Prada Amber Pour Homme (Prada Man)

It reminds me of the smell of Pears soap, the original amber colored one.

Prada Amber Pour Homme is one of the cleanest iris-based fragrances I’ve ever smelled, with that polished, soapy iris style that feels like a true Prada signature. It’s exceptional, very easy to wear, and almost impossible to offend anyone with, which makes it perfect for offices and other indoor spaces. I’ve also compared my purple Spanish-made bottle with the French version, and the Spanish one is clearly longer-lasting on my skin.

I have the made in Spain version- purple juice. I am not familiar with the made in France version, so I can't tell you how they compare. My favorite fragrance ever. It is so versatile and easy to wear. The epitome of pleasant, and it is the only fragrance in my collection that is therapeutic. It isn't a head turning, compliment magnet 🧲 It isn't some seductive panty dropper It doesn't have beast mode projection, It is simply an easy going, pleasant and calming/relaxing fragrance, which makes for the best companion. I am at ease when I wear this- my zen fragrance. A wave of peace comes over the world whenever I sprtiz Prada Amber. Modern perfumery doesn't hold a candle to this masterpiece. The only fragrance in my collection that I will a mourn when the juice is empty.

Ah, Prada Soap Pour Homme. Soapy soap soap soap. With a hint of myrrh and (tiny) hint of spice. No citrus bright opening. No sweetness. A little dense. It is nothing like a typical department store 'Blue' fragrance. It is not boldly masculine, nor is it ambroxan heavy. Absolutely not a 'Sport' fragrance. Very pleasant. No one would ever smell this and be upset. It almost gives off the vibe of a signature scent of a 5 star hotel lobby or first class airport lounge. It's not Blue, it's definitely not Green. It's myrrh soap. I guess that is why it is called *Amber* Pour Homme. (2 sprays and one hour later and I smell like a soap factory). A very safe buy, even if it wont wow people. 8/10

This smells like a modern Chanel men's fragrance, specifically some amalgamation between Allure Homme's heart and (mostly) Bleu de Chanel EDP's base. In other words, this stuff is incredible. The profile is very airy, balanced, and intimate. My nose is immediately hit with fresh and cool aromatics (lavender), musk, white florals, and a light balsamic and ambery aroma that's smoothing this out like the best hotel lotion you've ever used. The saffron is very well done here, it's not raunchy or leathery, but soft, smooth, and slightly sweet. It's replacing what Prada usually does with iris in their fragrances, without smelling like makeup. It plays nicely with the vanilla and tonka to create this creamy and powdery texture that's so clean smelling and almost therapeutic. There is a slight tinge of leather and other earthy notes that linger in the background, and it's serving to add masculinity to this profile. They're most prominent in the late dry down. Longevity is great on my skin, I get roughly 6-8 hours depending on the day with arms length projection for the first hour, then it dials back. I think that's perfect for this since it's an intimate and hygienic scent - you don't necessarily want to smoke out the conference room, or else you'll be known as "fancy talcum man". 🏃💨 Overall, this is a very smooth, clean, powdery composition that most reminds me of Bleu de Chanel EDP's dry down. I'd say it's great for fall, spring, and moderate-temp summer use, day or night, as I think these notes may fall flat in the cold winter. Of course if you're in a climate controlled environment, it doesn't matter when you wear it. Prada Amber Pour Homme is very well done, and an instant "love" for me. 9.3/10 PS: This is incredible for layering too, specifically under sharper, more herbal and/or woody compositions to give them more body, depth, and personality. PAPH with Platinum Egoiste, Safran Secret, Bois Imperial, Masculin Pluriel, or Royal Oud (among many others) pair incredibly well.

It says lavander on the bottle, on the metallic tag, yet no lavender in the notes on fragrantica... make it make sense

For me this one is all the way up there with Burberry touch , green Irish tweed and 1million intense. Takes me back20 years with just a spray

The opening to this is beautiful but, on my skin, the dry down smells like Pampers. If baby fresh is what you're going for, this will do it.

One of my most recent purchases. So as expected I got the Made in France version. Some people said Made in Spain (PUIG) is way better, but I cannot tell as I am quite late to test this. Regardless, I find this fragrance as all season fragrance, day and night. Polite, clean, airy. For me I like it better than Prada L'Homme that I also own. It opens with quite bright fresh (but not citrus fresh) then goes to kinda sport style fragrance. Not blue fresh gum sport, but like Dior Homme Sport or Lalique Encre Noir Sport kinda "sport". So a hint of spice, which is not surprising when seeing the listed notes. But I can say I like this one also more than DHS and Lalique ENS die to airier feel. But the down side is performance. Maybe this is the main issue with Made in France version. On me it lasts only around 4 hours. I expect led more than that for a non citrus forward fragrance. So I need to respray to last for whole office day.

A heavy, clean scent, a mountain of fresh laundry, laundry detergents and fabric softeners with airy, resinous, medicinal-aromatic undertones

First fragrance I've bought where I know I can't wear it every day. For me, this is a frag you put on in a classy situation. A wedding. A fancy Sunday brunch. This ain't a hot dogs, shorts and flip flops kinda joint. It is a little metro. But I wouldn't want a honey dip wearing it around me. 7.8/10.

Smell like detergent

Much less of the horrible loud floral notes in L Homme, makes it wearable but still leans slightly unisex and floral. Love the soapiness.

This fragrance is like a time machine to me. I put this on and I'm 20 years younger! I managed to get my hands on a Spanish made batch, the one with the lilac juice and it is simply stunning. In my life top 5 and the best Prada I've got my nose on!

Greatest scent to wear to bed clean white sheets a cool room and you’ll sleep like a baby

One of the best scents ever created, so versatile and easy to wear, and inoffensive even if you over-spray, it's just a clean scent that gets complements, a solid 10/10 for me.

What more can you ask for in a fragrance? Clean, fresh, warm, powdery, slightly sweet masterpiece of a creation that's still relevant in 2026!! I have two 100ml bottles of this fragrance because it's just that good to me💜 and I couldn't imagine being without this fragrance in my collection!! 10/10.

Lavender bomb… I have a bottle from 2024. It’s the light purple juice and made in France. I bought it based on the notes and descriptions of the pre-reformulation made in Spain version, but decided to take a chance on the new stuff. Disappointing.. cool bottle though Edit: after spending a while with this I really enjoy it. Still a lavender bomb but I’m seeing the other facets of it more. And it just smells good

I got the Store and bough a made in France versión which is the one that I love!!! So here is the problem. Spain versión: descontinued 1st France versión: recently descontinued ( same DNA as the spain version) 3rd version: still made in France but it was fully reformulated with different notes and different DNA. Be care full buying online. The one that has lavender as starting note is the new full reformulación

I think this is the closest thing there is to a perfect fragrance. Elegant, sophisticated, debonair, and yet original. This is not the kind of fragrance that turns heads, this is the kind of fragrance that people respect when you wear this. You literally just smell clean and put together wearing this. I don’t know a single person that would ever find this offputting, and it is the opposite of a “try hard” fragrance. I have both made in Spain and made in France version and to my nose. The difference is extraordinarily negligible after the first few moments. After being in the game for a long time and collecting way too many fragrances, it’s fragrances like this that make me realize a man can literally just own one fragrance and be totally ok. This is that fragrance.

An ultimate universal fragrance. Inoffensive, Office-safe, any season, any situation, any place, type of fragrance. A grab and go crowd pleaser. I have the Made in Spain version which I have read is the better vintage bottle prior to reformulation of France. I cannot comment with the former but the made in Spain batch is delightful to wear and compliment getting. Clean, luxury soap with a kiss of ambery sweetness. This is a good one that I am very late in the game to get into. It is my scent of the day as I have some running around to go do. Get your nose on it... Pretty sure you will not be disappointed.

So Prada decided to change this fragance completely. In the formulation I got. You don’t get any of the notes listed in here and as well the plaque and the bottle has completely different notes. I tried this fragrance in a store and it was a masterpiece lots of neroli, cardamom. A beautiful fragrance. I decided to buy this fragrance online. And I got a fragrance with a completely different DNA. A clean lavender bomb with lots of pink pepper. Very similar to Mont Blanc individuelle. Which it’s on the fougere territory. It’s still a good fragance. But I feel scammed by Prada. Very misleading. If you cannot do even the same DNA just discontinue the fragance.

This is the best fragrance I've smelled. First time I've ever bought a backup bottle of anything. Clean, warm, semi-sweet, bar of soap. Cardamom, Neroli, Iris, Myrrh... Lasted about 7-8 hours. Great longevity on clothes. Smells great for casual and professional use. If I could have just one fragrance this would be it.

Really loving this fragrance. Can't believe it's going away, like many others. Gotta buy a backup or two. Layering with TF Eau de Ombre today which smells amazing. Highly recommend trying.

It's EXACTLY how I remember it from 2008 when I first found it, maybe not as strong but still really good quality for an EDT. The opening is amazing. Such a beautiful fresh sexy soapy smell. Nothing gets near this. The nicest mens scent Prada ever made. It's well worth the price.

I have an original Puig bottle from 2012 and a newer bottle from 2026 (with purple liquid, glad they fixed that!) Guess what? They are really similar, and I love them both (dare I say equally). The new formulation has the same scent DNA as the original: it's soapy, it's clean and it's effortlessly elegant; while it lacks a lot of the warm spiciness of the original, there's something in here, perhaps the vetiver, that gives it a lot of breathability, making it better suited for everyday use. After a while, they both dry down to a bloom of soft vanillic sweetness that insulates you in a comforting cloud for hours on end. A spectacular amber fragrance that is blended to perfection.

Wow. I think this is very nice, nothing groundbreaking, but dang you get compliments. First full wearing. Very impressed/puzzled with day one. Folks asking for decants? lol. I think because it's very different from what's popular today it may stand out.

If you are in the market for a laundry-like clean, gentleman upscale fragrance this is it. This scent profile makes me think if you had a designer or luxury laundry detergent it would smell like this. This is a crowd pleaser and very like-able by many. It’s not going to command attention but it will turn heads in a way that is not obnoxious. I would say this is a wear anytime and anywhere type of fragrance. Not many people know about this fragrance. When most people think of Prada, they think of the Lhomme line, which is too powdery for me. But this here, is different and better than Lhomme, in my opinion.
