This smells so nauseatingly bad. Corn chips mixed with cheap, cloying air freshener and sweaty gym socks. Just one wiff is nauseating. 1/10, very bad.
Perfume YouTuber Paulina&Perfumes suggests that Prada La Femme “ reminds me of “ Arabian fragrance Royal Musk by Al Haramain. Does anyone else notice the similarities?
Very clean and classy bergamot tuberose.
Ylang-ylang, frangipani, iris, and vanilla. This fragrance is perfect for a dinner with the in-laws or for the office. It’s non-offensive, smooth, and never overwhelming, you simply know you smell good. It feels like wearing a delicate, well-balanced floral bouquet. If you enjoy floral fragrances, this one is definitely worth trying. It’s especially suitable for environments where strong perfumes might not be appreciated, as it maintains a soft, clean, and elegant presence. It is very feminine, mature (without smelling dated), and effortlessly refined. There’s a noticeable clean, polished aura, combined with creamy floral nuances that give it a sophisticated touch. Floral fragrances are often associated with elegance and femininity, ranging from soft and airy to rich and enveloping Perfect for spring, but versatile enough to be worn year-round. This is the kind of scent that can easily become a signature fragrance, subtle, graceful, and consistently pleasant without trying too hard.
A beautiful yellow floral I find LaFemme to be a big yellow floral with a strong note of frangipani. After traveling to Hawaii and experiencing the gorgeous frangipani flowers I was determined to come home and find a fragrance that was strong frangipani. LaFemme was the first one I purchased that had large note of frangipani but it is crossed with yellow florals. I continued my search and found Van Cleef and Arpels California Reverie and just recently Jo Malone’s Frangipani Flower. All 3 have strong notes of frangipani- LaFemme with strong yellow florals, California Reverie with hints of orange and greens, much lighter, and Frangipani Flower the most true of the 3 with a linear profile. All are beautiful but I can say LaFemme is a beautifully complex, sophisticated, large fragrance on me. I bought it in November and found that such a strong floral still played well in the cold. I wear it all seasons but find that in summer it is too potent. This has become my signature and I have half-emptied the bottle in a few years. I have a huge collection but LaFemme is my go to when I want people to notice.
I primarily get tuberose on this one. Not my fav. It’s kind of weak too.
I’m a tuberose and white yellow florals lover (think Champs Elysees) with a particular love for frangipani (plumeria) and this is not it. Too synthetic. Where is the floral harmony promised in the notes? It is a winters day so to give this a fair chance I will test again in the late spring. But it’s not looking good.
A beautiful yellow floral, clean, luminous, and incredibly well put together. Yellow florals have a very distinct aura for me, and I always appreciate when a brand actually expands the category instead of repeating the same tired template. There’s a section in the composition that reminds me of Lancôme’s Poême, another one of my beloved yellow florals. Not a dupe (well, it couldn't be, it was launched in 1995), but a shared glow, a shared warmth. La Femme has a sunny, creamy brightness, but it balances it with just enough spice and freshness. The ratio is of spicy, floral, aromatic and creamy is perfect. This is absolutely signature-worthy. It has sophistication without stiffness, femininity without fluff, and elegance without the need for theatrics. Daytime - yes, evening gown - also yes. It morhps to fit your needs. The only thing it doesn’t fit is a person with no sophistication. Don’t wear this if you’re trashy, the perfume will be offended.
Gosh this was (I've run out sadly) my go-to fragrance. It felt like one that you could dress up or down. It wasn't too intrusive so could wear at work, but also out to dinner. It's also one that I think you could wear any time of the year. the floral is such that it is light enough for summer, but has enough depth for winter.
Sweet tuberose but not bubblegummy. It’s aromatic fresh. It’s pretty.
Don't get the hype for this. It is sweet but in a screechy way to my nose. I can see how people would appreciate this but I'm not a fan. Maybe yellow florals are just not for me
No surprise that this is all white/yellow forals. If you like sweet florals like frangipani and ylang, this might be your gal. It’s not mine, but I’m glad I tried it!
This smells like straight up bug spray..... Did I get a bad batch?
to be fair to this perfume i kind of knew i wouldn't like it, florals just aren't my thing etc, i was curious about the frangipani note and decided to give it a shot anyway. i read the reviews and thought it couldn't be that bad, and if it was, at least it should be an interesting sort of bad? now that i tried it i don't know if i would say if it was interesting but it was definitely something. i spray it on, it's all ylang-ylang. i'm fine with that, i don't mind ylang-ylang. i'm slightly disappointed i can't pick up on anything else, but it's alright. it did kind of have that "90s woman picking out jewelry" feel i read in the comment before me and that was nice honestly. didn't suit me but it was okay. around 4? hours or so after i sprayed it, it's projecting very lightly, and i wonder how it smells like from up close now. so i bring my arm close to my face. and it's ylang-ylang again. except it smells like it's a fruit and it's going bad. way sweeter with a stronger sour edge, i don't know if this makes sense to anyone but me but it smelled like it would be sticky if it had a texture...? it was kind of the same perfume, but it also wasn't. and as time passed it just kept getting worse. i showered 8 hours after i sprayed it on, it was still on my arm, even sweeter and sourer and stickier than before. maybe it's the beeswax and/or my body chemistry. either way it just kept getting worse. best way i can describe the smell is that it was like a bunch of fruits i couldn't recognize buried under a pile of ylang-ylang rotting on a pavement in the summer. the "progression" of the scent was just all the notes quickly decomposing on my skin. i'm so glad i'm so careful spraying perfume on myself because if i had done even one more there would be cartoon flies around me in spirit. i really only hate it so much because the opening was so deceptively pleasant. i don't want to go near this thing again. i would've worn this to the office if i had an office job. and then it would have me smelling like scary overripe fruits with ylang-ylang essential oil on top by lunchtime. and i would never recover from that mentally.
I like this scent, but I wouldn’t say I love it. It reminds me of a classy 90s woman putting on her pearl jewelry at her vanity. The scent starts off floral and quickly forms into a sweet & soft soapy scent, but not in a nauseating way. This can be worn anywhere in my opinion. Out to dinner, at the office, and I’ve even found myself wearing it at home after a shower. To be honest, I never found it to last terribly long on my skin or to have amazing sillage. I got this perfume as a gift and while I enjoyed it for the time I had it, it’s not something I would go out of my way to purchase on my own nor is it a scent that I think about often (probably because it’s not super unique).
If you need an inoffensive daily-wear floral scent for spring and summer - this could very well fit the bill. It’s warm and sweet, but not sugary, somewhat soapy. But definitely not anything unique or unheard of, doubt it’ll blow anyone’s mind. Carries more of a 90ies, early 00s vibe (I was rather surprised that it launched in 2016?) and reminds me of other perfumes of that time, for example Weekend for women by Burberry.
I sampled this at a perfume counter, and was really seduced by it. I had lusted after it for a long time when I finally bought it, and it did not disappoint — or so I thought.. At first it was like an infatuation from my late teens came back to life. It reminded me of Lancômes Poême, my signature scent from the age of 17-20. It overwhelmed me in pleasure and joy, like warm, golden cashmere (if that makes sense to anyone). A steady, sexy and confident fragrance — I could not get enough. However: I was not aware of the final dry-down, as I had happily gone to bed wearing my new Prada. On waking, my sheets, my nightdress and my merino jersey from the day before stank to high heaven of a vile, pungent animalistic scent — like rutting animals, dung, decomposing flowers or something similar. It was such a blow — from ecstatic to disgusted in just a few hours.. Thinking back, I wonder if I actually bought the right Femme. I seem to remember something pink, surely I must have gotten it wrong.
La Femme opens immediately in a sterilised hotel bathroom. Like a flush of pearlescent foam onto skin, luxury-tinged and high-gloss, but... unmistakably soapy. Like the kind that clings to hands after too much scrubbing. Expensive, yes, but clinical. Antiseptic. Then a summer spice enters. It's airy, it's warm, almost nostalgic, but coated in something camphorous and hollow. Like magnolia petals steeped in VapoRub. Waxy, cosmetic tuberose, cold cream and ghostly pearls. Polished and ladylike, but with too much hairspray. Somewhere, it tries to ground itself. Vanilla smooth and sweet, but not comforting. Soap-flavored macarons, god. Brittle, overworked, oddly plastic in feel. The vetiver (or for that matter, all vetivers) is immediately sussed out by my nose, sharp and grassy, clashing violently with the already cluttered accord. Think of a "Woody Oasis"-scented vacuum cleaner bag stuffed with talcum powder and faded perfume-y petals. And then it goes off. The drydown is where the house collapses. Powder. So much powder. That awful, chalky, synthetic sort, cloying like a windswept cosmetic turmoil. Underneath is something vaguely edible, but not in a pleasing way. A spice 'n carrot muffin, but made with dollar-store cinnamon and iced with lipstick. Never before had I encountered a gourmand this accidental, like the fragrance tried to pivot mid-narrative. It doesn’t smell like La Femme. It smells like femme, pluralised. All of them. Their perfumes mixed in the communal office air. Soaps, powders, old crumbs, every department store tester strip from 2007. Ooh, rough. And too tough for me to bear.
was hoping this would blow me away, it has all the notes i love but i dont think id get a fb, lasts so short but while its there you get a whole complex symphony of waxy florals and slight citrus, but after 10min its gone to skin and its just soap (not even a cute jadore type soap, very faint) so maybe its office safe, or good for everyday . for the price, it made me consider poeme or prada ylang instead . pradas very hit or miss anyway . maybe its longer lasting on clothes?
The la femme line is one of my favorites. So feminine, this one. Perfect daily spring summer fragrance, floral, sweet, not too much but grounded in a feminine softness. Lasts all day for me, but my favorite is the intense! Just makes me happy. The la eau is also very pretty and feminine, great every day spring summer, and the absolu is a wow summer evening scent! I would hope Prada brings back one or more of this line, I’ve found nothing similar and it was just so good!
I blind bought this the first time not for me but for my sister as a gift. But after smelling her wearing this, I knew I had to get a bottle. It's a soft waxy honey perfume. Decent sillage and longevity. Office safe and pretty for daytime.
I sadly fell for the hype of this fragrance. Thank God I purchased a used bottle that was not expensive. I have to admit that I don’t understand this fragrance. The beeswax called my name, but all I smell is a screechy mess that is fresh in a way but not pleasant at all to my nose. It’s sharp, almost synthetic-smelling on my skin, and never settles into anything remotely enjoyable. Maybe my nose just doesn’t get it, but this one was a total miss for me.
I heard amazing things about this fragrance and so badly wanted to like it. I found it a huge disappointment. The initial spray was underwhelming but was hoping something amazing would happen in the dry down. Nothing happened. In fact, it pretty much disappeared altogether. I sprayed both on skin and topped it off with a spray on my clothes. I couldn’t smell it at all thirty minutes later. If I really stick my nose in my sweater, I can pick up a tiny bit of the carrot seed, and that’s about it. I don’t get any floral nor beeswax. I can’t even detect vanilla. I’ll see if the vanilla evolves but if not, I will be passing this on. I wish I hadn’t purchased the 100ml because I feel this was a waste and could’ve purchased something else that would perform much better for me.
I didn't like this at all. Its floral and farty. Very old ladyish and not in a powdery, mature way.
The original Prada la Femme is getting a little difficult to find (in the US) and I'm trying to decide whether or not to purchase it again. What I like about this fragrance is that it smells... expensive. Aside from that, it's a little mundane. It's pleasant and lovely, with gently balanced florals, not too overpowering at first, and a nice powdery dry-down. I'm leaning toward not repeating this purchase, though, because along with that nice powdery dry-down, the fragrance gets sweeter and sweeter, to the point of almost reaching the rotting fruit stage. Almost. It's a little too close for me.
Super feminine and perfect for everyday wear. Has a very floral and “clean” smell to it. I frequently received compliments when wearing this perfume. Wish the scent would last for longer tho :/
I really like this scent but I honestly can’t smell it on me after about half an hour. It smells very light and clean and I love the Frangipani note. I wish it was stronger, but it is very wearable.
I did not like this at all! It is very old fashioned. It was a blind buy that I regretted.
Beautiful sunscreen smell
Just got a mini of this. It s an old gave but I can hardly smell it after that masculine la intense femme. Idk if intense has the same spices as this one does, but this is the ultimate feminine smell! Even the Ai insults are actually compliments lol
