This smell exactly like Christmas potpourri w berries. I like it but only for December.
I absolutely LOVE this fragrance Beautiful vanilla and tobacco scent super rich perfect for winter absolute historical scent But its really overpriced in my opinion
Historical Scent This scent created its own blueprint. A chocolatey, vanilla tobacco with some light spice This DNA has been copied and improved upon greatly over the years. But TV will always be a classic and a great wear for when there is a cold chill outside Fun Fact: This is Bruce Waynes Signature scent
Its the mid note of cacao and and the base note of dried fruits that ruin the whole composition for me. Hard to even smell the tobacco top note through all the sweet goo. Not sure what the ambiguous "spicy notes" are, but they're not helping. Ive been reading the hype about this fragrance for years and finally tested it in Sephora, so I know I didn't smell a fake. I brought the test strip home with me and smelled it again 60 minutes after the initial spray. Its gross and certainly not a tobacco forward fragrance.
Definitely don't hate this fragrance as the dry down is a smooth vanilla but the tobacco is way to powerful in the opening and quite overwhelming
Classy fruity and sweet. To me this smells like a fruit tea with some honey in it. The opening is horrible thought but it only lasts a minute or two so I can’t complain about it too much.
Opening smells like spiced flavor cha cha sunflower seeds then dries down to the gingerbread latte from Starbucks.
this smells like the type of tobacco you would smell on an old smoker who hasn't cleaned themselves in 2+ months. the type of tobacco u smell that reeks off of strangers you pass on the streets, and u gag because the smell is nauseating and vile and strong. it's not like a good, complex tobacco that makes u smell mysterious and mature. the first sniff is like straight-up piss for me, and it became more earthy as it dried down, but i did not get any vanilla from this i wanted to like it, and maybe it's just my skin chemistry, or maybe i need to give it more time to settle bc the first spray was very harsh, but i did not enjoy this scent at all unfortunately
on me, this smells like one of those small gingerbread cookies that costa cafes give out with your coffee. i prefer it on others, but wear it myself from time to time. smoky, spicy, popular for an amazing reason.
Tobacco Vanille is a heavy, nauseating scent. Imagine spilling heavily roasted dark vanilla cream coffee beans onto a pile of pipe tobacco while standing in a room filled with fog from a skating rink fog machine. If that seems like your type of scent you may love it. However, it's not my cup of tea.
Very powerful scent that commands prescence. Strong Tobacco Flower top note - rather than a smoky smell, so its very nice without smelling like cigarettes. Also a strong woody top note that compliments well. Base notes come through on the dry down, beautiful vanilla and spicy. Not for everyone - refined patrons only. Wear only if you want to be noticed!
the opening to me smells like honey mixed rootbeer, when it dries down the individual notes start to become more defined; overall quite like this one.
I love how it is blended But to my nose , very weak!
maybe ill try again in winter its justtt not my cup of tea. which im shocked about bc it is so popular and im not trying to be subversive and cool and niche for not liking (hating) it!. maybe it doesnt smell well with my skin or something because it is lowkey nauseating and smells like i rubbed nutmeg on myself
Tested it today and for some reason, this pulled like photorealistic warm honey on me, with a tinge of play dough on the dry down. A nice smell, but an unpleasant surprise considering the name and the price tag. I tried this on at the largest commercial perfume+cosmetics store in my city, so its unlikely it was a fake. The sillage is LARGE and it smells quite strongly, so if you're into that, then i recommend it :) DEFINITELY try before you buy, though
Imagine a dry spicy realistic tobacco accord alongside a very sweet sugary vanilla accord. The vanilla is sweet and "ambery". There is a tart and cherry like feel way way in the background that pairs well with the spices, tobacco and the sugary sweetness. Smells very addictive IF you are into VERY sweet scents ! also performs well.
I get dried tobacco leaf combined with vanilla. It’s simple but somehow strangely addictive. Every time I wear it I appreciate it more. Lasts a very long time on my skin My Mrs, on the other hand, can smell spices & cloves… that’s it. No vanilla whatsoever. She absolutely hates it, which probably tells you everything you need to know about how divisive this fragrance can be. That being said this definitely isn’t a blind buy it’s not an everyday wear. It’s masculine (IMO) beautifully simple. A very nice evening wear special occasions/events scent
I'm going to be honest, I smelt this at John Lewis, and it gave me the worst headache I've ever gotten. I am confused as to how people do not get sick from it. Its way too strong, and personally all I got was some super strong Tobacco-ish smell, no vanilla at all. I feel like this is more of a collectors fragrance rather then something people would wear on a daily. Oh well, each to their own I guess.
I don't like sweet perfumes but this is an exception, masterpiece.
My final piece to my collection, sophisticated, elegant, sweet and great longevity.
I don't think quinsniffs has ever smelled this before, because he is too poor and gets high on chromosomes.
This smells like mint chip ice cream to me― I have no idea why. It shouldn't. It doesn't smell like tobacco or vanilla, to me. It smells like a toilet bowl. Or a very well-kept porta-potty. Thank god it has poor longevity. TF disappoints yet again.
I lovee it. Top notes may not be the easiest on the nose, but the dry down is ecstatic. Been sniffing myself all day long. I dont mind using this as an everyday fragrance in the cold months.
I wanted to love it, tobacco is my favourite note, but all I get is yet another cloying vanillabomb without any tobacco. Might make a good ladies frag, but the sillage can annoy others.
I wore tobacco vanille to work one day and a State Trooper came into the control room and complimented me and said he could smell my perfume out in the hallway. And the crazy thing about it was I was out in the hallway 10 minutes before he came into the building. I can still smell it on my clothes after I wash them.
I think the smell itself is actually pretty good but not for everyone. The first time I smelled this with my girlfriend, i immediately said "This just smells like vanilla incense.". I still stand by what i say. Even though it smells good, it is not type of fragrance i would wear at least not frequently. It smells elegant, masculine (I don't know how people think this smells unisex) and HEAVY. God it is actually heavy it makes your brain go kabooom for the first 15-20 minutes. It lasts very long, i'd say between long lasting and eternal and sillage is very strong. I gifted it to my dad and he sprays it everytime he goes out. I don't think it is a good use of it but he uses a fragrance and thats one thing %99 of people don't do so it's alright.
this perfume smells nice, so i can't dislike it... but i can't like it either. it smells exactly how it claims to. i can sense both tobacco and vanilla very clearly, with unintelligible warm spices and the faintest hint of dried stone fruit. it has linear development with very strong potency, longevity, projection, all of which i can appreciate. i put two sprays on my inner elbow and it was way too intense; i could smell it radiating up towards my nose all day. one spray shared between both wrists would have been enough. applying it to the abdomen or back of knees might be ideal. i wouldn't recommend putting it on your chest or close to your face, as it can be cloying, especially in hot weather. i have mixed feelings about this perfume because in circumstances that are adequately distressing, my body could have produced this odour. i got very sick in my late teens and my sneezes smelled sweet. it happens to people who are starving, diabetic, or have some kind of sinus infection.; i believe it has something to do with extra ketones in the bloodstream. it doesn't smell exactly like this perfume, but close enough that the association is there for me. dont get me wrong, it smells good. but naturally the association with illness makes it off-putting for me. i must say that in spite of--nay, because of--this association, i have to applaud tobacco vanille as a very natural scent. what's worse is that it's *almost* sexy to me, in the same way that the way you were abused as a child might become something that excites you in the bedroom as an adult. all in all, i'm quite glad i smelled this because it made me realize that i like tobacco scents. i'll have to look for something similar, sans the sickly sweetness. update: this perfume is such a beast that a full 12 hours after trying it on, the scent remained strong enough to contribute to an unfortunate sensory overload episode that i had that night. it was hell, but i gotta hand it to tom ford. insane performance. if i ever catch a whiff of this again i'll probably get really scared and start freaking out. update: had to change my vote from "ok" to "hate" because this scent actually haunts me now. it completely spoiled my taste for any sweet male perfume. i had to go through all my votes and move every similar scent to "dislike." goodbye le male, angel's share, forever wanted absolu. i can't stand them anymore. diabetics beware.
Smells just like vanilla clove cigarettes, nostalgia of Djarum Black fills my mind with each sniff. I’d love to smell this on a woman.
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille is one of the most iconic luxury gourmand fragrances ever created. It opens with a rich blend of tobacco leaf and spicy notes, creating a warm and sophisticated first impression. As it develops, creamy vanilla, dried fruits, and sweet accords appear, giving it a smooth, luxurious, and addictive character. Performance is excellent, easily lasting 10+ hours with strong projection and a powerful scent trail. It is best suited for autumn, winter, and elegant evening occasions, where its rich and sweet personality can truly shine. The main downside is the price. Tobacco Vanille is a very expensive fragrance, and although the quality and uniqueness are impressive, the cost can be difficult to justify for some people, especially when there are more affordable alternatives with a similar style. Despite that, its luxurious feel, incredible performance, and timeless scent profile make it a true classic in the fragrance world. 9.4/10.
It smells like rancid cat piss to me
