Very primal and erotic fragrance. Will not be for everyone.
The best dark chocolate perfume. Spicy, dark, bitter, seductive, mysterious. I love it , one of my winter date night scents .
Honestly kind of expected this to smell a lot more peppery with the strong black pepper and chili notes in the beginning, but I actually smelled mostly sweetness. It's pretty sugary with a bold sort of back end of a dark chocolate with nuts inside of it. The chili reappears and disappears as notes appear and disappear, but it's not too consistent. I still do like this and I think I would wear it. It's really interesting and even if it's not that complex in terms of its smell (it goes from sweet to sweet and spicy to sweet and grassy and then sweet and spicy again) it's still a cool smell.
w gourmand if youre either above 45 look above 45
This is my favorite Orto Parisi fragrance! The chocolate is here ,but not gourmand style . This is dark oud ,woody ,chocolate fragrance. The performance is very good .
a bitter chocolate and pepper gourmand. Dark chocolatey, earthy, dusty and slightly spicy, but fairly simple. Boring scent, just not very unique or complex. 2/10
So unique. The chocolate and cacao note smells so raw, it's soil-like. Smells dirty, mischievous, perverted. This is definitely a witch fragrance: smells like a love spell gone wrong.
Gah. Wanted to like this so bad; on paper all of these notes are my favourite. On my skin it just smelt like synthetic, chemical-esque sandalwood and baking soda. Sort of like a lush bath bomb. No spice from the pepper, nor ginger note at all. I have a perfume oil with real ginger in it, which might help this perfume out, but for the price I paid for just a sample... Idk. Again, wish I like it, but there's none of the depth I was looking for. EDIT OF SHAME: If you let this sit in your room for almost two months, the screeching baking soda note goes away and you're left with a much more wonderful perfume! The ginger and pepper are really coming through now, as are the more animal notes at the bottom. Starting to like this I fear
Very challenging
Challenging. Warm, sweet, and spicy sometimes, dry, peppery, alcoholic others. Dynamic, changing, multi-faceted. This smells like money, like a vampire's night out.
for me it is a less smoky and easier to wear version of terroni, but it does not change the fact that you really need a strong character to wear it otherwise you get lost behind the fragrance, the duration and the sillage like everything from gualtieri is wonderful it accompanies you throughout the day, if you imagine a sweet chocolate you will be very disappointed because this is a 90% cocoa chocolate 10/10
malicious and evil. a subtle smirk with bad intentions. something unfair about this smell. i love it. powerful, pungent, present. lasts forever and projects well. i can imagine a villain wearing this. it reminds you of chocolate but i wouldnt call it sweet.
After many wears im finally admitting this thing is unwearable.. Yeah it is this powdery coco with hint of spice that turns into smooth dark chocolate with hint of vanilla in the dry down but thats only if you smell it upclose really In the air its dusty.. i wear it and all i get is whiffs of dust its definitely not a purchase i would repeat if i even find the right environment to wear it enough to run through the bottle
Smells of a tired worker at a chocolate factory who grazed his skin against a machine, and that small patch of skin got mixed with dark chocolate.
To me this smells like dry spicy chocolate with very little sweetness, almost a bit dusty or powdered chocolate
This scent is very chameleon-like, unique and very fond of changing completely. Strong, but refuses to let go of the skin and only creates an intense bubble around the body in the immediate vicinity. The potential for a signature fragrance is huge. Initial twenty minutes are green scent of hands after picking fresh summer peas and freeing them from the pods. Then, for less than two hours, it changes into a red, warm and slightly sweet scent of an unknown flower mixed with pepper and jasmine, before the cumin-like animalistic, strongly attractive, bodily indecent and succumbant finale arrives in all its glory. Unfortunately, we don't end there, it eventually breaks into an unpleasant non-erotic sweat at the end. Chocolate, cocoa, ginger or chili didn't appear at all for me.
fatty, bitter, nutty cacao bean. if you've ever tasted a roasted cacao bean fresh from the tree, the cacao note here is identical. nostalgic in a way; reminds me of a trip to costa rica a couple summers ago, where we explored a cacao farm and tasted the cacao bean in all its forms and preparations, including sruba, a sacred indigenous ceremonial drink. it consists of chili, cacao paste, and spices like ginger. this reminds me of that bitter, piquant drink. theres a deeply earthy, sullen quality to this that i absolutely adore
I feel like this is probably my favorite offering from this house. This fragrance is very masculine and refined. I get dark chocolate, salt, and lit pipe tobacco. I actually really enjoy this fragrance. It also gives me a gentleman at a bookstore who enjoys cigars and tweed vibes. I don’t feel this is challenging necessarily… just don’t think a teenager can get away with this one. This is definitely a great fragrance.
Boccanera, somehow, makes me picture a cactus.
Black mouth. Black lips. The black hole. It's Bocanera! Bocanerra will cast a spell on you, then seal it with a kiss. With a sweet addictive & seductive venom, she will relax all your senses, calm you down, just to take you over and pull you down, willingly, in a journey to the deep dark realm of shadows in the unseen-world. Are you ready ? It opens with powdery, spicy, slightly sweet chilly & black pepper along with hot ginger for the first three minutes, then some powdered coca rises to take away & balance this spicy hotness. With all the above , it still smells fresh. Each component here complements the other, especially the pepper and the cocoa. There is a musky woody chocolatey undertone here. It doesn’t feel like an opening, but rather, it feels like a heart & I mean it as a compliment. (It’s a very long opening with a long finish character) In the heart, you can sense slight bitterness rising with jasmine notes. It’s more musky & leathery, like a human’s skin powdered with cocoa, and I feel this is how it gets it’s animalic note. (It gets dirtier & warmer) This is very relaxing, attractive, seductive, sensual & 100% aphrodisiac! The heart is full of musk, leather & patchouli with hints of sweet vanilla as well as hints of oud here with animalic notes. (Piss De Cheval is used here as a horse urine accord to give animalic depth & raw honey aroma, similar to what was used in Sadonaso) It’s slightly sweet dark chocolate with creamy vanilla & spicy earthy notes, leathery animalic musk & waxy oud It’s dark & keeps getting darker & deeper along the journey, till it takes you over completely. It is one of my top 5 perfumes of all time Performance here is excellent & silage here is room filing. It lasted on my skin 12+ hours This review is based on 02153 batch year 2015 IG sir.fragrances
Starts with Oud and spicy peppery powdered chocolate, then the Oud fades away after 10 minutes or so, then u left with spicy peppery powdered chocolate for one hour and then it gets more woody as it dries down. Not a fan of the scent profile after the Oud fades away.
Beautiful, seductive, dark. Absolutely stunning just like any other Orto Parisi. On me, this starts with a creamy chocolate+vanilla combo, the spiciness is in the background. After 20-30 minutes, that beautiful chili comes forward but is not overbearing, just adds the perfect spicy touch. On the later drydown, the musks come into play which could very well be there at the start too, but they are more pronounced in the drydown. Very nice musk, immediately reminded me of Bergamask, it's probably the same musk. I smell some sandalwood in the background as well. All in all, gorgeous fragrance, but not a gourmand. Perfectly unisex.
Too dark for me, just like Terroni. But if you enjoy dark vibes in fragrances, Boccanera or Terroni would be a great addition.
My new favorite from Orto Parisi (so far). UPDATE: Nevermind, Viride exists. Boccanera was always the Orto Parisi that sounded the most interesting to me, and thankfully when I tried it I did like it a lot. Boccanera to me smells like a spicy and nutty dark chocolate/cocoa scent. This isn't really sweet so I wouldn't say it's a gourmand in the "traditional" sense, since gourmands tend to be quite sweet. This also isn't overly spicy, it's just a touch of something, maybe pepper, complementing the cocoa extremely well, in some ways I sort of imagine the xocoatl old Mesoamerican civilizations used to consume to smell like this. My biggest gripe is the presence of Orto Parisi's musk-amber base to a very noticeable degree, and I still find it off putting. The more I smell it the more I think it uses Amber Xtreme, it's sharp in a very similar way. If it wasn't for this I'd like Boccanera much more, but I still like it a lot as it is. Wearing this after wearing Stercus yesterday wasn't a good idea because I got hit hard by nose blindness. Strong-ish projection with a light sillage that turned to a skin scent extremely fast, hence why I'm saying I went nose blind. It's been about 4 hours and it doesn't smell that strongly on my skin either. (UPDATE: It did last 8 hours on skin).
chocolate and spices. dark, aromatic and lowk gourmand. smells liek a merken dark chocolate bar.
Smells like if chilli chocolate and warm freshly washed (but slept in) bedsheets had a baby. That weird one night stand with a curly haired guy who only eats at SoHo and has Aesop soap in his bathroom and lives off his parents’ money from back home but he’s “just finding himself”. Also he thinks everything he says is some sort of deep philosophical revelation. The sex was actually pretty good but his ego turned you off and you can’t help but notice that he seems to have learned a lot from whoring around himself. The spiciness fades into the chocolate, leaving a finish that smells like a human, slightly bitter, dark chocolate. There’s a note to this that prevents it from smelling completely like chocolate and blends it in to smell like a wearable fragrance. I don’t know what it is but it smells like a person whose skin just smells like dark chocolate. Like they dusted cocoa powder in their hair and you sniffed their head. Very wearable, a very interesting fragrance. Decidedly not a gourmand, even though you’d think it’s sweet. It is slightly, just not in a very gourmand way. The more I sit here and sniff this, the more I think I’d like to wear it. I purchased just to sniff every s often but I think I’m gonna wear it.
Like opening a long-forgotten box of chocolates — a soft cloud of dusty cocoa rising into the air. Beautiful, but I wish the musky, animalic edge were gentler
Maybe it's the spices but this smells like slightly sweet blood to me. No thank you!
i was scared this was gonna be too dark but it's not at all. it's dark chocolate and pepper. A+ can't wait to get a full bottle
*black milk by massive attack starts playing*
