
I was sure I was going to dislike the honey and oud combination before I smelled it because it seemed odd and most "honey" fragrances smell bizarrely saccharine, but Honey Aoud works surprisingly well and create a realistic sweet honeyed woods.
Very heavy on the booze. This smells like whiskey with some perfume on top.
I have a 90% full 100ml bottle for anyone who's interested. US only. PM with offer if interested.
Very good fragrance
I had my eyes on this fragrance for a very long time. I gave my favorite floral fragrance to my mother for her birthday, but Honey Aoud has been a wonderful addition to my collection. I absolutely love the blend of floral notes, oud, and honey. It’s rich, warm, and beautifully balanced. The oud in this reminds me of Oud Satin Mood, which I also adore. I rate it ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5).
prominent honey, oud and amber in here; smells absolutely decadent the oud is really at the center here with the honey and amber just giving it a kinda glazed, smoothed, sweet oud effect that makes it a perfect signature for a dark, decadent style fragrance lover. beast mode — 15 hours longevity tested (minimum, no joke), moderate to loud projection. It’s a 10/10. A monster of a fragrance
funky and somewhat addictive
Galiba Montale'nin yeni üretimleri eskiler kadar kalıcı ve silajı yüksek değil. 2026 batch'ler eskileri gibi çok kalıcı ve yayılımı yüksek değil.
The honey is BIG, if not a bit synthetic. In fact, that’s more or less all you smell, a honey note so sharp it’s somewhat rubber smelling before it dries down. Having said that, it’s great to layer and blend with other fragrances, either to smooth out the honey or the sweeten up something overly spiced or woody or fresh. I got my mine for under 70 bucks and it was money well spent but it isn’t as wearable by itself as I hoped. All that said, for its utility as a viable layer option, it’s still 8/10 for me
I ordered a travel spray of this convinced I would love it based on some other buys from the same designer but alas no. I don't smell honey at all. If anyone wants a decent travel size version of this message me. We can swap perfumes or something.
I blind brought this cause the tester was going for a good price and it arrived. One spray later i get synthetic honey and oud ,dude this smell like some attar(fragrance oil) which you can get for a few dollars. This is not bad but this is not for me. Usually montale fragrances are high performance and don’t need maceration since they come in metal can and are already macerated This is strictly for the winters and this will get cloying and give you head ache in other weathers please go light on sprays. 3 plus sprays and you lost the aura . People will give you same reaction like they give people who have over sprayed ombre nomad. THIS IS NOT BLIND BUY SAFE. Performance and longevity is very good. If you want people to know you are the one wearing a fragrance then this is the one. Atomizer is ohk ohk this is not the pressurized one and sprays a little bad. Will be giving other montale frags a try . But for now i sold this.
For me this is a nice winter/autum scent, but its leaning heavily male...very long lasting with nice honey trail :)
Well this is good DNA, little synthetic, Lasts for an eternity, Does not project and over all is nice. That is it, best part is it can get you compliments as it is a mass pleaser.
Very deep spiced honey for the first couple of hours. Then becomes spiced amber. Very masculine leaning.
Pleasant, bright, simple, clean, slight artificial honey, artificial spice, ambery oriental basenotes, it dries down to nothing notable or worth remembering. Needs way more depth and basenotes. Theres nothing to hate here, but nothing to set it apart from the crowd considering its enormous price point. Its a soft, light honey oud with a touch of spice. Nice but dull. Banal. Its agreeable enough and doesn't do much wrong but its tediously linear and generic and doesn't develop as the hours go by. Performance and projection aren't exactly huge for me....contrary to what many others said, i'm surprised its so short lived and sillage especially is negligible at best. Its an incense stick type of scent for me...nice but flat and one dimensional. Possibly this might work better on females with softer skin and tastes, sweet scents don't last long on my skin type anyway. Honey Aoud is overwhelmingly mediocre....Its just way too much money for what it is. I don't get the hype for this one personally. Its a 5/10 or borderline 6/10 so far......BUT....i only had a sample for 5 weeks....maybe its got a future after a few more months in the cupboard, who knows? UPDATE 7 months on, gave this a wear twice in warm 29c temperatures this week. Its still weak in longevity and projection and its still linear flat and not very interesting. I ended up layering it and I think thats the only useage it will get for me, on its own its just boring. Still a 5/10, the epitome of mediocrity.
My first blind buy. :) This fragrance sits sweet and honey on my skin, I keep catching a whiff now and then during the day, and I am enjoying it. I do have another rose based scent on and they are mixing well together. It was inexpensive so I took the risk. I had smelt a few other Montales, that were pretty good, and this one is perfect for the cold winter day.
I don’t get honey from this, and that’s why I bought it. I get oud, cinnamon, amber, leather and patchouli. Way too heavy for me personally. This might be better on a man and only in the winter.
Dog hater, hes right! And whenever you attack the person and not the issue, you have thrown in the towel. Just a little friendly benevolent advice to the benevolent 1. They have time to macerate designer fragrances, clones are rushed so the need it more. But molecules will change as chemical reactions happen, and as the alcohol escapes, this is the catalyst for all this chemistry. Or at least thats what the gang of clone boyz told me.
Sigh. To the person below me, Maceration begins when it’s created not after the first spray. No fragrance is immune to maceration or maturing
after getting my nose on Tobacco Honey I was eager to re-experience this frag. Full disclosure this has been sitting on a dark shelf for approx. 3 years pretty much untouched & the scent hasn't altered any so it's immune to maturation. This creation is very much in line with Montale dna..its boisterous..present..with a unnatural but non-offensive enhanced honey richness..cinnamon & woodsy element. Heavy on the honey, heavy on the cinnamon. To me its a commercial version of Tobacco Honey created for a more universal appeal. With that in mind would i recommend blind buying..no, but if your a oriental woody fan like myself this could be a welcome addition. From my recollection the performance is solid but its been awhile so cant give accurate quantitative feedback. Easy win for me..as I perform my celebratory victory dance.
