I don’t really smell coconut water or Lily of the valley distinctly, though I think I get a bit of rose (I love Aerin Grasse Rose, too). To my nose it’s exactly as it’s named: amber/musk, with a bit of benzoin’s sweetness. It’s not harsh or raspy. It’s soft’ish, modern, stays airy & doesn’t go dense or opaque on the skin, and no sugar syrup. It’s nice. I’d probably reach for it on the regular if I had a bottle (just finishing a sample this afternoon). I think I would actually wear this. Maybe? Probably? I’m not sure. Anyway, I do really like it. The bottle is pretty. Adding later: I became tired of it as time passed. I sort of thought that might happen because for me that often does happen with modern perfumes, no matter how lovely. I lose interest in non-evolving perfumes as they fade. Maybe it’s just my skin. I’m glad I had the chance to try it anyway. And as ever, your mileage may vary wildly.
A very beautiful cozy and intimate scent I really love it feels like a warm hug, it is a very comforting scent and is very well blended and smooth I really love it as it carries beautiful memories I will always have it in my rotation as it’s a safe reach and crowd pleasing.
This is a nice soft amber in a bottle. I find it difficult with amber, because it can so easily overpower anything in a fragrance. I'm not even sure I can detect the musk in there, but definately a soft amber. This is not for someone who is looking for a fresh floral, this is a mature, soft, skin scent with ''umf''. I would love to be hugged by someone wearing this and just take all the cozyness in. Funny enough it reminds me a lot of Amor Amor by Chacharel (which was sprayed in unhealthy amounts in my school a looong time ago). So if you want a more grown up version of that, you should definately try this.
To me, the person who said this smells like Amika hair products is spot-on! It's clean but with an easy warmth underneath, a sweet, cozy, and simple scent. Very feminine-- womanly, not girlish. Sits very close to the skin. I'm not a fan of this scent profile on me, but I see the appeal.
I have to agree with some of the reviews - the drydown is a bit similar to mon guerlain. It's cozy, but i get a bit of a generic designer vibe with it. I got it as a gift from my mom, and i have nothing like this in my collection (this is not typical what i go for), so i'll treasure it ❤️
Sweet, resinous, dusty, very rose forward. Reminiscent of many VS perfumes, but more unisex.
Amber Musk smells like a woman who doesn’t need to announce herself. She’s soft-spoken, calm, clean, poised, and quietly luxurious. The kind of person who walks into a room and somehow everyone feels her presence without her even trying. Every single time I wear this perfume, somebody turns around to ask what I’m wearing. It’s subtle, but captivating. Rich without being loud. Warm, elegant, serious, but with so much depth to it. The scent draws you in first, and the longer it sits on you, the better it gets. If this perfume were a person, she’d be the woman who has money but never talks about it. Humble, composed, fascinating without trying to be. Truly one of the most beautiful scents I’ve worn.
I forgot how amazing this is! This is literally the perfect scent, I do not understand how it's not more popular. I personally like my scents a little fresher, a little crisper, but for so many people I think this is literally flawless
It smells like Baby Soft to me.
Very light, airy, warm, minimally sweet. For those who like those classy "barely there" kind of scents, like Molecule 01 :)
This is such a beautiful and warm vanilla musk skin scent. I also love the benzoin note - one of my favourite in perfumes. This perfume is cozy and perfect for fall and winter… the longevity and silage is very poor so I use it as my bed time, Yoga or doctor’s visit scent. As no one will smell it but me. However! On paper it will last for few days.. so I keep scented paper strips and use them as my book marks. I wish it came out in Intense or Extrait version. Overall it’s stunning scent! So in love.
A nice soft neutral option. Not something I’d buy a full bottle of, because you can definitely get something with the same effect for a fraction of the price, but delightful to have as a sample. Stays comfortably close to the skin, subtle and inoffensive.
Tested from a carded sample. This one unfortunately does nothing for me. On my skin it is nice, but bland and muted, and it doesn't last very long before needing to re-apply. At first I thought I am anosmic to the musks, but others around me also couldn't smell anything unless they put their nose to my wrists. I used up a 1.5ml vial in one day.
Now I know why I love this so much, my favourite scent of all time Tom Ford Soleil Neige EDP.... that's what this smells like just without the bitter smell to it. The smell is better than Soleil neige but the performance isn't as good
Does anyone else get a plum top note? To me it has a hint of NR Musc Noir For Her but without the Narciso musk DNA. Very soft and pretty, this would be a safe office scent or for people who dislike strong fragrances.
I am an amber and musk aficianado I love them This was too bland and weak for my liking Barely could smell it throughout the day
Beautiful soft cosy skin scent
To my nose this smells like a mix between Navitus siesta drive and Xerjoff lira, but I guess you could put it into the same category as D&G devotion as well. Definitely more musky and marshmallowy, with a fluffy cloud like texture and the coconut water is super good in here. Actually a fire perfume love it
A really beautiful skin musk scent but out of the musk lineup this one is just a little bland for my liking. Not super unique or a must have. But the Aerin amber musk Santal is a totally different story. The Santal one has so much depth and warmth that this one needs so badly. Almost a love just missing the umph.
This fragrance reminds me of a woman in a long silk skirt and a cashmere sweater: classy, poised, and effortlessly elegant. Though I usually dislike lily of the valley, I barely detect it here. The florals stay soft and in the background, adding a touch of grace while amber and musk take center stage. It’s perfect for late fall, winter, and early spring. When I first tested it in-store, I thought it was just “nice,” but hours later I kept catching whiffs of creamy warmth that completely won me over. Once I realized it was the amber musk, I immediately bought a bottle for my mom. The dry down reminds me why amber is my favorite note; it’s rich, soft, and comforting. Every time she wears it, that beautiful creaminess fills the air, and I’m reminded of how stunning this perfume truly is. If you’re searching for a soft, warm, and elegant scent for the colder months, this is it.
I never wrote a review, but this has been my signature since February this year. This is the classy and elevated cachemire scent. I wore VS Pink Warm and Cozy in middle school, and now in law school this is what I have worn. Only issue is increasing pricing with this 2hour longevity. This is the perfect scent but the longevity makes me question if I should re buy this. 146 euro for 50ml is quite a lot considering the projection and longevity. So my 50ml bottle lasted me around 8 months. I sprayed very heavy, around 5-20 spritzes.
Love this one! It smells like Amika hair products. I picture growing on a cashmere sweater and snuggling near a fireplace on a rainy day. It smells clean, warm, and soft. One of those your skin but better. Doll skin.
Wears very close to the skin, it’s beautiful with sadly no discernible projection…. I wear it out of nostalgia more than anything.
Zero - literally zero - silage. How can they charge so much for this? Actually how can they charge at all? Nice for a nano second if you bury your head in your wrist and concentrate very hard. Truly pointless.
I enjoy dry down of this.. after about two hours I get this beautiful soft skin scent. But there is a sharpness before that, that makes me tempted to declutter. The sharpness reminds me slightly of Soleil Neige. I wish I could return 😭
Amber Musk is like your favourite blanket - it’s warm, cosy, and smells like a soft-focus hug. Not loud, not flashy, it’s an understated fragrance that’s quietly enveloping.
To me this smells like what I imagine cashmere should smell like. Cashmere and slippers and sitting under a blanket on a cold day reading a book with a cream cashmere sweater and messy hair. To my nose it's classy, clean, and a bit sweet. It's a warm hug
It’s ok . It’s not ground breaking .. I think I’m kind of not a fan because of the Lilly of the valley . The amber does a good job of balancing it out .. but sometimes lily of the valley irritates me lol & I think it’s a little irritating . As it dries the amber and musk get more prominent which I like … so I think the magic happens more with the dry down not on initial spray .
It was not love at first sniff. But the more i use it, the more i felt comfortable, cozy & clean. It has airy & soft skinscent that makes u wanna bite your own skin... is that because of type of musk?
I can't exactly recall when I got a sample of Aerin's Amber Musk, but I do pretty much keep all my samples & revisit them at random later to see if my tastes have changed. In this case I think it's been years since I received my sample of Amber Musk & something about it is quickly nauseating to me, & even moreso the longer it sits on my skin. 73 degrees Fahrenheit, humidity 59%, wind 6 MPH (light, warm breeze), feels like 76 degrees Fahrenheit, 7:35PM on Sunday June 8th 2025 in the Midwestern United States. My mistake. Re-reading the sample card, it does seem to use language that would hint towards trying the fragrance when it's cold. But I saw coconut water & thought it'd be fine in legitimate heat. Wrong. WRONG. It is much too sweet. Something combines that smells like baby spit-up & spoiled milk on me. I love JHAG Not a Perfume & find Amber Musk to be a completely different fragrance.. Not even comparable to eachother honestly.. Not much a fan of Glossier You, it is OK but still, closer to JHAG NAP & doesn't smell related to Amber Musk. It has me thinking that the formula for Amber Musk is not nearly using as much Ambrox. It is not a note I'm afraid of when I see it. I certainly smell the Amber accord here, as well as the musk but more in feeling--not in a white musk laundry detergent kind of way. It takes about an hour for the crrreeeeaaaaaaamy, thickened sweetness to let up & show its "best" side. I think this is what people are smelling that love the fragrance. Very, finding your warmest, coziest beige cashmere sweater. Maybe your only one as you're not typically a beige person but you bought it back when the economy was good & were browsing the designers at Macy's or Nordstrom's & never having felt the softness of cashmere before, it just blew your mind & you Had To Have It. Unfortunately at the 1-and-a-half-to-2-hour point, the Lily of the Valley blooms more & more & this fragrance goes from very modern grown-up amber musk scent to something very been-there done-that & could be the smell of your mum or memaw coming home at the end of her work day after wearing a vintage lily of the valley-centered fragrance. Not sure how but it goes from smelling expensive to smelling differently... Not so nuanced, more made up of a simple formula of notes, but still subtle & beautiful in its own way.
