Insurrection II Wild

A clone of Mugler A*Men Pure Havane. Right off the sniff you can catch the A*Men malted dna. It opens with bright cherry tobacco, dips into honey and some subtle spices in the heart, ultimately smoothing out into a creamy base of smoky vanilla and a tonka sweetened cacao; it's like a malted chocolate dry down that you made out of some used whiskey barrels. This is fantastic.

Whoever said this smells like PURE HAVANE???? nope no It opens with this very SWEET like smell I genuinely get Cherry Coke, like wtf? Seriously don't smell tobacco unless it's like the aura of the smell woth my nose 2 feet away, then yes I smell tobacco. Everything together smells like Cherry Coke concentrate that's super sweet and dark. Not AT ALL like Pure Havane, galactic man by Maison Alhambra Actaully got it correct.

I am not sure how people don't think this is good for summer. It is literally a suns-out summer fragrance. Fresh, spicy, very light and uplifting, soapy and clean, honey, with a touch of pipe tobacco. Works perfectly for a warm FL day. Either way, it's very, very good, and at 25$ its a no-brainer if you like a more mature, unique fragrance. I've never tried mugler a*men pure havane but the comparisons to Naxos are kind of annoying. Naxos is very much its own thing. The lavender alone makes a point of that.

fantastic clone of mugler a*men pure havane, probably the best you're going to get. warm, enveloping woods with sweet tobacco and honey and a hint of cherry on top. to my nose pure havane is a much more coherent execution of the same concept- whereas the reyane comes across more like a well-executed blend of individually pleasant notes that mingle very well together, pure havane is realistic cherry tobacco and cacao in a high quality dark (and slightly damp) wrapper. side-by-side the difference is absolutely noticeable and this is to be expected, but i think it helps to know just how they differ in terms of presentation and perception. this isn't going to give you the same experience as pure havane, but at roughly US$25/100mL it's a fantastic substitute and one i wouldn't hesitate to recommend. that being said if you're on the fence about buying a bottle of pure havane and can afford to do so, i would go for it.

Just sprayed this for the first time in probably two years. Holy cow! Guess it’s like wine and just gets better with age. For a $22 fragrance idk if it gets any better. If you can get your hands on it, buy it!

Never tried the original. Had a sample of Naxos--this smells nothing like Naxos. However, I'm honestly upset with myself for not buying this sooner. Absolutely incredible. Masculine, sweet, done to perfection.

I have both Insurrection II wild and Pure Havane by Mugler. At the beginning, in the top notes, Pure Havane is deeper and more pleasant—I just can’t stop smelling it. Insurrection II is further off, though you can still detect a certain distant resemblance. As time goes by, it gets closer to Pure Havane, and in the dry down the similarity becomes more obvious—I’d say about 90%. But for me, Pure Havane remains the master, with an incredible scent. For those who don’t have it, Insurrection II wild does the job very well and is a very good choice. For the longevity, both of them are have similar longevity. 11/02/26 This is much better than Naxos.

'Insurrection II Wild' feels like a bit of a nostalgic throwback to the early/mid 2010's with its playful, sweet tobacco infused tonka heavy scent profile. This scent opens up sweet with loud and fizzy honey infused spices but still carries a certain freshness that almost feels soapy -- it's very unique and synthetic but smells really good. This phase of the fragrance smells like an elevated and more complex version of CK 'One Shock' that replaces the patchouli with vanilla, tonka bean and definitely some star anise. In the drydown, the tonka bean mixed with the tobacco and cacao and spices (as I said, definitely some star anise in here) makes for a sweet, warm and very pleasant scent that persists for hours on skin and even longer on clothes. Upon first spray, it instantly reminded me of scents like 'Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo', CK 'One Shock' and of course, the legendary 'A*Men' by Thierry Mugler. I'm very nostalgic for this period of fragrances, since I was in my mid teens and was just starting to develop my taste in perfumery and those were some of the heavy hitters back in that day. If you like sweet, youthful but masculine fragrances -- give this one a try. I'm glad I did, because it's superb and reminds me of why I got into fragrances in the first place. Love it.

Pretty good scent but for the price it’s frickin amazing. I like it and would get it but it’s a bit redundant for my collection however I do feel it’s blind buy safe. Got a sample from a buddy and he did say it needs to sit and mature. I decided to layer it with Dunhill Egyptian Smoke which is a banger.

Anyone else get a Funk from this?¿ (NOT the Animalic notes from the Wood , & Not the Medicinal note from the Vanilla/Cacao. Just a Gross Funky Something that Lingers Throughout the Top & Mid Notes. That said even with that Funk it is still an Awesome Pure Havanne Clone. Have Any Of You Purchased Recently Made Bottles (Last 6 Years) & If so how does it compare to Older Versions like the 2016 Batch I Own... (& No it hasn't spoiled, the Funk was Present from the very first spray in 2016 & After Masseration in 2017 this Funk was Present? Anyone else? Has It Been Tweaked or Corrected? TY -Shawn 🍻

This one is so close to Xerjoff Naxos dry down it’s ridiculous! A bit fresher in the opening but if you take away the Jasmine that’s almost animalic from the opening of Naxos then Insurrection Wild gives you a similar budget Naxos for $20! The longevity on this one is pretty good to top it off. Easily one of the best budget tobacco juices I’ve tried to date! This is a no brainier for the $!

I like this fragrance, but I also don't. The first time I sprayed it in the air to start the maceration process, I loved it. But now that I've worn it, I get that medicinal note that everyone talks about and I can't shake it. But I can definitely see the potential in it smelling really good. I'll give it away.

If you can get hold of this stuff it’s simply sublime.

Its definitely a very good tobacco sweet scent with great performance. However if this is what pure havane / naxos smells like then i consider it second best tobacco sweet scent profile, as compared to HEROD that i like more. I have never tried naxos or pure havane but i have compared herod with its best dupe Hercules from Maison Alhambra, and its spot on, infact the performance was equally good too and on clothes it stays for weeks (not bad for a dupe). I macerated mine for few months before using. That said, anyone who loves this kind of scent profile will love INS II WILD. its amazing for its price given its quality and performance.

The only sweet fragrance that I enjoy and appreciate the most.

Very nice, classy, scent. The opening is very synthetic but gets better after about 10 minutes. Definitely sweet with the honey and tobacco, but the wood is very pronounced to me. Definitely could shine as a day or night scent in the winter and fall. I would think the scent is not for everyone, but worth a blind buy if you are into warm tobacco scents.

Was apprehensive on this due to mixed reviews. But I must be on the love side of it cause this is amazing! Best £17 I’ve spent in a while. Easy, fresh, masculine, woody scent. This is definitely gonna be on the daily rotation.

Cherry tobacco cigar with added coco for sweetness. Absolute masterpiece at s budget price.

I think I remember Mymickers talking about this fragrance back in the day. RIP bud. When I first tried it, I think I even preferred it over pure havane because havane seemed a little too sweet for me. I recall this toned down the sweetness and had more depth and tobacco in it. I think most of us preferred this one over the real deal. My bottle I found with a tiny bit in it and it's gone a tad funky, but still smells really good. It's a cherry-ish sweet tobacco and honey kind of smell. Has pretty good performance too. On the synthetic side, but so was pure havane.

Agree with previous comment, only thing i'd add is that people need to understand that higher price point does not mean more projection or longer lasting (or that higher quality ingredients have been used) it's a myth/bias/conclusion that is spread by YouTubers and frag community. Projection and longevity exist in cheap perfume and expensive perfume, some cheap perfumes smell amazing, because price has nothing to do with it. Xerjoff/PDM and MANY other niche brands make perfume with VERY cheap, low cost materials, yes they smell great because they are are made by talented perfumers, but this does not mean the juice cost a lot to make or is of supreme magical quality. They charge outrageous prices as a marketing strategy, that is all. VERY few brands use high quality expensive materials and those things actually have very little to do with how nice it smells, it's projection or longevity. It just doesnt work like that. People throw these ideas around as though they understand how they are made. It's just prestige pricing placebo effect and misinformation. Most niche brands spend more on the bottle caps than the juice inside the bottle! The perfume in this bottle has no difference in quality that any PDM/Xerjoff or Initio etc etc. Its just priced fairly, whereas the "luxury" brands do not!

People on here are ridiculous, there's a reason why it's rated so high. This isn't a clone of naxos or herod, it's suppose to be a clone of pure havane, at least if you are going to criticize get the fragrance right. That being said, name me one fragrance that's 20 bucks and has this quality? If this was on a designer or niche bottle people would be tripping over themselves on how good it is, but since it's on the lower end of price point they nitpick. It's 20 bucks you expect it to last 10+ hours and on the same quality as xerjoff and PDM? High expectations much? For the price they are selling this it's a win, if you can afford 200 dollar + niche fragrances why are you buying 20 dollar clones? Seriously the snobbery is unreal.

This is currently my all time favourite tobacco fragrance. Yes even above Naxos. A beautiful syrupy honey tobacco, warm and enveloping. Very addictive. This gets a lot of criticism for being cheap smelling because of the price placebo effect, if this cost £200 then it would be up there with the top rated. Perceived value bias = “It costs a lot so then it must be superior quality” if only this were true. Stunning fragrance sold at a great price! How it should be 👏🏼👏🏼

Meh for me - doesn't smell bad (strong sweet scent for winter and night time) but you can tell right away what a cheap synthetic mess it is. Try to let it sit on t-shirt for a day or two and you'll see - when the sweet scent disappears only cheap medicinal/technical alcohol smell stays and even after washing the t-shirt in washing machine which never happened to me before with any other perfume regardless the costs. I threw it the trash because of that. There's plenty better options.
