Lavender + Vanilla. Sweet and clean. Le Male with the funky notes removed. Nothing sporty about it at all...but that doesn't matter. Inoffensive without being boring. Quality fragrance that can be worn anytime anyplace.
This is my favorite fragrance ... from a 40+ collection of designer and niche fragrances. It's ... love. It's passion .... It's a warm motherly hug ... PLEASE tell me someone understand ... If this is a sport frag, then I'm the queen of England... It's a godamn biblically accurate healing potion
For me this is in the okay section, i do get the vanilla/tonka bean but it does not grab me by the balls telling me: do you want me this bad in the bed tonight? instead it tells me: if you want a safe generic fragrance well here i am, i will be here to serve you at all times. And at the end of the day that's *okay* this is your typical generic frag that is perfect for formal events or date nights, there are MUCH better alternatives than that. Longevity and Sillage are moderate. Probably the safest fragrance if you have no idea what to wear on a wedding or similar formal event. But hey price ain't bad either, i think this is an all year rounder you can wear it everyday, also maybe good for gym too. Overall: 5/10. Unfortunate to say the least, i am a picky person when it comes to scents and this my friend is in the ok category, do not like it but do not hate it either, neutral zone caliber fragrance.
I with that anothers Luna Rossa fragrances have such performances. 8-10 hours on my skin. Smell: its takes the best from Le Male and the opening of vintage Armani code, but in a modern way. Nothing sporty, but elegant and beautiful. I have the old red and silver bottle, not the new red one.
First impressions last night: I was umboxing/reviewing (first impressions) 9 fragrances last night and by the time I reached this one I couldnt smell it. I could still smell the rest of them but not this one. Now testing it again, I smell it loud and clear. The Prada Luna Rossa Ocean DNA with more lavender and vanilla. It does kinda remind one slightly of Le Male but its far off. Honestly not a one for one. Kinda reminds me of Gucci Guilty Elixir de Parfum, but that one has a nuttyness from the strong almond note. I like this a lot.
i just revisited this lastnight. I love it more than the first time i wore it! it's been 12 hrs already and i can still smell it on my skin. 10/10 i love the prada luna rossa line (except carbon)
In my rotation right now, I've been receiving compliments everytime I wear it. Personally I enjoy this fragrance. It is a very moderate performing fragrance. Great for the gym or day to day wear while running errands.
@felixthreeone I'm not your buddy, guyyy
@felixthreeone I'm not your pal, buddy 🤣
I was a fan some time ago but then got sick of it. Never again.
@felixthreeone I own the the 2013 release with the silver plastic top. When I bought it, I checked the official note breakdown on Prada's website many years ago.... The note breakdown listed "iris hay accord." The note breakdown for the 2013 release and the new release are identical on Prada's website. I haven't smelled the all red bottle, so I can't attest to what it smells like. I am only relaying the official note breakdown that was on Prada's website, in the past, prior to the new release. You can say I am wrong all you want, but at the end of the day, I am going with the note breakdown from Prada's website, not fragantica and not you. Edit: batch code on my bottle is 22x21ch Production date 02/2023. After I bought it, around the end of 2023, I checked Prada's website to see what the notes are, and sure enough "Iris hay accord" was listed. Perhaps, later batches are different from the original batches from 2013. Maybe iris wasn't listed in the original formula. Either way, my bottle smells like Iris.
There are a few things that y'all need to know about Prada Luna Rossa: A. There are official notes missing from note pyramid on fragrantica. These are the official notes from Prada's website: Key Notes: Lavender Juniper Berries Ginger, Iris accord Hay, Tonka Beans, Vanilla, Heliotrope, Musk Do with that information what you will, but understand that at the heart of this fragrance is powdery iris. B. This fragrance is very fresh for like the first 1-3 hours before it ultimately transitions into the floral heart and the sweet, warm and cozy dry down. And finally, this fragrance is absolutely goated. It smells so good. Women love it, and in an office environments you are going to pull compliments.
My homie gifted this to me for my birthday. He says it’s his favorite and somewhat his signature scent and honestly, this was what started my Luna rossa collection. This is imo better than Le male EDT. It starts off with that dry down le male has but more lavender soapy feel and then it drys down to an amazing vanilla tonka combo. To me this can be a signature scent, office, date whatever you want it to be it’s pretty versatile. Maybe not in the hot hot heat due to the bit of sweetness. But less sprays you can pull it off. On my skin I would say a good 6-8 hours and clothes probably till the next day. It performs better in the cooler weather 75 degrees or less is perfect. 10/10 banger for me. And this is the silver and red bottle not the new all red one.
I would absolutely buy this as a gift to a friend that’s not really into perfumes that much, and just likes to smell good, it’s extremely safe. It’s aromatic, but with no spices, and with a mild but smooth vanilla+tonka base. I wouldn’t buy it for myself simply because it’s quite boring, and I find it unlikely this will be anyone’s favorite scent profile simply due to how smooth and without any sharp corners it is. 9/10, great value, good smell, but very boring.
Smells great, uplifting. wear it to work every day. For me it doesn’t project, which is fine because I have to get very close to people and I don’t want it to come off too strong. Just wish it lasted longer. It fades almost immediately in my experience.
Disgusting scent to repel women. Nothing else to this.
It’s long lasting but subtle. Can’t see why no-one else thinks this smells like the discontinued/reformulated Dior Homme. The Lavender and Vanilla give off IRIS vibes to my nose along with the Tonka. I get the Armani Code similarities and it does smell like one of the recent Le Male flankers but not so much the OG. All year round scent except really high heat. Doesn’t smell sporty, it’s warm and cosy and sexy. A date night scent, excellent if you want something that’s subtle but long lasting. Age 18+. More ‘male’. 8/10.
This is just okay to me. What I like about Luna Rossa Black is how deep and complex it is. This fragrance loses all of that—and yes, I'm aware that this is a sport flanker—but simple does not have to mean shallow, and light does not have to mean boring. The lavender and vanilla in this remind me of Versace Eros, and both smell like gas station hand soap at the end of the day.
The pre-2024 version (Silver/Red bottle) is basically a smoother, more mature version of JPG Le Male. I love it. It lasts surprisingly long on my skin, which is rare for fragrances. If you like Le Male you'll love this. That version of LR Sport has been reformulated/discontinued. The newer all red bottle smells a little different, but even that one is impossible to find in retail stores now, so the Sport line might have been discontinued by Prada, or they're planning to release a new version this year.
I almost blind bought this one many many times. Glad I didn't. I thought most stores stopped carrying it, but I stumbled into a Kohls Sephora that still had a tester out. I love the Luna Rossa EDT. This Sport one is too much. The addition of the vanilla just makes it too cloy - even in the winter. Soapy clean meets sweet vanilla. I don't like it. It is also redundant if you own the EDT. Very similar but the EDT is more wearable. Get the EDT.
The original smells great, takes that amouage reflection man/jpg le male dna and dipped in fabric softener. Good for all day use. The newer version smells very similar. However, it's a richer and sweeter iteration—maybe even a little denser—loses some of that fabric softener feel which I'm not sure I prefer. Either way the DNA is great and severely underrated.
This smells like 95% close to the original, just more soapy. Prefer the old smell more but still does the job. Fresh laundry man smell.
I love this. A great compliment pulling clean powdery scent. I don’t care what they’re saying at the store , the red silver bottle I have does not smell like the new all red bottle . The new bottle is more tobacco heavy with stronger hay. After wearing it for a day I returned it. The red silver is more vanilla lavender and smells a lot better. It’s a 8.8/10 ⭐️ Side note: The first time I smelled Prada Sport it did remind me of a fresher Prada black but with better performance and no coumarin. Black was my favorite Prada until I smelled Sport. This is their best scent imo.
Beautiful fragrance that’s extremely easy to wear. Bottle feels extremely cheap though to me ngl.
i don’t care what anyone tells you, this smells like a baby wipe. swear to god. 🤦🏽♂️
I was young working at Jamba Juice with a bunch of female coworkers when some guy walked in and had all the women telling him he smelled so good. They were literally all over him lol I quietly asked the guy what he had on and he said “Prada Luna Rossa Sport” I went to buy it the same day. I have like 20 sprays left in my bottle. Always gets compliments still. Soft powdery, juniper clean frag
Having smelled Black first, I now can't help but to see this as the "Day" version of Black. To me it smells like body powder with light sweetness and that's it. And as a huge fan of powdery scents I'd be damned if I didn't give this a solid Love.
Masterpiece. Inoffensive. The new reformulation is even more durable and lasts all day. Normally I have a hard time with reformulations of something I already like - But I have to give BOTH a strong 5/5!
Whenever I wore this to the office, it pulled compliments., with 3-4 sprays. Although it smells really good, it isn't my favorite, and I don't wear it much anymore- I find the tonka in the dry down to become slightly cloying to my nose after a few hours of wearing it.
Daniela Andriers work with Prada, specifically the Luna Rossa line, has been phenomenal. It’s my all time favorite line of fragrances and the only line I’ve felt compelled to collect all of. It’s 60% similar to both Le Male and Prada Black. Like a blend of the 2. But it’s different enough to justify for me. I’m a sucker for powdery, sweet vanilla/lavender bombs, and this does it to damn near perfection. Not quite as good as Prada Black but it’s real close.
